Donut Hole

We were at Donut Hole this weekend as our hotel was right next door and it was great! We arrived and there was a long line so we’re worried it was going to be a long wait. Luckily it only took about 10 minutes. You just have to stay in line as they don’t have a waitlist. We were sat and ordered the Super egg sandwich and the Western omelette. We both had coffee to drink. I don’t drink coffee on a regular basis and it was good for me but my husband does and said it tasted like water. Other than that we had great service and food was hot and delicious. Definitely recommend.

It is all that and certainly worth the hype. Loved everything got donuts to go fresh great assortment and one of the biggest things they pretty much had everything in stock on the shelf. The only thing they ran out of was Apple fritters. The breakfast was Sensational compared to are absolute favorite breakfast of all time. Staff was courteous clean Pleasant environment all the workers seem to be busy and working closely together. Loved it, loved it, love that we will be back thank you.

What's not to love? Donuts so delicious looking and huge!!! Apple Fritter, biggest i ever seen. We ordered breakfast and it did not disappoint. Chopped steak was amazing, hasbrowns crispy and the buttermilk biscuits we soft and yummy. Good size too! My husband has Western omelet and he loved it! Good portions, could hardly finish. Hope to visit again!

I need more stars!!! 🌟 Waited about 6 minutes to be seated. We had a variety of food. The best was "crab benedict." If you are craving some crab - omg! Yum yum yum! The chicken fried steak was good. The grilled chicken sandwich was on the dry side. A little overcooked. Omelet was big and filling. Cinnamon apples were tasty, too! The chicken and waffle was super good. Not too much breading on the chicken and the waffle was fluffy! We got donuts on the way out. I was disappointed. The outside.of the donut was "tough" like it was a day old or over-fried. Others in the group also had same reaction. UPDATED: day after! We came again! Less than 24 hours later! I HAD to have the Crab Benedict! Others had the chicken salad, which had pineapple in it. Different and good! Short stack of 2 massive pancakes. We are all full! Definitely recommend! Definitely want to come again for the crab hollandaise!

Our food was delicious. Very down-home, nothing super fancy! We ordered the eggs Benedict and the Super Egg with Bologna. Highly recommend! They also have a decent selection of fresh made donuts and other bakery items including pies, but can sell out quickly during season!

A nice atmosphere with friendly staff and excellent service. The menu offered a variety of diverse choices and our food was very flavorful. It is a popular choice among the locals and tourists. Due to its popularity, it can get quite busy, especially during peak hours, so it’s a good idea to plan ahead and expect a bit of a wait. But it is well worth the wait!

We had breakfast here & ordered a dozen assorted doughnuts to go. Service was great and the staff was very friendly. My omelet, hash browns & toast we're amazing. The doughnut I had later was just as good. You can't go wrong eating here, I'll have to try their lunch next visit.

Got there at 6:30 am, not busy yet. Server was great, and food portions were huge, biscuit are fresh. However when it got busy & were ready to go, the server got slammed with tables, and we had to wait for our bill for about 15 mins. I tried signaling her, looking at her many times & she kept walking past. Finally after just bluntly saying "Can we have our bill please?" She was nice, but overwhelmed. Then went to pay at register and the cashier says "Your supposed to pay at that register!" I said "I didn't know but we're also getting doughnuts, she says "Its fine, I'll just do it here! "(begrudgingly). I told her nevermind, don't about it. That was it for me. Food was good, regretfully won't be back. 😞

I love DH. The best donuts in Destin or in that area. I may be bias but they are just that good and I make it a point to stop by anytime that I am in the panhandle. The donuts are fresh, service is great and the restaurant is always clean. The best part it is that they have a lot of windows so there is plenty of natural lighting.

