"New York-based Dos Caminos is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Christmas Day in the Queen City. Head to this casual, bright, loudly-decorated joint for the opposite of a traditional Carolina Christmas dinner. It’s got birria tacos, enchiladas, and mole short ribs. Maybe even get a margarita —  it’s Christmas." - Kayleigh Ruller

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As soon as we walked in, we were greeted right away. Even though our whole party hadn’t arrived yet, they still went ahead and seated us, which was really nice. They validate parking, and the lot is conveniently located right behind the restaurant. The staff was super friendly. Our waiter was great—very interactive, made us laugh with a few jokes, and made the whole experience even better. There was also a photographer going around taking pictures of guests, which added a fun touch to the evening. We tried a variety of margaritas, and they were all delicious. The chips and salsa were amazing, and we added the queso—highly recommend! The food came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Overall, this place has a great atmosphere, great service, and even better food. We’ll definitely be coming back!

I love Mexican-style restaurants and was really excited to try Dos Caminos, especially for the drinks. Unfortunately, my experience here was less than enjoyable due to the poor service. My friends and I were seated and then had to wait 35 minutes just to get water. We weren’t attended to at all during that time, which honestly left me frustrated. I had to ask a waiter walking by if we could at least get some water since we saw a family sitting next to us being greeted with water and proper service. Once we finally got a waiter, we were able to enjoy the meal. The food was honestly amazing—the mac and chorizo was so good, I’m still craving it. I also ordered the Pollo Ranchero, which was fantastic. My friend had a burrito and really enjoyed it too. The drinks were great as well, I had the frozen margarita called El Jefe, which came with a cool ceramic skull souvenir. It’s $25, but for the size, it’s not bad. Despite the great food and drinks, the service was really disappointing, and unfortunately, I won’t be returning. It’s a shame because the food was definitely worth the visit, but the service made it hard to enjoy the experience.

We stopped in for a bite and tried the nachos, they were seriously good. Fresh ingredients, great flavor, and a solid portion. The vibe of the place was nice too, with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely planning to come back and try more of the menu.

We visited this place for the first time on a Thursday afternoon while exploring Charlotte. The outside sitting was interesting but we sat inside because it was getting chilly. The food was delicious, there was music playing the whole time, and the server was great checking on us often. We had the frozen traditional margarita, a passion fruit margarita, and we shared the shrimp fajitas…enough food for two people! They also being chips and salsa. Overall, a great experience.

Google
I recently popped into this venue for nachos and was happy I did. It was a really cool atmosphere with outdoor and indoor dining spaces and they had good music and service. I came during the lunch rush and it was still able to get seating & service quickly. I enjoyed my food and would certainly go back.

Visited with a friend for his birthday. We both enjoyed our dinner and the drinks were delicious. The decor and wall art are stunning. Highly recommend.

Google
We tried the Birria Tacos & Skirt Steak Asada. Both were delicious. I just had a hard time eating my hot meal in the back section of the restaurant because there was no A/C. The front area seemed to have some A/C which was nice as I walked out but the area I was seated in felt quite hot which made it difficult to enjoy my delicious meal. Our server was also lovely and efficient.

Google
I really wanted to like this place but the food was not good at all. The decor is wonderful and my server was amazing!! My only complaint about the service was; when I left and the hostess looked right at me but didn’t thank me or say anything. It was 4pm on a Monday, so extremely slow. Chips and salsa were amazing and house made. The michelada was good and an amazing selection of tequilas. However, it was the worst birria taco I have had; and I have had them across the entire US. The shell was extremely dry. It’s like they put it on the grill to crisp it but didn’t put any butter down and it just kinda burned itself away on the grill. The quantity of meat and ingredients were also lacking. The consomé is a thick sauce here, reminiscent of A1 sauce. All the consomé I have had are normally thinner and more soup like. I almost ordered the queso with chorizo but really glad I didn’t. The small queso that was brought out had separated. The cook heated it too fast and too hot. Lumpy queso…gross. If the older white woman with glasses in plain clothes is a manager, she just sat in the back table on her phone the entire time. I understand this place is new, but no one other than my server talked to me or came up to my table. And again, it was a Monday at 4pm. This place has great sidewalk presence and an amazing patio area. The manager or workers should be standing outside talking to potential customers and bringing people in. Just my 2 cents. You guys won’t make it a year unless things change. I wish you all the best, great potential.

