I stopped in on a Friday evening and had a great time. The piano player was fantastic and the singing bartenders, waiter and audience made for a super fun evening. Definitely going back next time I'm in Vegas

Everyone was so nice. The pianist was very talented. We enjoyed when the bartenders sang - great energy. Somehow we missed the memo that it was a karaoke/piano bar. We didn’t want to stand up and sing; we just wanted to sing along.

Updated to share our most recent experience April 2024 Staff were not as friendly this time, when we approached the bar to order more drinks (zero hurry on our part) the owner was rude to both us and her staff. Pianist Kenny was great at playing, but he continued to sing with a room of people waiting to sing. People which had ordered drinks, tipped both him and the bar staff. At one point he invited his mom up to sing. When originally requesting to sing, he was very direct and rude. Of course we tipped him as we planned to ($5 this time compared to our normal $20, because of his demeanor) and he let us sing one song right away. We had requested and wanted to sing a song with Chris at the same time (he is absolutely incredible both as a singer and in customer service). After waiting for about an hour, we asked Chris if he could check with the pianist. Of course he did and the pianist told him we could continue to wait and he continued to play. We went in with smiles on our face, completely friendly in every way possible. Something was off amongst the staff and you could feel the tension. Unfortunately it's on the pianist to help control the vibe in the room and he wasn't reading the room well. People started leaving and so did we. Overall our experience wasn't like the great time we had on our first visit. Updated review to 3 stars because of this. November 2023 We heard an incredible voice singing (Brittany) from the street, so we followed it and stumbled upon this place called Don't Tell Mama. Upon entering the bar, the owner greeted us by first saying "order a drink, tip the bar staff and the pianist and we will let you sing." I guess they have people sit and not spend money, which isn't the case for us. We met Chris, which also is an incredible singer. We ordered drinks, tipped each bartender $20 individually, including one that wasn't working that night and was just singing. We tipped the pianist $20 up front, and then $100 after having friendly conversation with him. We had the best night, listening to some incredible singers, great service, friendly people. Would highly recommend based on this visit.

We came to the piano bar last night. We had a complete BALL! Had so much fun. You are a hidden gem. The staff are sweet and friendly. The piano player is excellent… and then the bartenders start to dazzle with their vocal styles. Totally amazing. I have done many shows in Vegas over the years. This a a new staple to visit EVERY time we come, and as far as I am concerned, the very BEST BEST place to spend a night. Thanks to your staff and the hospitality. Best night! ❤️

Don’t tell mama he came to the white piano bar at Fremont and fourth Street downtown Las Vegas is absolutely fantastic. Better than fantastic. It’s amazing incredible big white grandpa nice bar. Plenty room to sit and the have a party or just listen. Drink a little bit have a sprite if you don’t drink booze, otherwise have a whiskey, sour double and the bartenders all like they should be on the two gentlemen play the piano and the beautiful blonde lady in holy cow. yikes she is so sexy and beautiful and can sing. Yes she can and she’s an old hippie. Sorry I don’t know her name but she’s great too. The whole place is great. It’s owned by Ming Ming sits in the back every night they’re open six nights a week, and Mondays are closed so stay open till 3, or 4 in the morning! I can’t say enough good about it don’t mama you came to the white piano bar downtown Las Vegas. It’s well worth it. Beyond worth it the memories experience everything will go with you

I had the same experience as Geoff, Shalifa and Ingrid who left comments. I wish I would have heeded the warning. Even though I tipped the piano player as well, he never got to my song after over an hour had passed. Mind you, there were not a lot of people in that joint, but obviously most of them must have been regulars because I noticed someone went before me who had actually put their request in after. There needs to be a legit queue for people to sign up like at DINOS or Ellis Island (faves) so you know it's fair. Go at your own risk guys, but there are plenty of other karaoke bars around including Cats Meow right upstairs if you want to actually sing and have a great time. My friends and I ended up leaving to do just that.

