Donuts Plus

So glad that Mr Kim came back to make the donuts. Delicious especially the Korean twisted donuts. We missed him and always love his generosity and humor. He is truly a gem in our neighborhood.

Simply a great doughnut shop. Firstly, their product is amazing. The doughnuts are fluffy and soft on the inside, crispy on the outside, and have a wonderful, rich flavor to them. Moreover, they have a great selection to choose from, guaranteeing most will find something to their liking. What stands out is that these doughnuts are simply good. They don’t need some crazy gimmick (i.e. Voodoo Doughnuts) or have the need to attempt trendy flavors with different ingredients (i.e. Blue Star Doughnuts). This mom and pop shop just produces a great, classic doughnut. In addition, they excel at the fundamentals of business! Their customer service is superior to most. They are friendly and and welcoming. Likewise, they offer free doughnuts, doughnut holes, and the like. Often I’ve gone in and only purchased a dozen pastries. However, I’ve usually leave with extra goodies on the house...for no other reason than they felt I deserved one. There is a reason they’ve been in business longer than I’ve been alive. They are good at what they do and offer a wonderful product. They are truly a gem.

Better than the big name donut shops around town, they have been making donuts for the last 30 years and the blend of dough and sweetness is so balanced. Not too sweet and not too thick of a sugar coating. Their maple bar is their best seller and once you taste it, you’ll understand. Great to SUPPORT local business too !!!

This shop used to be a favorite, and they always had the best fresh donuts around. I don't know if it changed ownership or what, but it is definitely not what it used to be. Somehow they managed to be dry and greasy at the same time. On our most recent and final visit, we ended up throwing the donuts away. They weren't even edible. They were so dry, and the maple bars weren't even fully iced. Now they are just overpriced donuts prepared by someone who clearly doesn't care. We were very disappointed.

Absolutely love this donut shoppe. Locally owned and operated since the 80’s I believe. Still thriving and making great doughy treats. This picture doesn’t do it justice but this crumble donut is my favorite donut of all time. Yes better than anything Blue Star or Voo Doo puts out.

Super friendly sole proprietor service with a joke sprinkled in here and there. Ordered a delicious apple fritter and he threw in three donut holes complimentary. Was kind of surprised how steadily busy this place was and it was because it's a clearly well run business. Kudos! Did I mention that bacon maple bar?

This place used to have the best donuts in town. Been going there for 20 years. Today I went in at 7:30 Saturday morning. Nobody was in there, which was unusual. I had not been in there in over a year but remembered how I thought the quality and size of the donuts were not as great as usual last time. This time the donuts looked old and unappealing. Ordered a dozen and paid $23. Crazy expensive, but what isn’t nowadays. Had a few of the donuts at home and none of them had much of any glaze or chocolate on them. My two kids each had one and said they were gross. They eat 3 or 4 each everywhere else. After only 5 hours in the box, the chocolate was already melting and dripping off. Wtf…. Seriously. The quality of this place has gone to the pot. Unfortunately, this is probably why the place was empty. I will not be going back after 20 years of giving them my business. And Mr Kim was there as I spoke to him, and he made these donuts. Not good…

I'd been meaning to come here for years, but then ownership changed, and it sounded like it wasn't as good. Now, the original owner (Mr. Kim) is back! I got an assorted dozen, and everything was light and not greasy, and he threw in some donut holes! I'll definitely be back!

Excellent donuts, I've had a wide variety of them, and they're always good and fresh.

Enjoyed this place a few years ago and was excited to take the kids... 8am Saturday morning and none of the donuts looked fresh or made well. Glaze was melty like day olds, misshaped donuts with very uneven frosting and sprinkles. I bought a couple for the kids but decided not to purchase any extras. Maybe just an off day but they looked really bad :/. Excellent service however!

Twice in the past year, I have gone there around 6:30 AM and they are still closed. They need to update their hours on Google and their sign. I really want to support local businesses but the inconsistency is too frustrating to deal with especially first thing in the morning.

Unfortunately all the donuts tasted kinda stale. The dough is very dense and dry. The donuts are also very light on the frosting. We picked out a variety, bars, bear claws, donut holes, fritters... all disappointing.

