Not a lot of parking but they get you in and out quick. I loved the atmosphere of locals having coffee and conversing I'm the background. I'm a sucker for an apple fritter and theirs did not disappoint. You probably can share if you wanted. So delicious! 😋

Google
Best coffee and donuts. My husband claims the apple fritters are the best he's ever had. Went today for the paczkis. They were so good! The owner, Gabriel was super friendly and service was great. The place is newly renovated and looks very nice.

So. The donuts are decent, but what I noticed walking into this Hispanic establishment is how I was not greeted or received friendly treatment. I am a black woman and it’s sad, but you can feel the discrimination as soon as you enter. I won’t be supporting this business and telling friends to stay away if they look like me.

I just left this place. I asked was the coffee fresh. I was told it was made 20 minutes ago. I got a cut plus donuts. When I walked in the cashier was texting on her phone. She never acknowledge me for a few minutes. I was in there between 3:50 and 4:10 pm on 5/9/2024. When I got ready to pay she ( the cashier) got a phone call and she answered it and stopped waiting on me. Who does that. The owner needs to hire people who wants to work and don’t lie to the customer. I had to pour my coffee out because it was nasty and it smelled. I won’t go back there and spend my money.

Google
these are probably the best donuts i’ve ever had. i daydream about taking a plane just to get a dozen. the honey-dipped old fashioned ones that look like they are stacked are life-changing. and normally i hate jelly/fillings but it’s actually very good here. also a fan of the eclairs.

Google
stopped by for coffee and donuts. my wife said her triple triple was perfect, and my black with four sugar was just right, really strong coffee.

Excellent local cafe serving coffee hot chocolate and donuts, donut holes, and various varieties of fresh donuts filled and plain and seasonal favorites

Yelp
Very nice spot! I came in for a coffee and donut! Met the owner, super nice guy. They also have scratch-offs available! I picked up a couple of those too! The freshest donuts are available in the morning and earlier in the day!

Yelp
Observed a roach in glass display case, in daylight hours no less !!! It had easy access to the displayed goods and who knows how long it had easy access to travel and contaminate the baked goods.

Yelp
We had an amazing experience at Donut Villa! The staff was so friendly and the donuts were amazing! We all had lattes and they did not disappoint. Our group loved the giant cinnamon glazed donuts best! We will be back next time we visit Detroit! Go Lions!

Ernesto C.

Yelp

Heather G.

Yelp
Absolutely the best spot in town for delicious coffee and donuts! The staff is always friendly and welcoming, every visit is a pleasure. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I would have loved to give this place 5 stars for the kind service but the selection was very small and the packaging was a disaster. Perhaps it was because we came on a Sunday evening and no fresh donuts were being made. A few of the donuts were pretty hard rather than soft fluffy goodness. The flavor is good - standard donut. My biggest issue is the way they package. I purchased a dozen donuts. I wanted a dozen good donuts. Not a dozen smushed donuts. Not a good idea to place 6 donuts in one paper bag. Disappointing to come home and have all my donuts turn into one big donut!!!!! Despite being careful. The few donuts they had which I was able to try were tasty. I would still come back during a time they're making fresh donuts and perhaps ask for better packaging.

Yelp
I came here trying to get some donuts for my coworkers. There were no fresh donuts out. Unfortunately I couldn't give them a try. I walked in and walked out.

Crestin G.

Yelp
Ran out of coffee @ home? Come here, their coffee is really good if you just want a inexpensive regular cup of coffee. They also have a variety of donuts to choose from as well. The staff is also helpful & nice. Oh and one last thing they do accept contactless payments. I say that becuase it's not posted and I know my fellow techies would like to know.

Yelp
In the heart of Detroits mexican village which we were exploring I saw a huge sign donut villa and couldn't help but think, WTH is this a fata morgana? Is my body telling me I need a donut, I always do so of course we had to go in. An old school donut shop right between endless taco stands and quirkly mexican shops it was very very odd. Stepping in, it was filled with old men drinking coffee, I knew it would be good and everything was honey or chocolate and honey dipped and fried, browned nicely and fresh. A large but average selection, so I got my staples, glazed stick for crunchy simplicity, custard filled, blueberry, apple fritter and the rest assoirted goodies and they were great. A donut is a donut and after eating so many becomes a blur, but these were well above average and a fun find in this area.

Yelp
Bomb donuts. Cute little small town donut shop. Super cheap prices and a good variety.

Yelp
Tried this donut shop last week and plan to return very soon. Great selection and I enjoyed my hot coffee as well.

Yelp
I wish I was at work right now...crazy, huh? But if I was I would be right around the corner from the freshest tasting donuts I have ever had. Ever. No, I'm not a cop...but teachers really like them, too! Dil said that old white guys hang out here. I think it's been a few years since he's been here. I always feel like the person most devoid of pigment when I step in here. If you are in the area check it out. Although, if you're in the area, you really need to hit Mexican Town Bakery, because who goes to Mexican Town for Donuts?

Donald E.

Yelp
I go to Eastern market in Detroit and Mexican Town in Detroit like every Saturday it's my favorite thing to do I go to Dona Villa around 2:00 in the afternoon on a Saturday and they're always out of donuts my favorite donut is a peanut and the honey glaze and they're always out they barely have anything left after 1:00 in the afternoon on a Saturday I mean all they do is they got to make donuts you know I mean come on so I give them a negative review just because they're a donut shop and they can't even have donuts in stock

Tammy B.

Yelp
I read other online reviews that were pretty good so I drove half an hour to get these so called good donuts. Very disappointed. tasted like they were cooked in the oldest, nastiest grease. The lady at the counter was rude and just wanted me out of there. I'm sorry I wasted my time and my gas coming to this place. Never again.

Amber J.

Yelp
Cute and cozy donut shop in the heart of southwest detroit. Gotta get there early for the full selection because the industrial crowd knows what's up. The donut holes are really good

Spicer780 ..

Yelp
Not bad except every time I go there they never have shit a little selection but even out of that

Yelp
Home of the "nickel nut", old white dude hang-out. The nickel nut is like a timbit (if you're Canadian) or a munchkin (if yer American). You can get 20 for a dollar. All the other donuts cost 50 cents. You can also get coffee. I didn't find their coffee nor donuts that exciting - though it'll do the trick in the winter when you need something hot and doughy lining the esophagus. The first two times I was here, pre-smoking-ban, you could smoke inside. Just like it was 1985 (in the rest of the world), all the donuts tasted like smoke. yum. thankfully, the smokers now step outside. The interior is bare bones... heavy on the bare. Nevertheless, it's a very visible SW hangout for very old white dudes. The three times I've been inside the Donut Villa, I was surrounded by old white dudes. I guess this is where they go.

Maggie K.

Yelp
The donuts were delicious. I'm from Downtown Detroit and I didn't want to miss out on eating a donut on National Donut Day, so I looked up close donut shops and this is the one I chose. The chocoloate glazed donut is to die for. The spiral glazed donut was a little too eggy for my taste but they have so so many other options. Please check this place out! Great experience.

Yelp
It's one of those old-fashioned doughnut shop, the kind with the counter that customers can sit at. I only tried one doughnut today, but it was enough to inspire a review. I got the apple crumb. The pastry-tasted fresh, its texture soft and delicate. The filling didn't taste like cheap apple pie filling. It should be noted that they do not take credit cards. However, my doughnut only came to 56¢ so I made do.
