"For a packed and lively barbecue experience with ample parking and a koi pond at the door, there’s Dong Bang Grill, a vast restaurant with roomy tables and cushy seating. Whether it’s beef, chicken, shrimp, or pork, an order is grilled tableside, and served with a compelling selection of banchan. Don’t miss the galbi, whether you like it marinated or not." - Melissa McCart, Robert Sietsema

Yelp
Came here to eat for a Mother's Day lunch Honestly the best KBBQ place I've been to in while. The quality and portions of the meat were so good My favorite was when you can taste the bbq fire on the meat ughhhhh. My tip for a Korean restaurant is to taste the side dishes if the side dishes are good and fresh it means the food ur about to eat is gonna be delicious. Service was amazing they cook ur bbq perfectly and give extra side dishes when asked. Although it's a kbbq restaurant the sushi rolls were out of this world not only fresh and tasty. They didn't skimp out on fillings for my spicy tuna rolls. Overall great place and you get greeted at the entrance by koi fishy's XD IM BRINING MY GF HERE

Yelp
Had relatives from korea come visit our family and we came here to feast. The sushi was divine. Extremely fresh, had a bunch of different options and rolls. We also ordered udon noodles with a squid stir fry and it was delicious! Good spicy, sweet sauce with noodles that weren't overcooked! Last dish was a seafood stir fry. I didn't particularly love this dish because there was lobster and other seafood in this dish but i couldn't taste it because the sauce was a bit overpowering. I understand that the dish is designed to be this way, but it still felt like a waste. All in all, place was great. Service was great as well!

Yelp
One of my many favorite kbbq spots in bergen county! Marinated galbi & chadolbaegi are my usual top 2 meat selections. Amazing service & parking's so easy!

Yelp
Korean restaurant at Fort Lee, NJ we had dinner Saturday around 6pm, walked in without reservation. Our waitress was very polite and kind. She barbecued our marinated galbi and made some, beer with soju for us. The galbi was marinated just right and quality of meat was good. Our sushi pieces were very fresh but would have liked better if there were more variety. The bachan was fresh and tasted great. They also have a valet parking. The place was not too crowded and the interior was updated.

Yelp
This place has been here for ages, one of the pioneers in Korean BBQ. Can not find anything to complain about, whether it's traditional Korean meals, sushi or the BBQ. Consistency over 40 some years is their strength if i had to find one definite accolade. It's one place you just know everything will be great. Did you know the pork melts in your mouth? It does at Dongbang Grill!! Going back there this Friday, can't wait! Oh, the food is out of this world but the service tops it. Ashley, our server is AWESOME! ton of smiles and her service is on the dime every time!!

Yelp
Last minute decided to get Kbbq in NJ and saw 800+ reviews and thought give it try. Honestly The worst Kbbq place I've been to in NJ and price is not cheap. Food 1/10 Banchan 1/10 Service 2/10 People who came here have zero taste sorry will never come back! Everything is so tasteless !

Naoko S.

Yelp
I have been to this restaurant for decades and prices have been up. Not very cheap but meats are good. Service is always very good and prompt. A lot of free appetizers will be coming to the table. They are ok, not top quality. The beef (top in the menu) at $56 is very very very good. But probably 10 small slices. Cold spicy noodle was very good and tasty. But again it is not cheap. For 2 people, minimum food (one top beef and 1 tongue) plus few dishes with tip =$200.

David B.

Yelp
This is our local "go to" for Korean BBQ. As a person who's traveled to Korea many times and is married to a Korean woman (born and raised), Dong Bang is absolutely authentic. Great service, great meats, traditional atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Xinrui Z.

Yelp
The environment is very good, spacious and stylish interior. Service is also good, but the food is overpriced-----we ordered beef tongue , beef brisket, and pork belly and spent $140 for two people. The meat quality is good, just a little too pricy.

