"Donut Villa Diner, one of Greater Boston’s top doughnut shops, just brought its doughnut cheeseburgers and Bloody Marys to Newtonville. As it grows, Donut Villa Diner continues to up the ante: While the decades-old Malden original serves only breakfast and lunch, last year’s Cambridge expansion added dinner and booze. Location number three, which opened early this week at 344 Walnut St., Newton, keeps the full liquor license and dinner menu while adding new menu items like crab cakes and hanger steak and dropping a word from the name: It’s simply “Donut Villa,” here. Some things don’t change, though; you’ll still find dozens of outstanding doughnuts, from a powdered doughnut filled with lemon cream to the bestselling honey dip, as well as gluten-free and vegan options and the aforementioned creations like doughnut cheeseburgers and doughnut French toast. You’ll also find 85 seats inside, plus 80 more outside when the patio opens. Donut Villa is currently open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday." - Adam H. Callaghan

Food is ok. Good mimosas and cocktails for brunch. Service is good, but wait times can be horrendously long. If you sit down to eat, estimate extra time for food to get out. Home fries were mushy. Kinda not what is normal. Hangover burger was good.

Have been here twice and I really enjoy their pickle fries. There is a vegan menu and a regular menu and they serve breakfast all day. It was our first time bringing donuts home, we ate them for breakfast the next day. Delicious 🤤 we shared them.

Food is fantastic and the service always friendly. The grilled cinnamon rolls are to die for, but all of the food here is made fresh. The variety of donuts is good and it's fun to be able to drink and eat donuts at the same time.

Went here for dine in. The dishes were a hit a miss..mainly misses. The tofu scramble had so much salt it was inedible. The vegan donuts are great though which keeps the score higher.

Their fried pickle fries are the best I’ve had in a really long time. I don’t know if it’s because they were fry-shaped instead of pickle-shaped or what, but they were perfect. I didn’t even take a picture because I was too focused on eating them as quickly as possible. The Summer Thyme drink was delicious- and I don’t even like hard seltzer. Not sure why this place wasn’t absolutely packed on a Saturday night- it’s definitely an overlooked gem. The servers were really nice and just the right amount of attentive. 10/10 will be back- probably to try their mimosa flights.

The first time we went here about a month after opening we had a bad experience with a long wait and forgotten food for our takeout order. We've been back twice and had amazing experiences! They seem to have worked out the kinks and we are very satisfied. I'm glad we gave them another chance, we'll definitely be back!

Affordable, fun place, great tunes, good food and drinks. The only reason for the 4 star is that the food was good. No ones food was knock out the park, rant and rave about it. It was just good. I ordered French toast with bananas and strawberries on top with turkey bacon. It was a good meal. I went to enjoy the time with my coworkers. We went on a day where the place was not full at all. Our orders came out correct and fairly quickly. Our waitress was very kind and helpful. The drinks were VERY GOOD. Highly recommend the mimosa flight, strawberry, mango, passion, and drangonfruit. The dragonfruit and passion fruit were my absolute favorite. The donuts - I took to go. My kids really enjoyed the donuts, however they are very very sweet. My kids really liked the Nutella hazelnut donut, the white chocolate oreo, and the maple bacon was tasty as well. They were reasonably priced. I will be back again.

Crispy Cajun fries stole my heart! We went to Donut Villa on a Sunday afternoon and got excellent service. I got an avocado toast and my husband got the Cajun chicken sandwich. The fries came as a side with the sandwich. Upon request they gave us chipotle mayo for the fries- this was so good. The staff is friendly. They had quite a few vegan options too. So many different donuts to choose from for dessert. Everything was great-I think this place does not get the attention it deserves. Will be a regular from now on!