Yelp
My friend and I went for after dinner margaritas and not only did they have a wide variety but they were also pretty yummy. The bartenders answered all of our questions about the different options they had and were the perfect amount of letting you have your space and assisting. We had the Queen City (11/10) and the Great Escape (10/10). We will definitely be going back!

BJ S.

Yelp
We visited Dos Caminos during Queen feast restaurant week. We started with the chicken taquitos and camerones alambres. The taquitos weren't anything special. We both agreed, they needed a little more flavor and should've come with a salsa/dipping sauce. The shrimp were good, but the bacon was a little overpowering and didn't allow the shrimp to shine. For the main courses, we got the chicken ranchero and the skirt steak asada. The skirt steak was definitely our favorite thing. It was very tender and had great flavor. It also came with a very tasty queso sauce and smoky pinto beans. The culmination of all the flavors was great! The chicken ranchero was decent but not on the same level as the steak. The chicken was dry but did have good flavor. The same can be said for the rice. Lastly, we finished with the churros which was a great way to end the meal. They had a nice crispy outside and a soft/creamy filling. Also, the dipping sauces that it came with complimented the churros nicely. Service wise, it was good until we got forgotten about once we finished our dessert. Overall, pretty decent experience, but nothing to write home about.

Kalimah M.

Yelp
1.5 stars for location and the chips and salsa. Everything else was pretty poor. Our server was often missing in action. My fish tacos were served in hard and stale corn tortillas. I sent them back and the manager offered flour tortillas in replacement.. I would have preferred the fresh "homemade" SOFT corn tortillas that were mentioned on the menu. My biggest gripe is that the black beans are cooked in lard (pork fat) and no vegetarian beans are available as an alternative on the menu despite them offering vegan/vegetarian taco options that without asking would normally be served with the pork beans. That should not be the case and they should be noting that on the menu so that customers are aware! I won't be back and wouldn't recommend if you have dietary restrictions such as I do (pescatarian).

Karen N.

Yelp
Loved it! Dos Caminos is such a great spot. The chips and salsa were a highlight--the salsa had a delicious kick without being overwhelming, which I really appreciated. The queso was amazing; I'm still dreaming about it! My overall experience was fantastic. Our waiter, Brandon, was awesome and so knowledgeable, recommending delicious food options that truly enhanced our meal. The atmosphere was energetic, and the churros were super tasty--such a perfect way to end the meal! That said, I wasn't a fan of the guacamole--it just didn't meet my expectations and felt a bit off compared to the other dishes. I'd definitely come back. I recommend giving Dos Caminos a try!

Jessica G.

Yelp
What a cool spot! The service by our server, JC, was awesome. The salsa was a unique different flavor feels like it had more cumin than most places, but we liked it. I had the shrimp dish and it was super flavorful and my kiddo had the cheese quesadilla, which was solid and perfect for all your kiddos. Margarita was tasty with a Taheen rim and the whole restaurant decor was super cute along with the festive Spanish music. Would definitely come back.

Reana K.

Yelp
I came here when I visited my brother in Charlotte. We like to bar hop while strolling the city. I was craving a margarita and we decided to give this place a try. I've seen it before in my previous visit to see him, so I was pretty glad we got to come here. From the service to the prices, everything was pretty decent! We sat at a bar table and had some chips and salsa with our margs. They have a big menu and a variety of things to pick from. Definitely recommend if you're visiting the area!

Chantelle B.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place, the atmosphere was a vibe, the service was beyond amazing and don't get me started on the food and drinks . We made reservations for Valentine's Day and seated right away. Ordered the guacamole & queso with our salsa and chip sampler. Wow the freshest guac I've ever had made to order, the queso was delicious and you can taste the quality cheese. The skirt steak asada was juicy packed with authentic flavor. The camarones alambres was a huge game changer for me, its sweet tangy and tender. Our son order the kids quesadilla which he loved as well, they filled it with so much chicken. The drinks were top tier, and they had a variety of selections for your liking. Highly recommend trying this place whether it's a date night or for a family dinner.