Phoebe L.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite KBBQ places in the area! The servers are quick and very attentive, and it was nice to have someone cook if for you rather than butchering the beautiful cuts of meat myself. The ambience is also nice, and I greatly appreciated the big vents that go right above the grill. The portions were on the smaller side, but they were all so delicious that it was worth it. As per most KBBQ restaurants, the assortment of banchan was lovely, and we were able to get refills on many of the dishes! The haemool pajun (seafood pancake) is pretty standard, and we didn't notice that there is an appetizer size and an entree size. We also got the squid bibimbap, which was a good side for the meat. The prime boneless galbi was perfectly marinated, and the char from the grill was great. We were worried that the short rib nuggets would be too chewy, but they were perfectly tender! We've come here many times, and we have yet to be disappointed :)

Yelp
Dong Bang is a sensory experience from the beginning to the end. Yes it's not Manhattan but the way it's built is still beautiful and you don't have to pay too close attention to the tacky wall decor. I have had a vegetarian rice bowl and considering I don't feel sick hours from the time I've had it, I can confirm they don't mix any animal ingredients into the vegetarian dishes. That's a thumbs up from me! Servers are highly attentive too. The building stands out in all of Fort Lee amidst the restaurant scenery, scenically and experientially. Definitely try it out when you're wanting Korean to dine in without going to the city.

Natalie H.

Yelp
There were so many side dishes- kimchi, fish cake, fried meat patties- and the steamed egg and stews. The galbi was marinated well, and the staff do all the grilling and serving for you. This is a good spot for a large party, but the valet parking isn't always available.

Anna K.

Yelp
Not as loud and hectic as other Korean bbq spots I've been to- so automatically a new favorite. The service was swift and kind. Food was cooked to perfection and anything we needed, the waitress was able to get that quickly. All in all, solid spot if you're craving Korean bbq. Clean and modern interior.

Casey L.

Yelp
Dong Bang Grill is a well known spot for Korean bbq in Fort Lee and we came here for dinner on a recommendation. The interior is well decorated and the inside is well maintained. However my family and I left this place disappointed. We ordered: Ribeye: 0/5 The ribeye itself was well marbled and looked great. It was however, frozen, when it was brought to the table. The server cooking it clearly didn't know how to cook it and she began hacking it at it before a proper sear could even start to form. Leaving the end result dry and tough. Marinated Kalbi: 3/5 This was actually not bad, it wasn't mind blowing but at almost $50 per serving, I was expecting more. Yukhwe: 2/5 I love yukhwe (Korean beef tartare) and this is one of the worst ones I've had. The beef was frozen, a lot of korean beef tartare is served slightly frozen but some pieces in the one here were super hard and cold. The onions in the tartare were also an unwelcome surprise and I've never seen it put into this dish before; it left the palate tasting bitter. Bibim Naengmyeon: 0/5 This was the worst dish I had there today. Everyone at the table agreed it was bad. It was weirdly overly spicy and the chili sauce had no flavor to it. The instant ones at hmart would have been magnitudes better. I couldn't finish it. Service: 2/5 Service is cold and unwelcoming. Nothing else to say. Also I do have to note our server started doing things AS she was asking if it was okay. What is the point of asking then? Overall, for the prices that they are charging it just isn't worth it. Manhattan prices for low quality just is not the vibe, especially in this economy.

Cin R.

Yelp
Great place for two. Food was really yummy, but pricey! You pay per plate of meat that they grill for you and each plate brought enough to barely feed one. So be ready to pay $30+ per plate cause like I said, it's good! The place is really cute and definitely takes you out of the NJ vibe. The service was very attentive until we stopped ordering meat. Definitely still recommend this place.

Bella D.

Yelp
My family and I love this place. It's always a safe bet to go back. The food is consistently great, very authentic, love the BBQ, jigsaes are fantastic, the staff is efficient (almost too efficient). Truly the best Korean around.

Puglo P.

