Wonderful antique shop. Emily and Francine are real sweethearts. 20,000 sq feet of beautiful European antiques, chandeliers and decorations. Definitely a must stop in New Orleans or if you're looking for French, Dutch, Indonesian, German antiques this place has it all and more! 10 out of 10! I'm obsessed!

Bought a custom table here last year. Within 6 months it was cracked and didn't fit together right. I asked them to fix it, they said I'd have to pay to transport it to them, so I fixed it myself. Then I asked they to polyurethane it so it wouldn't happen again and we could call it even and they ignored me. Very unimpressive.

Great place to buy beautiful furniture! The husband and wife team are wonderful people! They work hard on the floor with their employees getting everything together. They work as a team! Plus anyone that has a fur baby as their supervisor wins extra points w me!! 😉

Monica was so helpful and friendly! We loved all the treasures here and went home with a beautiful buffet!

Incredible selection! Dop's has new ownership, and you can tell immediately. The improvements on the operation are immense, the showroom is now an actual "show" room, and they've increased the inventory. They even have their own woodworkers who can do some custom work, repair, etc. Dop's Antiques not only has an incredible selection, but their prices are really good. From what I hear, other places buy from Dop's and then sell the items closer to the city center for a big markup, so this spot is worth the drive!!! We bought our wall decor and people are constantly asking us where we got it from. Don't miss out on this spot! Dop's is my go-to place to purchase for the home!

Michael sold this place. Stopped by today. It's cleaner and neater, but saw prices hiked up. New owner seemed friendly, time will tell if she can keep this place alive. DOP did great at moving volume, not hitting home runs. When a weird little Moroccan lamp is easily found on fleabay for 20bucks, you are gonna keep it forever at $170!!! Not off to a good start.🧐 But I wish you luck.

Emeril is so helpful showing the best and unique features of each stunning piece. The pieces are of the highest quality. Definitely worth touring their massive store!!

After finding out about Dop Antiques through a local interior designer and following them on Instagram a gothic style cabinet popped up ina post and I had to have it. Upon arriving to the store the staff was above and beyond helpful when it came to searching for a makers mark including removing the pegged pieces and providing additional lighting and educating us on what they knew about the piece. After purchasing that piece we roamed the store and were shown another new piece that had come in, a chest that held wine bottles. We held back then but when their Memorial Day sale came around we found ourselves back in the store hoping the chest was still there. Luckily for us it was!! Staff was once again super friendly and helped us load it into our vehicle after purchasing it. They do have a local contact who delivers if needed, which we are doing for the first piece at a very reasonable price. All around a wonderful experience at Dop Antiques where it is easy to get lost in the maze of beautiful furnishings and chat with the great staff.

Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous furniture seems like antiques mainly imported from Europe. They are stunning and the place is huge with lots of goodies! However, the prices are retail. For me Personally, I cannot pay retail, I have kids and can't have pieces that I would cry over them getting scratched. But seriously a great place. The door is difficult to find. You have to pull around the back of the building and go in a random door with a spray painted sign saying antiques. That said the pieces are unique and beautiful. Very worth a visit.

I have set foot into the world of adulthood people! My mom had a custom table made here and I really liked it. She suggested I come here and get one for myself. They have a lot of furniture to choose from, but they will also make certain pieces. I opted for a round table with a pedestal base. The owner and sales associate made sure I would get what I really wanted. The turnaround time was fairly quick..abt 2 weeks. I absolutely love the finished piece! The owner even added a few details to the top bc i mentioned I like a table that had some intricate knicks in it. Staff was super helpful. Highly recommend this place if you would like a quality piece of furniture.

We've shopped Dop several times over the past few years, but due to a recent renovation, we've had the need for a few pieces of furniture that put them back on our radar. It's such a unique and fun place to shop... or just look around. Unlike most other traditional antique stores, Dop doesn't have nicknacks, dishes and clothes... thankfully! What they do have is an unbelievable array of European antique furniture, architectural pieces, mirrors, lights, etc. If it's something specific you're after, give Michiel and his friendly, knowledge staff a chance to find it for you. They know the inventory and are happy to help. They can also tell you some fascinating facts about many of the pieces, including era, country of origin, possible uses, etc. Don't be afraid to negotiate... within reason. They offer delivery as well, so let them help you make your home a little more interesting!

Me and Shari V really like this place. We needed a few things for our dining room and living room. Dop showed up big for us. Most of the antique stores we had visited totally turned me off from antiques. They were well out of our price range and had limited inventory. Dop had a ton of stuff, some of which was in our price range. It's warehouse style so dress like you'll be outside. I wore workout clothes when we were there in August. It got hot. But they have so much good stuff. Some of the items are reproductions. The sales team was upfront about it. Just something to keep in mind. We liked the sales people we worked with. They were nice and helpful without being pushy. We asked and received discounts on the items we purchased. Overall, I strongly recommend Dop. I like this store and I really like the items we've purchased from here.

I was looking for a REALLY specific piece of furniture (and felt like Goldilocks while hunting...this piece is too wide; this one is too short; this one is just right...oops, look at the price). And Dop actually had something that was sort of perfect...except that it was a real antique (they also sell reproductions) and was ebonized wood AND was inlaid with real ivory. So even if I had been tempted (not at that price point), the ivory might have been a deal breaker because it kind of creeps me out. This is a hot warehouse and it's dusty so be prepared. And a staff member was there to help me within moments of entering their space. They have a constantly rotating selection of interesting items. I will be back again.

