Peach Season Means London Restaurants Get Their Summer Menus Out | Eater London

"A rapidly expanding doughnut chain known for gaudily decorated, maximalist baked goods and conspicuous product names, with multiple branches in some of the city's most desirable areas. Its Instagram presence is a full-on visual assault, and its signature creations prioritize spectacle—for example, an over-the-top 'bangin' popcorn' glaze piled with chocolate beans, popcorn, cola bottles and chunky Mars bar slabs—raising the question of whether the overloaded sweets are desirable on taste alone. Regardless, the brand’s gimmicky excess and strong social-media game make it perfectly suited to filling vacant high-street units and the current craving-for-more moment." - George Reynolds

Google
Made to order donuts. Donuts made with love. Not sure if you are like me but I can tell the difference when something is made with love verses just thrown together. Check this place out!!!

Google
The owners were very nice. I got there first thing in the morning at 7am to pick up breakfast for a meeting. Everything was fresh. The coffee tasted so rich, clean and delicious. Staff said the donuts were TWO good, one wasn’t enough. Overall, I bought 20 donuts, a box of coffee and a box of water and spent about $75. Only downside is I wish they had a gluten free option.

Google
One of the best donut shops I’ve been to! Donuts were made to order and did not disappoint. Seems like the fillings were placed after ordering, I got the strawberry cheese and tiramisu donuts. Both were sooo good!

Google
We ordered the blueberry glazed cake donut that was on display in the showcase. However, we received plain, dry donuts with blueberry syrup smeared on the top. We were told they no longer make the blueberry cake donuts they are for display only?? Which we were only told AFTER we ordered and paid. Unfortunately, the donuts themselves were dry and more like bread or cake than donuts.

Google
Sad to see that things have changed so drastically with the new owners. Donuts are definitely not on par with being some of the best donuts in NJ. 2-3 of our donuts were stale and dry. Two breakfast wraps were both missing the potatoes. One wrap was ordered with extra pork roll and if there was extra pork roll on it I’m curious to see what the regular wrap comes with. Wraps are 1/3 the size of original breakfast wraps. Extremely disappointing and not worth the price. Definitely missing the old quality, and won’t be returning.

Google
We got a box of donuts from donut time cafe from a family friend proclaiming it’s the best donuts around…I would disagree with that. Dunkin’ Donuts donut’s are better than these. It’s definitely not like donut bread type - it’s cake or something else, and they get stale very fast AND they are so greasy. You can see ton of grease on the bottom of the box. I stopped eating a donut half way and I threw it in the trash ALONG with the rest of the donuts in the box, didn’t wanna waste it but no point to keep it in the fridge just collecting mold then. Not impressed and I will not be going to this place ever.

Google
Read the bad reviews but figured I'd find out for myself. Well they were correct! Ordered well in advance to avoid it not being ready, ordered the #5 breakfast sandwich which only has 4 things on it (egg, meat, spinach & Chipotle mayo) I got 3 out of the 4 ! NO BACON ??????? SERIOUSLY ??????? It took the guy 2 minutes to ring me up. Steer clear of this place! Don't let the 4.7 stars from the previous owner fool you! I guarantee they won't be in business very long!

Mina L.

Google
The cheesecake donut is very delicious and sweet. The filling and jelly really make it one of the best sweets I had in a long time. The service also is really good and the inside is also very cozy if you want to sit down and eat.

Yelp
While on a road trip, of course I had to discover new donut places. And found this on yelp. As soon as I walked in and looked at the selection, I already knew this was not going to be a good one, but I decided to give it a try anyway. It is a small shop and a little shopping center so you may have some difficulty with parking. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't very busy. I was greeted immediately and each of the available doughnuts are on display in the front case. The consistency was more bread like so it wouldn't necessarily qualify as a yeast or a cake doughnut. I took a bite of each and that was the end. If you are a true donut fan, you may be disappointed like I was.

Yelp
VERY very good donuts! They're so soft and full of fun toppings. I only tried the donuts (which were DELICIOUS), so next time I'm planning on trying something fun like a waffle breakfast sandwich or Boston crème croissant! PERFECT if you like a sweet treat in the AM! They have savory options as well

Yelp
Very good! Stopped by just before 1:30pm and grabbed 4 - Nutella & Cream, Strawberry, Cannoli and PB cup. We liked them all but would highly recommend the Nutella donut! I watched them basically make them in front of me - which was different but they tasted fresh so I really appreciated this method! The service was nice and quick and I felt for $1.85-$3.25 per donut it was worth it. Would stop by again and recommend! They also had some tables inside too and easy parking out front.