Yelp
Dong Bang Grill, where expectations meet a bittersweet symphony of hits and misses. Your taste buds are poised for a bang, but sometimes, it feels more like a soft 'dong' on a mellow drum. Stepping into Dong Bang, they did a Bang up job on the decor, contemporary chic and traditional Korean charm. The service is anything but a 'dong' deal, hitting the right notes of attention and warmth, making you feel like the bell of the ball. The BBQ is a decent bang for your buck. It's not the loudest gong in the orchestra, but it manages to carry a decent tune. The meats are flavorful, grilling up a decent melody that will have your palate swaying. But then there's the sushi. Instead of a high note, it hits a bit of a 'dong' note. The rolls aren't 'rolling in flavor, more like a timid knock on the door. In the end, Dong Bang Grill is a mix of bangs and 'dong's. If you're 'grilling for a good time and can overlook the sushi its a decent place to hang you hat.

Yelp
Dong Bang Grill was always great.. Best food , best service , best ambiance .. Thanks for your excellent service ..

Yelp
Came here on a rainy night based on a friend's recommendations. We opted to do valet parking since it was raining and the parking spots looked harder than the road test. Service: Good, always accommodated us when we requested service. Food: Excellent BBQ and side dishes, with all the food we had, we kept running out of table space. Side dishes: we were brought side dishes after we ordered. The side dishes were very tasty, different from the typical ones I've had in Ktown nyc. My favorite was the egg dish. Seafood pancake: I think typical seafood pancake, moderate size but not crispier than some of the places Ive gone to. Our bbq: Portions are smaller but very filling. Also tasty too. Will return again in future

Yelp
The best Korean food in NJ, period. I live in NYC and I come here when I crave for the real Korean food. Not only the bbq is great, but their cold noodle naengmyun is the most authentic you can find in NY & NJ area. The little banchans dishes can usually tell the quality of a good Korean restaurant, and their dishes are always very clean and freshly made. Highly recommend if you want to experience the best authentic Korean food.

Yelp
Been going to this place for years not once have I ever been not happy with food or service .. the Fidel are no sweet there so attentive service is outstanding food best Korean around prices great portions are amazing love this place

Yelp
I really want to like this place for a variety of reasons. From an ambiance POV it just feels like one of those old school Korean BBQ restaurants from an era before all those AYCE joints started to conquer diners over with their perceived value proposition. Also since this was the first BBQ joint I ever tried in this area and it was during a special occasion, there is a nostalgia/sentimental element as well. Well ... the issue for me is despite all of these good intentions, the bottom line is it seems their price to quality ratio is still dicey. I've had a variety of food here across various formats. Pre-pandemic I've had BBQ here in the sit down setting in their normal dining room for a big dinner. Current pandemic I've dined outside in their converted parking space and tried their lunch specials etc. Bottom line - this place is not cheap. The portions are questionable for the price. You get an ok amount of BBQ meat for the price but the shrimps were considerably less. The actual flavor of the BBQ was okay. The marinade was fine but not mind blowing for the cost IMO. They do a nice job with the banchan/side dish spreads which reminds me of the old days when going to a Korean BBQ dinner was kind of an event. Lots of choices and the flavor is ok for the most part. In terms of lunch, the prices are more reasonable. I've tried different combo variations. The kalbi + stew combo is not a bad choice and the price is far less intimidating than a dinner experience. The flavor of the tofu stew was decent and the pre cooked kalbi wasn't bad. The service here is spotty. When they do pay attention to you, the folks are nice and responsive. However in my various visits, I've noticed a lack of consistency here. Sometimes there are very long stretches when you can get someone's attention. This issue was particularly acute when we were dining outside during the pandemic. Another issue was how smelly it got here when we dined and cooked inside. I don't expect table cooked Korean BBQ to be non-smoky but it was strange how overwhelming the smell was here. Not sure if it has to do with the ventilation system? Because of these inconsistencies it's hard to give this spot more than 3.5 starts on my end. I still do like the overall vibe of this place so hopefully things will improve over time.

