Family-owned since the 1980s and still a morning ritual for locals. Frequently highlighted by Visit Rutherford, it’s where fresh, classic donuts meet small-town hospitality.

I always come here to get sausage biscuits. They are soft and fluffy. Today I came and I got a biscuit that was clearly hard and just didn’t look good at all. I spoke up (as any paying customer should) and told the worker with the mustache that the biscuit APPEARED to be hard and burnt. He took it upon himself to correct me and say it wasn’t “burnt”. The most abhorrent behavior I’ve ever experienced from an employee here. How can you tell a customer what their perception is based on how your company normally prepares the food? Preposterous. Based on this experience, I won’t go back. I’ve spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars at Donut Country since moving to Murfreesboro. I won’t go back and I will no longer take family members when they come to visit. I guess the employee isn’t privy to taking corrective actions when a customer asks for a simple request. He could have easily apologized like most employees are trained to do, and fixed the very apparent issue. This happened around 9:25am on July 31st.

I’ve had Donut Country many times as coworkers or customers have brought them in and their glazed donuts are excellent! For the first time ever (I’ve lived here 7 years) I decided to go through the drive through. It was nearly 20 minutes with 3-4 cars ahead of me and I still had to pull off and wait for my sandwich. The bacon, egg and cheese biscuit was extremely greasy, but decent and the hot chocolate was AWFUL. Also, even waiting for the cocoa to cool, it was molten lava boiling hot, so if you have kids you’ll need to wait 15-20 minutes to let that cool. The sprinkled donuts didn’t taste fresh. If this had been my first ever donut country experience - it would be a one star review, but like I said, I’ve had the donuts so many times and they’re typically excellent! I will say to stick to the donuts but don’t order the food/ drinks.

Drove out of our way to hit this donut store today from Nashville down to Huntsville to be pretty much VERY DISAPPOINTED. I hardly ever post negative reviews if you look at my history but it was not the experience I was expecting. The young man at the check out refused to give us a box even though we told him we were driving a long distance home and I wanted at least 4 donuts. Ok - fine - they cost money - I can understand. So we moved on to ordering the donuts. My hubby got the churro donut and I made the mistake of getting the tiramisu one. His was fresh and decadent. Mine was stale and quite hard. It has to be at least a day old. I ate two bites and threw the rest away. Waste of money. After that concept of getting a box became so hard, I just ordered two donuts instead of the 4 or more I was expecting. Definitely NOT worth the drive out of the way. Not sure we'll be back even if we do go this way to hit Blue Coast Mexican Grill. Now that was amazing as normal!

I’ve been watching it go downhill every year. Open 24/7, but at 7:45.pm (and called 30 minutes ahead) they give you old, dried donuts; and when asked to glaze them they say they can’t. And then tell you they don’t have any more glazed donuts until midnight??

Google
Amazing donuts! So fluffy and delicious. They are pretty big and beyond affordable for the size. The apple fritter and cinnamon roll were bigger than my head so be warned! They are absolutely incredible, and I will for sure be ordering again in the future.

Google
This place is such a gem! The atmosphere is like a retro, quaint diner. The donuts are seriously the best my husband and I have ever had! We tried the zebra and red velvet donuts. We also got a breakfast sandwich this time too, and it was delicious.

Google
Highly recommend trying this place out. Great service. Very friendly. Awesome donuts. They also offer other food items. The sausage biscuit is made to order.

Google
Stopped by Donut Country since it was right next good to Greek Gyros and we happened to be grabbing dinner there. My sister and her husband had come to get some donuts prior and said they were good. I was surprised how many employees they had working when we visited, looked like a party happening in the back. Yet the front case wasn’t really stocked with donuts so I figure we came after they had somewhat sold out for the day. The back case had a good amount of flavors to choose from though! I got the Apple fritter and my husband got a cream cheese donut. Not too bad. I usually like my donuts to have a thick layer of the icing on it but it was pretty good. The donut is literally the size of 3-4 regular donuts so it is huge and enough to share!

Yelp
Excellent donuts and they hit the spot before a long day. We walked in and were blown away by the big the crowd inside, but after tasting the donuts, we get it now! We got a dozen to try some different things and each light and fluffy donut was better than the next. The staff was nice and gave us some recommendations for our first time. We'll definitely be coming back soon!

