I was a little hesitant to try this place when I read a few negative reviews after a change in ownership. My wife and I decided to have lunch recently and we were very happy with the food and the service. For lunch, we ordered the Combo #4 (which is half jajiangmyeon and half tangsuyuk) and the samsun ganjajiang (similar to jajiangmyeon but freshly made to order with sautéed seafood and lots of onions). Everything was delicious. The jajiangmyeon was good with ample amount of gravy and noodles. The tangsuyuk was fried to a perfect crisp and was served with a dipping sauce on the side. The ganjajiang was the standout. The noodles were nicely chewy, sauce was less heavy, and had plenty of seafood pieces. The self-serve condiment bar has the yellow radish, sliced raw onions, water, and the utensils. For those of you who were hesitant due to a change in ownership should give them a try. We thought the food was delicious and the prices/portions were excellent.

Dong Chun Hong is a clean and honest self-service restaurant where you don’t feel pressured to tip. I really don’t understand the low ratings—once you try it, you’ll see how good it is. My favorites are the Jajangmyeon & Jjamppong combo and the Beef Brisket Jjamppong. Great food, fair prices, and straightforward service. I’ll definitely keep coming back.

Delicious, Self-Service, Better than Paik's Noodle My mom and I have been coming here occasionally for the past few months, and we were satisfied every time. The food taste and portion size is good. The jjampong has more seafood than Paik's Noodle around the corner. The tangsuyuk is crispy. They have a special going on, which makes it an even better value. It is located next to Wicked Snow. Self-service so tipping is optional.

This is another value based Korean restaurant with no tipping/self service. I had the jjamjjamyun combo which was decent for the price point. There are other combos to try if you’re in the mood to mix things up. Honesty, these combos are basically mini course meal for those looking for budget friendly chinese-korean experience. Definitely coming back to try more dishes.

My 2-year-old usually doesn't like meat, but he eats the Tang Su Yok (crispy pork) here really well. It's tender on the inside and crispy on the outside — so tasty!

Google
I ordered Jajangmyeon, Pepper Steak, Sweet and Sour Pork, and Jjamppong, and everything was delicious! The Jajangmyeon had a rich, savory sauce with tender meat, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. The Pepper Steak was flavorful with a nice balance of spices, and the Sweet and Sour Pork was crispy and perfectly coated with the right amount of sauce. The Jjamppong was packed with seafood and had just the right level of spiciness. The service was great, and the portions were generous. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic Chinese food!

Google
I stopped in on my lunch break because I thought the restaurant looked interesting and I ordered the Jjamppong. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were very generous and there was no shortage of seafood in my soup! The people there were also very kind and inviting! one of the ladies there mentioned my red velvet shirt and made me feel welcome and i appreciate that. I’ll definitely be back :)

Google
Talk about a HIDDEN gem!! This place was recommended to me by a good friend who is Korean so I really valued his opinion on good Korean flavors. However, I was always partial to Paik’s because I had it first there but as luck would have it, they were closing when we arrived (7:30pm) so we decided to walk over to Dong Chun Hong to try their jajangmyeon and sweet & sour pork combo. OH. MY. GOODNESS. It was absolutely incredible!!! Literally every single piece of pork was perfectly crispy, light, & delicious! LITERALLY EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. The noodles of the jajangmyeon were cooked to Al dente and the #3 combo was the perfect portion for a very hungry person. Paired with the yellow radish and sprinkle on some of the spice they provide at each table and you have yourself the best meal ever!!! 100000/10 will come again!!!! It’s kind of hidden (to me) near/under singbox in Carrollton and it’s a must-try if you enjoy black bean noodles! SO yummy!!

Yelp
This looks like an old school place. I have no idea how long this restaurant has been around but judging from some of the comments, there's recently been some changes. I can say that I do love me some self-serve style restaurants. I kinda wish more restaurants were like this. It's just easier to get in an out without worrying about waiting around to pay the bill. I ordered half black bean noodles and half seafood noodles for $14. Overall, it's a great deal and a great way to take care of some cravings. I will indeed have to get their tangsooyuk next time, but their jjajjangmyun was pretty legit. Maybe not AS good as Mr. Paik nearby, but really good. Plus, sometimes I'm not in the mood to eat an entire of tangsooyuk by myself so the combo plates are perfect for me.

