We really enjoyed ourselves watching the Amazing Love Jazz All the way from California play outside the venue. It was awesome and the Donuts. OMG those donuts I had two different ones. One was that caramel cream cheese Lord. I don't even know what I had. It was awesome and the other one was Maple bacon. Wow!

So I wanted a little snack never been to this spot before, it very laid back, come here to hang out, come here to work, the setting is very nice, I orded a strawberry shortcake donut, it was very soft and the iceing wasn't loaded with sugar, jaylen was very nice and explained to me the flavors, and the times they have gatherings, you can put your own topping on them,I was supposed to buy another when I came back but got donuts where I came from, but they wasnt good like Donnie's. I recommend you at least stop by and try one, there is plenty of options available. I gave it a four because the bathroom flooring could use some caring.

Cute place with delicious donuts! The staff was super friendly and helpful when it came to ordering - they took the time to understand what we like/preferred and then gave recommendations. No parking lot, street parking near by. Wheelchair accessible

Banana pudding cake doughnut was delicious. Service (packaging) was not great. Would go back for the doughnuts but there’s a stale smell inside the shop and it’s not very inviting for a sit down experience. There’s different prices for two different types of doughnuts (I think original and vintage?) but it’s not clear which doughnuts fall under which one.

Really nice cake donuts. Amazing flavor range. LOVED the Strawberry Shortcake. Very much on the sweeter side so def a special occasion treat!

Delicious, fresh, melt in your mouth donuts! Took the family for the first time this weekend and will definitely be returning. Everyone loved the donut they picked. Will try a specialty coffee next time around. If you're unsure, GO! You won't be disappointed.

A couple-owned local donut shop, serving 'made from scratch' cake donuts and handcrafted drinks. Setting: Located across Bomb Biscuit and an 8 minute walk from the beltline. There's ample parking and comfy seating. Service: We met co-owner Patti and she was the sweetest. You can tell they put a lot of love into their craft. Sweets: The Snicker's donut had a delicious peanut butter and chocolate flavor. The Homer was soft and delicate with sprinkles.

Great classic donuts! I'm a fan of the old fashioned cake styled donuts that are served here. Cinnamon sugar is a tasty classic treat. Love the hibiscus tea which i tried in the recommendation of the cashier who provided great service.I believe the tea is called the purple haze.

(3.5 stars )The service lady that helped me was friendly. I was curious to see how their donuts tasted. I had an apple fritter style and a southern belle. They have 2 price ranges. Classic and modern. I got modern. The donuts taste light and fresh pretty good. It's a unique situation for the most part. Nothing too phenomenal or mind blowing, but the attitude and environment is good in my first experience here. Did not get the health inspection score. I might stop through again for a Samoa donut. The service lady didn't fill the OJ cup to the top and said she HAD TO add ice. I didn't like that. It comes off as cheap, but other than that the experience was fine. I would advise anyone visiting to make sure their cup is full. And reject the ice if they don't want it.

Atlanta's donut scene is on the up and up, and I am thrilled to add Donnie's Donuts to my list of favorites (Revolution Doughnuts, Hero Doughnuts, The Salty Donut, and Sub Base Dandy Donuts). I found Donnie's Donuts while I was waiting on my carryout from Bomb Biscuit, which is across the street. Originally founded in Florida by Donald and Patti Summerlin, Atlanta is now the only place you can find these cake-based donuts. They showcase 15-20 types of donuts daily, ranging from the simple, vintage flavors to modern flavors such as sea breeze (salted caramel), banana pudding, and strawberry shortcake. Everything is house-made and made with non-GMO sugars. The customer service is wonderful--the staff is friendly and willing to offer suggestions and insight on the donuts and beverage options. To top it all off, Donnie's Donuts has a very cool vibe. The dark, industrial vibe and vintage furniture invite one to hang out with friends and family. Our half-dozen box included cinnamon sugar, cinnamon sugar sweet potato, peanut butter cup (chocolate, peanut butter, peanut butter chips), sand dollar (cream cheese, cinnamon streusel, powered sugar), french toast (vanilla maple, cinnamon, powdered sugar), and maple bacon. These donuts are decadent and fluffy (for cake donuts). Donnie's has frosting in place of glaze, but I appreciate its appropriate level of sweetness. I look forward to trying other donut variations and their beverages. Donnie's serves fair trade organic coffee, tea (from a female co-op in Thailand), and blended drinks.