Jayme B.

Yelp
A friend and I came to Dos Caminos for dinner on a Friday. We got there around 4:45 and had to wait to be seated outside. There were open tables but we waited. The host said it would be about 20 min. After about half hour, we went to check on our table and we were able to be seated right away. That was odd. Anyways, we ordered guac as an appetizer. It was good, but I feel like it was a little pricey for the portion. For our entrees I ordered enchiladas and my friend ordered fish tacos. The food was good. Our server was cool too. This place is okay overall. It's a nice option for uptown.

Iman D.

Yelp
The location is amazing and decor is stunning however, the food was overpriced and average at best. Unfortunately, everything we ordered was underwhelming from the drinks to the apps and food.

Demetria M.

Yelp
I remember when they first opened across from my building, and I figured I'd give it a few weeks for the crowds to dwindle before I gave it a try. Well it's been months and I finally went over, but the crowds are still a thing so I went to the bar and ordered blackened fish tacos, and Mexican street corn. The fish tacos and corn, though overpriced, were amazing but my wait time was entirely too long for lunch. I love to see new eateries in uptown but if you're going to serve lunch it must be done timely as we don't have all day to wait for takeout.

Ted S.

Yelp
I recently visited Dos Caminos with my family, and we had a fantastic experience! The margaritas were top-notch--refreshing and perfectly balanced The tacos were amazing! The carne asada was tender and flavorful, the birria rich and savory, and the pollo was grilled to perfection. The chicken-pastor tacos offered a delightful mix of flavors that we all loved The chips and salsa were also great--crispy, warm chips paired with fresh, flavorful salsa Overall, Dos Caminos is a must-visit for anyone who loves great tacos and margaritas. We'll definitely be back!

Sylvia C.

Yelp
We left very full from Dos Caminos. While we looked over the menu, we had a big basket of chips and salsa served to us (medium spicy salsa). We got a small bowl of guacamole made fresh with avocados to go with our chips and meal, and I appreciated the lack of onions. For two of us, we chose shrimp enchiladas and battered fish tacos - both tasty and very filling! It's spacious, has a pretty big drink menu for both cocktails and nonalcoholic offerings. Is it authentic? Ehh. It is a great place to grab lunch and then get back to work!

Breanna S.

Yelp
Came for a visit for a work trip, first time to North Carolina and to Dos Caminos! First and foremost, the atmosphere was so cool, the restaurant has a cool vibe and definitely is popping after work hours. We had an event in the back room with other colleagues, and was definitely a great time! The service was impeccable, and I definitely thank them for their patience and for their responsiveness to multiple orders and the amount of people we had. The jalapeño margarita was delicious, if I come back, I'll definitely have it again. Additionally, the salmon I opted for with the bacon wrapped shrimp was pretty good, I wish there was more flavor, and the beans seemed to be baked beans rather than black beans or even re-fried beans that I'm used to in the west coast. Picky on my part, but something I noticed. The churros were pretty good, a bit doughy in the middle, but certainly was an enjoyed dessert by all. Overall, I wish there was more zest and flavor, something to consider. Great atmosphere and an overall good time!

Amber M.

Yelp
Dos Camino was surprisingly good. Most new places that are in uptown and that work well for lunch are a hit or miss. This was definitely a hit! My taco bowl was HUGE! Enjoyed lunch here with coworkers and had great service. I want to go back for happy hour and see what dinner is like! Conveniently located across the street from BOAT (BofA tower) which makes it easy to walk to for lunch outside of the office. Definitively will be back!

Tom C.

Yelp
Came with a small group from work on a Tuesday evening and to say the joint was jumping would be a big understatement. Crowded, loud and high energy. We had a reservation and were seated promptly and the chips/salsa followed quickly. We got some guacamole and queso for the table and both were good, especially when paired with the salsa which had a nice level of heat. We tried a variety of margaritas and everyone enjoyed their selections. For a main, I got the Enchiladas de Carne and I really enjoyed the flavors The service was good in general but not perfect as one of my coworkers got a chicken quesadilla when she ordered the cheese enchiladas. All in all I'd be happy to go again.