Yelp
First, I like the fact that the service changed to self service. Not only it is convenient but no requirement for tip is a plus. I haven't tried variety of food but their chadol jjamppong is super delicious!! It's one of their latest menu but I honestly get this at least once every 2 week or so. There are private rooms that can be used by anyone as long as its not already occupied so that's also nice.

Yelp
One of my go-to spots for jjampong and jjajangmyun in DFW. For the indecisive, there's a 'ban ban' option where you can choose two between jjampong, jjajanmyun, or tangsuyuk! Their portions are generous and dishes full of flavor. It's a self-serve establishment where you order at the counter, grab your own utensils, and rack up the dirty dishes at the end. The signage is in Korean so it could be hard to miss but it's to the right of Maht Gaek and left of Wicked Snow. They close on Wednesdays!

Yelp
THE GO TO SPOT FOR JJAJANGMYUN IN DALLAS As someone who's lived in Dallas, Austin, and Lubbock and visited Houston occasionally, jjajangmyun is one of the hardest Korean dishes to look for in all of Texas. Thankfully this place exists in Carrollton to satisfy those black bean noodle cravings. It's sept serve here and food comes out real quick.

Yelp
BEST tangsuyuk in town!! The fried meat stays crispy and their sauce tastes as good as home made! Their fried mandu and ganpoongki is also delicious. The jajangmyun is meh and don't get the mapo tofu!

Yelp
My go-to jjajangmyeon spot. The portion sizes are generous and it is consistently delicious each time. My most recent visit was with new COVID regulations, during which the dining experience has become entirely self-serve. You have to order up at the window first before you sit down, and all sides are at the self serve station where you will also find a water station and utensils etc. At the end of your meal, you have to return your trays to their designated tray shelves. It is efficient and pretty straight forward. They have signs around the restaurant to help you too. Dong Chun Hong has met all of my jjajangmyeon craving needs and I am confident they will meet yours too!

Yelp
craved black bean and went to this place self service for sides and water it was the perfect cute place; especially after watching so many kdramas and cooking at home all the time (when i say cute i don't mean pink anime asethics but like a typical restaraunt that didn't over for their decor and let the food speak) the crispy pork was def crunchy and black bean had perfect amount of flavor without being overly salty or sweet

Yelp
Nothing soothes the soul like a good jajangmyeun and crispy tangsuyuk and I definitely leave satisfied after my visits to Dong Chun Hong. Their jjamppong and white jjamppong (for those that can't eat spicy) are wonderfully hearty and flavorful as well. After trying many places around town, this remains my go-to spot.

Yelp
This is tucked away in one of the side buildings of H Mart. It has Chinese lettering on the sign so for the longest time, I didn't even know what it was called. They have good Chinese fusion Korean food; Jja Jang Myun, Jjamppong, kanpoonggi, tangsooyook are all pretty decent. Service, IS ALWAYS HORRIBLE. I go in expecting bad service and I'm still shocked at how bad my service is. Not sure if all the employees are jaded, don't care, or what, but a smile would go a long way.

Yelp
I am only reviewing this for the food. We tried jjajjangmyun, tang-soo-yuk, and jjam-ppong. Food is solid. It's good & they don't shy away from portions. This is a self-serve type of restaurant... you order, find yourself a seat (after you order), and get your own water and condiments. So if you can't do that or have patience to do that... don't go. The food was really good. If you care about service more than your food, don't go. If you don't care as much about service... because it IS self-service.. then go, try their jjajjangmyun and tang-soo-yuk. Jjam-ppong was solid with decent amount of seafood & veggies...

Yelp
I been to this place twice and it has gone down the hill. Yesterday we went and it was pretty empty which I was happy about because the pandemic, then it dawned on us that it was empty for a reason. We ordered jajangmyeon and tangsuyuk which always goes together. First of all, the price has realllly shot up. The szechuan jajangmyeon was $16 for a medium and $20 for tangsuyuk medium. The word medium was so ambiguous that we didn't really know how much food we were getting, but what we ended up getting look like a lot of food but it really wasn't. There were barely any promised seafood in the jajangmyeon, the beef tasted weird and I don't know what was "Szechuan" about it. It tasted nothing Chinese. The tangsuyuk was suppose to be pork but there were minuscule amount of it and was completely covered with batter, like 80% batter. I love crunchiness but I don't think I got the meat I paid for. There was a tip line on the receipt so naturally we tipped, but little did we know there was zero service. We had to get our own utensils, sauce, napkins, water, and side dishes. When the food was ready, they put it on a rolling cart, except they never rolled it over to us. Instead, they transferred our food to a small tray for us to pick up, too small to even fit all the plates on. When I picked it up, half of the tangsuyuk plate was just hanging off of the tray. Thankfully, my wife came and grabbed it before anything bad could happen. We have NO IDEA why we tipped. At the end of the meal, we returned all everything to a rack ourselves, as instructed. The atmosphere was just damp; no music, no byes, no service..

