Don Patron - Mexican Grill & Cantina

No complaints, the food was served fast. The waiter was nice and checked on my needs 3 times. They have Mexican Coca-Cola, which is much better than the swill we get in the store. Give the place a try.

Food is pretty solid. There are better Mexican spots nearby but the people are great and the food is pretty good. The Al Pastor Tacos were really tasty.

Loved this spot. The chimichangas and birra tacos were delicious. The staff and atmosphere was excellent. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for some great food!

I was searching for highly rated places nearby and found this. Extremely glad that I did! Fantastic flavors, generally if I eat Mexican far outside Boston it doesn’t really taste as good. This place is an exception! I really enjoyed my steak burrito. Asked them for some really spicy sauce and it was absolutely incredible. My wife had a pineapple cut in half with shrimp I believe in it. She was a bit disappointed it wasn’t very big, but certainly tasty. The best thing was their salsa! I loved the consistency of the smooth sauce, I cannot stand chunky salsa so if you like smooth salsa this place is a great selection. I was thoroughly impressed and I’m sure we will return again. We ordered take out so didn’t have the opportunity to try drinks so we will soon.

These are 2 kids meals costing $16. Are they supposed to share the one to go container? What kind of restaurant makes kids meals without any side, costing $8 each? $8 for a kids taco? We have dined in many times and received sides with the kids meals at no additional charge so I find this frustrating! We have ordered takeout twice and both times no sides with kids meals so this was no mistake. Was supposed to be an easy take out night..The food is always delicious, just need to mindful of customers utilizing takeout option!

The food here was really good! This was a recommendation by some locals we were at an event with. Their drinks are amazing too and worth every penny spent here. Forgot to take more pictures but the churros were a great end to the meal. 5/5!

Great meals last night, fantastic service by all employees we saw. Very attentive and pleasant while doing a great job with our table. Chicken Fajitas and taco salad were great. Our first time and can't wait to go back soon. My wife said the margarita was perfect.

Food is good. Unfortunately, they recently raised their prices by 20% making it too expensive for casual Mexican.

Over priced Mexican food. $22 for 1 plain burrito plopped on a plate without anything else. No guac, sour cream, lettuce or salsa served with it. Most Mexican restaurants would charge $12 to $15 for an ala carte burrito.

Had a wonderful meal here today. Combo fish and shrimp tacos with refried beans and rice were very tast. Rice did not come hot but next time I'll mention it if it happens again. I also had the passion fruit margarita. I was disappointed at the flavor- not enough fruit taste (very light) or tequila. My friend had the chicken fajitas. I only wish there was a lunch menu that was less expensive. Took pictures of the menu because the website did not have it on my phone.

Stopped in for a quick bite at the bar. Staff was very welcoming. Complimentary chips and salsa arrived quickly. Bartender suggested the birria tacos which were excellent. Interior is brand new and super clean. I look forward to visiting with family or friends.

We came on Cinco de Mayo and had the absolute best time. The service was incredible and the energy was high. Everyone was SO nice and we were never without something as someone was always coming to our table. Got margaritas and mole enchiladas and everything was over the top. I don't live in the area anymore but would DEFINITELY come back just for Don Patron. Thank you!!!

Ordered a shot of Patron - server or bartender didn't know how to serve - had to ask for lime & salt so he reaches over gets the table salt from another table and there you go!! Flavorless food - loud noise thanks to piped in effects! Never Again!!

My wife wanted Mexican food so we chose this place as we've never been there before and it had good reviews. We go in and want to sit at the bar. The bar area was full and loud. A nice gentleman was at the bar with his family and offered to move down a seat so my wife and I could sit there. The staff didn't kindly ask him, he did it on his own. We got the chips and salsa but we had to ask for everything. Ask for a side plate. Ask for chips and salsa. Ask for drinks. Ask if we could put in our order. I ordered a draft beer and it was cold and delicious. My wife ordered Prosecco but they ran out so she got a wine. She ordered chicken fajitas and they came out but we had to ask for the tortillas. I ordered chicken tacos with no onions. They came out loaded with onions. They sent them back and came back correct but I had to ask for some sauce as it came with nothing but radish. We just had the one drink and our food. The food was good but the service was lacking. No one came over to check on us. The parking out front is a little scar and tight as they're doing road work and they tore up their parking lot. This place is pretty good but there's so many other Mexican restaurants to go to as well in the area.