Yelp
For National Doughnut Day I ended up finding this local shop to support local businesses for our office. The shop is a small and very welcoming place and the smell is just amazing because they make all the doughnuts in house. Will need to go back for their breakfast and lunch menu items. Customer service was also excellent and you can tell it's a family owned business and the menu changes often as they offer different flavors. When I picked up the order in the morning it was warm and fresh as all the doughnuts were coming out fresh. Our favorites were the French Cruller, Strawberry Cheesecake, Cannoli, and the Boston Cream. Ordering ahead is strongly recommended and encouraged...I placed my order the night before and had a short wait when I arrived but it was all worth it because of the quality of the doughnuts.

Yelp
Cute place. Very good donuts. Light and airy. Great favorable options. The ordering systems on the iPad is a bit quirky. Breakfast wrap may have been as good or better than the donuts.

Yelp
Treating my wife to a special birthday breakfast and she wanted to try the donuts from this spot. I opted for a breakfast sandwich. Interior was cute and they have ordering kiosks so you can peruse the options while you order without feeling any pressure. The gentleman working inside appeared to be the owner and he was very friendly and quick to get our order ready. Food is made fresh and the attention to detail in preparation really shows in the quality. We got iced mocha (me) and iced French vanilla over (my wife) to drink. Donuts tried were Boston cream and French Toast. Both were excellent but my breakfast sandwich was the star. I ordered the Hog Heaven with pork roll. Comes with bacon and a fried egg. I got it with Pepper Jack cheese as I wanted a little zip on it. The sandwich was phenomenal. Best breakfast sandwich that I've had in a long time (maybe ever). High quality ingredients, attention to detail, and quick/friendly service. Five stars

Shelley A.

Yelp
I ordered 7 donuts to be delivered first thing in the morning. They were truly the worst donuts I've ever eaten - so much so that we threw them out. They were so stale they tasted like they were a week old. I called the store and they claimed they were made fresh that day, which is even worse if that's what they taste like fresh. $40 down the drain.

Yelp
New owner and not the same anymore. The focus has seemed to taken a shift from donuts to meals. They still offer all the donuts, but the quality of those donuts have dropped. they are still freshly made, but something has changed and it's noticable in the taste. Maybe if you've never had donuts from the old owner you would say they are still good, but they certainly aren't top donuts in NJ worthy like they used to be. Such a shame too.

Yelp
Definitely time for an update to my last review over eight years ago. Many things have changed, but the quality of their cake donuts has not. They remain substantial with white (vanilla) cake base and freshly made toppings. What was added were very good breakfast sandwiches, donut sandwiches and two kiosks to permit visuals of all the choices and instant ordering so that each is made only when the order is placed. Can't be any fresher than that. My Classic Breakfast Sandwich (bacon, fried egg & cheddar on Kaiser roll) was very good with the bacon hot and crisp, egg a bit drippy the way I like it, and choice of cheese on decent roll. Coffee was also recently brewed on Bunn-O-Matic and was hot and strong. It would be perfect if their bakery products came from Italian Peoples. I treated myself to a Coffee Cake Donut, just to taste how good they were. Not a breakfast sweets guy, I still found this baby awesome. Moderately dense white cake base, moist with subtle hint of vanilla, and a crunchy frosting that added texture and gentle coffeecakeness. Loved every bite. The owners remain the same. It is good to see their success and how they have grown the business to attract more customers, without sacrificing the legacy built around their donuts.

Yelp
I've ordered doughnuts from here twice, and both times they have been fantastic. Even ordering later in the day, they are soft, fluffy, and aren't overly sweet. We've tried a fair variety of the flavors offered, and enjoy every one of them. The toppings and fillings have been plentiful, and the prices are great compared to a lot of places in the area.

Fallon H.

Yelp
The prices for everything are all over the wall when you walk in and in every menu. When you go up to pay...it's way more and the lady says those prices are from a year ago. You cant update prices from a year ago...false advertisement..so disappointed!