Yelp
I have been here so many times since it has opened and my family caters from here all the time because it is just a nostalgic feeling of eating jajangmyun. I think compared to the other places around the area, this place does a better job for jajangmyun. The Jjamppong is a little bland or something but it isn't too good but I am not a big jjamppong person so it just might be my preference and others might really like it. If you want to try both, they do have a half half option so you can get the best of two worlds haha. I have tried the fried pork with the sweet sauce tangsuyuk and the sweet spicy chili fried shrimp and both were pretty good! They also have different sizes in bowls and so depending on how hungry you are, you can get a bigger size. Usually the small is enough for me but a medium is a grest size to share or if you are really hungry!

Yelp
Affordable spot for black bean noodles and sweet & sour pork. For about 12 bucks, you can get a serving for one (or two if you have a smaller appetite) of black bean noodles and sweet & sour pork. It is pretty tasty as well, though the breading isn't as crispy and chewy as it is at Paik's. The sweet and sour sour sauce is more on the sweet side as well. They also have other combos of carbs and protein that you can order for about the same price as well.

Yelp
I've loved jjajangmyun ever since I was a little kid so I was excited when my girlfriend suggested that I try this place out. We can here on a Monday night and there were only a couple tables occupied aside from us. The service is pretty fast and the prices are reasonable as well. If you're with someone else then it's cheaper to get a bowl of jjajangmyun and a bowl of jaambong and share rather than get the split bowl. Usually I prefer jjambong more than jjajangmyun but the jjajangmyun here is really good. It's delicious and they give a good amount of sauce. The jjambong was decent too, so if I were to come alone I'd probably get the split bowl so I can get both. The jjajangmyun flavor is pretty heavy so it's nice to be able to switch between both flavors so you don't get sick of either.

Yelp
This is a Korean/Chinese cruise. Walk to counter place an order. When your is ready you have to pick it up at the counter. The food is very normal. The price is reasonable. Quick food and go type of operation.

Yelp
Oh I'm so glad the store still opens and keeps the same "aji"! I had my favorite combination today and had a food coma! :) They changed the service style due to COVID I think. Now even in restaurant you have to go to counter order and pick up food by yourself, which is safer for both. They cook the order after you order so every thing is fresh especially noodle and tasty!!

Yelp
This Korean/Chinese fusion restaurant is fairly simple with a pretty straightforward menu. There's a few combinations that include the various items like: Tang Soo Yook, Mapo Tofu, etc. The restaurant itself is just okay in my opinion. They do give very good portions for their price. So it's a good cost to quantity of food. I didn't expect much in quality and was pleasantly surprised at how I enjoyed the food. Again, food isn't mind blowing, but likely more a comfort food bias akin to those that may be familiar with the dishes they serve here. JJa Jang Myun: Black Bean Noodles that is a quintessential comfort food adopted by Koreans. The sauce itself has a good consistently and decent flavor, but seemed a little under seasoned. Bits of vegetables and proteins could be found in the sauce and the noodles were chewy, yet had a bit of a bounce. All in all, pretty good. A small order was enough to feed two children and still had plenty leftover to feed an adult. JJampong: Seafood Noodle Soup, had a good mitigated spicy seafood flavor in the broth. Vegetables were good and noodles on point. Tang Soo Yook: It's a sweet and sour pork dish with some onions and bell peppers. It's literally coated in a sweet sauce that can be bit much for some. I personally enjoyed it, but felt again, it was a bit under seasoned. Food was still good. Mapo Tofu: Tofu was good, a bit sweeter than what I'm used to and the way most other places generally make it. It was an interesting take on this dish and was still good, but not what I expected. All in all, this place is not bad for the food, nor is it great. They give very generous portions for their prices, which fills bellies and gets you out the door without that hunger that has you reaching for another Snickers bar. Most of the food seemed to be under seasoned or too sweet, in my opinion. Service wasn't the friendliest, it was just okay. A lot of lackluster points for this place, but food was decent with a hefty quantity to price ratio. Mind blowing food and service aren't to be expected here.

