Doña Paulina Review - Westchester - Miami - The Infatuation

"This Uruguayan restaurant on Bird Road is known for its chivito sandwich, which is good, but not a very practical sandwich. It comes loaded with egg, a slightly tough steak, and about five other ingredients that slide right out after the first bite. The dry milanesa sandwich would also be better if it came with a sauce. Still, it’s a fun and family-friendly restaurant, with a big wine selection, cold beer in chilled glasses, and karaoke on Friday night." - Mariana Trabanino

18 Iconic Hispanic Restaurants In Miami - Miami - The Infatuation

"With a large Hispanic community already established in Miami, Uruguayans made their way to the neighborhoods of North Beach and Coral Gables when they immigrated to the United States in the 1960s and 1970s. Just don’t confuse them for Argentinians—the culture is very different, especially when it comes to food. Doña Paulina is one of the most well known Uruguayan restaurants, and has lived in Westchester for decades. You’re coming to this lively neighborhood restaurant to watch soccer matches and eat traditional foods such as chivito, pizza a caballo, and chaja dessert." - Mandy Baca

We found this Uruguayan restaurant in the middle of Bird Road and ordered different beef cuts (entraña, picaña, rib eye,...), sausages and their chaja. The food was ok, we would come back to taste the milanesa and empanadas. The service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was 90s like.

Good place to eat a delicious barbecue, not so expensive and with good service. We tried pasta with well-prepared sauce that reminded us of mom's homemade pastas.

I ordered take out food from this Restaurant, the food was terrible, they forgot to include the desert and charged for it and when we called to let them know they left us on the phone for more than an hour and counting. Terrible experience.

1st & last time I order anything, straight to trash with the food and money. Either way, I had a beef soup for pick up. I got A COLD & OLD soup barely any substantial piece's of potato, yuca, or anything of that sort. Mostly 🤢ROTTEN corn, carrots, and merely potatoes with leaves and sticks and all, however, when I had called beforehand and asked what the soup consisted of which they said yuca and everything else (No where in my soup). The atmosphere was dark, dirty, the employees miserable and rude vibes. Seems like both the old lady and the girl behind the kitchen window were comfortable in not delivering properly both food and customer service. I work at a nearby hospital and will advise everyone not to go there for quality food. What a frustrating experience. WAISTE OF MONEY, GAS, AND MOSTLY MY LUNCH HOUR. NEVER AGAIN! I’ll stick to fresh beef soup from Fritanga Cocina de Doňa Ángela on 8387 sw 40 street, Miami Florida 33155. Sadly they had run out of their delicious soup by lunchtime. Plus always friendly service.

My family and I had a great Father’s Day at Doña Paulina. The food is great and the prices are very affordable. They have a great selection of wines for very reasonable prices.