Okay wow! These donuts are something else! I'm no donut connoisseur by a long shot but from time to time, I have massive cravings for them. Today was that day. I drove by Donnie's Donuts the other day and was intrigued. Thankfully, they were available on Door Dash and quickly ordered. They have tons of options but I ultimately opted for combo #6 - comes with a fruity pebble, apple pie, cinnamon roll and maple bacon donuts. I haven't had the chance to try all four flavors but I did start with the apple pie. First bite, the donut itself was not greasy and has a cake-y texture. The caramel topping is quite sweet for my taste but loved the apple topping. I would say it's more of a caramel apple donut than apple pie. I didn't really get any hints of cinnamon and spices.

There isn't anything subliminal about this establishment... the smells of sugary greatness are vented to the outside of the building and you can smell it in the air for several blocks. There is no neon flashing sign needed- it beckons you in immediately. Our server was very helpful and answered our questions with detail. She helped us chose 6 different donuts to go. We were thrilled with the flavors and freshness!

Wow these are some pretty good donuts!! Came into the shop and was given the run down by the owner- I ordered two donuts since I had another sweet treat from another place... one thing I will say I immediately noticed is how SOFT these donuts are ... Omg I absolutely love how fluffy these are... I thought they would be much more dense since they are cake donuts. The key lime was delicious. The strawberry was not so sweet compared to key lime, perfect if you want something sweet but not too sweet... Not pictured, but I also had the "king of Siam " l believe this is the iced chai; this was good, perfect with the donuts since it's not so sweet. I will be back for more, the owner is so sweet I hope everyone can try these at least once in their lives because they are truly decadent ~

We stopped in after a race to grab donuts. I'm not a fan of cake donuts but I enjoyed the sweet potato donuts. They were super moist with a slight crunch on the bottom. The Salted caramel chocolate was my favorite out of the 3 that I tried. The cheesecake with the apple was pretty good. I would have enjoyed the key lime better if it was on a sweet potato donut. The donuts were $1.90 for a single. The prices decrease with the amount of donuts that you purchase. The service was quick and friendly. It's a cute spot and there's seating inside and out.

Donnie's Donuts is an amazing place. First, the staff is super nice. It was our first time in and they explained everything on the menu. The coffee is nice and unique. They have your well know options and some more unique options. Right off the belt line, it's a nice spot to get out of the sun. The donuts are all made in house and it was soooo good. I loved it. I recommend getting some of the more unique donuts because the one I had was so flavorful. They have indoor and outdoor seating so if you want a place to chill out and hang out, this is it. Please check this place out. It's worth it.

We originally discovered Donnies in Daytona. We were so thrilled to find they'd opened in Atlanta. We drove about an hour to get here and boy was it totally worth it! From the freshly baked, fluffy, soft with a slight crunch exterior donut to the endless amounts of toppings you can customize with its truly donut heaven. My all time favorite is the blueberry lemonade. It's a blueberry cake donut with lemon icing, a blueberry drizzle and topped with fresh strawberries. The ambiance of this location is bright and fresh. It's a cashless business. I will come here again and again. 10/10 would reccomend! Worth checking out!!!

Charming little donut shop pumping out donuts and coffee. Texture was light and airy. Not heavy like a lot of yeast donuts. Multiple flavors available. Sea salt caramel was ridiculous. That took multiple bites and had to share it. Was so good, but really rich. Would have given a five, but I want a little deeper chocolate flavor in my chocolate donut. Could taste it a little, but not as much as I like. Will still go back as the sea salt caramel was a hit and the staff was excellent and gave great service. Vibe was calm and quiet. You could have a hangout or do some work. Great atmosphere.