Yelp
It's not often that I crave Koreanized Chinese food, but the craving hit me strong on Black Friday. My parents are now pretty settled into the DFW area and familiar w/ all of the various Korean restaurants in Carrollton, and claimed that Dong Chung Hong was the best option. Between my parents and I, we ordered the jjampong (seafood noodle soup), spicy jja jang myun (spicy black bean noodles), tang soo yook (sweet & sour pork) & the deep fried dumplings. It was a TON of food, and I was happy with each of the dishes. The deep fried dumplings are enormous and you can tell that they're made in-house! It paired very well with the spicy black bean noodles that surprisingly came with a ton of seafood (we got the platter option). The sweet & sour pork was perfectly crispy & the spicy noodle soup was well-seasoned. The restaurant is pretty small and tables are in close quarters, but it's cozy and they provide kimchi & pickled radish with your meal.

Yelp
It was a bit difficult finding this place if you can't read the Asian signs, but the restaurant is located right under the big SingBox sign. I was looking forward to trying their Chinese-Korean comfort food, and this place did not disappoint! I ordered their #4 combo which came with a generous amount of sweet and sour pork and black bean noodles, some comfort food staples. I also decided to add an order of their fried dumplings as an extra snack. Within a few minutes, the fried dumplings arrived and I was shocked at how large these were! So much for eating them as a "snack"! Each dumpling was super hot and crispy straight out of the fryer, and each one was packed full of ground meat, noodles, herbs, and veggies. I quickly became addicted to their perfectly crispy edges and the filling was flavorful enough to where I didn't feel the need for any additional dipping sauces. I could have easily gotten full from all of these dumplings alone, but I mustered up some self control and pushed them aside in anticipation of the main course. The serving of noodles and pork followed soon after, and everything looked delicious. After giving them a quick toss, I couldn't wait to sample those noodles. They were cooked perfectly, giving each bite a soft and slightly chewy texture. The sauce was thick enough to fully coat the noodles and had a subtle sweet and salty flavor with a hint of earthiness from the beans. Moving over to the pork on the other side of the bowl, I picked up a piece and made sure it had an even coating of sweet and sour sauce. Freshly fried, the pork pieces were light and crispy on the outside, tender at the center, and slightly chewy in-between thanks to the unique corn starch batter. I loved everything about this meal and everything I ordered exceeded my expectations. This restaurant has become one of my favorite spots in the area and I look forward to even more noodles and dumplings in the future!

Yelp
This restaurant may be hard to find for those coming for the first time. Their sign is not in English, but it's located between a billiard sign and wicked snow. This place is self serve so make sure to get your own water and utensils. The food here is always so good and offers different sized portions for those eating alone or sharing. I recommend the jjajangmyun and jjamppong. Make sure to return all your plates to the plate return area at the front and throw away your trash.

Yelp
3 or 4 stars, I don't know. The food is great, but the service is S L O W. Come here if you aren't hangry or if you aren't in a rush. My son loves jajangmyeon (black bean noodles), so he wanted to try every restaurant that offers it. Like the reviews say, the service needs help, but the Jajangmyeon, jjampong (spicy seafood soup), and tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) are the best around. My preferred place to go for those 3, but the s l o w service is off putting. The low ratings are because of the service. Don't let it discourage you from eating here. The food is good and the owners are nice people. Just don't expect the food to be out in less than 15 minutes.

Kathy S.

Yelp
Our kids love their jjajangmyun & tangsooyook! Jjambbong is also good! Yoosanseul is another one that I enjoy for no noodle kind of days!

Yelp
When it comes to takeout, I usually expect smaller portions compared to dine-in. However, this was not the case for this restaurant. The portion was huge for the price and most definitely worth it. I ordered the Jajang Myun. They give you plenty of sauce for the amount of noodles they give you although the noodles do tend to stick together if you are getting take-out. The sauce wasn't overly salty like most places either. However, one small thing was some pieces of pork were a bit tough, but other than that, they make great Jajang Myun.