Kiara F.

Yelp
My cousin sent me a video of someone reviewing this place and I was sold once I saw the bacon wrapped shrimp. It was very flavorful. The mexican street corn was just okay. I wish it had more of the cheese and mayo. However the place is absolutely nice in the inside. We sat near the bar to watch the games. The food was fresh and overall a great atmosphere.

Jon L.

Yelp
All the good things. If you're going to the Valut for a game, this is your stop. The food, service and vibe is outstanding. It's two blocks from the stadium, right next to the Ally parking deck which is right on Good Samaritan & allows easy access and exit and for $30 bucks on game day is hard to beat for location. Me and Ben had tix for the Saints @ Panthers and wanted to get there early to see the kickoff. They open @ 11am on Sunday and accept reservations through Open Table app. You have the option of patio, dining room or bar seating. Very spacious, roomy and not too loud. We really liked the DJ spinning some nice latino vibes Carlos Santana. We both had the large Tortilla Soup bowl which is massive and delicious. We also shared the blackened baja fish tacos. We were watching the clock and our Server Nayeli was right there whenever we had a question or needed something more. Not a big deal but we had read all the great comments about the fresh made guacamole and how good it was but sadly that wasn't our experience. The chips and salsa were muy bueno! Soooo many great choices on the menu, something for everyone. We may have found our 'go to' pregame spot in the CLT!

A J.

Yelp
Glad we finally have a traditional Mexican restaurant with beautiful decor and big portions. I took my team for lunch so it was about 9 of us. Thank goodness I made a reservation as the place was packed on a Tuesday at lunch time. The appetizers were typical, chips and salsa (all you can eat), we ordered 2 guacamoles and the Mexican cornbread. The salsa was okay, not spicy at all and just kinda one note. The quac was the largest portion of quac I have ever seen. It was not well blended but the flavor was good. The cornbread was overly sweet so nothing else came through, no heat just sweet. Entrees came out quickly and were huge! My co-workers Cobb salad could feed 3/4 ppl easily. The fajitas were okay, the salmon had a too too sweet sauce all over it and on the plate. Plus it came with 2 bacon wrapped shrimp in a candy like coating...not good. Service was okay but it was the lunch rush. So IMO they need to revamp the water service by having refilled bottles of water on standby to swap out when a table needs more. We never got a refilled bottle. Soft drinks or at least cokes come in a bottle. So you are buying them by the bottle. No free refills. To me this is a mistake for a heavy lunch crowd. Finally when you bring the check, include an ink pen to sign. Again, being uptown and serving a lunch crowd, time is tight. I had to wait for the waiter post getting my card and check back. He never came, so I walked the check up to the hostess stand to get a pen. I would like to come back for dinner and try the margaritas and to give them another try.

Allison L.

Yelp
From NY and seen Dos Caminos in NY but never tried it. We had a private work dinner and wow, everything was delicious. Family style menu so we tried a little of everything. Definitely a solid place with great service and muy delicioso. Two thumbs up for Dos Caminos

Zach M.

Yelp
New York City prices in a town full of authentic Mexican spots. If you're in uptown and looking for upscale Mexican, Dos Caminos would be the spot. Fun decor and ample amount of tequila based cocktails(a lot of tables ordering the margarita tower). Great place for a work lunch or after work dinner. However, I thought the food was lacking flavor across the board and slightly over priced. We ordered guac, which was ample but at $15(small, $25 large), steep. Fajitas came with a condiment sized portion of rice and beans. Meat was pretty decent but only 3 tortillas. Tacos were traditional size but fairly decent. If you're looking for authentic, leave you with leftovers type of Mexican, there are better options. But if you're in uptown and looking for a quality meal or some drinks before going out, check it out.

Kathryn E.

Yelp
The ambiance and service here were lovely, but the food fell a bit short of my expectations. The positives were that the decor was fun and colorful and our server was attentive. I started with the guacamole which was a good portion size, but a bit plain. I maybe got one tomato every other bite and I didn't notice the addition of any other veggies or garnishes (like lime juice, red onion, cilantro, etc.). The caesar had a great base (loved the cornbread croutons!) but it got a bit redundant and plain. The cauliflower tacos were pretty good but also lacking in flavor (the rice seemed completely unseasoned- thought they might include Mexican rice rather than plain white rice). Overall a nice atmosphere, but food lacked compelling flavor for me personally!

