"Donut City in Tucker doesn’t get fancy with the doughnut selection, opting to keep it classic with cake, glazed, and old fashioned varieties by the half and whole dozen. There’s also bear claws for dunking in a hot cup of coffee, doughnut holes, and hot breakfast croissant sandwiches and burritos, too." - Lia Picard

Love love love donut city! As soon as you walk in, the smell of egg, bacon, and cheese fills the air. The donuts are delicious (glazed twists are my fave). Prices are so affordable for such tasty donuts and breakfast foods. They also have a drive-thru although sometimes it takes a bit longer. Head to Donut City ASAP either for a donut or free bacon smells!

Kim and the team provided great service and one of the most delicious tasting donuts EVER! The gentle crunch yet soft dough is an excellent way to show your office or colleagues they are appreciated. Thanks Donut City. You have a faithful follower in me!!

Google
Really good impression on first visit. Used the drive-thru, service was friendly and quick. Even reminded us to keep a watch so as not to bump into the yellow window poles. We ordered a dozen and a half, to try all the flavors, and by the looks we were able to, with a couple standard flavors as repeats. They're really good! They also have some different texture donuts. We were surprised to find denser, almost cake like donuts in the mix. They aren't really to our taste, we prefer the softer ones, but it was a nice surprise to see that they have other varieties besides different flavors. We're thinking of ordering another next time we come. The softer ones also have this slightly buttery taste to them. The apple fritter, cinnamon bun, sugar, and denser/cake (surprise!)were our favorites. They're good warm/reheated (about 20-30sec) and the half dozen box had a cute design. Boxes were packed, but none were squished. Will definitely visit again!

Google
Great place!! Good donuts and good customer, went around 10:30 on a Saturday in case was over half empty. So get here early if you want a good selection. I got a chocolate donut and a crumb cake, both were phenomenal. There is a $3 minimum on cards.

Google
I had my first time experience trying this place. The staff are friendly and the donuts are yummy. I got there at 7:20is am on a Sunday morning and they already had their customers at the drive thru but regardless, the staff was fast on making my ham,egg cheese croissant so yummy, I will definitely come back to this place. 😋

Once in awhile, when your week is long and hard, it's time for a run to Donut City! It's worth it to my coworkers, husband, and me to pass a few other establishments to come here. The staff are all promptly willing to help, warmly smiling, yet patient if I'm having trouble making up my mind. To me, prices are very reasonable. They have a great variety. But most of all -- the DONUTS! They're so good! There's a greater variety in the a.m., but I've gotten a half or full dozen at 3:00 p.m. that tasted fresh and wonderful. Highly recommend.

Google
We went to Collard Green Cafe but a few doors down is Donut City. The have a variety of donuts and several breakfast items. I have breakfast burrito but it just Ok. We didn't have any donuts. The the service was fast and professional but we will not be going back. My wife got bagel.but she didn't like it.

Google
Donut City is one of my favorite donuts spots. It’s in a competition with Sarah’s Donuts. They both amazing and fresh. I rather stop here than Dunkin’ Donuts or Krispy Kreme. Worth the money and the freshness. This location has a drive thru was is good for people who don’t want to get out but I like to walk in and see my choices of donuts. If you want to use your card, it’s a $3 minimum purchase. Donuts aren’t expensive. The only negative is that they aren’t open once I get off work. They are worth the visit.

Yelp
Donuts here are fresh, light, delicious. Terrific variety. The sour cream crullers are as good as the apple fritters. Try the blueberry and cheesecake filled delights. Take some to your Mom.

Dionne T.

Yelp
Hmmmm. I love a French cruller. These might be crullers, but they are not the light fluffy French crullers I miss. The two women at the front helped me today, one was friendly, nice, efficient and helpful and just knew her stuff. The other was rude, ignorant, dismissive and should not be working with the public. I would go back if the second woman were not there. The donuts were not worth the hassle of the possible encounter with the second woman. Apparently they don't like money.