Yelp
Came for dinner on a Saturday night, and beware it is crowded and full of tourists. Valet parking only. I'm giving this place a two star because I did not think the food was worth what we paid, and I got food poisoning after this dinner. Really wanted to give it a one star honestly. I've paid premium for good korean bbq before, and I have definitely paid the same amount for better food quality at other places in the area. If you are selling $32 for two person serving of pork belly, it better be some really good pork belly. But it's really not that much better than what I get at all you can eat honestly. Same thing with the beef. Beef brisket was $33 for a 2 person serving, and it wasn't any better quality than all you can eat beef brisket. Kalbi was ok The Gook su jeongol was ok, but be prepared to share that with at least 10 people, that thing is huge. The dwenjang jigae was probably the best tasting. but it was also what I vomited afterwards. And for the next few days, I was out of commission. They don't have enough staff, and the servers are stretched so thin, i felt bad, but it makes the service bad when someone is stretched so thin. They need a lot of reminders to get food, and also forgot about allergies too. So be careful if you have allergies. Always double check they actually didn't put whatever you're allergic to when they bring you the food because they will forget... They don't speak a lot of English, so go in with someone who's decently good at korean. Surprising because there are A LOT of tourists here. Overall, I won't be coming back here again. Very disappointed. There are way better places to go for KBBQ in the fort lee, palisades park area if you're looking for quality meat over quantity.

Angela C.

Yelp
Our 1st time eating there tonight. Great and vast selection of Korean dishes and Japanese entrees (tonkatsu, teriyaki, and sushi). We went with 2 orders of DB Galbi bbq (you need to order a minimum of 2 meats for bbq), seafood pancake (tasty and crispy!), fried beef dumplings, broiled mackerel, and there were plenty of yummy side dishes/banchan. Everything was delicious and the meat is cooked at table side for you. We love the steamed egg that comes with each bbq order. Service was very fast and there was no wait on a busy Friday night. A great place to bring the family.

Vanessa N.

Yelp
Overpriced food. This once was a Hidden gem, but after Covid and returning back to this place, it's certainly not the same. The site dishes or so, so add the service was just average. If you're looking just for an OK place to eat, you can go here, but it certainly has lost its magical touch. I will not return back.

Dani P.

Yelp
What makes this place special is really the banchan (free side dishes). Honestly, I was so impressed by the friendly service and side dishes. Usually, I'm not a big fan of banchan, but there was literally fried meat and tofu and boiled egg soup!! The NY roll was very good for the price. I wasn't expecting much, but it had a lot of fresh fish and crab in top. I would ask for the mayo on the side instead of on top because there was a bit too much. The donkatsu is the best fried pork I've ever had. Really well done although the fries are just meh. However, this place only gets 4 stars because the soup was just not it. It was not spicy enough, lacked flavor, and was overall just not that good. For $60, I would definitely skip this. Come here if you want a wide variety of Korean food and sushi to choose from. There is so much to choose from, great side dishes, and great service... just dont get the soup HAHA.

Leonard F.

Yelp
The galbi was excellent, as were the side dishes and the seafood pancake. On top of that, this restaurant is very spacious and relaxing inside and they have valet parking. So all in all it makes for a really pleasant dining experience.

Sunny C.

Yelp
We came on a Friday night and this place was PACKED. It was hard to find parking so we parked in front of a closed bank about a block away. The four of us got the galbi (4 people portion) and we didn't leave stuffed. The grill didn't keep the meat hot so we ate it "cool" which wasn't too great. The waitress apologized and said she would keep it warm the next round but it was still the same... overall, great quality of meat and side dishes. I would go back if craving Korean bbq in the area.

Lisa C.

Yelp
Supporting locally owned businesses is a great mission for all to consider during the pandemic. Supporting Asian American business owners and stopping infectious hate is my hearts request. Dong Bang was highly recommended by a trustworthy local foodie. Making a reservation is highly recommended especially if you have a group of 4 or more. The bbq tables were complete with a quiet brass exhaustion, which worked very well, you didn't leave smelling like food. Service was outstanding, menu was large and had a variety of meats, fish and veggies for BBQ. Also sushi and other Korean dishes are available and a full service bar. For an early Sunday afternoon, large parties and families started to fill up the dinning room fast. I highly recommend Dong Bang for a upscale dinning experience. Also easy to find parking on the streets as well as parking lot available below restaurant. Fort Lee is my ideal NJ city for food, diversity and palatial views. It is the gateway to suburban NYS and NJ and certainly were I left my heart.

