We came here this evening to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it was such a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely amazing — full of flavor. The staff were warm and attentive, especially Melissa, who took great care of us throughout our visit. She made the night even more special with her outstanding service. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Came here for the occasion of my son’s birthday. Food was excellent! Must also say the best dim sum I ever found in town. It was on a public holiday and a Sunday too, so service was not totally up to the expected standards but we still had a great fine dinning experience in Brisbane. Will be back for more for sure 👍

Browsing google map to find some chinese food and found them with lots of 5 star review. Walked a little to find it as it does not have a sign anywhere in sight. walked into the hotel and was shown the way to tyhe restaurant. We come on a tuesday 1pm and was surprise to see the restaurant is empty. Glad that we have go ahead and try the food here. The Duck is very very good. smoked crispy skin and soft on the inside. Dim Sum taste are spot on. And the fried rice is really good. Very reasonable price.

The food here like most Asian fusion restaurants is a bit of a hit or miss. Some of the dishes were really good, namely the Szechuan tartare, Xiao long bao, and especially the spicy wontons. Some dishes however were a little subpar, especially for the price. The crispy pork belly was honestly a bit dry, and an odd combo. The Wagyu short rib in sauce was soft but not very fatty. And the Dan Dan noodles were slightly too sweet. The service however was nice and friendly and the restaurant is absolutely beautiful.

This place is probably one of the most beautiful restaurant I’ve ever visited. The old charm mixed with modern style is just beautiful. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. We ordered chicken, prawn + shiitake siu mai as entree, very tasty. For main we had kung pao chicken, stir fried beef & pork and prawn fried rice. All were taste amazing, the only problem was some of the beef was chewy. We couldn’t swallow it. We were expecting the beef to just melt in your mouth given the price point. The portion was generous. My husband and I were too full to order a dessert. I also had the bubble tea, it tastes refreshing. Nice place for date night.

$128pp Banquet Review Overall: at it's price point, I expected better. Still left full and happy, but it's overpriced for hit and miss food. 😄 7/10 House pickles (V+, GE) 😪 4/10 Cooling cucumber salad (V+. GF. DF), not special ☺️ 7/10 Beef salad w/ peanuts, coriander, chilli oil (DF. GFO) 😍 9/10 Raw Kingfish w chilli + finger lime (GF.DF) 😒 2.5/10 Chicken in Sichuan chilli oil (DF) - DRYYYY and flavourless 😐 4 /10 Cumin spiced lamb buns - weird sauce / profile 🥰 8.5/10 Prawn + scallop wontons w black vinegar + chilli (DF) 😁 8/10 wagyu striploin w perilla + beef fat vinaigrette (DF. GFO) 🫡 7/10 Kung pao chicken w dried chillies, shallot + macadamia (DE) - macadamias were nice 🙂 6.5/10 Steamed market fish w ginger + shallot - standard 🥬 6.5/10 Choy sum w oyster sauce + fried garlic (DF) 😅 7/10 Milk pudding w jasmine caramel + Chinese doughnut - the donut was a donut hole, not "Chinese" ✨Nice environment. Server forgot a few requests, but was polite about it. You're paying for the nice location.

The food and service were excellent, but the restaurant's atmosphere didn't match the cuisine. The interior design didn't reflect the Asian theme, making it almost impossible to guess the restaurant's focus upon entering. Feels like a hotel lobby instead of a proper dining establishment.

Google
Wonderful setting, food and service amazing. This is an upmarket venue and very popular. I would suggest making a reservation as it’s in the reception area of a hotel. The restaurant is in the reception area of the old bank building.

Yelp
Delicious food We had lunch at this beautiful heritage listed restaurant in the old Queensland Government Insurance Office. The food was a level up from the standard Chinese restaurant offering and the service was excellent. Nicey but pricey!

Yelp
Delicious food, we loved the Donna Lobster Roll, small but exquisite! Also the Moreton Bay grilled bug was a masterpiece! The duck with pancakes was beautifully displayed and the duck was nicely prepared. The slicing of the duck and cucumber was not traditional from our time in Beijing. Also the chicken in the Kung Poa was not properly diced. But the biggest detractors were the unfriendly greetings, and terrible seating. Our table faced the street and was far from enjoyable. The reception and hospitality were cold at best, but the food was delicious. If they do takeout, I would return.

Yelp
absolutely filthy food and the staff is also horrible and sat us next to a bin with flies and maggots and me and my wife were disgusted