Yelp
I was on my way to stop by my client's office and didn't want to walk in empty handed. I saw on yelp that Donut City had good reviews and was on my way, so I decided to stop by. Upon arriving, I noticed a drive thru window so I opted to do that route for convenience. The menu is very basic and does not list any details on the types of donuts they have or anything. I asked the lady in the window if she could tell me what donuts she had. She said they're on the menu. I said no your menu does not have everything listed. She said there are too many donuts to name (LOL). I tried to go on their website and the website was not working. So I asked her okay - what are the most popular flavors? She named 3 - strawberry, glazed and something else. She wasn't being very helpful and I could tell she was getting frustrated and so was I. Plus, I was in a rush, I said okay put whatever the popular ones are and give me a box of a dozen and a box of half a dozen. I was so irritated by her lack of help! How can you not list 10 donut flavors? It's not like Willy Wonka's donut factory and you have 900 flavors! At my client's office they insisted that we try the flavors together. I'm sorry but the donuts were nothing to call home about. They tasted pretty on par with Dunkin Donuts. To me a good donut is Sublime... Krispy Kreme... Revolution Donuts... mochinut... these were nowhere near the flavor and texture of those. So, overall, I would say I do not recommend due to both service and flavor.

Kisha M.

Yelp
I made the decision to only eat donuts that were worth it, and these are definitely worth it. Super fresh and yummy. Large selection. Fair prices.

Amy W.

Yelp
Tried this for the first time today. Donuts were fresh, inexpensive ($15 for a dozen, including apple fritters too), and tasty. Service was very friendly and efficient- not at all like previous reviews have reported. I'd like to say "we'll be back" but for my waistline's sake, maybe not right away . Great spot that reminds me of Dandy donuts near Chamblee HS.

Marissa D.

Yelp
Pretty decent donuts. I enjoyed them, although my husband, who loves glazed was not especially happy with the freshness. Overall it was a good experience with customer service and the prices. Lots of variety, and I would go again. They also offer VERY inexpensive breakfast sandwiches. Multiple egg sandwich options for under $3. Great for a quick to go breakfast.

Brandon P.

Yelp
Great donut and bagel shop out on the east side of the city. Would say the donuts are a 5 star, great variety and quality donuts. Bagels sandwiches are good but wouldn't say they hit the 5 star but the combo of getting bagels and great donuts is a nice variety. Lots of bagel options. They don't list them on the menu but you can just ask.

Maia L.

Yelp
So for me, the donuts were just OK. I went on national donut day around 1 o'clock, I did not expect there to be a lot left due to the hype of the holiday, and there were still enough to choose from. I got a cinnamon roll, glazed donut, blueberry cake, and a red velvet cake. Overall the flavor just was not there in any of the flavored donuts: the cinnamon, blueberry, and red velvet. The glaze was also just OK. They were out of my fave which is the lemon-filled, but I was not intrigued enough to go back and try based off of the flavors that I tried that day. I do think that if in a pinch, I'd definitely pick up for an office event but for my personal preference, I will pass. This location was in like a stop plaza. There was plenty of free parking but the lot was kinda trashy.

Robin R.

Yelp
We REALLY enjoy the breakfast sandwiches from Donut City! So far we have only tried the croissants, but the bagels look good, too. We also want to try the burritos. We have had the donuts a couple of times and they are like most donut shops. But the sandwiches are exceptional. You can tell it is made in house to order. The egg is very well seasoned and the croissant is buttery. Our favorite is the ham cheese and egg. Wish the bacon egg and cheese had at least one more slice of bacon, but it is still good because the egg is the .

Harmoni L.

Yelp
This place has great food, don't get me wrong, but the customer service is crappy and they are too frugal. We argued over a $.25 jelly that I stated I was willing to pay for and they still tried to refuse my order. After escalating my issue to another coworker (because I couldn't understand refusing a paying customer), she finally decided to let me pay for an extra jelly. I will be taking my business else where after today!

Naa'ila M.

Yelp
Mahn... the bear claw. If that claw came to life in my mouth and became an actual bear, it tastes so good, I wouldn't care. Anything here is delish. They have sandwiches now. Your tastebuds will dance. You gotta come early. The closer it is to lunch time, the less choices you have. They are an amazing toss up between here and Krispy Kreme. Because KK's customer service is typically wack, I prefer Donut City overall.

Crystal M.

Yelp
Service. Outstanding, I am from California the shop reminds me of donuts. I used to get there always fresh always really good service. Great place to get a dozen donuts on the weekends.

Tee M.

Yelp
Donut City has the absolute best tasting, best quality donuts in my opinion. Krispy K has nothing on them. Not even close. I went very early one morning just as they were putting out their freshly made glazed donuts and they were the best I had ever had. They had a slight crisp around the edge and the glaze was still warm after driving back to my location. Even on really cold mornings the cold donuts are still very tasty. My favorites are the glazed "fluffy" donuts. The cake donuts aren't bad, just not my on my list of favorites. The Apple fritter is good but it's a little to heavy and greasy for my liking. But it's good. I'm not really into all of the flavors and colors, but I have had a few of them and they were also very tasty. I would say the best time to get them is right after they've been freshly made. So damn awesome.