Yelp
Hands down the best donut place we've found in all of middle Tennessee so far! Coming from California where the donut culture is strong, we'd been disappointed to only have Dunkin' Donuts or similar locations to choose from. A friend recommended we try donut country and our minds were blown. Seriously so good. We went in October, so we had some fall favorites, like pumpkin. They were so fluffy and pillow-y. And you could tell they were fresh. We didn't eat in the establishment, but went in to get the donuts. The person helping us was polite, but not talkative and the facility itself appeared to be very clean. There are tables and chairs for people to sit and enjoy their donuts inside if they wanted.

Yelp
I will never have enough good things to say about DuCo!!!! Have to stop Always super fresh donuts. Love the apple fritter and chocolate twists!
google avatar

Gordon T.

Yelp
Service was good even tho a little slow. I gave 3 stars because the donut I had was very good. But I ordered a ham egg and cheese biscuit bc someone told me they had good biscuits. I expected country ham but what I got was sandwich meat ham. The biscuit was fresh out of the microwave so not flaky and fresh. It wasn't bad to eat but definitely didn't expect a microwaved sandwich meat biscuit

Yelp
So good! Glazed and chocolate were perfection. The holes were also great- we enjoyed them with our family

Yelp
If you are a donut lover, you have found the best donuts in the Nashville area here. 1. Size. Huge. 2. Donut batter. Classic. 3. Filling ratio. Overfilled. You'll get filling in every bite. 4. Open 24 hours a day. 5. Value. Fair pricing instead of $10 per donut. 6. Favs. Dutch crumble. Mocha. Bavarian cream. Lemon. Apple - the choices are literally endless. 7. Ambiance. Who cares. It's a donut shop. It's not called Gluten Free Avocado Toast Country for a reason. Come to eat. 8. Great staff. They will point you to the best sellers. 9. Location is tight and a bit tricky to get in so be careful your first time navigating the parking and entry situation especially at night. There is parking and a drive thru. 10. If you are within 30 minutes of this place, it's worth passing DD and KK to get here. These are the real deal.

Linda H.

Yelp
Delish...donuts are incredible, and the service is friendly. Pick up a few dozen, as you will want one box for yourself!
google avatar

Logan J.

Yelp
It's a good donut but didn't get that wow stand out flavor. We also came a bit later into the morning so variety was limited. I'll be back to try again when we can see full selection. Stand out we're the donut holes!! Staff is super friendly and even added we should come back early morning for a better selection.

Yelp
Love love love donut country! Not sure why I haven't made a review already. We love going to donut country, some of the best donuts in Murfreesboro. It makes me very happy to see they are 24/7 too because a lot of the dessert places in the area close wayyyy to early imo. 10/10
google avatar

Stephanie V.

Yelp
This was our first time trying donut country. We got an apple fritter, a sausage biscuit, a ham biscuit, a bacon egg and cheese biscuit and an everything bagel with sausage egg and cheese. The fritter was dense and dry. The biscuits were pre-made and the sandwiches were microwaved until they were tough and chewy. One small slice of prepackaged thinly sliced ham. We decided to get a glazed donut to see if maybe we had just ordered the wrong menu items. It was okay- just average. The staff was friendly but we were extremely disappointed with the food. Sadly we won't be back.

Yelp
Such an amazing variety of donuts from glazed to "Homer donuts" to red velvet cake. The options are elegant and flavorful. The owners are so nice and always have amazing people serving and helping. They get to know their customers like family. Store is very welcoming and like an old school diner.
google avatar

Lori G.

Yelp
If you like raspberry lemonade I urge you to try the raspberry lemonade donut. It is fabulous! It's a raspberry filled donut with lemon icing! Only around for a limited time!
google avatar

Thomas G.

Yelp
Service was great. Doughnuts were totally stale. NOT MADE FRESH. FROZEN LIKE "DUNKIN"... very disappointed. Get fresh doughnuts at doughnut Palace. Made fresh Daily!!!

Yelp
DONUTS This is the place. Do yourself a favor next time you have a sweet tooth, go to the Country. All kidding aside, this place has great donuts. Don't forget the milk, coffee, or other drink. YUM

Eva D.

Yelp
They are always sold out of what I would like to try (Boston crème/bavarian), in the last three times I've driven over, so I've never been able to actually try their donuts. By 10ish am this morning they were not only sold out again but for some reason told me they had one left and sold me a completely different donut than what I asked for. I ended up throwing it away as soon as I realized as that's not what I ordered as it's not something I like at all. It was a Twinkie type deal. Being sold out is one thing, but to let me buy a donut and get excited only to find that I paid for something I don't like at all... well that actually sucks. (Just because it's chocolate frosted on the outside doesn't mean I'll just be ok with a completely different filling, you know?) Making, selling, and knowing donuts is literally their business. So disappointing. I believe I've finally given up on trying to get a donut there.