Yelp
This is a Korean-inspired Chinese restaurant so the menu is going to look different than what you typically see at Chinese restaurants. Although they do have the basic orange chicken and such, they have a very wide variety of noodle soup dishes and entrees. I have been here many times and many of their food are very good and flavorful! Out of their food that I've tried, I didn't like their jjampong (spicy seafood noodle soup), which is one of the most popular food to order at places like this. They use their homemade noodles in their noodle soups but I find the noodles to be too thick and chewy that prevents the spicy broth of the jjampong to seep in to the noodle, making it not as flavorful. Their noodles taste fine in their dishes like jajangmyeon though, because that's a saucy noodle dish instead of soup. Other than that, other dishes that I've tried there are so good!! I especially recommend their sweet and sour pork and seafood dishes like palboche. Their food are packed in flavor and the portions are big!! This is probably the best Korean style Chinese food you can get in DFW.

Yelp
I used to have a favorite spot where I got my black bean noodle fix. However, after relocating to Carrollton/Plano, I was in search of my new favorite black bean noodle restaurant. I definitely like the food here. I'll give the food a 4/5 stars, but this review is receiving only two stars because the customer service is absolutely terrible. I would even go as far aS giving this place a 1 star, but refrain from doing so because there is at least one employee who values customer service. There is a male server (most likely the owner?) who wears glasses. His lack of customer service really adds a bad rep to this establishment. I came here with my family, a party of 8. We ordered the food and eagerly waited. When this male server brought out the food, he refused to bring the hot bowls to the person who ordered it. Rather, he handed the bowls and made us pass it back. Sure, this doesn't sound too bad, but he would pass the hot, steaming spicy seafood noodle above our heads and ask for it to be passed back. I would presume that this is a safety hazard. We had children sitting and he still continued to pass the food above everyone's head. Throughout the whole time, the server had a rude attitude. This isn't the first time he's been unfriendly. I've also ordered take-out from here, and he was very rude then. I asked for my itemized receipt and he was sighing and rolling his eyes. It's really not much of an inconvenience to ask for the itemized receipt. Despite my horrible experiences with the male server with glasses (possibly owner?), I've had a good encounter with another male worker who predominantly works in the back kitchen. He's helped me bring the take-out orders to my car and always respecting customer service. In short- Food: above average Customer service: despicable (aside from that one kind male worker)

Yelp
I am waiting for that day when they will begin delivering korean-chinese food like in Korea...btw, it's 3.5 stars. FOOD// I tried black bean paste noodle, sweet and sour fried pork, spicy noodle soup, and etc. I personally find this location's black bean paste noodles and spicy soup noodles here the best of all in DFW area. There are some iffy times, but majority of experiences has been good here. Why? I like the texture of the noodles here.. even though it is not hand-pulled, but it is not soggy, but in perfect texture for what I know. However, for sweet and sour fried pork dish, it has a strong soy sauce kick. Personally, I can make myself the sweet and sour fried pork better than any Korean-Chinese restaurants in the States (this is my personal taste; so, don't take it too seriously). ATMOSPHERE// It's cozy and gives very Korea-like vibe a little bit. SERVICE// My mom knows the owner; so, whenever I go with my parents, the service is great! However, if I don't, it's whatever. I personally go here for the food because that's what matters nowadays along with its price. SURROUNDINGS// I mean it's that huge plaza with Hmart.

Yelp
This place is self serve so keep that in mind. They will not help you look for seating. They take your order at the front and call your number when ready to pick up. You take your own tray and clean up after yourself. So don't come here when it's busy as the place doesn't have much seating to begin with. They're known for their black bean noodles and offer several varieties on them. I always get the half and half which is the spicy seafood noodle and black bean noodle. Perfect combo of filling and comfort.

Yelp
I've been coming here with my bf every now and then. Brought some friends and we all love it. It's a Chinese and Korean fusion restaurant. It's pretty authentic and family owned. We normally get the mix of two; spicy seafood noodle soup and jajangmien or sweet and sour pork and jajangmien. The jajangmien is pretty good and we crave it sometimes. I personally love the spiciness of the seafood noodles soup and often come here for it. Other places don't make it the same. You have to try it for yourself. Till then, let's eat!