Update: So, I just found out they are closed on Tuesday's now. I went to another nearby local donut shop and realized that the prices compared to donuts plus was double, the oil used in my apple fritter was not nearly as fresh as donuts plus and the donuts were overall just worse. I'm certainly no donut connisseur but as a layman, I can tell you the flavors at donuts plus doesn't taste artificial and the dough has a nice texture compared to other places.

Wonderful doughnut shop that is locally owned. The pastries were warm and crunchy/ soft when they were supposed to be. They have a great assortment!

Miserable staff, miserable donuts. A sign on the door says you'll get half off a dozen for your 5 star review on Yelp and Google, well that's dishonest. On top of that, discounting these old nasty donuts isn't incentive for me to do anything but toss them in the garbage. I miss the old Donuts Plus! It was clean, friendly, and fresh... everything the opposite of what it is now. The staff present today barely mumbled to us as she sat on her phone. And the donuts served up on a Sunday morning were literally days old. I don't think 1 out of 6 we brought home was made as soon as yesterday. The Apple fritter was so old pieces were literally breaking off, and the chocolate frosting on my Bismarck was almost unbreakable by a finger poke. Save your $12 per half dozen(!) and go anywhere but here! Even Albertsons donuts are a million times better!

$23.00 for a oh, so- so dozen donuts. This shop has been in the neighborhood a long time and there are new owners....

Good donut selection. Tasty. Friendly owner and staff. Plus they add some donut holes as an extra surprise treat.

I am so very happy that Joe (Mr Kim) is back from his attempted retirement from Donuts Plus. The fellow who took over was a disaster but now the shop has returned to being the best and most friendly donut store I have encountered in my 74 years. Thank you, Joe!!!

Another day and another donut craving. Why not get some delivered. This is one of the better Ubereats order options I do have to say. They were pretty generous and seems to fill the extra room in my box with donut holes because I did not order that many of those so that was pretty nice. The top donuts I get near everywhere are a Bavarian cream and also an apple fritter - both were pretty great. There donuts were pretty fresh, not greasy and generous in size. They also have several interesting choices you get opt for in fritter form. The bear claw fritter was pretty great.

Stop by at 7am to get some donuts and Mr. Kim was graciously taking our order. Lots of donuts to choose from. He was so nice and sweet and even gave us free donut holes. My heart melted. I've never gone to a donut shop this heart felt warm before. The donuts were glistening and perfectly fried. They are just at perfect sweetness as well. Most donut shops I've gone to are overly glazed and are too sweet. But they do it just right here. The dough is also fluffy and has great chew to it. My favorite is the classic cinnamon twist. Chewy & crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Cinnamon ratio was just right. Oh what more can I say. I'm a fan and will support them for as long as they keep making these amazing donuts! Go support your local AAPI businesses! They are the true mvp Rest In Peace sweet Sue. You will be forever missed and loved.

Fresh,delicious, good service, friendly to families & community. Go grab ur donuts early bird ...walk in ,dining or take away ...by the way they r following the health oregon standard of cleaning & sanitizing. Recomeded to groups & business deals for celebrations & holidays ... I love thier fritters ,pumpkin & Apple cider.. My kids addicted to frosting rings & maple barsssssss.

Went in this am early on a Sunday. Super disappointing! I loved this place and talked about the amazing donuts. No more!! Cases were full. I know why. Day old, maybe older donuts are now sold! Frosting is dry and cracking! Apple Fritter was terrible, old, crumbling and not one apple. We threw the entire dozen in the trash!! Sure wish the old owner was back:(

I really want to recommend you try this business again. The first time I went back after new ownership the donut I had was great, everyone agreed! I went In Saturday for a donut and it didn't taste quite as fresh. I want them to succeed. Please give a try. If the store owner reads these reviews, please make sure people are greeted with a smile and make donuts fresh daily, even if you have to make fewer daily and sell out. Fresh is best.

Such a lovely small business! Pasted all over the walls are notes and photos from and of customers over the years. The donuts are delicious and very reasonably priced. My favorite were the old fashioned donut and the cinnamon roll, both were perfectly crunchy on the outside. The owner is super nice and threw a handful of donut holes into our bag, free of charge! Would definitely recommend going earlier in the day because a lot of the good ones were already sold out when we went around 10am.