Yelp
My family from South Jersey (Ocean county) drove 2.5 hours to try a decent and authentic Korean BBQ place. I was debating between this place and one of my favorites, Hanam in Palisades Park. I chose this place just to try something different. Boy, was I wrong. The resturant was clean, had good ambiance and meat was decent quality. That's about all that was decent.... We were a party of 6 and sat at a table of 8 which was great especially that the place was not busy at all. Including us, there was about 2-4 other parties. While we were ordering our food, we were told we had to move to the table next to the one we were already sitting at. The table we moved to was for 6 people but was so tight with no room, especially considering the fact we ordered many sides, apps and drinks. Also consider, the waitress constantly reaching over to cook the meat. There was no reason for us to have been moved from the more spacious table when the place was not busy. About 20-30 minutes later another party came in who were Korean and was sat comfortably at the other table. Seemed like they knew the owner and because they were Korean, got special treatment. I appreciate and respect different cultures and love the Korean people and their food but having staff who don't speak English especially at a resturant located in the US of A with foods which we have many questions about is not a great way to serve customers. Our waitress did not speak one word of English. It took us about 20 minutes to get the order right and to understand what each other were saying. Nobody came to help or translate nor did she ask anyone to help. She cooked our food so quick, kept hovering over us while we were eating and didn't give us 5-10 minutes to swallow the first portion of meats we ordered. Other Koreans places, I'm allowed to cook my own food and have the steak cooked the way I like it. I literally told the waitress, I like my meat "medium well or well done," she said "ok" (meat looked raw) and placed the bloody meat in my plate. To make matters worse, the bus boy came over to us started pouring water in our glasses and dropped water all over my aunt and I, scattered away and didn't come back to clean it. I was shocked that we didn't get an apology nor anyone to clean it up. Another bus boy, kept coming over reaching over to change our grill and smelt like B.O. We lost our appetite. It was absolutely disgusting. My aunt asked our waitress for water, the waitress came over with a drink that looked like dog urine. My aunt told her the water was yellow, the waitress mumbled something in Korean under her breath and left our table. Although, our experience was horrible we still gave the waitress her 20% tip that she did not deserve. The whole experience felt rushed. Very rushed! I will not be giving these people my buisness ever again. If you want good service, try Hanam in Palisades Park. Much better!

Yelp
If you are a lover of Korean food and Korean BBQ, Dong Bang Grill in Fort Lee is a definite place to visit. On a recent trip for lunch, my food adventure Companion and I ordered the pork belly and an order of Kalbi, the beef short ribs. I also ordered the cold buckwheat noodles with spicy sauce. First, their banchan or side dishes are wonderful. A variety of kimchi, salads, sauces and Korean treats come to the table with a basket of lettuce. The meat quality is wonderful. The pork belly is just perfect with a dip of sesame oil and salt. The beef was flavorful and cooked great.the cold noodles were so good: sweet, spicy and cool with a depth of flavor and such a great texture. One of the best parts of the experience is the wonderful waitstaff. They serve you, help you cook your selections and make sure you leave well fed and happy. My fellow food adventurer loves the cooked egg custard that is served during the meal. We asked for it and we were informed it's only available for dinner. Within 10 minutes , our waitress produced a fresh steaming pot of Bubbling egg. She smiled and said, " we made this special for you". It's not a fancy place, but the food and service are exceptional. So if you're looking for a place to get your Korean Barbecue fix, visit Dong Bang in Fort Lee.

