In the heart of Detroits mexican village which we were exploring I saw a huge sign donut villa and couldn't help but think, WTH is this a fata morgana?
Is my body telling me I need a donut, I always do so of course we had to go in.
An old school donut shop right between endless taco stands and quirkly mexican shops it was very very odd.
Stepping in, it was filled with old men drinking coffee, I knew it would be good and everything was honey or chocolate and honey dipped and fried, browned nicely and fresh.
A large but average selection, so I got my staples, glazed stick for crunchy simplicity, custard filled, blueberry, apple fritter and the rest assoirted goodies and they were great.
A donut is a donut and after eating so many becomes a blur, but these were well above average and a fun find in this area.