Fond memories if eating donuts from Donuts Plus on Sunday, whatever variety of a dozen my dad brought back for the family. First time at the store myself and even at 7am on Friday morning, I saw a few customers leaving with their donuts and more trickling in. The interior is full of pictures from customers and the community, a few booth style tables and drinks available too. The owner was cheery and quick with helping everyone, she even had donuts ready for a regular customer too Quite a variety of donuts and donut holes starting at less than 1.50! From old fashioned to chocolate, bacon maple, and Texas sized too a nice treat for anyone and everyone. I got a chocolate twist and bacon maple bar for $5, rounded up as I used my card which they charge a transaction fee if it's less than 5. The owner threw in some donut holes too! The chocolate twist had a little bit of a crisp on the outside, soft inside and the sweetness from the chocolate- they seem longer in size compared to other places which is a plus. The bacon maple had the sweetness from the maple, fluffy soft dough, and the crisp bacon. The bacon seemed to have a slight smoky flavor or maybe I was imagining that~ Donuts Plus has mastered the donut and adds their great customer service too

We've developed a bit of a donut habit during quarantine. This place has THE BEST blueberry donuts. Great donut holes too. And theirs stay fresh even through a few days of me telling myself to eat them in moderation.

Just stopped in to grab a few donuts. The gentleman that helped me, who I assume is the owner, was so nice! He included a few donut holes which were awesome. The donuts were big and fluffy. Simple and delicious in the best possible way. Will definitely be back!

Been a customer for years, but sadly the new owners are not putting out the quality product that we've had for years..

We had one dozen donuts to be shared between three adults and two 4 year olds. Surprisingly the best donuts we have had in our whole lives, found at a store that seems very modest and true to donuts. (No flashy marketing or designs. The shop owner seemed tacit, very focused on donuts and customer orders) Trust me, we've lived and traveled all around the world including NY, Paris, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Seoul, and we love eating and finding local delicacies, and this place is to be remembered. Anyways, these donuts were very very good. Very classic for the following reasonsz The Dough - the classic dough, has the perfect taste of bread. Some are soft and chewy, some are crispy (depending on which kind you get) The fillings - very generous real fillings. Especially the raspberry filling was so good, ample and tasty. Preparation - I could taste that these donuts were very fresh! Soft, crispy, and chewy textures (depending one which donut you choose) all stayed alive! Thank you for the wonderful delight in our mouths this morning!

Came in on Father's day after being let down by Krispy Kreme. Even though it was already 11:15, they had cake donuts which is my dad's favorite and exactly what we were looking for, plus we got some apple fritters, blueberry fritters, and a filled donut! I was worried because of the recent reviews, but I can confidently say that the quality of everything was great! Soooo delicious!! He also threw in some free donut holes into our box! Give them a try if you haven't been in a while, you won't be disappointed!

What a cute little shop. My son and I stopped in here to fulfill a post hike donut crave and we were not disappointed. The nice lady working behind the counter was very funny and sweet to my son. She even gave him a few free donut holes. Got home and the donuts were moist and delicious.

Made it back out to Donuts Plus to surprise the family with some donuts. The owner was extremely nice and even threw in a couple extras for the kids to enjoy. Portland is famous for Voodoo and Blue Star Donuts, but the true star of the donut scene is Donuts Plus. They have been around for over 30 years and hands down have the best donuts in the area. If you are around the Beaverton area, I highly recommend you stop in and grab a dozen or two.

This is one of my favorite donut shops. The owners are super friendly and the place is clean. The donuts are always fresh and consistent. The chocolate bar is far my go to, not overly sweet and the dough just melts in my mouth. Priced very reasonable, they also toss in a handful of donuts holes with your purchase. There is a 5 dollar purchase needed for credit card, not a big deal I can't ever leave spending so little. There are lots of shops around the Portland area, but this is by far my favorite.

We moved recently and needed a new donut shop so we hit this one on the way home. I spent nearly $7 for a glazed donut, a twist and a cake donut. I asked him how much the twist was and he said three dollars.. For a twist? Needless to say, it was my first and definitely my last visit. Have fun going broke.

Yummy donuts. Just loved them. Never noticed this place before and for sure going to be my one of my regular spots moving forward. They are only open till 1 pm. There signature blueberry crumble donut is awesome and so are others. Heard this is a veteran owned place and so happy to land up here to grab a box on Veteran's day.

