Picture this:
it's a Sunday morning, the seventh day of the social distancing. A middle age woman (me) was waken by a doorbell ring @ 9:22am. She came down wondering why would any human distracting her sleep by being "social closeness" to her existence.
Then it turned out, it's a donut delivery from her boyfriend! How sweet, she thought. Then she couldn't help by worrying the delivery person was only 3 feet away...
So, since I am awake earlier than I participated, and have relatively nothing to do. I thought I'd share each donut I ate with y'all!
1) Old fashion:
this one is amazing! My initial reaction was: wow, it's a big/tall old fashion! When i sank my teeth into the cloud like texture, i was sold! The softness was out of this world, and it's my fav in this delivered box.
2) Chocolate covered cream:
the cream and chocolate glaze were so good together. I removed some glaze because donut day is very generous with glazing their donuts. Which is good for the customers, but bad for ppl with low sugar tolerance.
3) Chocolate bar:
the bread height wasn't as impressive as the previous donuts, but it result a perfect bite size. Makes it the easier one to eat.
4) Frosted cake:
it's soft, moist and has a hint of maple. I enjoyed it since it's less sweet than others.
5) Plain cake:
it's slight crunchy on the outside and is moist in the inside. It also has a nice maple fragrance in the cake, and i really enjoyed it. It's my second fav. in this box.
6) Dutch crunch:
it's biggest donut in this box, and oh it really was crunchy! Every bite was crunchy, and to hear the sound travel from your mouth to the ears are oddly satisfying... However, I stopped after the first bite, because I am starting to feel the sugar rush by now...
Just FYI:
have been cutting down sugar, salt and fat for years, so my personal preference reflects that.
Donut day isn't o e of those fancy donut shops that charges you $5/donut. It's a old fashion shop that serves delicious/solid choice donuts. Which i prefer.
By shopping here, you are also supporting a local business. So if you get a chance, you should drop by and give it a try!