Jeet G.

Yelp
We went here because it was located conveniently in Uptown on a Monday evening The ambiance was pretty quiet since it's a pretty large restaurant but not many people there so it felt empty. Everyone was sitting outside and the decor is very nice! Service was fast and very polite too! The food...not so much. The food is pretty pricey but not good quality. The salsa tasted watered down with minimal flavor. The guac was a small but came in a pretty large bowl (def enough to share between 4 people) but didn't have any flavor. No onions or cilantro and the avocado wasn't even fully mashed up. The restaurant only have Tabasco and Texas Pete for hot sauce (I was disappointed and really hoping for some type of Mexican hot sauce like Valentina, Cholula, or Tapatio). The cauliflower in the tacos were good but no flavor overall. The cesar salad was pretty good though (it had delicious cornbread croutons inside which I was a fan of) This was my take as a vegetarian, but hopefully the dishes with meat have more flavor. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place for people that don't eat meat.

C B.

Yelp
2nd trip with several colleagues was just as top tier as the first trip. The salsa is absolutely delicious. Service was quick and excellent.

Mike V.

Yelp
Enjoyed a dinner at Dos Caminos after a day at the convention center. Just a short walk around the corner, this spot is conveniently located. The interior is beautiful decorated with amazing paintings on the wall (it was so crowded it was hard to get pictures). The exterior wall opens to a nice patio space, making the interior fee much larger. The menu is a bit small, and rather pricey for Mexican food, but it was delicious. I opted for the chicken burrito which comes smothered in cheese, and it was great. I was a bit let down chips and salsa were not included, but apparently added cost. They have a full bar, and offer what appeared to be margarita towers, I'd never seen those before. It hit the spot, and I'd probably recommend to others

Rich Z.

Yelp
I like this place a lot. The bartenders are good. Ordered chips and guacamole. Very good. Not the best guac I've had, but quite good. Watched the baseball game at the bar. I like the ambiance.

Swaz F.

Yelp
We went here for Happy Hour so this is a review of that experience. We first sat at the bar then later got a table for 5 for after work drinks and snacks. Drinks were well made and the service was attentive even though they were quite busy. It got very packed and loud by the time we left. All of the snacks we ordered were delicious and I appreciated attentive waitstaff. Will definitely be back.

Lien D.

Yelp
Prime spot in the busy city to meet up and have brunch. They have a very cute patio and the restaurant was nice and clean. We were greeted immediately by the host and seated in the middle area between the outside and the inside. It was a bit humid so the seating location was perfect. We ordered the sizzling fajita plate and queso fundido. Everything was so flavorful and tender. Chicken had al pastor seasoning which was different but I liked it. The steak was juicy and flavorful. Queso fundido was addicting! We finished that whole thing and it was a good portion size! My fav was ending it with the most yummy churros I've ever had with vanilla ice cream on the side. I was really happy with our meal in Charlotte. Definitely will come back there next time we are in town!

Kyle B.

Yelp
Dedicated Yelper here. Came on a semi busy Saturday afternoon and was able to get seated quickly. Staff was friendly & accommodating. Was able to be seated in the outside area and do some people watching. Kept seeing people with this drink stand and realized it was the Patron Tower with a variety of flavors. It's a must. Please get it!! Got the Chicken Fajitas and Skirt Steak Asada. Great presentation on the Sizzzling Chicken. The Skirt Steak is 8 ounces and full of flavor. They are in a great location in bustling Brooklyn Village. I plan to be back. And highly recommend you give them a try also.

Tondra H.

