I sat in for dinner on a Sunday evening. We had the seafood paella, the pesto pasta, and the Causa! The food was amazing. I didn’t know what I expect as I’ve never had Peruvian food but I think it’s my new favorite spot!! Ingredients were so fresh and flavors were incredible. The atmosphere was also very cute - great vibes, fun bar and good drinks. Highly recommend!

Go with a group or date night, for the Paella, which is tasty. The portions of seafood Paella is a lot and flavored very well. They also have squid Ink and vegetarian options available. We shared a two different Paella and had extra for lunch the next day. The food is presented very well by the chef. The owner is their greeting tables and welcoming you as you enter from the street. The bartender (un buen hombre) is very good with a warm personality...they only have beer and wine at this time but he does a great job making various flavors of sangria passion fruit being my favorite. Also very good happy hour drink specials. We have added this to our neighborhood dinner rotation and recommend you try them out.

I broke veganism for this AND IT WAS SO WORTH IT. As a second gen Peruvian I am super picky about my Peruvian food. I went with some friends on a Friday night and we were treated like royalty. The chicha morada was just like my grandmas. We stuck to sea food and ordered choros a la chalaca, pulpo al olivo, ceviche mixto with a side of sweet potato, arroz con mariscos, and Lucina ice cream for desert. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The ceviche selection was impressive and next time we’re definitely trying something a little less conventional. The pulpo al olivo was my favorite. The octopus was grilled to perfection and the balance with the potato capers and olives really hit the spot. My friends were delightfully surprised to find scallops in the arroz con mariscos. They had delicious sangrias as well and I was assured that as soon as they get their liquor license they’ll have pisco sours to boot. I can’t wait to come back!

I love this place so much. The waiter is so amazing and kind. I always feel so welcomed here and have a blast. The drinks are delicious and if you come here you have to try their sangrias! Absolutely love this place I go all the time :)

I was very excited to try this place since I saw that they were opening a ceviche restaurant right near me! We got the causa limena for an appetizer and the steak and ceviche. The portions were big and everything was delicious. Can’t wait to come back!

I'm a regular customer for this amazing place... I'm truly upset on how someone can make such a hateful action towards a family owned restaurant. This place is spotless, food and service are always on point. On top they don't even have those type of plastic bags for to go. That lady who wrote that horrible review, the owners know exactly who it was. And it's sad that someone's hatred can go that far. But they will continue to be a successful place where we can amazing peruvian food. A little piece of Peru in our community.

Dora’s is amazing! Great vibes, clean, good music and delicious food. The food is served in good size portions and the service impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff. I ordered the arroz con mariscos (rice with seafood). I will definitely be back to try their ceviche!

We came here on a random weekday and saw that there was a happy hour! ($5 beer, wine and sangria) which is such a good deal in this neighborhood. When we walked in, the place was empty and the servers were so attentive and friendly. They gave us complimentary bread with this delicious yellow sauce that I asked for more of to add with every meal. They recommended the octopus which was crispy and hot, but it wasn't my favorite. The seafood paella was pretty good but more "wet" than I imagined. Definitely will come back to try other things, but very happy I got to try this spot.

My husband and I came in tonight using the Cuculi app (which lets us order and pay on our phones, awesome app). The restaurant is so nice. I love the decor with all the lights, the seating area is nice and comfortable, music was great. All around great ambiance, we were excited for the place. Had a beer and wine, all great and brought out quickly. Service was top notch. The waitress was probably the best part. She was so nice and personable, and I wanted to stay longer because of her. But after our wines, sadly it went downhill. The problem is with their kitchen. It took an hour for a ceviche order to come out. The waitress kept saying our food would come out but it was out of her hands. I saw the manager come out at one point, seemingly aware of the delay but didn't do anything about it or come say anything to us. Then when the ceviche came out, it was served warm! It wasn't good. Shrimp was overcooked, fish was warm, leche de trigre was bland, it just wasn't good. Even the plate it was served on was warm. Several other tables left disappointed with the kitchen delays, so much so that when we were still waiting for any food we were the last ones or second to last there (9pm on Friday night). We just closed out on the app and left. I am disappointed because this place has great ambiance, great staff, and good potential. I'm also Peruvian so really wishing a good Peruvian place could open in the city. I won't write it off and will be back. But they need to do something about the kitchen!!

