Visited Donnafugata winery during a trip to Marsala in September. First of all I must say that the staff is amazing. I requested a last minute tasting and there were able to accommodate me. On the phone as well as in person the staff was friendly, welcoming and very professional. The actual winery is modern, beautiful and full of artworks. The tasting tour provides a comprehensive history of the family and winery and visit of the grounds. Good to know that there are no vineyards as part of the visit. The tasting was limited to 4 wines accompanied by delicious bouchée and it was good to give you a quick overview of standard wines (note that Donnafugata does not make Marsala, if that is what you hoped to taste you may be disappointed). Already being familiar with the Donnafugata wines, I would have like a more focused / specific tasting. The one thing I liked less is that is that the tasting took place in the wine shop and the back and forth of people coming in was a bit distracting particularly when it was a large group.
Overall I would definitely recommend visiting Donnafugata to taste delicious wine if you pass by Marsala.