Some nice stuff, if a bit overpriced, but the ethics of the owner Michiel Dop are extremely questionable. We purchased a nice piece that ended up not fitting through a doorway so we couldn't keep it. The owner had said he would resell it for us, for a fee, but he kept both the piece and our money and pretended he didn't know what we were talking about. We had to go to the store with a receipt and prove that the item had been resold for him to give us a much smaller refund than he had originally promised. Only by refusing to leave the store did we at least we get something.

The owner, Michael, was exceptional to work with in building our custom conference table. Beautiful work, can do attitude and great service. So happy to have found this spot, highly recommend

I had searched Google for antique stores to shop while I was in NOLA and found Dop. It's a fantastic store! It's affordable, the options are numerous and then if you just want to gawk at some pretty amazing pieces, you can do that as well, because there are several rooms to gawk and or shop in. I had toured several stores in the city center and the prices were through the roof, and I am from Chicago! The employees at Dop were fantastic and super helpful in pointing out pieces of interest. I just wish I could ship back the stained glass windows and table that I wanted. That call may still take place. :) Thanks Michiel and staff!

Don't judge this book by it's outside jacket! (Also, don't let this secret location become too well known!) Containers arrive from Europe every 3-6 weeks (and there is an e.mail notification to which one can subscribe) replenishing the sprawling stock of decorative and functional treasures. Items range from small and decorative to huge and stately, originating from diverse European backgrounds spanning many centuries and periods. The owner and staff are vey helpful, though also respect wishes for folks intent on exploring at their own pace. While they usually have an idea of what is arriving on future shipments, there is always room for surprises. They also offer help if seeking unique items for special room needs. The building also hosts an air conditioned carpet and rug gallery from a separate entrance, with a huge inventory.

This place is da place to spend the afternoon! So much fun stuff!! All kinds of hidden treasures! The cool thing about DOP is they rent their treasures out to Movie sets and interior design companies so no matter the price listed on the item, that is not the price you pay. You can plan at least 20% off the price listed maybe even more! It depends on the item and how many times it has been rented and how long it has been in their inventory. Lots of knowledgeable sales staff. They have lots of European Antiques in stock but that's not the only thing. Don't be in a rush while you are there. Happy Hunting!

The piece purchased was modified upon shipment and they were very dismissive and unwilling to complete the transaction in a professional manner when the item arrived. Poor customer service, ruins the whole experience. Shop elsewhere.

Gave me a great deal on a beautiful piece. Also fixed it for me for a reasonable price. Very professional and would definitely come back for future pieces. Thank you for your work, DOPS

Nice selection of inventory. Spacious showrooms in their warehouse building. The quality is sometimes questionable on the furniture. The pricing across the board is generally significantly above fair market value.

2nd visit here within 6 years. There was a lot of new inventory to browse. Imported pieces from Holland, Scandinavia, etc. English antique pieces . Reclaimed lumber, wrought iron fences, authentic antique cast iron beds tons of decorative mirrors, chandeliers, and much more.

Very large space (20,000 square feet) with a variety of pieces (many of which are pretty cool), but seems a bit overpriced. They did say they are open to negotiating, but in general, prices seemed 30-50% more than expected. That said, given the huge inventory, I'll probably end up buying something here at the end of the day.

Wow!!! I stumbled upon this place by accident, and I am in shock. There is so much stuff here, and the employee told me they were running low on inventory. They were so extremely helpful by showing us around and offering us water and telling us store secrets. The selection is amazing. They also make custom furniture.

The single most important attribute of an antique store is the integrity of its owner. If I could give M. Dop 0 stars I would do so. Years ago I made a cash purchase of twin beds. I was unable to arrange timely delivery, so the beds were re-sold to another customer and I was issued a "credit." Everytime I attempted to use this credit, the item that caught my fancy online was "just sold." Finally, I had a friend inquire online about another item- and it was available. I then called, named the item, and asked to have my credit applied to its purchase. Items never arrived. Whenever I called and asked to speak to Michael, I was told he was with another customer. No return call. No response to No response to multiple emails. Where I come from, we call that "theft." I long since lost my copy of the receipt. So no justice for me unless I get it from you, gentle reader. Take your money to a dealer with a sense of honor-NOLA is full of them.

Dop Antiques has proven again and again to be a treasure trove. Go even if you don't need anything - the items you see will surprise you. I know I'm going to fall in love with something every time I walk in, something interesting and with history, something I never knew I needed. Beautiful pieces, some in excellent condition, some needing a little love (which they provide on site if you're not up to the task yourself). The staff, especially Anthony, Anastasia, and Angelle, are as friendly and helpful as they come.

I bought a crystal chandelier from them that was hanging up. They had another one in the showroom of lesser quality. When we went to pick it up they had crated the chandelier. When we got it home we realized that they had obviously substituted the lesser quality one - no wonder it was crated so nicely because it kept us from inspecting it on pick up. I will NEVER buy from them again!

Pretty pricey and there are a good bit of new things in there, but it's a good resource if you need an $800 dresser or a settee bench. Basically a large warehouse that seems to get new inventory frequently. Check it out for yourself if you're looking for furniture.