This new Peruvian spot is an easy new staple. SO amazing all around! First and foremost, phenomenal food. We got the bruschetta and the ceviche citrico. Both fantastic. The ceviche was a generous portion which I was happy to see. They also have great drinks, including a million different flavors of sangria! Service and ambiance also on point. Happy hour includes $5 drinks and half off apps. Stellar.

One of the BEST happy hours in NYC. Where else can you $5 cocktails (aperol spritz, sangria, etc) and half-priced appetizers? The star of the show was the ceviche mixto, even though it wasn't part of the happy hour deal. Our servers also were so sweet and nice.

The food is too salty, not good for health! The happy hour drink is worth the price. However, the size of the happy hour appetizer is too small!

Great spot! Had great ambiance and even better service! The bartender was super friendly and helpful. Ceviche was great too! Definitely will be a regular spot. Excited to see what else is to come in the future here!

I'm supposed to go but for the past two days I have been trying to call them and they don't pick up the phone. After a few calls they take phone off the hook. I tried for 5 hours yesterday and I have tried calling this morning 8 times. Very bad customer service when they don't attend customers on phone.

I had the Lomo Saltado, the flavor was unique and delicious. Just the right amount of heat with flavor. Used the bread to soak up the sauce as I didn't want to go to waste. They give good amount of wine in their glasses. Service and atmosphere was fine. Definitely going back again to try their other dishes.

Wow! What a cute little place to stumble upon on a Friday evening. Augustine was just lovely inviting us immediately in for the spectacular $5 wine happy hour (say less). Then served some delicious bread and tomato sauce to pair. Will be back to try the full menu!

Food was authentic Peruvian. Very good. Service was quite slow even though there wasn't many people. Nice location Ambiance was good. Need to get a liquor license for Pisco sours.

When we first got there I was alarmed because no one was eating there, especially for a Friday night. But I really wanted paella and it's hard to find so I convinced my husband we should try it. The bread was good which seemed like a good sign. The paella took a long time to arrive which again is fairly customary with paella. And it looked good in its pan, everything in its place. But as soon as we took our first bite we knew we'd made a mistake. It was clearly spoiled. My husband stopped eating immediately whereas I tried to convince myself it wasn't too bad. But I had to stop soon too. The price was fair but that far from made up for a bad experience. Although the large video screen with a Latin band was fun, the music was continual disco. When we left I said, hmmm, maybe it was a front. And my husband said whatever it was... And 24 hrs. later he had diarrhea.

These are our next door neighbors. Don't let the high entree prices fool you. They've got an amazing happy hour from 4pm - 11pm. Great prices. And the Pulpo appetizer is amazing. Nice staff and good food

Despite the kind (though sparse) service, we were ultimately very disappointed with this place. On the positive side, they give VERY generous wine pours and have a decent happy hour. Unfortunately, the food is just not good, especially for how expensive it is. We ordered yuca fries, camarones al ajillo, and the pollo citrico. The fries were fine, very basic for $12. The pollo was just okay served with mashed potato and white rice and for a staggering $38. The camarones were severely overcooked and rubbery, and only 6 pieces of shrimp for $20. That's a total of $70 for food ranging from bad to just okay. Beyond that, there was a party in the back playing very loud music off YouTube, so there were ads running every 10 minutes or so. I definitely recommend skipping this place and going to Casa Adela on C where we get half a chicken and arroz con gandules for $20.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! A friend and I came here on a Thursday night and were treated with the best service and hospitality! The food was delicious and fresh and our waiter Agustine was extremely attentive and friendly. They gave us complimentary cheesecake and homemade pisco shots. I can't recommend this place enough! The LES has gained an amazing restaurant And I can't want to come back!

This place is AMAZING!!!! The food was all so fresh, delicious, and filling. Our server was so kind and helpful to us. The music is fun and hip, the decorations are beautiful, it's clean and nice, comfy lighting. 10/10. My favorite dish that we got was the Pulpo Al Olivo. Make sure you get the Pisco-- it's a Peruvian alcohol that's DELICIOUS (:

Dora's is a really great addition to the neighborhood! Augustine gave us A++++ service, and the happy hour deals are fantastic. Food and drinks were all delicious, we'll definitely be back!

food was okay expensive for the quality of meat served for lomo saltado ($38) portion was average. the loud electronic music seemed to be better appropriate for a night club. the door was open and we were cold even though seated in the back. since there was only 2 tables we thought we would have better service this was not the case. There are so many better alternatives.