Google
If you like singing and enjoy open mic, when you are Las Vegas, come here to sing and you will enjoy it. Nice place, very professional pianist toe play the song you want to sing. Excellent bartenders (they are go singers too) and reasonable price. I really enjoyed and will go back soon.

Google
So much fun. I mean really a karaoke piano bar where all the staff also sing. Good quick service and friendly people and staff. And gotta say best Lemon Drop shot ever!

Yelp
This is one of the best stops we made while in Vegas. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND stopping by and having a drink AND listen to the singing bartender's and one of the best piano players I've heard in a while.... There's no entrance fee but they take tips..... the ambiance is very fun. Check out some of the video's.... There was a few walk in singers and players that even added to the fun.

Carl S.

Yelp
Fun place with live piano. Take turns singing the song with the pianist. Good drinks. The staff pull double duty being bartenders, cocktail server and singer. Fun place to hang out.

John P.

Yelp
We have been wanting to drop by here for a while after being told about it from others who have been here. The venue is nice overall, staff friendly and drinks reasonably priced. My wife loved her amaretto sour and was one of the best she has had in awhile. The piano player on this night was Kyle Martin who is talented and entertaining (he does his Piano Man show at the Planet Hollywood V Theater which is a must see). This particular evening they had individuals from the crowd and the bartender singing which was unique and entertaining. Overall, our experience was good and I'd proably put it at a 3.5 only because we have been to other piano bars that seemed to generate more audience energy.

Viki V.

Yelp
Nice little piano bar. Good drink prices. Plays requests, but AC struggles and music too loud and in tune

Shana B.

Yelp
We are locals. And I LOVED this place. And I talked my friends (who did not want to go) into going. And we waited and waited, an hour or more, in an empty bar on a Thursday, through a concert of very talented bartenders with amazing voices. And the piano player, a pretty blonde woman who seemed to be great, took each of our song requests and looked at them and then DEAD-EYE sang "Creep", the song we had requested, without allowing us to sing a single song. It was a special type of vitriol. One that we weren't expecting. And we didn't deserve. The piano player may have thought we were hapless tourists and a good target for taking her anger out on us but it truly ruined our night. Please take this woman off your spree; she has issues that she's taking out on customers.

Yelp
3.5 rating Well... this cool place is located around the Fremont Experience. We were excited to listen to piano playing and some good vocals. It was nice to see that the bartenders were part of the interaction with singing too. We ordered some drinks and unfortunately they weren't good. Even the guy next to us put his card down and closed out with a full drink he didn't bother to consume. No one questioned why we didn't consume our drinks or asked how they were. $20 plus a nice tip for a non alcohol and alcohol beverage. A little bit on the pricy side but the entertainment was exciting especially the highlight was a drunk guy who surprised us with his great vocals!!

Jen C.

Yelp
A hidden gem in Fremont if you are looking for a fun evening away from extreme crowds. It is dimly lit with tables a lot around but not a large place. On stage, there is a piano player who sings along with wait staff and you can make a request of the piano player with a tip. Be advised that it is customary to trip the piano player and the wait staff for your performances if you desire and can. Arrive earlier for stage time and an intimate experience. The drinks for me were tasty but did not pack a huge punch for $10 each. I'd probably stick with beer on a future visit rather than cocktails. If you are visiting and are singers or enjoy live music, check it out! The other great thing is that the parking garage for that complex is $9 for the entire night, which is a steal compared to a lot of places.

Yelp
We came to Vegas for the international builders show and my birthday. Looking for a place to eat and go out we ended up at Oscar's steakhouse on Fremont. It was an awesome dinner with a great view of Fremont street. Highly recommend. It was time to go to the next place and I did a search for piano bars and found don't tell Mama. After dinner we ventured on over there for the time of our lives. It's a bit of a hole in the wall kind of place and you will be glad you went there. Excellent excellent piano players and karaoke singers. The bartenders are entertainers as well. We had so much fun. Bee and Dre where the bartenders on staff and they took really good care of us. Plus they're both excellent singers. We think we're going to go there again tonight. See you then!

Sharon C.