We came here on a weekday morning and it was packed. There was a line out the door to get seated (but still easy to park in their private lot) so luckily we were just there to get donuts and pastries, which has a separate line that was much shorter. We waited in this for a few minutes, but were able to glance at their large selection of items. The were all out of the chocolate cake with chocolate glaze, but had everything else we wanted and the staff was patient as we made our decision. Some of the unique ones we enjoyed were the nutella donut, the peanut butter donut and the key lime filled. Other than those, we got the red velvet, bavarian, and a couple of varieties of chocolate. It all tasted fresh and were a decent size. I even reheated a few a couple of days later and it tasted great. I hope to dine in here one day although there will probably be a wait.

Impeccable service. So friendly. Speedy. Communicative and attentive. I got the pecan pancakes. 3 massive pancakes. Fun warm syrup. I think you can get another pancake and be just fine. This was the most expensive but I couldn't really taste the sweet potato much. The western omlette was my favorite of the dishes. So warm and thick. Well made. Donuts were just ok. The peanut butter cream wasn't exciting. Coconut chocolate was tasty.

We stopped in for takeout and ended up eating in the car on our way home from vacation. The donut selection is huge, and everything looked so good, it was tough to choose! All of the donuts we tried were good, but the sour cream donut was the standout. It had a rich, buttery flavor, a moist cake texture, and just the right amount of sweetness. Next time, we'll definitely grab several of those. The other donuts were tasty too, but they were on the larger side and a bit doughy, probably would've been perfect if they were warm. Despite the place being really busy, the line moved quickly and service was friendly. Overall, we'd definitely recommend stopping in for donuts and coffee!

I've seen this place all over TikTok with crazy lines forming before they open. I stopped by at 1 PM, figuring they'd be out of donuts, but they had everything except red velvet. I ordered a chocolate-covered devil's food donut, and it was so fresh probably one of the best I've ever had. I'm just confused about why people line up if the donuts are still available in the afternoon. I definitely recommend coming here, but I'm not sure I'd wait in a long line.

Great breakfast spot to satisfy all of your morning needs! Just visit, you will not be disappointed. There is this huge breakfast platter that you can share. There are other breakfast items, as well as donuts. A very popular spot, but they get you in and out with great service. Very family friendly, come dressed for a day at the beach or fall in after church.

During our beach trip to Santa Rosa Beach, FL we stopped at the Donut Hole (bakery as well) for breakfast! The food was delicious, I ordered pancakes, crab Benedict and hashbrowns soooo good! All of my family enjoyed their meals (it was 8 of us)! The service was good and it was very busy, a packed house! We only waited for 15 minutes for a table, it was a beautiful day on a Saturday morning, we wanted to get a good meal in before heading to the beach! We will most definitely return on our next trip! I highly recommend this spot!!! Has its on parking lot (pretty huge).

The Donut Hole is a Destin icon. I always feel like I need to visit at least once per visit to Destin. This time, it was a box to go on our way home. We got a variety, because the plan was to bring to my husband what we didn't eat. Several cake varieties including devils food with coconut, sour cream and others. Then glazed and bear claw. Summary. It's iconic but honestly not the best donuts. I'd prefer parlour next time!

11.5.24: Thank you to the super friendly staff here! We literally buzzed in & out b/c it was late. My friend bought donut holes & I bought a T-shirt. The donut holes were just ok, nothing remarkable. The shirt kicks a** & love the design/slogan. I'd love to buy/try the Cake Donuts next time I'm in town....

Very disappointed in the not so fresh famous key lime pie . Very dry and not key lime flavored at all . I even asked the lady if it was fresh and she said yes . Very disappointed

We stopped by for a quick dessert and were excited as there appears to be a lot of great reviews. We were pretty disappointed by the desserts here. Ordered a slice of coconut cake and key lime pie. The key lime pie tasted like condensed milk with very mild lime flavor. The coconut cake was slightly better, but just yellow cake and icing. It smelled heavily of grease inside the building. The service wasn't great. We wanted to order to go and it took a while to get waited on even though there were very few people in the restaurant.