Such a cute place!! I had seen this place online and wanted to check it out, especially hearing about how popular their Florida location is. I've been here twice now and both times have not disappointed. You can find street parking nearby on Highland Avenue or in one of the decks, or it's a short walk just off the Beltline. The owners and staff are so nice and take the time to explain all their flavors and story. I've tried their banana pudding and Boston creme donuts and both were absolutely delicious!! I love these cake donuts and their size is just perfect for a quick treat. They have plenty of seating indoor and outdoor and their Chai/tea options are also delicious. Can't recommend enough and can't wait to keep going back!!

These donuts were delicious! It's all cake donuts and they make them fresh daily. They have vanilla and chocolate base donuts available with various options for each. We tried the peanut butter cup and death by chocolate. Both were really good and the donut itself was so soft. The toppings for each were delicious too. I loved the cream cheese frosting for the peanut butter one.

I went here on 10/26/2024 for the first time. I visited bomb biscuit which is actually across the street for breakfast. I saw this business and line before I visited. I saw pictures of donuts and the selection which is vast from the vintage to the modern donuts. I got a dozen of modern donuts to share with my family. I got cheesecake donuts,Boston cream,banana pudding,coconut chocolate and keylime. The only word I can say is omg once I tasted the cheesecake donut. The banana pudding donut is no joke either delicious..

"Mrs. Donnie" was a delight before 8 am in the morning on a Wednesday! She was honest and conversational while making our items accurately and with care. I couldn't decide from all the great menu options and she never made me feel pressure. This is one of many shops, so I am truly thankful to have her chat with us and take our order! It's clean and cute.

Located right across from bomb biscuits and close to where Jacks wings and pizza used to be and the belt line. They have a front section and another section for seating in the back with a plenty of comfy couches to work or lounge with friends and family. Service is very nice, everyone is helpful and I see fresh donuts coming out and they'll even make a flavor on the spot for you if it's not on the display. The owner said they have a location in Daytona! Very nice Some of my fav: Samoa Banana pudding Blue berry I was pleasantly surprised and am a return customer! I can't wait to try all the flavors.

Great service - as soon as I walked in, the cashier explained to me the pricing and the different specials they do on different days. I only got one donut (maple bacon) and it was soooo good! I'm a little picky with donuts too so that's saying something. Will definitely come back if I'm ever in Atlanta again.

Who doesn't love an old fashioned donut with a modern twist? Donnie's Donut feels newish for the area but resturants and shops come and go some often it's hard to keep up. Came for coffee left with donuts. Picked up the Purple Palmer (hibiscus tea) and a Caramel Latte. The oat milk in the latte was so creamy I questioned was it dairy free. The donut flavors are fun..picked up a lemon blueberry, southrenbelle, and strawberry shortcake. It was cool to watch the staff actively ice and garnish each donut. Super friendly staff. The staff was helpful, patient, and answered every question I had. Where are the beans from, how'd you make it, what's in the icing, what's your favorite, what's your blood type (joking) but they probably would have answered. Street parking and very close to the beltline and freedom Parkway. Grabbing a biscuit at Bomb Biscuit and finishing with "something sweet" from Donnie's Donuts is an amazing way to kickoff a beltline adventure.

We ran into Donnie's Donuts while going for brunch nearby and what a pleasant surprise! They make delicious fried donuts that we took to go. Even cold they were delicious. My fave was the cinnamon crunch, Boston cream, and peanut butter donut. My only wish would be for them to make baked donuts with the filling inside and not only on top. Regardless, I'll visit again when I'm in the area. Keep up the good work.

I've walked past this place so many times wanting to try them out but today was the day that I actually stopped and I am so glad that I did! Pattie and Donald, the owners, were super sweet and helpful in my doughnut decision making. I ended up getting the Samoa and French toast doughnuts and I have ZERO regrets! Not only that but they gave my little four legged baby a pup doughnut, which he was REAL excited and happy about haha! But to top it off I was originally going to get just a cold brew but something about that Purple Palmer was screaming my name, and I am so glad that I tried it out. (Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a photo the Purple Palmer do to me dropping it, but just know, it was bomb lol!) Overall this a such a cute spacious doughnut shop, that I highly recommend. I cannot wait to come back to visit this spot to try out more doughnuts and different drinks on the menu.