Yelp
We stopped in here as part of our redeux of our first trip to Vegas when we fell in love many years ago. The pianist was so agreeable and did a fair version of Walking on A Dream. This is just at the end of Fremont Street so it's easy to miss. Thanks for the memories!

Tori G.

Yelp
Drinks were good and the bartenders and even people going up to sing were amazing! Nice little bar, had a great time here. They did play a lot of slow songs and showed off some great voices, wasn't quite like sing your heart out and party with dueling pianos!

Alexander S.

Yelp
On a Sunday night, my wife and I visited Don't Tell Mama on a friend's recommendation. The vibe was very chill, because no one is out partying on a Sunday night. But that meant there was better than average service for us. The singing and piano were phenomenal, and the bartender whipped up a mean Pina colada for my wife, and a SOLID nuts 'n' berries cocktail for me. We had such a fantastic time. The place was clean, the ambience was fun, and I'm definitely coming back on the regular.

Aernnie S.

Yelp
One of the best piano bar in Las Vegas. I always love to go there to enjoy there music. Recommend to every one!

Alison J.

Yelp
It's a cool spot to try your hand at karaoke with a piano player. We recommend Thursday nights when Philly Tilley is tickling the keys-she's funny and very talented! The drinks are ok-a little weak-and the severs are fun and nice. Recommend for a fun night out!

Deven M.

Yelp
In the past 2 1/2 years I have been to Vegas about 8 times and this past weekend my girlfriend and I spent about 4 hours or so drinking in Don't Tell Mama's and had the time of our lives. Great music. Great friendly bartenders. Funny pianist. It was an all around great vibe. It started off very slow and quiet at first but turned into a real party by the end of the night. We will definitely be back in the future

Joe L.

Yelp
What a nice surprise! The piano player was too-notch, the bartenders could really sing, and the customers that got up to sing were quite entertaining regardless of ability. I was a little disappointed that I was never called up to sing, but maybe the piano player didn't know the song that I requested. All in all, a nice break from the usual Vegas activities. Fun!

Ashley R.

Yelp
Amazing Piano Bar in the Fremont area. No cover for entry (at least not on Wednesday). The incredible pianist, Kenny Davidsen was both talented and friendly. This absolutely made our Vegas experience! Glad this piano is allowing karaoke-esk experience whereas many hotel piano bars were not yet open to that again. Always tip your pianists! The bartenders both performed and were delightful. As was the crowd of very fun, friendly, and supportive folks. I am committed to going back every time I visit Vegas!

PJ Q.

Yelp
Amazing piano bar with amazing people that work and attend. Special thanks to Kenny who played piano for us as we sang, as well as the great staff that also sang their hearts out. It's our favorite bar on the planet!

Katie W.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem on Fremont! I will be back every visit to Vegas! The staff is great, the martini was great, piano man was amazing!!!!

David B.

Yelp
Pleasant and quaint atmosphere with friendly bartenders that happen to sing. Wasn't very busy on a Wednesday night but nice relaxing atmosphere for a couple cocktails. Pianist was very good. Would like to visit again when there's a larger crowd.

Annie M.

Yelp
What is this place? Aspiring broadway actors? Amazing people for sure. The bar tenders and patrons sing like professionals. A great night in downtown vegas. The drinks are a second thought....but i was too distracted by the downright professionals. Hope i see you on broadway soon!

Rachel K.

Yelp
MAN! What a gem of a place! Stumbled upon this place after being severely disappointed by the karaoke place near by. The owners were hospitable and kind, the bartenders were so fun and Kyle the pianist is the best! He will sing with you too and help along the way if you're nervous or need it. Such a cool experience. Drinks were so reasonable for Vegas prices, so obviously even better. 10/10 had a lovely time. Will be back.

David D.

Yelp
Their new location is AMAZING! It's not as intimate as the original location, but there is a still the same atmosphere as the old location. Even better now it's NO SMOKING. THANK GOD. I've been coming to this bar for 9+ years and my only complaint used to be about the smoking. Lastly, the drink prices are super reasonable for a name brand call. BEST PIANO BAR IN LAS VEGAS!