Great staff! Was able to accommodate our party of 10 for bachelorette trip. The service was great and food was delicious. Cute breakfast place and felt very "beachy"!

Delicious donuts, friendly service and good vibes. We didn't dine in, only got to-go donuts. Everything we got was good. We even got a shirt for $27. We got red velvet, glaze, maple, key lime, chocolate sprinkles, & Dutch crumb. The red velvet & dutch crumb were my faves! They have a parking lot & plenty of spaces.

We just walked out of Another Broken Egg Cafe due to not being seated pleasantly or even politely. Our hostess slammed our tableware/napkin roll up on top of a table. We walked out! We are locals and hope they don't need much business from us during the off season! We walked into the Donut Hole down the street. We were greeted by Rene (pronounced Rainey, male server). He greeted us, seated us, served us, packed up our leftovers we wanted to take home and was swift, courteous, everything on our order was perfectly cooked. They were swamped, as usual, and he is an example of what servers should be like! We will be back, requesting Rene!

This place is always a 100 out of 10. The omelette was enough for 2, grits were incredible. My wife gave me a slice of her Bacon, again incredible. If you're in Destin...you have to eat here and take some sweets home with you!!!! We're buying a KeyLime pie to take home. And it isn't Called the Donut Hole for nothing...there grrrrreat!

I love their donuts! Key lime filled. Plain cake. Vanilla Angel. Coconut. Maple frosted. It's hard to make a bad choice. I like the way they have two separate lines for donuts-to-go people and breakfast dine-in people.

Very very busy! But I sat at the bar and the server was very fast and attentive. The bagel I got wa great and best hash browns I've had. Very good pricing too and great donuts!

5 service - Rainy "the guy from Boston"made the time there great. He's loud, fun and friendly! We enjoyed our eggs Benedict, steel cut oats, fruit and side of bacon. It was great food and very large portions! The Donut bar was fun! Try the Strawberry Angel if you have a sweet tooth and love donuts it's a fun filled donut. Haha... We bought a 1/2 dozen of mixed flavors donuts for the kids back home. Minus a for no hostess. For a First timer like me, I was very confused what door to use and unclear how the restaurant chooses to seat people for dining. Suggestions is a hostess, but it's not enough to make me leave but definitely room for improvement.

We always make sure we stop by the donut hole when in this area! Everything about this place is fabulous. Rainy our waiter was exceptional, he was running circles around the entire restaurant and super duper pleasant! He served our coffee and sweet tea right away. Then took our orders, everything came out promptly and perfectly prepared. The food was delicious and yes, we did get donuts to go AND an entire Key Lime Pie for our shrimp dinner we prepared the following day. Love going to this area & visiting some of our regular restaurants & this is one of them for breakfast!

We did a walk in/out order. 1dzn doughnuts and a dzn bag of holes. They were good, but I would call the doughnuts average cake doughnuts. With that said, I'd like to come back and sit down to eat, the food being delivered to tables looked very good! It was a nice little establishment with a nice vibe.

Menu was huge and it is primarily breakfast items. Biscuits were great texture and the sausage gravy to pair was a great addition. BIG portions! The donuts and cake were also fantastic!

For breakfast in this area, this is no substitute. They have two locations....get there early enough and you won't have to wait. Even if you do have to wait, they do a great job of flipping tables quick and your wait shouldnt be long. Food portions are ample, and super tasty. Get a coffee mug! They have great mugs that hold heat very well, and are comfortable to hold.

I was very excited to try this place. We bought a burger, patty melt, and a dozen variety of donuts. The burger meal was pretty tasty, the patty melt seemed a bit dry, it definitely could have used some more sauce. The donuts were good, but nothing too impressive. I would probably come back for some donuts if I'm in the area but wouldn't make the drive just to get them. The customer service was very good, the employees were very nice.

Great breakfast they serve. Such a very busy place with a small wait even right after they open. Donuts are done off the best I've ever had. Best bacon too.

