I had very high hopes for Donkey and still do. It's new and local to Sandy Springs. A few things, the wait staff needs more training. While the manager was very apologetic and willing to correct a wrong order, the waiter behaved immaturely. I had been waiting a while for my order and when I inquired, I overheard my waiter telling his co-worker that he forgot to put it in. Not a big issue. However, I was annoyed because I had been waiting 30 minutes for vegetable enchiladas. Shortly after, the manager brought over a plate. I noticed that it seemed different from the description on the menu. Thankfully I broke my fork into it before taking a bite because it was filled with beef and I have been vegetarian for over a decade! I informed my waiter and he just looked dumbfounded. The manager quickly brought out the correct plate but at this point my appetite was ruined. While I appreciate the manager comping the meal I was disappointed in my waiter placing the blame on the manager by saying be rushed to bring out the plate rather than apologizing and acknowledging his part. I'll end this on a high note, my frozen margarita was delicious and I would have one any day of the week. If I ate here again, I'd double check my plate!

Really good Mexican food in the Sandy Springs/Roswell area. I started with the Chicken Tortilla Soup and follow with Duo Fajitas, with Shrimp and Chicken Fajitas! Highly recommend!

Food is awesome and place is so unique. I tried carnitas, stuffed peppers, veggie tacos and vegan pozole with some handcrafted margaritas with caramelized jalapenos!! Delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Nachos were extremely good! Corn tortillas we're ok but the asada, rice and beans were good. I asked if it was OK to get 2 different tacos which was confirmed not a problem, and got both of the same no big deal. Mojitos tasted great just too much ice in my opinion. Food comes out piping hot. Definitely would come back.

First time today - came in for lunch with my wife. I had chips, salsa and steak tacos with rice. Everything was very fresh and tasty plus the service was quick and friendly with reasonable prices. We will be back!

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Love the esthetics and the name. The drink I ordered had grapefruit in it but could not taste it. It tasted like a regular margarita. However it was also made so strong I took a few sips and felt sick. It was Taco Tuesday and they have a nice deal for it. You get a two taco plate with rice and beans for 5.95. I got the Pastor (pork) and ground beef. The pastor was wonderfully flavorful just a little tough. The ground beef sadly was over seasoned and I couldn't finish. Overall it is a cute little location with some good potential. I hope this is just them stretching the legs and getting in their groove.

Friday night first time there..complementary chips were stale, tasted as if frying oil was old...same with the chalupa wrap. Burrito wrappings were soggy and mushy,, Beef Burritos was fair, chicken Burrito was very good. Tomato sauce covering basically had no flavor. I believe that all restaurants have their good days and bad days. This we feel was a bad day for this restaurant.

We've been here about 5 times and are never disappointed. Try out this gem when you have time and you won't be disappointed. I promise it's worth the wait.
