Donut Man

Decided to try out a different donut shop and this one was only 5ish minutes from my home in Celina. We got a bunch of donuts and I was thinking “well this is going to be like $35”. To my surprise it was less than $20. We really enjoyed all of the different donuts we got. My wife loved the valentines donut I got her.

Came in and lady immediately asked "which one do you want" before I even walked halfway inside, OK kind of rude, first time coming here how would I know what I want without looking at the menu. Got twelve regular glazed donut holes for $1.79? (Which BARELY had any glaze on them, more like a drizzle. I asked for a "Boston kreme donut", I didnt get that, I got a plain donut with custard inside it (custard had to be inside donut after its purchase, they don't come pre custard. my husband was not happy when I brought that to him, and lastly a regular choclate sprinkle circle donut (no special sprinkles, no special icing, no design, nothing) Nothing special, ordered regular boring basic donuts and I was expecting to pay $3.98 as I saw the prices on the board doing the math quickly since she kept rushing me and staring me down while I was looking at the menu and limited donuts. There's a sign that said they don't accept debit/credit cards for purchases $5 or less, I said "oh I only got 3 items, I'll get another donut or two so my total is over $5 since I don't have cash" to which she responded "no it's $5.16".???? I was stunned as that didn't sound right but my 3 kids were hot and annoyed from a days out so I couldn't spend time arguing with her about it and just left. AND GUESS WHAT, of course she did NOT give me my recipt! That's even more proof she made my order, I assume she added herself a tip so the order went above $5. Even if it's $1-2 that's still money I never authorized. Sad, we live right across from this place, will never come back again. Whole experience lacked customer service.

They made Happy Birthday (letters) donuts for our daughter. THEY WERE BEAUTIFUL!! Our oldest takes her kids here every weekend! It’s the ONLY place they will eat donuts!! Delicious. People are so kind and friendly!

Been coming to this same donut store for 10 years. Typically, donuts are donuts are donuts, but, these donuts are REALLY good, and the people selling them are simply amazing people. It's funny. They know me so well, they just ask how many when I walk in the door Hehe. Thanks Donut Man...and I will take 4 Breakfast Taco's today please.

My boyfriend and I were making an hour long drive home with a massive hangover seeking some kind nourishment to revitalize our aching bodies. About halfway through our drive we found Donut Man on apple maps, saw some lovely pictures, and decided to try it out. The experience was wonderful! The women working today were friendly, patient, and helpful. We got croissants, glazed donuts, an apple fritter, and some large jalapeño kolaches. Everything was absolutely great and the kolaches were sensational! The kolache’s bread was so bouncy and soft when I pulled them out the bag that I touched my boyfriend with the bread while he drove so he could feel it’s wonders as well. To top it off, they added some free donut holes into our donut bag. Absolutely wonderful experience!

This is by far one of the best donut places I've had. The staff have always been kind to me, and the donuts themselves are both delicious and affordable! Also, the cronuts are to die for.

Donut man is the perfect place to get your donuts if you are in Prosper! Ms June is the nicest lady ever. They even have tables if you want to enjoy your donuts there!

Amazing! The best donuts I've had in a long time. The shop is small and very nicely decorated. The lady that waited on us was so friendly. I would give it a 5 star if they had a bigger selection of donuts but it must work for them. They've been in business for 15 years! That's great. We got a chocolate bar (delicious) and a cinnamon roll. The Best cinnamon roll I have ever had at a donut shop. Everything was fresh and looked great. I wish I had a big enough stomach to try them all. We are from out of town but my son just moved down the street so we will all be back and it will be a regular spot to go to. It's a must try. They are only open until 2 pm. So don't hesitate to go.

I have called the last 2 years trying to order Birthday donuts for our granddaughter. Each time a woman answers and rudely refuses to take the order even though I call weeks prior to needing the order. She always gives an excuse - can't pick up on Saturday. So I say I'll pick up on Friday and she says no to that as well. Either don't advertise you do these donuts or take the order. I won't go or call them again. BTW, Terry's donuts in Celina was very accommodating.

Super nice people with the best donuts in prosper. Always clean, large variety of donuts, and very reasonably priced for the quality.

It was my youngest son's 4 the birthday and they run out of special donuts. The owner is so kind and made 4 special donuts for us! Highly recommended!

My favorite donut shop in the area. The prices are reasonable and the donuts are excellent. Too many donut shops are focused on making high margins by offering a ton of expensive flavored donuts without even being able to nail a simple glazed donut. This place gets it right and the plain glazed donuts aren't 90 cents per donut.

Love this donut shop! My kids always get their specialty donuts which are different each weekend. They are the only place I know with a CRONUT, which, if you've never had one, you haven't yet truly lived!!!

The best donuts in the town of prosper, been going here for a long time, and still rank this place the best. Other places have sprung up in town, but NONE, are as good as the Donut man

Great donut place! I come here very often and it always impresses me. If your looking for a good donut that doesn't cost to much come here!

I'm struggling on this review. With donuts so good but service below average, it's hard to balance the scale. The donuts are amazing! The glazed donuts and donut holes are to die for. But, not much of a variety. I've gone many times, but I went this morning (third customer) and the were out of glazed and chocolate donuts. All they basically had was glazed and chocolate donut holes (and apple fritters and such) Also, I tried paying with my credit card, and you apparently have to pay five dollars if you want to use your credit/debit card. He let me off the hook (I payed 6.56) and I would've had to have payed 11.56! They get orders wrong too, and it's hard to understand what they are saying. Over all, AMAZING donuts, -ish- service.

The donuts themselves are pretty good- just classic, nothing like the unique cereal on donuts or bacon on maple donuts, etc. I like the straightforward donuts I grew up with, and they do a good job with that! I ordered 5 donuts but they put them in one bag. I went straight home and pulled them out just to discover they had stuck to the bag. No wax paper or anything was put around them. So I ate a bald maple bar :( Also, FYI, it's cash only unless your order is over $5.

Well, it looks like the donut stop it's closed now, so my daughter and I decided to come over here and get donut man a try. Boy, were we please! It was delicious and they had a great selection. They even had peanut butter on the walls. Just kidding. The inside could use an update, but the donuts are a-ok!

This is my son's favorite donut spot and our Saturday morning go to. They are reasonably priced (some other Prosper donut shops are stupid expensive and not as good.)

My wife grabbed donuts for the kids this morning and purchased an apple fritter for me to taste. Just as I judge a Tex-Mex restaurant by their chips and salsa, fajitas and margaritas (rocks), I judge a donut shop by their apple fritters. I was very pleasantly surprised by what I tasted, a moist and flavorful fritter with nice chunks of apple. I also had a bite of a lattice work looking pastry with sausage that was fantastic. We'll definitely go back again to try their cake donuts and other offerings.

Love this shop and love Ms. Amy! She has gotten to know my children and exactly what they order. She is so kind every time we go in. Love that they are branching out and trying new styles and flavors of donuts. They are doing a great job trying to keep ideas new and donuts fresh. One of the original Prosper donut shops and the best in my opinion!!

Classic donuts made well! Stopped in early Sunday morning and was surprised at how delicious the glazed donuts were (I'm not a big donut person). Excellent customer service as well! This will be my go to donut shop in Prosper/Celina.