Yelp
I was so happy to be in the area and make it to Donut Country. This happened to be on a Friday evening around seven. The shop is open 24 hours which was good, but there was not much to choose from. The problem with 24 hour shops is you never know if or when the donuts are fresh and the amount or selection of donuts that will be available. The whole process is a gamble if you randomly come in the afternoon. They just happened to be putting out a fresh batch of strawberry donuts as I was leaving but I missed it. I took my donuts home to eat later. It wouldn't have mattered if I ate them immediately because they were not fresh to begin with. Fresh or not, these donuts were not the best. They were to dense for my liking and the flavor was sub par. However, I had cake donuts and the raised donuts could have been much better.

Jack S.

Yelp
How hard is it to get an order correct for 2 donuts? I guess the attitude is kinda like Free Gift with Purchase.
google avatar

Josh T.

Yelp
I can't say enough great things about Donut Country! The staff is always incredibly kind, and the donuts are consistently delicious. I stop by more often than I'd like to admit, haha!
google avatar

Traci D.

Yelp
Always amazing. Blueberry cake donuts are the BEST. Other cake and yeast donuts also super yummy. Fun seasonal offerings. A local treasure.
google avatar

Jay C.

Yelp
Fantastic donuts, great service and reliable! Every day is a good day with donut country!
google avatar

Johnny S.

Yelp
Donut country is not what it use to be. Maybe because there has been so many donut shops that have opened in the area since. This use to be one my go to places. The donuts here are too heavy for me. Every time I order 6-12 donuts, about half does not get eaten. I will have to just order 2-3 donuts from now on if I want to try them again.
google avatar

Chloe W.

Yelp
Donut Country is a staple of Murfreesboro restaurants! Open 24/7, their low prices and fast service make DOCO the perfect little donut shop whether you're grabbing breakfast or enjoying a late night treat. The strawberry frosted, maple bacon, and bavarian crème donuts are my favorite, although you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Their lunch counter sandwiches are great as well.

S M.

Yelp
Had great donuts, service, and a delicious ham and cheese sandwich. Stopped while traveling based on reviews, and was very happy with our choice. Steady stream of customers while we were there, plus a bunch of called in orders were ready for pick up.
google avatar

Mia M.

Yelp
In my opinion the best time to go is when the donuts are fresh! Always quick. It's a cute, southern donut place that I'd recommend

LaMont J.

Yelp
Outstanding donuts with great flavors. Very moist and tasty. Service was terrific and quick even though there was a line
google avatar

Nate M.

Yelp
If you don't live around here, it'a worth the trip to Murfreesboro! This is the place for classic, delicious hardy donuts. Each one was incredibly fresh and tasted amazing...my favorites were the apple fritter and the Dutch Crunch donut. What more could you ask for? Donuts any time of the day, Donut Country has you covered with their 24 hour donut offerings. Bonus, they also have a drive through!
google avatar

Asia A.

Yelp
I only had donuts, but they were delicious!! The Krispy Kreme in Murfreesboro always lets me down, so I've been looking for an alternative. The flavors and textures of these donuts are top-notch! I'll be back for sure!

Alexis M.

Yelp
Great service & the best donuts & donut holes in town. Been getting 2-3 dozen donut holes 2-3 times a week for the past two weeks lol loveeeee them. Great staff & atmosphere with great food!

Maggie P.

Yelp
Zachary is amazing and took such great care of us! Amazing staff and a Murfreesboro staple!

Mark C.

Yelp
Reminds me of Ralph's in Cookeville. Helpful, friendly employees and great variety of donuts to choose from. Blueberry donut was a little dry, but red velvet was perfect!
google avatar

Zach S.

Yelp
This locally owned cafe is a must visit for locals and visitors alike. This was the first time we had been, and the staff was so friendly, helpful, and welcoming from the moment we walked in the doors until we left. They make all of their donuts from scratch, which can been seen behind the counter. They have a variety of donut flavors, pastries, and drinks readily available. The glazed twist was soft, thick, and tasted fresh. They are open 24/7 and even have a drive-through. Donut Country is a Murfreesboro staple.
google avatar

Allison F.