Kisha C.

Yelp
I'm in love with the cinnamon and sugar doughnuts along with the red velvet they were fresh and soft I would make a visit here soon l. Customer service was good the store clerk was nice

A C.

Yelp
A great little gem with delicious, light, fluffy donuts. It's very reasonably priced. They also have good breakfast sandwiches.

M A.

Yelp
Great price Great donuts Basically you get a good value for your money. Definitely a hit

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
It's always a delight to go in to Donut City! The ladies that run the place are friendly and fast, and the variety is items always keeps you coming back! I enjoy them for the quality breakfast items - and I always order too much! (And I still eat it all!) It's also a great stop to pick up a dozen or two (donuts) for the office!

Keisha W.

Yelp
Went here on a early Saturday hoping to get some fresh tasting donuts. Nope not the case. Continue to read for more details... Location: This spot is located about 1 minutes away from Stone Mountain Park. Nestled at the corner of a shopping plaza with beautiful fresh sunflowers in the front I was excited to try this place. Inside: Inside the shop to your left are bottles drink selections, front displays all the donuts available, and above is the breakfast menu Customer Service: The employees are SUPER KIND! They made me feel welcome and I appreciated their smiles and help. Quality of Food: As a few reviewers stated these donuts are not good. Personally they tasted like old oil, stale, and I couldn't get through a mini bite. I purchased 6 and threw away all 6! Hubby hated them as well and he is a donut lover. Verdict: We will not be back! I have two stars because I appreciated the customer service and it seems family owned.

Veronica B.

Yelp
This donut shop has the best donuts. The prices are very reasonable and donuts are fresh.I will try breakfast sandwiches next time.

Nil C.

Yelp
Talk about family friendly service. I can say I haven't had one bad donut yet and don't expect to. I tried a dozen and each donut was perfect. Its not like Dunkin donuts nor is it like Krispy Kreme. It's the perfect middle donut not too sweet not too doughy. I would airy and heavenly! Go ahead get you a dozen.

Greta H.

Yelp
OMG what is not to love about donut city. The donuts are incredible and reasonably priced. We always get them when family is in town. The breakfast sandwhiches are also great. The interior is clean and the staff is super friendly. The bear claw is amazing and all the stuffed long johns are incredible. Highly reccomend! 10X better than Dunkin.

Shirley S.

Yelp
When I get donuts it's right after 6, the assortment is great and they are very fresh. Not a line that early. They are yummy!

Matthew F.

Yelp
The food is good. Had the ham, egg, and cheese croissant. Donuts are good too. Nice place to relax. Good prices too.

Mick D.

Yelp
Smack my ass and call me Sally, that may have been the best apple fritter I've had in a very long time. Perhaps ever. After a heated discussion on social media about the merits of various donuts, a friend pointed out that I didn't need to go all the way to Lexington to get a world class donut, pointing to Donut City right here in Tucker. They have a drive-up window, which these days is a good way to make me happy. The fellow inside greeted me at the window right away. I asked him for a cake donut, and an apple fritter. Now bear in mind, I am making this purchase at something like 1pm--after lunch. I'm not even hitting it when it's fresh. The cake donut is a work of art. Cake-y and somehow creamy all at the same time. Semi-crunchy outer edges around a nice, soft donut interior. All the right flavors and all the right textures. And this made me very happy. But the thing that set me over the roof was that apple fritter. About the size of my palm (which is not small), this thing rocked my face. Full of apple goodness, crunchy in all the right spots--the kind of think you can sink your teeth into with a nice cup of coffee or something. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. As I said, perhaps the best apple fritter I've ever had. I can't wait to go back with a reason to indulge some more. Holler if you're coming with.

Rain M.

Yelp
Breakfast sandwiches A+ Doughnuts A+ Service A+ Simple yet just what you need! You gotta try this place!

B M.

Yelp
The best freshly made authentic doughnuts is Metro Atlanta. I often drive 20 minutes out the way for these. Nothing like a fresh hot chocolate glazed twist doughnut.

Ira L.

Yelp
I'm not a huge donut person but my husband loved the donuts here and I decided to try. I loveeee the maple bacon donut it's so delicious and the red velvet are the 2 I've tried. Also they have really tasty breakfast croissants! They taste a lot better than what you'd get at other quick breakfast spots. They have a drive thru which is convenient and a good list of beverages. I've tried the taro tea and it was very good.

