Dorothea Hotel, Budapest, Autograph Collection

This was my third time in this hotel, and I can't wait for the next time.|First of all the hotel is beautiful, every little thing is beautifully designed. |The location is perfect. A short walking distance from.the Danube, shopping district, excellent restaurants, the cathedral. Very central.|The staff are great, very welcoming, very helpfull, courteous and always with a smile.|The rooms are specious, sparkling clean and beautiful.|Highly recommended.

Very disappointing experience for a 5-star hotel. We stayed at Dorothea Hotel Budapest for the New Year’s celebration, and unfortunately the service and cleanliness were far below expectations. The room door lock was not working properly. We paid €100 for our dog, yet the dog bowl provided was dirty. The tissue box was empty on arrival. Towels and bathrobes were taken away but not replaced, despite being left on the floor as requested. Housekeeping took more than 2 hours, and there was visible dust under the bed. Room service was announced as 20–30 minutes but arrived after over an hour, and the food was only lukewarm. Breakfast service was chaotic, with coffee arriving last as staff appeared overwhelmed. For a 5-star hotel, it is also surprising that there is no comfortable lounge area to sit and relax warmly. Overall, this stay did not match the standards or price of a luxury hotel. Disappointing.

This is comfortable, modern hotel in the heart of the city, I especially loved the giant bathroom and slept very well. Breakfast is sumptuous as well. My only complaints are the layout of the room, a bit strange to have two steps to go to the living area. feels a bit disjointed and doesn't function as well as it could (maybe make this area more dedicated to work than relaxing at a low sofa next to a tall table), as well as the service in the bar/restaurant, who did not offer me the included Titanium elite happy hour menu even after asking for it. An oversight, yes, and nothing major, but the only things that made this stay imperfect, but one I would be more than willing to repeat on my next trip.

Lovely hotel in a perfect location for exploring Budapest. Literally 30 seconds from one of the main Christmas markets, but the hotel was peaceful and quiet. All the staff were very friendly and helpful - incredibly quick to sort any minor issues or requests. We appreciated the great concierge who helped us find restaurants. We had breakfast on the final morning only, as we didn't otherwise want a large buffet breakfast and the price felt high if you only want something small. However it was excellent with a lot of choice, delicious food, great service and good value for money for what you get. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was amazing, my wife and I both loved it. The room was really nice, and large with an awesome bathroom. The breakfast is top notch with 100's of options. Location, wow, it is right in the middle of everything. 5 min walk to pretty much all the sites except the baths and the big park by them, sorry forgot the name. Only thing that would have made this perfect is if the room had not been so hot. I know europeans like to be hot, but turists coming from say Texas, we want it cool. Not being able to ope the windows or cool room with AC is only reason this is not 5 dots.

The staff makes the place! They are amazing. The front desk, the restaurant, concierge and the service attendants, all of them. Laura and Lola at the front desk and Annah and others at the restaurant especially stand out. The location is fantastic. Very convenient. Rooms are new and sleek. One reason though I am giving it 4: some rooms are noisy because of underground train, automatic AC settings shld be taken off and there was another issue

Our stay at the hotel was magnificent. Sophia , who checked us in, was an exceptional hostess. She gave us a warm welcome, and was very thorough in sharing the various amenities at the hotel. She was very thoughtful with sending us an anniversary gift and the happy hour was a very pleasant experience. I'm lifetime titanium and was upgraded to an amazing city view suite. We wish we could have stayed longer, but will definitely be back.

Beautiful hotel, amazing staff and super festive during Christmas. Welcomed with a drink upon arrival, and super friendly and professional staff. The whole hotel was extremely clean and all the cleaning staff were super friendly as well. The spa area is beautiful and very relaxing. I would highly recommend and i would definitely return.