Daisybelle B.

Yelp
Decided to order Donut Time as an early morning Memorial Day treat. This was not the same Donut Time I remember from 2022. The donuts we got were not made to order and were refrigerator cold & stale. The cream filling was not the same did the donuts seem made to order and equally as bad, the shop smelled of rancid oil. Not sure what happened but this is not the Donut Time from 2022.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been into Donuts Time Café plenty of times. The donuts are always fresh and tasty! This review is about the customer service. I am very thankful for the new owners, this morning I left my son's stuffed animals behind and before I could turn onto Rt. 33, I heard a knock on my window and there they were! Next time I'm in I need to properly introduce myself and thank them again!

Yelp
I returned here after a long hiatus and went with 4 donuts. They had self service kiosks to order which was different from my previous visits here. Peanut Butter & Jelly - See previous review for similar thoughts. French Toast - See previous review for similar thoughts. Coffee Cake - This was a vanilla cake donut topped with vanilla icing and topped with a brown sugar streusel. The cake donut I was not a fan of, but I did enjoy the streusel and icing combination together. S'mores - This was a donut sandwich with a marshmallow fluff and graham cracker filling with chocolate icing. I was very surprised when biting into this and getting the graham cracker filling. I was not a fan at first, but it grew on me as I kept eating. The marshmallow filling was exceptional.

Alison G.

Yelp
Ordered a breakfast sandwich, donuts, and coffee for pickup and my mom and I are both super picky with our coffee and everything was so delicious! Everyone was super friendly when I went in to pick it up and you can tell the donuts were freshly made!! Will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
The best local donut spot you're missing out on. It's definitely local and family owned. It's in a small strip mall just across the street from Texas Roadhouse. Inside there's seating and a kiosk you can order from. They also have various breakfast items including wraps, sandwiches, and bagels. They cook their own bread for the sandwiches, so everything is fresh. They have quite a range in donuts and always adding more. My favorite was the French Toast donut. You can taste the buttery flavor, cinnamon and sweetness. The others are good too. Get a selection, share and come back.

Nicholas S.

Yelp
First time here, donuts are out of this world! the owner was very pleasant and hospitable. I definitely would recommend patronizing this small business! P.S. Strongly recommend the sausage, egg, and cheese on croissant
google avatar

Kiva A.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place however the customer service was lacking not personable at all and also seemed as if me being there was a bother. As for the donuts were decent would have be better if they were warm. I have no interest in returning

Chris M.

Yelp
Fantastic! Homemade donuts that taste great and not overpriced. Very fresh, the toppings are added when you order, not sitting all day. So many to choose from. The made to order themed donuts and donut layer cakes looks great. The owner and staff were very friendly. Highly recommended this place!
google avatar

Yelp
Best donuts in the area but also great for breakfast. Their custom cakes are also delicious and inexpensive.

Yelp
Best donuts in New Jersey. Period!! Friendly atmosphere with wonderful customer service.

Mayda T.

Yelp
We went here for breakfast and donuts and it was so delicious ! It's a great place for a breakfast date with the Hubby. I ordered a breakfast bowl with spinach eggs and bacon and my husband got the healthy breakfast with eggs cheese and roll and potatoes. We love this local business and we also ordered a giant birthday donut cake for my dad and sis in law combo party. This is the place to go for gourmet donuts and a quick inexpensive breakfast and support your local business.

Yelp
New ownership and it shows.. Maybe it's just growing pains but yikes. The order took over an hour to be prepared. The Boston Cream donuts tasted pretty similar to the original but everything else was disappointing. The Nutella waffle was frozen Eggos that were partially defrosted and Nutella. It was supposed to be on a crossiant but they ran out. The egg sandwich was horrific. The skinniest piece (yes just one) of pork roll I've ever seen but they made sure to pack it with spinach. Probably won't get food, other than donuts, there for quite some time.
google avatar

German C.

