The hotel is visually stunning. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.
When we checked in, our room was extremely dusty, with large dust bunnies in the corners and on the furniture. I have a dust allergy, and this made the stay quite uncomfortable. We reported the issue to the front desk, and while the night staff was friendly and did their best, every room we were shown as an alternative had the same problem. Eventually, we were promised a properly cleaned room later that evening — but even that one had visible dust.
At checkout, the staff downplayed the situation entirely. I followed up with the hotel after our stay, and now, 3.5 weeks later, I’ve still received no compensation — despite being promised it multiple times. To make matters worse, I’ve now been told that I was given a new room, which is simply not what happened. It took hours, multiple room changes, and personal effort from their staff just to get a room that was barely acceptable.
There are many hotels in Gothenburg that offer both style and genuine hospitality. Dorsia, unfortunately, has shown neither. I cannot recommend it.