Owner came to greet us and was very friendly. Place was clean, cozy, and not loud. Prices were also reasonable. There were no loud sounds of coffee machines that you typically expect from places like this either. The donuts were all great, especially my favorite two, the blueberry blueberry one and the chocolate cheesecake. All the ones we sampled were good though, like the fruity pebbles and banana pudding, and definitely worth another visit. Couldn't see the explanations for several of the drinks and what was in them though, so you either had to ask about it or just guess what was in them.

After a evening dinner, and having the taste for a cup of java. Not wanting to visit the standard coffeehouse, we traveled throughout neighborhoods enjoying the Christmas decorations. Look ! a new donut spot, surely fresh brew coffee. As we entered and embarked on our mystery shop, we were impressed with the cleanness and its customer service. We made a holiday declaration to order hot chocolate and guess what " It was amazing " !!! Silky and cocoa rich in flavor. The environment offered a soft but uplifting charm, with piped holiday music .We didn't have any donuts, will return to experience other treats.

My run club did a donut run and this was one of the stops. I truly did not expect to stop but when I saw this place I had to. The owners were SO NICE!! They gave us the whole background and explained everything. Could not have been more spectacular!! I kept it simple with a chocolate with sugar vintage and it was great. I have to shout out the price as well because these were priced incredibly!! Great variety and overall great vibes!! I can't wait to go back and try the coffee and spend more time!

I came to try Bomb Biscuit and found this place, which had just opened a few days before. They were still getting their drink menu together. They have cake donuts and decorate them with different flavored toppings. They were tasty, but a little too sugary for me. I also prefer filled donuts. I think they'll be super popular bc I don't think anyone else in Atlanta is making these. Definitely worth a try! The staff was super sweet and helpful.

Staff was very friendly & the person who took our order took her time in explaining to us how we could customize donuts with different icings & toppings. So far, we've had 4 of the 9 we ordered & well definitely be back as these donuts are delicious.

Delicious, cozy, friendly. Cold brew was so good. This time I tried the death by chocolate and some banana cream type. Also have had the blueberry and a butterscotch cream of some sort. All have been really good. Comfy chairs to read and chiil in.

I finally had the opportunity to stop in during my coffee run. This place literally smells like what I think heaven smells like; sweet with a hint of coffee brewing. They have a great selection to choose from. The donuts look like little pieces of art. I decided to go with the strawberry shortcake. Lord have mercy! Not too sweet and so soft on the inside. So delicious! At $2.90 I'm not breaking the bank for a gourmet donut. The service was amazing. The ladies working behind the counter were very helpful and gave great insight on the company as a whole. Please support!

The service was so nice we decided to write a review before even taking a bite. But man we couldn't believe it the donuts are actually better than the service. We tried the maple bacon, death by chocolate, and French toast. First time trying old fashion donuts and they all were so good.

Donnie's is a great addition to Atlanta. I've visited multiple times while in Florida and I had to go to the Atlanta location when I saw they expanded. They have quality donuts made with care. Thanks for the great donuts and friendly conversation!

I'm 53. I've had a lot of donuts in my life. And when I say a lot, I mean A LOT!!!! These are the best donuts I've ever had. They are amazing. I brought my 10-year old son with me to Donnie's. He was smiling the whole time while he was eating the donut in pure bliss. Amazing.

Stopped by Donnie's this morning as I was driving through Old Fourth Ward. They specialize in cake donuts and they were incredible. I especially loved the Samoan donut. The cake was soft but had the perfect amount of crisp on the outside. I also had a chance to spend a few minutes talking to Patti, one of the owners. It was so great to hear a little bit of her story and her passion for donuts. Will definitely be back again soon!

Wow! The donuts are amazing. We tried a plain cake donut and a strawberry shortcake donut, absolutely delicious! The cake donuts have a sublime crisp that will have us visiting more often than we should. Looking forward to trying other flavors.

If you like cake donuts, this is the place for you. I wanted a yeast donut, so I was disappointed. Also, the flavors just weren't that great. Customer service was quick and friendly.

The service was incredible but the donuts were out of this world! The cake donuts were light and airy with a sweet, crisp outside and moist inside. My roommates and I got 6 different flavors to try and they were each so amazing! We can't wait to come again and maybe grab so coffee and take in some reading time in their comfy seating!