Yelp
Dear Lord thank you for delicious, hand made donuts. May the food and business be blessed This isn't a large corporations or franchise- this are entrepreneurs.. small business we need to support. They are the most delicious, flufiest donuts I've ever tasted

Yelp
I found it!! I found the place I've seen on Instagram and Yelp for what feels like a lifetime. I was in the area for a meeting and on my way out saw a sign for Donuts Time Cafe. I couldn't NOT stop in. So I made a very abrupt left turn into the modest strip mall. The place is small but has a few tables. There were people that were enjoying their donuts right there in the shop. Why wait? I just wanted a quick treat so I perused the menu and opted for the Boston Cream. The owner creates your donut right there in front of you when you order it. He cut a fresh donut in two, smeared some cream in the middle and some chocolate frosting on top and that was that. I chatted with him for a bit before paying. He's incredibly kind and runs the shop with his wife. He was the only one there when I went and was handling the line like a pro, rushing no one or nothing. I'd recommend maybe calling in any large orders, I'm sure you can do that. My Boston Cream was soft and fresh and delicious. Sweet but not 'hurt your teeth' sweet. I am not even a big donut person but loved it very much. If I am being totally honest, I actually got the donut for my boyfriend but ate it before I ever got to him - oops. I'd say it's worth the drive for a big time donut aficionado.

Kevin B.

Yelp
This is there version of a scrambled egg. They were very rude when questioned. Poor customer service and very slow.
google avatar

Tricia G.

Yelp
It's been over 3 years since I've "partaken" in these incredible donuts. Donuts are one of my least favorite junk foods, but the ones here take donuts to a whole other gourmet level! I know that I had one with caramel and I had never, nor have ever since, had such a delicious donut! If you are going to indulge in a whopping of calories in one sitting - do it with one of these babies!
google avatar

Leena S.

Yelp
As far as donuts go, one word comes to mind... scrumptious. Donuts Time Cafe had been on my radar for some time, thanks to Yelp. I finally had the opportunity to try out these tasty baked goods. There are about a dozen different donuts to choose from. After struggling to pick 2 since they all looked so good, I opted for the Tiramisu and the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. Both were fluffy inside and had a great consistency; almost melt in your mouth. The Tiramisu was particularly yummy and on the pricier side at $2.50. It had a tasty cream filling. The Peanut Butter Cup topping was just ok. I felt it could have used more chocolate and peanut butter. Most of the donuts ranged from $1.39 - $1.85. I'll definitely stop by again to try out some of the other varieties.

Yelp
I would regularly see this place on my way to get groceries and I was always intrigued. It looked like a pretty unassuming spot, but I loved the name and thought it could be a hidden gem. I decided to check out some reviews on Yelp, and I guess it's not too hidden! I'm definitely a fan of a good breakfast sandwich (and a good donut!) so I decided to check it out today. I'm glad I did! I ended up getting the spicy chipotle florentine breakfast sandwich (with turkey sausage!) and it was very tasty. I'm kind of unsophisticated and love WAY too much chipotle mayo on my food, so the portion of mayo was a little small for me, but it still added a lot of flavor. The black raspberry jam donut was delicious - so soft and exactly the right amount of filling. The price point was excellent as well. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Angela A.

Yelp
Adorable little unassuming bakery! The moment you walk in you're hit with a sweet aroma of cake. There a plenty of options and unique versions for the everyday donut. The donut was decadent and soft! I loved the coffee cake donut - delicious. The cake itself is balanced and not excessively sweet, the toppings of course add alot more sugar but hey- you're treating yourself! right? I tried their breakfast options (#8 breakfast bowl) and loved the potatoes. Even if your not a kid this place makes you feel giddy and happy with all the pretty colors and options. They have a donut cake which looked beautiful and is a super cute and fun alternative to the traditional cake. I came in on a Saturday morning and was served within 20 minutes from my order. It may have been an off day or maybe they were swamped with orders but the customer service was not as awesome as the food they provided. However, it was my first time here and people are not robots so I still give them 5 stars for their creative ability to take a typical donut and make it super unique.
google avatar

Boobie B.

Yelp
Love the breakfast turkey, egg and cheese on a roll! The selection of donuts will have you buy a dozen or two! As you enter you are acknowledged with a friendly smile. This yummy blowing up my tummy is right around the corner which is not good because I'm gonna become a regular patron. Custom orders on their website www.donutstimecafe.com 1280 Rt 33 (across from Moe's) Hamilton NJ 08690 609-838-7976 Awesome, Boobie see you soon!
google avatar

ShaeandConnor O.

Yelp
Thus was a cute little place. The service was great and the food was even better. One of our new favorite quick breakfast spots! The breakfast sandwiches were great but the potatoes were the highlight of the meal and of course the donuts are out of this world.
google avatar

Beth W.