Brian S.

Yelp
Disclaimer: I am only reviewing the donuts. I have had the food there once and it wasnt all that great. I also dont eat your standard glazed donuts, so if you think Krispy Kreme is the best ever then I dont think my review will change your mind. I dont give out 5s. I believe 5s usually read like reviews that the owner wrote or had some family members write. They always seem overly-detailed and fake. I like 4s because they seem more legitimate. And yet here I am giving it a 5. This place is legit. I have been to all sorts of fancy donut shops where it costs 3 - 5 dollars each, and none of them are as good as Donut City. The blueberry cream cheese donut is one of the best donuts I have had in my entire life. Its light and flakey, and the filling is fantastic. The Boston Cream is also very good. Highly recommended. The jelly donuts arent as great. The jelly has a weird texture, but if you like the jelly then be happy because there is a lot of it. Now, I havent complimented every last little thing about this place, but I am still giving it a 5. Why? Because when I need to get donuts for a party or just want some in the morning, I can get a dozen of them for like $13. Every time I have a new person taste them, they are sold. Everyone is surprised by the price because they arent like Dunkin Donuts (dont get me wrong, I like Dunkin for what it is). The service is always good. I have never had an issue with any of the employees and they are always happy to help me out with any special requests. So yeah, this place is a 5 because there is no reason to go anywhere else.

Bonnie T.

Yelp
The blueberry filled donut might have been the best donut I've ever had - and I'm not exaggerating! Donut City is amazing and I highly recommend to anyone wanting to try a perfectly fluffy and delicious donut. My co-worker brought these in to work today and I just had to share how much I loved tasting these. Thanks, donut city!

Kari F.

Yelp
Don't let the strip plaza scare you off. The donuts are ALWAYS perfect and the staff is lovely. 10/10 recommend

Yzedin Y.

Yelp
They had some good donuts and even better prices. I went at like 3pm and they only had glazed donut holes which i got 36 and like 3 other donuts for $10 which is a better price than dunkin and they taste better. I hope to go there again earlier sometime.

Monica L.

Yelp
Employees were welcoming to my family, very nice even with our indecisiveness of which donuts to pick. The inside is open now, but there is only a few chairs available for sitting. The donuts were all delicious! Will definitely come back again for the awesome donuts and great customer service!

Libby F.

Yelp
We love the drive through option! Fantastic donuts and breakfast sandwiches. Such a great price as well!

Betsy W.

Yelp
DELICIOUS DONUTS Very fresh tasting. I can't wait to go back to get more. Thank you very much.

Erin M.

Yelp
Yummy fresh donuts here. I've also ordered the breakfast sandwiches on a croissant too and they're good. Best in the area for sure.

MD W.

Yelp
This place reminds me of RISE in Savannah, Georgia!!! I absolutely love them both... The breakfast sandwich is worth the whole 5 stars alone and then with the donuts. The maple bacon sells out before lunch, but you also can't go wrong with the Apple fritter. . My favorite breakfast sandwich is the ham, egg, & extra cheese croissant If this place will truly start your day I'm the right way!!! Highly recommend.

Steve S.

Yelp
Visited during an off season stop over of Stone Mountain. My son is a donut aficionado and this had good reviews. The donuts did not disappoint. While nothing can compare to a Kirpsy Kreme original that is not what this is. This is donuts of all kind. My son rates the Apple Fritter in his top two of all time.

Debra U.

Yelp
Who cares about the customer service just go there and get the donuts. The best I've ever eaten....so soft and fresh. Love them. I am so glad I live in South Florida because I would be there everyday. GO TO DONUT CITY....

Zewditu D.

Yelp
I had driven my this shop a few times while out and about, but never had the time to stop for donuts. While my mom was visiting, I decided to treat the two of us some donuts. There were only a few folks in the shop when I arrived, but the line grew after I ordered. So must be a pretty popular spot. I ordered assorted donuts and a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant. The donuts were nothing fancy: glazed, twist, cinnamon roll, blueberry cake, apple fritter. While I do like fancy donuts, I also appreciate a really good regular donut. Overall, I thought that the donuts were OK. My mom directly compared their apple fritter to the apple fritter from Sarah's Donuts (which we had tried maybe a few weeks before) and said that Sarah's definitely won out. We both thought that the croissant was much better. That's what I would come here for - the croissant, not the donuts. But what can I say, I love donuts - so I will probably be giving their donuts another chance sometime. :-)

Shirl S.