Yelp
I am super picky about my Chinese inspired Korean food. I won't eat regular dumplings and Jjajangmyun at most of these places, not even in Korea because it is way too greasy and "porky" for my liking (when it is too porky, it is usually from not so great quality pork, cut wise and freshness wise). I eat pretty much anything and down to try anything once for the most part, but I like my food a certain way and know how I like it. This is one of the few places that I can eat the dumplings and jjajangmyun time and time again. I like how the ingredients in the jjajangmyun have texture and decently sized to know what is what, instead of being all mushy and pretty much all grounded up together like the inside of a dumpling. Their Tangsooyook is awesome as well! Always comes out super crispy and piping hot and the sauce is never too sweet, which is hard to find at times. They used to always bring the sauce on the side, which I recommend to prevent the pork from getting soggy or having too much sauce, but last time they poured it over my Tangsooyook. Not the end of the world, but I recommend asking the sauce on the side and dipping the pork as you go, or pouring it on your own. JJamppong is decent, but I usually end up getting the Jjajangmyun and Tangsooyook combo here. I love how they have the combos for some of the most popular Chinese inspired Korean dishes for a really good price. They also have different service sizes for them. Their noodles had the perfect texture except the last time I went, but that is still good considering how many times I've been here. I have also tried their "party platter" size dishes here as a work lunch outing and everything I've tried was fabulous. Their dishes are flavorful themselves (and probably with a generous help from MSG haha) without being too salty or overpowering in other ways. I really enjoyed the Chili Shrimp and the Seafood Porridge? I don't get to try them much because I don't get to go here with a big group of people (can I tag along if anyone is going here for a group dinner? lmao) wish they had smaller portions of the party platters, as the portions are for like 3-4 people and I don't like wasting food or having too many leftovers. I do have to take off a star though because their service can be pretty lackluster, especially the tall guy with the glasses. I think he can be extra rude to male patrons. He was always decent with me, but I could tell the difference sometimes...and not just with my table. Besides that, I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
A good spot to satisfy your jjajangmyeon cravings. The yang Jang pi was pretty spicy with the Chinese mustard sauce.

Yelp
Stale tasteless disgusting rude slow miserable Name of the store is in Chinese characters on the wall. Hard to spot unless you know what you're looking for. Korean-chinese fusion for me is chachang myun - black bean sauce noodles. I ordered the beef version. If I were starving for a few days I might eat it, but the noodles taste a few days old, like they cooked it the previous week, left it in a refrigerator with a bunch of rotten food, then microwaved before serving. the beef in the sauce is tiny bits like all the crumbs left over after carving a roast. They also have the consistency of beef jerky. The sauce doesn't have a smoked smell, and doesn't have any flavor. The bowl of sauce it came with is basically just diced onions with a hint of black bean sauce. Better off not ordering any noodle dishes here, since all the noodles are the same. service here is bad, slow, and miserable. The waiter, a man in glasses kicked the high chair my 8 month old was sitting in and he just glared at us. Most Asian restaurants generally hate having children and this one is a prime example. Food here is about $10-$22 a dish. If it were $3-$5 per dish i might say it's worth the money. Bathrooms smelled so much my 2 yearold refuse to go in. I would have complained to the staff but the waiters after taking our order and delivering our food at different times, never came back again. If my family wasn't with me I would have just dumped out the garbage they served me onto the floor and left. But I paid and even tipped because that's the person I am, and so I could leave this review as a paying customer. I hope I can save others from having to suffer through what I did.

Yelp
My favorite place for Korean black bean noodles. It's the closest to authentic in Dallas that I've tried so far. The beef black bean noodle is what I always get. It's big in size and the sauce is pretty good.

Yelp
I thought this place was pretty good. Korean Chinese fusion cuisine. We ordered- spicy seafood jajangmyeon - I'm not a huge fan of seafood and Korean food together but this dish did it. There are different types of seafood, all perfectly cooked. They have these spicy peppers mixed in it that gives the spiciness. It's a burn that lingers. -Tangsuyuk( sweet sour crispy pork)- a little too sweet and saucy. I had to go for the outer area of the plate because it wasn't as sauced as the middle area. You will have some that are crispy and some that are soggy because of the sauce. The crispy ones were delish. I would come back here for the jajangmyeon and try the other kinds of it.