Under new ownership for the last year and QUALITY HAS FALLEN DRAMATICALLY!! I gave them a other chance and bought 6 mixed variety donuts yesterday (Saturday). ALL were DAY OLD, tough, and dry. AND their price is way high. I'd pay the price if the quality was the same as the original Asian (award winning) owners pictured on their donut box. Do not recommend.

Donuts at this spot are delicious! Love coming here on Saturday mornings!!! Love the old fashioned sour creme glazed donuts! My all time favorite.

This place should be called Donuts A+. Best donuts in the Beaverton burbs! I'll put my donut money on it EVERY time. U.S. Veteran, family owned small business This place is a gem. Their Blueberry Crumb donut might be the best ring of fried and glazed dough this side of the Willamette. Don't shy away from their cinnamon rolls - no such thing as a bad bite (except for the last one) with those things. If it's before 1 PM and I want donuts, I'll be at Donut+.

Fantastic donuts! So soft, so flavorful and so delicious! Bought half a dozen donuts for $7 which is a good deal. The owner is super friendly and personable. Happy to support local business and I'm so glad they are near the Bethany area. Highly recommend Donuts Plus! :) The BEST donuts in town! Will definitely come back again! They open early at 5am so make sure you stop in and get your donuts cravings in before they close in the afternoon.

I didn't personally go. A friend bought some donuts for us to eat and he said he got it here. Because of work, it usually closes before I could try and I don't drive around there during the weekends. Anyway, the donuts looked fresh and they smelled amazing. Downside was I didn't get to choose the kinds of donuts so I litterally took a small piece if every flavor my friend got. Apple fritters' flavor was nice but too much oil got caught inside. I also assume the apples were in the center of the donut so I didn't get any apples in mine. There were some other ones with a citrus flavor and that was unexpected and interesting. The "normal" flavors like chocolate and maple bars were super sweet. The rest were cake-like and I liked those a lot more. I'll try them again if my friends get them, haa.

Donuts plus is one of my favorite donut places. They have the nicest staff, and always are so friendly. Even under new ownership, they have delicious donuts. I highly recommend stopping buy this small local-owned business!

Tasty donuts that are fluffy, reasonably priced, and aren't drenched in grease. Stopped by at 8:30 AM mid week and my first two choices weren't available. The gentleman was very kind and the shop was larger than I expected. We've been wanting to come here for over a year and we will definitely be coming back after today's stop.

Donuts Plus has become our go to donut shop.Yes, there are fancier shops and yes, there are trendier shops but this is close to our house, the family that runs it are so very nice, and their donuts are really good. They are totally our slumber party donut store. I load the sleepy cranky tweens into the car in their jammies half dead on their feet so they can choose their own. Sprinkles?yes please. Bacon maple bar? Better than voodoo. Donut holes? Cinnamon and powdered sugar rock. My brother came to visit from Seattle and fell for the crumb donuts. He took a box home to his wife. They loved them. He also loved how they usually throw in some extra something too. Not something you see much anymore. They are super sweet to the kids and very friendly to customers. Yum. I could totally go for a maple bar right now. Guess I have to wait till 5am. That's when they open.

Owner was so kind. Donuts were so good. Very happy to have found this sweet little donut shop so close to home. Let's support these small local businesses in times like these!! Every community needs a small-time donut shop! :)

New owners are not providing the donuts we are used to getting. There's hardly any frosting on the donuts and they were dry. Sadly we will not be going back.

Excellent donuts from a family-run business. Definitely not closed, not sure why it says that. Fresh donuts every day, classics and some fun new donuts each day. Good coffee too! Nice to support a local family business rather that a huge corporate chain (and Donuts Plus has wayyyy better donuts anyways!)

I love donuts and maple bars are my favorite. This place sadly didn't deliver the way I was hoping. It was almost as if it tasted like day old? The round chocolate was the same. However the cake donuts were pretty good. This would not be my go to donut place.

It's been a while since I've visited this place. Came back a couple weeks ago and learned that there are new owners. While the donuts are super soft like the before the frosting has dramatically changed. It's more of a smear, not a frost, and not even half the donut was "frosted". I have never seen a donut so bare. This place has been so well loved over the years and I hope the new owners will aim to maintain the same great quality.