While the diner area looks amazing, my review is only for donut carryout. Quick and easy stop to grab some delicious donuts. The staff was very helpful and patient. There was quite a big display of donut options to choose from, even on a Saturday morning. The old fashioned sour cream was top notch. They offer beverages and self prep coffee area. Like the option of purchasing their cute merch like hats and coffee mugs!

I've been getting donuts from here for years. They are always fresh and they have a nice selection available of both yeast and cake donuts. For the area I'd say these are the best donuts I've tried. My personal favorites are Boston cream and cookies and cream. Their Boston cream donut has the perfect custard filling and their cookies and cream is filled with a filling that reminds me of the white Oreo cream. I'd definitely order both of them again and rate them as a 5. Other donuts I've enjoyed are their glaze and devils food! Both are good and fresh. As for their breakfast food it's pretty standard. They offer eggs Benedict, omelets, French toast and etc. I've tried their Benedict and it was good, on par with other breakfast foods I've had from other places. I just feel like the donuts are the star of this place and they are what you should order. As for the environment, it can get packed and hard to find a table at certain peak hours. But it's perfect for groups up to 6 and very family friendly! I also always appreciate the friendly service and am looking forward to stopping by when I visit again. Definitely check them out!

We go on vacation every July in 30a and discovered donut hole a few years back. They have great foods for breakfast and brunch but my favorite is their homemade corned beef hash. This is not one of those in the can type. This is really corned beef with home fried potatoes. I usually get fired eggs and toast, coffee is great. Their coffee have some good kick. Try their donuts too, they're amazing, it makes your day very special after eating one. Amazing service all the time, very friendly staff but they do get busy fast. Restaurant itself is great, clean, and they have games at the back like corn joke by the garden

This mom-and-pop style breakfast spot in Santa Rosa was the perfect place for us to stop on our way out of town after a beach trip. Although the place was packed with people, and it's seat yourself, a waitress assisted us in finding a clean table. The menu is the standard fare - biscuits, hashbrowns, eggs, and bacon, so I was pleasantly surprised to see the 'Sunrise Bagel' listed on their specials board. With a choice of a plain or everything bagel, the bagel comes with a fried egg, bacon, tomato, and avocado. The bagel and the fresh-squeezed orange juice were a great way to start my day!

Excellent breakfast from the Western Omelette to 2 Eggs biscuits and gravy and all the trimmings; you can't go wrong with The Donut Hole. The shredded hash browns are top notch. Don't forget to get some fried dough on the way out. Get here early and expect a short wait. The service is always as good as it gets.

Donut Hole is a staple every time we come to the beach. It's so much food for cheap! We went at 1:30 on Sunday, 7/30/23. There was no wait! Either go early or go late for no wait! I wish I remembered our waitress's name. She was wonderful. I get the Egg and Cheese with Biscuit and Hash Browns. Delicious! We all split the Chocolate Chip Pancakes. We had some leftover biscuit and pancakes! We also got donuts. Donut Hole is such a treat! Highly recommend for a no frills, diner breakfast/brunch/lunch/dinner - whatever meal you want!

5/20/2025 late afternoon ordered crab cake egg Benedict which had a strong fish taste & smell & once home I got very sick for 2 days now hopefully will be better tomorrow. Called to tell owner/ Manager but neither was in so I left my call back info. Don't want anyone else sick.

We went in for Key Lime pie. The girl at the front acted like she couldn't be bothered. We asked for a slice of pie and she seemed annoyed at that. The pie was mediocre at best. They don't use REAL whipped cream, I am not sure what it was made of. Don't bother with it if you really love Key Lime pie like I do. Such a disappointment.

Classic local breakfast spot with full breakfast menu and walk up donut option. Very popular place that gets busy quickly in a diner type atmosphere. Service is fast and friendly. I recommend the Eggs Benedict and definitely try a donut, or take some to go.