Yelp
Amazing donut creations!!! Don't walk... run there. Everything is always super fresh and delicious. Oh, btw they make amazing giant donut cakes too!
google avatar

William M.

Yelp
Not what I expected. We had porkroll egg and cheese sandwiches and a donut each. You order off the screen inside and wait like in a WaWa for them to bring your order to you whether to stay or go. The place really hasn't much atmosphere but breakfast sandwiches were tasty and service was good. What do you want? It's a doughnut shop people !
google avatar

Brad M.

Yelp
Great donuts and they're trying their best with "contactless" purchases. I always enjoy the maple bacon donuts the most. It would be nice if they made some gluten-free options as well.
google avatar

Brittany M.

Yelp
I wanted to absolutely love this place but when I compare it to other donut places I feel guilty giving it more than three stars. The customer service wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. While ordering, it felt awkward and we didn't have a warm welcome that you usually get in a place like this. Not only that but we were the only people there and when I went to sit at a table while my friends ordered their donuts, it was very dirty, I am guessing from previous guests. There were two men working there, so I am just surprised that they didn't clean up after the people who sat there left, especially since the table was the one closest to the register. They had coloring books and crayons at each table which I thought was really cute and great for families. The display of the donuts they had available was really nice also. As for the donuts... I like to get a bunch to bring home and share with my family. Strawberry Cheesecake Donut- this was by far the best donut I purchased and the only one that would coax me into coming back here instead of trying a new place. The cheesecake tasted really good and the donut was perfect consistency. Cannoli donut- I didn't feel like the cream had the consistency or taste of a cannoli so it was disappointing. Crumb cake donut- the crumbs were so small they were barely noticeable, this ended up just tasting like a regular frosted donut. Cream filled donut- pretty good, if cream is your thing. The powder gives it a nice compliment and helps keep the cream from being overpowering. Still, there was A LOT of cream and it had a very heavy consistency. Banana cream cheese donut- meh. I'm not sure if the very sweet donuts I has prior threw this one off but i didn't even want to finish my little 1/4 portion. Oreo donut- same issue as the crumb cake donut, it just tasted like a generic frosted donut The consistency of the dough was on point for all of the cupcakes. I just wasn't wowed by anything. My friends shared similar thoughts to my own, although one of them purchased the Tiramisu donut and she felt that was the best one, even better than the cheesecake donut. 3/5

Yelp
I love this place. They make the best donut cakes! Order it in advance. It taste so good. Very nice owners too.
google avatar

Mau P.

Yelp
I like Mueller's jelly donuts - so Donut Time's are a fail for me. The maples glazed with bacon are fantastic, as are their breakfast sandwiches.
google avatar

Colby W.

Yelp
Taste like homemade fresh donuts. As long as there is enough icing I highly recommend trying.
google avatar

Betty L.

Yelp
These are some of the best donuts I've ever had. I was wary that this place would be all hype, but they're legit amazing. My favorite are dulce de leche, French toast, and the cheesecake donuts. You know I liked them because I bought a whole bunch to try and made them into Pac-Mans. That's how you know they're good- when you can't choose and you get so many to make them into Pac-Mans. That means they're good. It might also mean that you're clinically depressed. But I'm not. I just really like donuts. And Pac-Man. The Boston cream is a ghost. He didn't get made into a Pac-Man. I hope he doesn't chase the other ones when I put them away in my fridge. But whatever, he's outnumbered. Sorry not sorry, Inky.
google avatar

Brittany M.

Yelp
There donuts are really cute and have some really interesting flavors but they are super dry not enough glaze to donut portion definitely need a coffee or a milk to help it down but other than that the flavor is good just dry
google avatar

Andrea T.

Yelp
I loved the convenience of being able to order online the night before. The donuts were fresh and the overthetop flavors wowed our out of town guests. But I still prefer a good, old, simple cider donut. Plus, I think I had a kind of sugar hangover after eating a whole donut.
google avatar

Marianne T.

Yelp
Celebrated our Easter on Saturday and picked up 15 donuts yesterday. The donuts were fresh and Uber delicious. The staff are kind and friendly. Forget Dunkin' these are donuts to get........ support small businesses.