Scott M.

Yelp
Awesome place. Comfortable. Supportive. Great piano player. Song list they actually let YOU sing. Awesome bartenders. I really enjoyed my time here. Great work, folks! Thanks for a terrific evening!

Reginald L.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday in January 2023 for reference. Bar enforced a minimum purchase per person which is fine I suppose. The thing that really bothered me is one of the bartenders got up to sing then made an announcement about the tip jar which is already ridiculous. Then he preceded to walk to every table and personally ask people for money. We had already tipped on our drinks as well as to the guy at the piano it's goofy to have your bartender harassing people for extra money

Tatum H.

Yelp
One of the highlights of our trip! Great atmosphere, great entertainment, great service. Prices are very reasonable (which left us more to tip :) and drinks were delicious!

Bernoulli. S.

Yelp
First time here and highly recommend if ya want somewheres to hang , have some drinks, listen to some tunes on the pianos and make some requests, service is good. If you're in downtown Vegas scopeage is recommended.

Mike C.

Yelp
I think this place delivers the most fun in Vegas -- and that's definitely saying something. It's a piano bar with a big difference: the pianist can play just about any song you want to sing, and the servers are first-class singers to boot. Don't miss it.

Neva H.

Yelp
A hidden treasure on Fremont Street! Great staff, amazing music and a great vibe and atmosphere. LOVED our evening so much we went back twice during our stay in Vegas.

Rick S.

Yelp
So much fun. Talented staff that can make a great drink too. Bring cash to tip the pianist and singers. They post who is singing and playing on their FB page each day.

Jesse L.

Yelp
Found this little gem on an adventurous date night with the better half. Had one of the funnest time in memory and ended up staying for 4 hours. Setup is a no frill, but quaint bar with live pianos. The bartenders are attentive and friendly, but most of all, they're incredible performers. The drink price are very reasonable. Bring cash for tipping.

Janice N.

Yelp
This is a great late night stop when you are downtown. They had someone singing and playing on the piano and singing bartenders. The most fun part is that they allowed guests to also go up and perform. Great cocktails and just a fun place to hear all of your favorite songs (and they definitely take requests)

Andrew L.

Yelp
I've been there many times, what a blast. Classic cocktails and really good singing, always humming after not telling Mama. This is how we represent, downtown. The Griffin is nice to have close by, we have gone back and forth.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
What a super fun and cute almost-duplicate of the New York City original. We were given a seat in the front, so we were able to see and hear the great pianist and singers. It is definitely more karaoke than we thought it would be, and the pace was managed well. The servers sang so well, and they had great humor, including taking crazy requests from the audience. The drinks were great, and service was quick. This was a great place off the strip to experience wonderful live music and tasty drinks.

Kayla J.

Yelp
I love this place! I went here around 12am on a Thursday and it was very laid back! Amazing singers, love the drinks. Definitely a place to go to if you just want to hang out.

Ashleen S.

Yelp
So much fun! I've done just about everything there is to do in Vegas. I've been dazzled by some of the greatest experiences possible here. But this little hidden piano bar with open mic has been more fun than pretty much anything I've ever done here! I am so sad we didn't find it until our last night of our trip. Amazing vibe, incredible talent from Colt the pianist, Coco and Jeremy the singing bartenders, and consistently amazing martinis. I love this place. Will 1000% be back.

Lily Z.

Yelp
Bartenders are nice and they take turns singing on stage! I accidentally sprained my ankle earlier that night and a friend was able to fashion an ice pack for me with the help of the bartender. Don't expect super fancy cocktails since it's such a laid back atmosphere. But it's a nice respite from the other establishments in the area.

Michael S.

Yelp
This place was sooooo awesome! Visiting from out of town and stumbled on this place accidentally. The piano player was great, singing anything and everything! Bee and Christine were incredible, they were funny, pretty, and super talented. I'm gonna come back the rest of my vacation, I hope the 2 of them will be there over the weekend too!!!