FINALLY! A good restaurant in North Framingham/ Marlborough. Mini taquitos, carne asada, chimichanga were all excellent. Literally every staff member we passed smiled and said "hi". So excited to have a new neighborhood place. Keep it up, Don Patron!

Got up from our spot at the bar where we had been having drinks to say hi to other friends at the bar and the bartender cleared our spot despite our saying we were just walking a few chairs over to say hi and when we hadn't even ordered food yet. The margaritas are way too sweet and the food is okay at best.

Our meetup group dined at Don Patron tonight, and I was so impressed by everything! Beginning with our waiter Julio, who was very attentive, friendly, and accommodating. The food was so delicious; I had chicken quesadilla with refried beans and rice, and it was so good. We definitely plan to return to this gem!

Stopped for a late lunch. Only 2 other tables busy. Impressed with the décor. Was never in the old place, but everything looked new and clean. Waiter was very friendly and attentive, but not a bother. Margarita was ok. I had beef burrito, wife had chimichanga. Both were pretty good. Presentation was a little different than I am used to, but don't actually get out to other Mexican places in the area. Its handy to where we live, so I could see going there again and trying another dish. We did like the Mexican style music in the background. Didn't feel overwhelming.

Our first time to the new Don Patron. The service was fast and very efficient, perfectly timed visits to the table. The drinks were wonderful. I order carne asada rare. This is very difficult to do since the cut of beef is so thin. It was perfect. Quesdillas were also great. Will be back soon. The restaurant makeover is very well done. Perhaps the music is a bit loud in the bar, but not too bad. Great dinner!

I am always hoping for a decent restaurant in Marlborough. Guess I will keep looking. Ordered a steak burrito bowl for pick up. It was the strangest Mexican burrito bowl I have ever eaten. Small tiny pieces of steak resembling ground beef, carrots, zucchini, squash, and broccoli as the vegetables (expected onions, peppers, corn, perhaps) and bland rice with black beans. I asked for sour cream on the side and received a packet of blue cheese dressing. So basically a strange relatively flavorless combination of ingredients. Thoroughly unimpressed and do not feel the need to visit in person.

We gave this place a try after waiting months and months for it to open and it is a one and done for me. The staff was friendly (our waitress was very sweet) but so slow. It's incredibly loud with the same music on repeat (I guess that happens when it takes almost two hours to have your meal). They had a wall mounted air conditioner running on high blowing cold air (keep in mind it was 50° outside) and when I asked to have it turned down (twice) I was ignored, it was very uncomfortable. We ordered chili con queso and it took almost 20 minutes to arrive, and it was cold. I had a burrito and I've had better at Chipotle; I only ate half and not because I wasn't hungry. My husband ordered tacos without onions and they came loaded with finely diced onions. Acapulco's was a nice place to go so this was surprisingly disappointing.

Last night we had our first visit to this New Mexican restaurant in Marlborough. We sat at the bar and had a great experience. The bartender was great as was the Conquistador margaritas. Service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean. The food was delicious ......enchiladas Rojas and chicken fajita. No complaints! BTW....the music was not blaring. The ambiance was very appropriate. Will return again soon!

The food is absolutely delicious! I had the carne asada and it tasted amazing. The rice and beans that came with it were so good as well. The chips and chile con queso tasted so good. The drinks were also so well made and I could not get enough of them. The service was also amazing. Our server was so attentive and very friendly so he also made the experience even better! I will be coming back soon!!

Best Mexican restaurant in Marlborough and area highly recommend looks really nice and different from other Mexican restaurants and has great food, great drinks, and the staff is really nice and friendly they gave us great service

This place just opened in the old Halfway Cafe building . It's run by the people who ran Acapulco's . They fixed it all up inside and it looks GREAT . The paint job, the new seats , the light fixtures all good . They genuinely seemed happy to be open . The waitress was very busy but attentive . The salsa was delicious . We both got steak fajitas . They were delicious ! The steak was very good and the veggies very fresh . The chef kept coming over and asking if the food was good . It was . We are looking forward to trying other items on the menu next time . This place has a really good atmosphere . This will be one of our regulars restaurants . We loved it . So glad they opened !