Yelp
Recently reviewed for in person dining but this is for pick up experience. The hostess is so polite and efficient. I had a pick up scheduled for 6pm and it was ready. Food was very good even though I live about 20 Min away. Ordered hwedupbab ... it was good but wish they gave a little More premium sushi it was mainly filled with salmon. Byung uh JoRim fish was very meaty and good flavor. Al Jigae was also good. Highly recommend good service and food

Danting C.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to try out Dong Bang Grill after 6 months of no dining-out due to the pandemic. The dining environment was 5-star. The restaurant turned part of their parking lot into an outdoor dining area. The al fresco was really nice for what you could get during this crazy time as the parking lot area was more secluded. Tables were spread out with generous social distancing and all the staff were wearing masks and gloves. This place was already pricey but the price got even higher after the pandemic. Also, I think they are providing fewer appetizers than before. I liked the Galbi and surprisingly sushi at this place was quite delicious. We had the rainbow roll and the fish tasted fresh. However, the Jap chae, a common Korean home-cooked dish with glass noodles, beef, and assorted vegetables, was terrible at this place and it cost $26. We may come back again for korean-style sushi and BBQ.

Joshua R.

Yelp
This is first rate Korean BBQ. Dong Bang Grill can stand with any heavy weight from Fort Lee to Flushing. We had Galbi and the Prime Strip, both of which were awesome. Word to the wise--this place favors quality over quantity, so be prepared to order a little more than you might at an ordinary grill if you've got a big appetite.

Katie S.

Yelp
We love this place, and dine here often since 2016. Their meat and banchan are good. We love their stews and galbitang as well. Can't go wrong with Don't Bang Grill.

Auggie L.

Yelp
Went for Weekday Lunch Special Food - 5/5. Their banchan selection is fantastic. I love the presentation of the kimchi-jjigae coming in a large stone bowl. It is small in terms of soup but comes with large chunks of juicy meat. The jeons are great too with a crispy egg batter and spicy soy sauce drizzle. Galbi was tender with good char on them and covered in a sweet marinade. Naengmyeon broth was beefy and the noodles had great bite to them. Awesome food. Service - 4/5. The service was quick and courteous. The banchans were refilled before I even realized. Value - 5/5. The prices are high but typical of the galbi and naengmyeon lunch combo in the area hitting $20. There is lots of value here though as the food is delicious and they don't skimp out on providing a good selection of banchan. A great spot to try during lunch. Parking - Private Lot (Valet)

Matt M.

Yelp
Kind of expensive for Korean, but good all in all. To quote a fellow Yelper, "The service here is spotty.  When they do pay attention to you, the folks are nice and responsive.  However in my various visits, I've noticed a lack of consistency here.  Sometimes there are very long stretches when you can get someone's attention.  This issue was particularly acute when we were dining outside during the pandemic." Good banchan and nice tea. Four stars with ample room for five.

Jenny K. L.

Yelp
Continues to be my go to Korean spot, and the free valet parking definitely helps. They recently added chicken bulgogi which were thin slices of chicken marinated in bulgogi sauce with scallion and enoki mushrooms, which was a great non beef pork option. I still enjoy the nengmyun here because it's simple & straightforward and in my opinion they use the right kind of chewy buckwheat noodles.

Kristina P.

Yelp
Best Korean food in fort lee and the best staff! The meat is the best and good sushi. Fast and good!

Art J.

Yelp
I have eaten Korean BBQ many times in many places especially in Pal Park, Edison with Korean locals so I eat well and am always treated with good service, so I know what I am talking about. Have eaten here before and now I came with two Korean friends on Saturday afternoon and it was somewhat busy and very noisy in the dining room to a point that you cant hear the people you are sitting with at the table. The dinning room was clean and the food looks and tastes fresh. The staff's English level is limited. My friends ordered the normal Korean BBQ - Kalbi. When you order Korean BBQ - Kalbi you get about a dozen side dishes brought to your table which is included with your order, here the side dishes were just simple nothing to write home about. At first our wait staff needed to be reminded a few times to bring more side dishes as we were finishing them, she also left our table at one point of our meal and our meat got burned a bit, the wait staff also made my experience here feel rather impersonal. However, the food was good and I would come back again but I hope they improve on the things I mentioned above.