Lisa H.

Yelp
I had my bachelorette party here this past Wednesday, and WOW, what a great time! I've been wanting to come down here to Don't Tell Mama for ages, but I don't ever go downtown unless I can help it. When my bridesmaid suggested it, I was eager to say yes! We arrived at 8, just as the pianist was starting. If you read my reviews frequently, you know I'm a big karaoke goer. This was SO. MUCH. FUN. I asked to get up and sing right away, and while I forgot the words to my first song, I still had a blast!! In my drunken state, I HAD written down the names of the bartenders, pianist, and manager, as they all were AMAZING in making my night so fun, but...countless Patron shots ensured that I misplaced the napkin. So...whoever was there Wednesday night: Thank you. I have already told ALL of my singer friends that we have to plan another night out. We had so much fun!!!! Thanks again!!!

Weslyn K.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Laid back but fun! Staff service is exceptional and drink prices reasonable. Ben was the best!! They welcomed us Hawaiians and made sure we enjoyed our time!

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Went this last Monday night 3/19 and to our surprise Don't Tell Mama was open even though Yelp says they are closed mondays. A group of about 10-15 of us came out for my birthday and decided to stop in. Haven't been in years and wanted to check it out. Very happy we did. Bartender was friendly and welcomed us to the bar. Got us drinks right away. Pianist was entertaining and professional and a fun attitude. We will definitely be back! Thanks for the great drinks and entertainment!

Cayla T.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. The vibe is immaculate, prices are decent and the singing is so great. I love being able to sing myself and can't wait until that is back after covid restrictions lift. My only qualm is about two weeks ago my friend and I went and were there for quite a while, spending money, tipping the singers and piano player and enjoying our night. We had requested the bartender Carly to sing a song and she came up to us and said she wouldn't sing a hard song for $2...we spent about $300 that night and $100-$120 was in tips to the singers. So I love that place and will continue going but am totally fine with never hearing Carly sing ever again after that. Every other bartender was amazing and sang all our requests beautifully tho so I do still recommend going but just avoid Carly.

Sarah A.

Yelp
This is a cool spot; it is what you make it. We came from the strip specifically to go here and afterwards I wished we had saved our cab fare for something closer by. I'd say this is a great spot if you're in the area OR if it's a weekend. On our trip it was a Sunday and the place was dead. We were the only people who sang that didn't work there. I loved seeing the servers sing but with the place being so empty they spent the majority of the time singing when I would have preferred they were serving me a drink instead. A cool idea and a nice change of pace from the typical Las Vegas Bar. A cool spot to checkout on a weekend (I assume) or if you're in the area.

Cynthia H.

Yelp
This place is awesome. I highly reccomend it for the delicious drinks, great prices and the live piano karaoke music! The bartenders take a turn at earning the live music and earning tips. Supper cool bar. I reccomend coming early in the night around 9pm to get a good booth seat. Bar and table seating is also available.

Naiah Y.

Yelp
Worst place to go and try to sing at. We brought our own microphone and on our way out, they harassed and grabbed me by my arm and pulled me into the building when I was trying to explain that I owned my own mic. Then after they harassed me and pulled me and put his hands on me, they kicked us out and said fine get the fuck out. It is infuriating that a place like that would treat someone like that. I would never visit this place again. This is the second time we have a horrible experience. The first time they wouldn't serve us. It's ridiculous because it is suppose to be a fun bar and instead the bar tenders are rude, management is terrible. I am deeply disappointed in the way they handled tonight and this whole microphone situation. I am making sure the world knows about this because this was harassment and abuse at a first degree.

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Visiting a friend in Vegas and she wanted to go to this piano bar as she had heard good things. We were not disappointed. Live piano and people could do karaoke with live music. Also all of the servers got up to sing as well. Some really good singers in there. Very interactive and fun! Go.. you will have a great time!

Mal C.