Yelp
Good spot for Koreanized Chinese food if you want to try different things! They have many options on the menu. One thing I really like about this place is that they have half/half entrée option. So if you are wanting to try two different dishes, but don't have stomach for them, you can order half/half option. The portions are pretty big though. The food is decent, nothing fancy or exceptional compared to Chinese food that I had in Korea; however, it is one of the good options in Dallas area.

Yelp
DAMNNNNNNNNN this place is good. The noodles are so soft and boiled to perfection. The sauce has so much flavor and it's the perfect amount.

Yelp
Their food is good but their service sucks. I got their jjajangmyun and the sweet and sour pork. Both dishes were pretty good! Their portions are fairly large. I ordered a small jjajangmyun and a regular sweet and sour pork and it was enough for my family of 3. Every single time I've been here it always takes a while for the waiters to seat us. It's also really hard to get their attention especially if you're sitting at one of the tables inside the rooms. Try to come earlier but overall I think it's worth the semi-bad service.

Yelp
TL;DR - Better than the average JJM restaurant, wide menu for everyone's palate. This business has been around for a bit but I dined here for the first time in December 2017. I concur with the other 4-star reviews: solid food, wide menu options to please everyone, fair prices (on par with its peers), and the herald dish (jajjangmyun, black bean noodles) is pretty good. I got the half-JJM, half-tangsooyook (sweet/sour fried pork) and was pleased with both. The tangsooyook was a little crispy, just how I like it. 4-stars for a solid experience, would come again.

Yelp
After I found out that DCH serves up a mean bowl of jjajangmyun, it's my go to place north of the turnpike. The reason why I like their version of jjajangmyun is because their noodles are a bit thicker than anywhere else. I'd say they're thick as if not, are udon noodles. The black bean sauce has very acceptable amount of veggies and pork meat. If you're not into swine, they also have beef and veggie based options available, too. Also, if you get the combo number four, in addition to the jjajangmyun, it comes with a heaping portion of tangsooyuk which are batter-dipped and fried strips of pork meat in a sweet and flavorful sauce. The veggies in it are cut into big chunks, but nothing your chopsticks can't handle; has a lot of bell peppers, onions, and carrots. The way they make it tastes like my mom's recipe. Mmmm, fond memories. Every time I've dined here it's always near closing time after I've been studying at a near by cafe. Once it hits 10pm they kind of hint that you need to gtfo. Nevertheless, I'm just glad I got to eat some of my favorite food.

Yelp
Ordered three items for delivery and only received two out of them. Started eating one of the dishes and found a rubber band in one of the sauces.

Yelp
WOW where should I start. First the service here is the WORST. The man or the owner I think when he was taking our order he was just bad. He wouldn't say a single word to us when he was taking our order and he wouldn't even say thank you or anything. And the food here is just absolute terrible. Words cannot describe how much this place sucks.

Yelp
To start, I don't know much about Korean-Chinese food. I also don't know if this place serves authentic Korean-Chinese meals. But I do know that next time my friends say they want to come here, I'm running to the car, pulling whoever's in the seat, and throwing them out so I can hitch a ride back to Dong Chun Hong! The place has won my heart and taste buds with some mean tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) and jajangmyeon (noodles with black bean sauce)~ There are a few dishes with Chinese influence, like the mapo tofu and Szechuan noodles, and the check comes with fortune cookies. But that's pretty much all the Chinese-ness I could pick out; no Chinese on the menu, menu items written in Korean are pasted to the walls, the wait staff were Korean, and the television had some Kpop madness going on (Super Junior, yay! :P). No dazzling array of banchan / side dishes here, but we were served some kimchi, raw onions, and the pickled yellow daikon that comes in kimbab as complimentary appetizers Most of the prices were pretty high ($15+ a dish, omgah too expensive for us poor students coming to Ktown to frolic), but when I looked around and creeped at other people's tables, it seemed like all the dishes are ginormous, most probably a foot in diameter! Stick with the combos to keep your wallet happy ^_^ You get to try two dishes at once, gorge on huge portions, and the food is super tasty. So when I first saw the photos on Yelp of the combo plates, I was just excited that I could try more food at once. But when the waiter placed the bowls on the table with a resounding, definite thud, both my friend and I just sort of stared for a few seconds. Check out the iPhone on the side for size comparison in the photo-- these combo plates are large and in charge-- bowls were probably a bit more than 3 inches deep! Both of us ate half of our orders were able to take the rest of it back for another meal :D As for the food itself, this stuff is delish! You know General Tso's chicken from Panda Express? Tangsuyuk is similar but even yummier (and I love, love Panda Express-- traitor to my heritage, I know T-T). The pork meat strips were thick and not over-battered, and that sauce-- oh lawdy! Sweet and thick, but it had a "cleaner" taste. I didn't feel gross and whale-like after lunch. They used corn syrup, but not the high fructose version, so it's healthy...er.... okay, who am I kidding, but it's so worth it!~ According to my too-legit-to-quit friend from Korea, tangsuyuk and jajangmyeon are usually eaten together. Our water glasses stood empty quite a few times, but there is a water dispenser near the kitchen even though the workers also came to refill our glasses sometimes. There are takeout boxes on a shelf for you to grab to take home any leftovers. The atmosphere isn't super happy or special, and the tables are kind of sticky. But I would come back for the food. Super excited to finish the leftovers for dinner tonight, yayyy nom nom~ Check this restaurant out! :3