My first few days on vacation and my family were craving donuts so when we found this place we knew it was going to be amazing. The employees double checked our order to make sure they didn't leave anything out and we also got ourselves a bakers dozen! The food was incredible it makes Tim Hortons seem average this is my go to place for donuts now.

All good! Diner type experience. Comprehensive menu and of course amazing donuts. A little drive from 30A but free of crowds.

Very good Bakery products. Review is just for bakery goods to go, not for full restaurant. I stopped in and grabbed half a dozen donuts and a key lime pie slice. Key Lime Pie: regular sized slice of pie had good flavor. Not the best Key Lime I have ever had, but very good. Donuts: Very very good donuts, my biggest regret was only getting 6. The custard and peanut butter cream filled were very good. However the Strawberry Angel was hands down the best. The cinnamon, glazed and Chocolate topped were good. If you are looking for a sweet fix I would give The Donut Hole a try. The family devoured these donuts. In contrast the next day I stopped at Dunkin because it was closer to where we were staying. the Dunkin donuts just made me wish I had driven the extra mile to go get Donut Hole Bakery again. I would recommend and return.

Love this place, food is always good. Only problem is they keep it so dang cold in there your food is cold before you can eat half of it. Everyone around us were complaining

I have not had a bad meal here. I'm partial to the country fried steak breakfast. Their dishes give choices of sides and toast or biscuits. Their pancakes are as large as the plate. And the donuts... mmmmmm. I think about it often. there will be a wait in the mornings. We go later. Sometimes for supper. Their burgers are also good! Both locations are good and open late.

Great place for breakfast and bakery items. We were driving thru the Destin area and found this gem. My husband had the Everything platter which is more than enough for two. Pancakes were 12x12 inches x2. I had cinnamon raisin toast, which was homemade bread, not store bought. Everything was Yummy! They also have a bakery, donuts galore, cookies, pastries and cakes. If they are busy, it is worth the wait!

Yummy donuts! Someone recommended this place to us so we figured we would give it a try! It has a diner feel and has donuts, pies, and some other baked goods! It's very popular! And the donuts are pretty good!

Absolutely 10 out of 10! 10 out of ten for service! The most wonderful woman works at the donut counter! She know how to pick a perfect Mixed dozen! 10 out of 10 for the donuts! They're so good! Especially that apple crumb donut. Had donuts four mornings while in town! 10 out of 10 for breakfast! Had breakfast one morning and the biscuits and gravy were absolutely the best I've ever had! Also, our server was so kind and friendly and chatted with us about how everything is homemade. It's a louder place since the space is smaller, but it has a great feel, and even though it was a Saturday morning and we had a party of seven we only waited about 10 minutes for a table. Will absolutely be back every time I'm nearby!

Best food and staff plus the bakery was amazing. Parking was easy. Bathrooms were older but clean and supplied. Everyone was very welcoming and so knowledgeable of the menu.

Stopped in for dinner last Saturday evening after Mass as we often do to take advantage of the smaller vacation crowds. There was only 1 small family group in the restaurant when we arrived so there should have been no pressure on the staff. My wife and our elderly friend both ordered Taco Salads while I ordered my favorite late breakfast, Eggs and Smoked Porkchops. Both of these items are usually nicely done and delicious. Unfortunately, all 3 meals were very subpar and nearly inedible. My eggs were covered in some kind of oil or grease, had hard yolks, while my pork chops were nearly charred black. Both Taco Salads were covered with moist, flaccid tortilla chips that were underfried and oozing with grease or some other liquid. Advertised Jalapeños were missing and sour cream was all over the meals when we requested to have the sour cream on the side. Both salads were really inedible. We asked our server if the cook was new but he didn't know. This was so unusual because the food is most always good and consistent. The server did adjust the bill slightly but this was not a good night for our beloved Donut Hole. Either get this cook more training or hire someone who knows how to cook, basic diner fare. We were so disappointed and will try again as we have loved the DH for years.