Yelp
There's a lot of talent in this piano/ karaoke bar. It's really amazing to watch Kenny Davidsen play anything and everything requested on the keys. The bar is laid back and the vibe is supportive of those braving the stage for a song. With that said there are some really stand-out singers on staff and who wander in off Fremont Street.

Matt S.

Yelp
I hate downtown las vegas with a passion, and this is why Don't tell Mama only gets a 4 star review. The walk from the parking garage makes me feel like taking a shower , seriously the people down town are mostly nasty. End of anti down town las vegas rant. Don't tell Mama is a small karaoke bar with some very interesting people, some very talented people , and some drunk people. I would never see myself getting up and giving it ago , but I sure did enjoy watching orhers. The small bar atmosphere is nice makes you feel like your not in downtown hipster drunk faded 20 something year old vegas. Really feels more adulty and yet fun. The bar it's self probably seats 25 and they have about 20 other chair and table setups that can seat groups of 4 to 5. The alcohol is well priced for downtown and makes you want to stay. All the bartenders are also very talented singer that get up every hour or so and grace your ears with some good music. The man playing the piano was fantastic and really kept the mood going , would sit and listen to him any day of the week. One last small down side it can get warm inside and the smoke can be a bit overwhelming. I will be returning especially on nights when Bianca or Xavier are behind the bar , 2 very talented people.

Michael N Sahara G.

Yelp
Love, love, LOVE the new location. This was always our preferred go-to but the smoke was horrible for serious singers and just gross in general. The smoke-free policy is a welcome change. In a surprising and wonderful twist, they recreated the old layout (even the location of the bathrooms... talk about attention to detail!), but with an extra row of tables and generous spacing between all seating locations. The decor is perfect for the piano bar vibe, the singing bartenders are full of personality and make great hosts. All in all the always fun atmosphere has been given an elegant and healthy upgrade that only makes a great thing better. Only downside is the new location results in dramatically reduced foot traffic. For serious peeps the tourists could get annoying, but it was good for business, and it's always nice to have an audience. We'll be regular guests and do our best to support their new locations.

Jessica M.

Yelp
I love Mama's! Living in Vegas, this is one of my favorite spots! It has withstood my many Vegas phases. It is a small bar, with tables and half booths lining the wall. The paino is tucked in the corner and is slight elevated with a tiny stage area in front. During the weeknights it is fun little, quite night out and on the weekends it gets packed and rowdy! This little jewel is packed between Le Thai and Beauty Bar in the Fremont East Arts District. The bartenders here are not only master mixologist, they are also talented vocalist. Dre is the true superstar of this joint. She starts singing, the place gets slammed. She has the most incredible voice and captivates the entire crowd. Ask her to do any (and I mean ANY) song and she knocks it out of the park. (From Britney Spears, to Amy Winehouse, to Carrie Underwood). Be sure to request her four-cord song and anything Gaga. The bar employs three piano players, Spadoni, Kenny, and Robby. These guys work solely on tips (bring singles and $5s, y'all), so be sure to put "bread in their jar." The bar staff, encourages you to "shove the love" into their tip jugs (chest) and Dre takes her in her Tip Box (in her pants - trust me, she likes it). Mamas is not as popular or as well known as some of it's bigger and brighter neighbors. What is so great about this place is that it is a true local haunt. I can plan to meet a group of friends at Mamas (if you do, plan to get there early on the weekends - around 9 PM - because seating is limited) or stroll in by myself. Either way, I know I will have a great time. This place has a reputation of being a gay bar, it's not; it is VERY gay friendly. I will always and forever have a special place in my heart for Don't Tell Mama. I have amazing memories here and have mad the most amazing friends from frequenting it. My favorite drink is a White Gummy Bear (be sure to specify it as a shot), it's delicious. When you're alone And life is making you lonely, You can always go downtown... to Don't Tell Mama.

Norm K.

Yelp
I've been here for two mini-shows with the performers at the front of their small stage in front of the piano. Both times I sat at the bar with my diet Coke. I like the place, but since I'm not a drinker, I can't rate the place like others can. It's a fine venue for the reason I've been there, but it's not a destination place for me.