Yelp
A solid spot for all of the donut classics and ginormous apple fritters. On the day we came there was also a very large donut in the shape of a foot with a flip flop. Very clever, Donut Country!
google avatar

Jasmine C.

Yelp
First time visiting and I've heard nothing but great things, so I had to come and try. These were some of THE BEST donut holes I've had in a long time. I highly recommend... and they are 24 hours!
google avatar

Druscilla F.

Yelp
Stopped here on a road trip. Service was great, we got there right before they started production for the second half of the day so our donuts were from earlier but they were still okay. I wish the maple had more a maple flavor but the filling was good, the texture was there and when the service is good it always makes the food taste just a little better. I'll probably give them another try on my next trip through Murfreesboro when they just make the donuts
google avatar

Susan J.

Yelp
Great fresh donuts, parking is tight. Lots of donut choices. My only problem was that I asked for Long John's, unfilled, and sadly, got home and found that they were custard filled. No big deal, but not what I ordered. I would go here again.
google avatar

Ed B.

Yelp
Tried Donut Country for the first time a few weeks ago about 10:00 am. Donuts/pastries were stale
google avatar

Liz H.

Yelp
Wow!! Donuts were fresh and so delicious! The staff was friendly, wide selection of donuts, and reasonably priced. Can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Makenzie Y.

Yelp
What do I even say about my hometown donut shop??? In my bio it says "donut pro"...well the reason I am is because I'm constantly looking for a place as good as this one in other cities. Donut Country cannot be beat, especially if you look at the total of everything about this place: the atmosphere, the inside, the costumer service, the donut taste and quality, the list goes on and on. This place has been there for me through many celebrations, heart aches, hunger, and just plain old days. It comfortable, cozy, friendly, and just there for catch-ups with friends. When they close in the winter for a short period of time, it is the worst of times truly. haha There donuts cannot be beat. My FAVORITE is the Buttercream with Sprinkles, but I also love the Dutch Crumb (cinnamon and powdered sugar cake donut) DOCO 4 LIFE! The end.
google avatar

Sage J.

Yelp
went there this morning for a breakfast sandwich and donut, PHENOMENAL and it's in the same price range as dunkin' donuts. 10x the quality food and service.
google avatar

Robert S.

Yelp
My go-to for donuts in Murfreesboro. Local, friendly, with a nice selection of fresh donuts. The apple fritters and plain cake donuts are my favorite, along with a cup of coffee. Sandwiches are also available for anyone seeking something more substantial.
google avatar

Kimmy S.

Yelp
Ohh my yumness!!! I love the cake donuts here, especially the Blueberry ones! They're super delicious! Along with the maple bacon donuts! Yum! Will definitely be back here when I'm in town!
google avatar

Don B.

Yelp
Simply the best donuts around! Lots of choices. Never disappoints and is open 24 hours a day. Frosted red velvet cake donut is probably my favorite but they're all delicious!
google avatar

Danys C.

Yelp
My absolute favorite place to get donuts! They are always fresh and delicious!! I got the custard filled donut and it was so good! I also got to try their specialty donut which was a key lime pie and it was surprisingly good! We also tried the chicken salad crosswind sandwich.
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
Love this place !!!! The donuts are always fresh they have a great variety and I love how they have different flavor donuts often !

Abrielle I.

Yelp
The service was quick and friendly, and I LOVE that they're open 24 hours. I don't usually like donuts all that much but I'm absolutely obsessed with the ones here. Plus, I ordered a fountain Sprite and it was literally the singular most delicious fountain Sprite I have ever had. It's also such a cute storefront, and I love the vibes. I am a Donut Country convert till the day I die now.
google avatar

Heather J.

Yelp
I went to Donut Country for the first time the other day and I am so impressed. I love being able to go through a drive thru, and the staff was extremely friendly. I asked for a dozen donuts and had them pick for me and they were all great. I love the lemon poppyseed donut, but you really can't beat this glazed donut. SO good. I can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Kate D.

Yelp
Always fresh and delicious doughnuts! We have been going to donut county for years. We have always had great friendly customer service.
google avatar

Madeleine L.

Yelp
Love Donut Country! Tasty and almost cake like donuts. My personal favorite is maple bacon - can't beat it! They have a lot of different flavors to try.
google avatar

Michael H.

Yelp
A donut by which all other donuts should be judged. Get anything, try everything, it's all freaking delicious. Plus they are usually open 24/7 so throw out the old archetype that donuts are for breakfast only and give them a try the next time your sweet tooth leaves you craving something at midnight.