Arry J.

Yelp
Bibimbap = "Shredded beef and fresh veggies and over rice" as it says on the menu. Cannot go wrong with food like bibimbap, but as my husband was mixing the ingredients, no beef was to be found. Ordered Al Bop. Rice was old, hard, and cold as if it has been sitting in the bowl overnight maybe more. Doesn't really matter because it's supposed to be mixed with all the other fish eggs. BUT, the problem is that it was not mixing because it was hard and old. Thankfully, a kind waiter came and asked if we wanted to heat up the rice a little and served it to us on a hot stone pot instead. Grateful gesture, thank you so much for that. However, the food itself was horrible. Taste was just vinegar and rice. Nothing mixed and nothing went well with each other. Had Al bop here every time we came here, but this was not Al bop. We were informed that the chef did change, but nope.. and not to mention same price. Spicy crabmeat roll..... just tasted like plain mayo, not spicy, not crabmeat, just mayo and rice. Thankful for the kind waiter and waitress, but food quality is just bad. Will not be coming back.

Janice B.

Yelp
This place was very scrumptious! I will most definitely come again. Service was outstanding and the food was delish!

John S.

Yelp
I always order Gabi meat and it taste very good. Only downside you have to order two order in order for them to make it in front of you. What food is very delicious

Sun M.

Yelp
The bbq here was definitely among our top rated Korean bbq. I came here twice and each time the quality of meat was quite impressive. Fresh, tender with good taste. The small appetizers were full of diversity. The bibimbap was also severed fast with great vegetables. It is slightly pricey compared with nearby Korean restaurant, but for what the food is, the price is definitely reasonable, and much more worthy than Ktown. Worth the trip to fort lee!

Fausto G.

Yelp
This place is great if you're looking for some Korean style food!. My wife loved this place when she was pregnant. The service and staff is great. They have a valet parking as well. Food is great we love the prime NY stake and the onion salad is also great.

Sy Y.

Yelp
Overall 3.5 stars goes to Dong Bang Grill. I am a strong believer in consistency when it comes to few things with one of them being quality of food served in restaurants. This used to be my go to restaurant for Whe Dup Bop (Sashimi salad over rice) and Korean bbq but, in the recent months, quality of the food and portions have been very inconsistent. Pros, you can find variety of items in the menu. From stews, soups and stir fries to BBQ and sushi, they offer a range of items. Opens late until midnight and offers valet parking. Con, portion and quality of food has been inconsistent. Since this is a bbq restaurant, no matter where you sit, if there is a table grilling, your clothes will smell like Korean bbq. Ventilation does not seem to be pretty weak. BBQ meat is one of the best selling items and it is fairly good whereas price is slightly higher than other few bbq places I can think of in the area.

Yelp
Their korean bbq is very good. I also love the side dishes that come with it. There is this meat thing wrapped with egg that is amazing! This is like the only bbq spot I know in fort lee (not AYCE) but I will definitely be coming back. This is like our family's go to spot for a nicer dinner. I'm changing the review from 4 stars to 3: I had a recent experience. At the end of my meal, a waitress was passing by with the metal thing for meat and she was carelessly holding it and oil flung onto my shoes. She didn't even apologize. My mom had to ask for chlorox so I could get it out but I was not happy. It was my brand new, white shoes. Didn't even get an apology but whatever. Maybe just be a little more careful next time and hold the metal thing on a tray? After all, this is a fancier/ expensive place.

Yelp
Honestly pretty average for the price tag. We were rushed by the wait staff, they want you to know what you want, order, eat, and get out. For the price were trying to pace ourselves a little. The meat was pretty fatty and on the higher end price tag for this area. The sides were the standard sides. For the price there is MUCH better Korean bbq restaurants in town where you can eat quietly without feeling so rushed. The whole meal lasted about 50 minutes. No one in our party was blown away.

Yelp
So delicious despite my messy technique. Would be better with friends and family. DB Galbi for the win!!!