Yelp
Did I mention this place has the BEST ice coffee I have ever had (save my grandmothers which was home made). I mean this little local place puts Dunkin and Starbucks and all the other big chains to shame when it comes to taste and quality. I have been here a few times now and am delightfully surprised everytime. The ice coffee is rich and nutty and aromatic. It literally taste like the beans were picked and dried and roasted in the same kitchen that the coffee was prepared. The donuts are more of a yeast base than cake so they are light and fluffy and not too sweet and always fresh. The quality and consistency of the food has never wavered in all my trips here. I can't help but to compliment the staff when I patronize this place because the goods are so darn GOOD!

Nicki K.

Yelp
Donut city is located in a plaza that is connected to Sam's Club. What's great about this donut shop is that it's open 7 days a week until 5 pm. Most donut shops are closed on Sunday and/or closed early. It is comparable to Sarah Donut in terms of donuts offered, even breakfast croissants. There is ev3n a deuce through and offer boba. Service is no issue. Attentive but not overly friendly which is okay in my book. Just got a dozen donuts of original glazed, chocolate, and red velvet. Took it home and did a taste test. Donuts were yummy. Is it better than Sarah? Nope. But it's still really good. Love the soft interior when you bite into it. Will come back. 88/2018

Megan H.

Yelp
If you love donuts, this is the place to go. The selection is incredible and quality is consistently fantastic. My favorite is the blueberry cream cheese donut. My husband is a huge fan of their wide selection of cake donuts. They are all light and fluffy and not too sweet. Absolutely the best donuts anywhere nearby.

Donnie B.

Yelp
First time there. Just got a box of assorted donuts for the office. They were a hit, so I will have to return sometime and try some of the other things on the menu.

McKinley A.

Yelp
Brought these for my turn at work donut day - big hit! Will be back for my next donut day!

Sunmin L.

Yelp
Their donuts are delicious!! Even on the second day! Due to COVID-19, the employees were wearing masks and they had plexiglass at the registers. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu when we are in the area.

WillReview U.

Yelp
YUM! These Donuts are Everything! Nice fluffy and delicious. The apple fritter is one of the best I've had. Even the plain glazed donut was good. I was not too impressed by the flavor of the red velvet donut but the consistency was still nice. The donut pocket with the lemon and blueberry inside is a must try! I only hoped to try the donut with the bacon on top. However, By the time I got there, the only part of that donut left was the bacon crumbs on the tray. LOL! You have to get there early for that one! There are so many varieties. I will definitely be back to try them all. Also, they offer a variety of drinks and specialty coffees, as well as breakfast sandwiches and a Philly cheesesteaks. I have not tried any of those yet but I defiantly will!

Gretel Y.

Yelp
Five reasons to choose them as stated on their website: 1. Unique Taste 2. Professional 3. Affordable 4. Over 20 Years Experience 5. Family Owned and Operated Unique taste - sure. Plenty of options and flavors to choose from. They also serve breakfast items like egg bagels, croissants, and burritos starting at 5am. I tried the chocolate chip filled, glazed yeast, glazed sourdough, bear claw, chocolate, and maple cake donut. I think the lady threw in a cinnamon roll, because I don't recall ordering that. Even though I am not a fan of cake donuts, theirs was soft and moist as well as their yeast ones. I think what sets them apart from other donut shops - not greasy! Sweet but not overwhelming. I was actually hoping their maple would be sweeter Professional - check. The lady at the front greeted me as soon as I entered. She was patient with me as I took my time to decide, and she answered all of my questions. Affordable - check. I ordered half a dozen and my total + tax was only $5.25!!! I am so used to paying double if not triple that for gourmet donuts. Over 20 Years Experience - yet to find out, but from the menu options and the look and taste of their donuts, I would totally believe it! Family Owned and Operated - check. Although I didn't see or meet the owners, I have heard from friends that that it is indeed the case. I only saw two people working. The shop itself is small, but has enough space for people to have a quick bite. Five great reasons to check them out!

Kim U.

Yelp
The best donuts ever! They make them everyday right in the store. Come early to get the best selection because the will close early if the sell out.

Ann S.

Yelp
The service was awesome but I felt like the donuts had a strange after taste. The raised glaze was nice and fluffy. Maybe it was me. I just don't know. Very cute shop with friendly staff.

Ms. Nita M.

Yelp
Very good donut shop and very consistent with supply and taste. Reasonably priced, friendly staff, and made to order breakfast sandwiches. Only docked a star because their coffee isn't my fave, but that's ok because they make up for it with their donuts.