Yelp
I have had (jjajangmyun) at many restaurants over the years and this place is better than most. I think what I like the best is the texture and consistency of the noodles. The savory black bean sauce has chunks of hearty meat and vegetables. I order the combo with (jjam pong - spicy seafood noodle soup), so I get the best of both worlds! Service is adequate and typical of many ethnically authentic restaurants. I've also tried the (sweet and sour pork) and it was delicious! Crispy fried coating and sweet, gooey sauce! It's pale in color so don't be surprised when it isn't bright red like it is at some mall Chinese counters. Overall, I look forward to eating here and think it's worth the extra distance for the great eats! Enjoy!

Yelp
Food is ok enough to visit a few times as there just is not many Korean Chinese place around DFW. Service is quick, but don't expect great service.

Yelp
I like how there is an option to eat both jjajangmyun and jjangbong. The food is alright but the wait time is pretty long.

Yelp
I am usually lenient with how I view restaurants and other food places because I know how difficult it can be to run a place but this place is downright terrible. 1. Service I was appalled by their terrible service. The water cups they served us had dirty food on them and the table was very dirty. When they served our food they just threw it on the table. My food came out late and when the lady served it she reached from behind me and almost touched my face with a bowl of hot noodles. She didn't say a word to let me know she was there and slammed the food in front of me. The man cleaning the dirty bowls just left the tray of trash and dirty plates right next to our table and it was disgusting. 2. Food quality This was the most serious and concerning aspect of this restaurant. The jjajangmyeon noodles tasted old and was the worst I had ever eaten, my brother couldn't even go on to eat more than 2 bites. It seriously tasted like they just recycled yesterdays food. Now the jjamppong straight up tasted like they used instant noodle packets to season the soup, it was very obvious to my family. Overall our experience here ruined our night and I hope no one has to go through this. Don't go to eat here with your family.

Yelp
Their Sweet and Sour pork dish called "TANGSOOYUK" is to die for. The price is actually a bit high for the dish but .... it's really worth every penny of the $15-$16 that it costed. (i can't remember how much it was exactly hehe)

Yelp
Bad service, food was meh, definitely better Korean choices in Carrollton. Wouldn't recommend unless you want to get upset over being ignored by the wait staff.

Yelp
NEVER going back here, and I would well advise others to beware. The food was terrible; I don't think the cooks know how to make Koreanized Chinese food as everything looked like a terrible imitation you'd maybe find at a bunshik restaurant, which would at least be excusable since that's not their specialty. (In fact, I've been to bunshik places that had better Koreanized Chinese food.) Ingredients that don't belong in particular dishes were present; the food tasted terrible; the order of food served was incorrect: and the worst offense was the service. The waitress was incredibly rude, condescending, and disrespectful. She more or less told my parents to shut up and eat what was served, even threatening to slow down service. They only made a polite request; there was absolutely no reason for her to be so aggressively rude. There is absolutely no reason to ever go here. The food is terrible, and the service is even worse. You have been warned.

Yelp
Pretty tasty Korean-style Chinese food, but likely ridden with MSG and worst, unresponsive service ever.

Yelp
So good huge portions. Friendly staff that makes this place even better. I haven't had jajang this good since I left Southern California. Tasty food makes this place so good.