Yelp
First time being at this location, and I want to say I am extremely happy that me and my partner got to experience this gem. We usually go to random locations in town but I am so shock that we miss this one considering how crazy close this establishment is by our home. I have to shout out to the kind and gentle lady who was at the register for guiding us and making this experience one we will not forget ! And to the cook , for preparing us some bomb food ! Trust me , I don't think me giving this review is enough praise for such wonderful service and amazing food provided today . Both went above and beyond for my small little family and this is included a small infant . I highly recommend that whoever is nearby this area to please give them a try ! You will not be disappointed Donuts are glorious by the way

Reid S.

Yelp
Such good doughnuts, Must have for bad mornings like Monday, and you can get your car washed!

Johnny O.

Yelp
These are the best donuts we have ever had. We have frequented this establishment probably more than 50 times since we have lived in the Hamilton area. The donuts are sensational. They taste like light cakes. My favorites are the French Toast which tastes just like a Texas Toast French Toast with a ton of syrup. My wife's favorites are the Chocolate Frosted donut and the Salted Caramel. But do not just visit for the donuts. The Breakfast sandwiches are fantastic. I get the Jersey Pork Roll, Egg and Cheese sandwich which can be served on what else? A donut. So I have it on my French Toast donuts and it is to die for. But wait, it does not end there. The Donuts Time cakes are fantastic for any occasion and you can have them customized. The staff is fantastic, too. So visit Donuts Time and become a regular like my family and many others.

Yelp
I was craving donuts one morning so I turned to Yelp to tell me what was good and this store popped up. So my friend and I hopped into my car and sped on over. Ambiance: Like most people have commented, this shop is pretty unassuming and almost easy to miss (thank goodness we didn't). We went relatively early on a Saturday (about 9ish).The shop was pretty quiet, but a few customers stopped in to pick up a box of donuts and left. The shop was clean and welcoming - decor is pretty minimal. Service: When we stepped in, the staff greeted us cordially and attended to us immediately. They waited patiently as we deliberated on the multiple options we were presented with. Quality: We decided to pick 3 donuts, and we settled on cookies 'n' cream, cheesecake, and fruit loop donuts, as those seemed to be the ones people seemed to rave about. Everything came out to something around $5-6, which is a pretty sweet deal (pun intended). I had to start another paragraph because I need you all to understand how GOOD these donuts were. They were absolutely PHENOMENAL. The quality was on point - soft and fluffy and not too crazy with the sugar. I think my absolutely favorite out of the three was the cheesecake donut. The textures came together real nicely and it was surprising not overwhelmingly sweet - just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. Something to keep in mind is that they do close pretty early on weekends. For the most part, if you get there early, you will have a lot of options to choose from. I highly recommend coming out here if you're looking for an indulgent treat. I'm counting down the days where I can go try a new set of donuts!

Yelp
Rt 33 Robbinsville/Hamilton/Trenton is a strip of mom and pop cafes, pizza shops, restaurants, joints, that I need to get out and explore being that the heart of it lies only 15 mins from the 08520. Always looking for a new breakfastyish place to try that doesn't require you to sit down and after reading the reviews I rolled on over this morning. The taste is equally as good as he aesthetics. Best Hits: French Toast Salted Caramel Caramel Choc Crunch Lemon Filled Quite bare bones on the inside and I was the only customer in the shop at 10am on a Saturday. Maybe some background music and some more patrons will keep you from calling your pharmacy and refilling your Welbutrin prescription. Still an amazing product being offered here!! Bring some to the office and impress your coworkers with luxury donuts!!!

Yelp
Donuts in this state are garbage. Your choices are basically Dunkin, or a few random duck donuts and let's be honest, that's just the same donut over and over with different glazes/toppings. So here is Donuts Time and holy crap, they make different kinds of donuts! Yea, they have a regular base donut that they frost a few different ways, but the coffee cake donut and lemon donut both use a different dough, and there are cream/jelly filled donuts here. I really liked the canoli cream donut, but I thought the bacon donut was a bit much. My only complaint is that some of these donuts don't really taste like donuts. The dough gets a bit cake-like, which I don't mind but my wife hates. Also, their standard base donut is a bit too large, and loses that fried quality you would get from a little smaller donut. That all said, these are easily some of the best in the state and everyone should try them.