Yelp
Yesterday evening while walking downtown for a pre-Easter stroll, we ended up at Dos Caminos. From the street it seemed to be a cool new people-watching spot. Lots of outdoor seating, large bar, good music. We didn't have a reservation but there were open seats at the bar. We ordered drinks, and eventually got a basket of chips and salsa after asking for them. The beef quesadillas were tasty. I asked for a side of sour cream, and someone brought out something a few moments later, but it wasn't the typical sour cream you get from similar restaurants. What I got was more of the white, thin sauce that looks like the sauce pictured on top of my quesadillas. I don't know if they have sour cream here or not, but I didn't get any. We also ordered beef enchiladas with the red sauce instead of white. That's a standard order we put in at Mexican restaurants without looking at the menu. Our server/bartender tried to accommodate. She said they don't have beef enchiladas on the menu, but she'd ask if they can make them. Great! Then she told us they don't have red sauce. Wait. Come again? lol. Wow. Seemed weird, but ok. Instead of getting enchiladas we settled for a beef burrito. It was pretty good. We also saw someone walk by with a flight of frozen drinks, so we went for it. Absolutely delicious. Every flavor. Pear was my personal fave and on a normal day I would pass on anything pear-flavored. Overall, it was a great time, we had a great server, and the food we ate did not disappoint.

Jordan B.

Yelp
From first glance and sitting down in the ambiance, Dos Caminos is great! Feel like I'm in a restaurant in Mexico on vacay! The food dishes that are coming out of the kitchen look amazing, fresh, plentiful - and they were just that! OMG! The skirt steak was absolutely tender, the shrimp was seasoned/cooked to perfection and SUPER flavorful! The drinks/tequila were top quality! So many to choose from and they were delicious! Upon entering and giving my name, the staff knew all of the details included in my reservation! That's quality service right there! For the official first day of opening on 3/19, they had it together for the most part! Staff was still getting acclimated but in a week, it will be beyond top notch! Can't wait to go back and try everything on the menu! I don't believe Dos Caminos will ever disappoint!

Wenzler B.

Yelp
Look and listen, if you like Mexican then this is for you! It's a great ambience with the culture oozing from the bar area to the counter tops. If you like steak fajitas they got it and great margaritas to taste always great waiters and welcoming staff. The weekends are very busy and that's a good sign. People love to frequent this spot and it's a great spot to take in the night life of downtown as well. Don't take my word for it go and invite friends and tell them "The Butler Brand" sent you!

Kay B.

Yelp
Dos Caminos is my go-to place in Charlotte for margaritas, this is my thirsty Thursday after work guilty pleasure. This restaurant is right in the middle of Uptown, next to the Mint Museum. If you ever come to visit there are several paid parking garages close by. Once you walk in the restaurant it is very active, always packed at the bar, several tables for small to large parties and outdoor seating is available. My favorite dish on the menu is the Mole Short Ribs, they slow cooked the ribs until it's very tender and the sauce and sesame seeds they put on top is so flavorful. It's come with Spanish rice and salsa. Definitely a hot item on the menu. I'm also a fan of the fish tacos, fish is lightly breaded with a lot of flavor and the sauces are delicious.

Neema B.

Yelp
I am impressed. Been excited about this spot for so long now that I had to check it out on opening day. It exceeded my expectations. For it to be their first night, service was very good. Management was attentive and they were very present. The interior is huge, plenty of seating to accommodate all party sizes. The decor is nice, the bar is huge and they have a mariachi band which is a bonus. Not sure if they play daily or not. I saw several dishes I want to try but when I saw fajitas came out on a platter for someone near me and I saw the size of the shrimp I couldn't resist. I ordered the combo steak and shrimp fajitas. The flavor was amazing. Portion was good. Everything was seasoned so well. I'll have to return to try the other things that caught my eye. I had the pineapple smoke cocktail and I loved it. Perfectly balanced sweet and smoky. I also tried the spicy cucumber mint which was very refreshing. I'll come back and try the strawberry tres leches. Not a huge fan of tres leches but I hear that dessert is bomb. The prices are average for uptown, but entrees may be priced a little higher than some other Mexican restaurants in the area. Parking is easy in a nearby garage behind the building, or if you come at the right time you might score street parking.

Carrie J.

Yelp
First time at the Dos Caminos! It was packed for lunch on Thursday on its 3rd day open. I love how many seating options there are both inside and out - they have the doors that open up completely so the bar area can transition seamlessly to the outside. Definitely a Mexican cantina vibe - so vibrant! Service was pretty solid - I know they are likely overwhelmed during opening week and there were a couple things in terms of speed to service and servers having conversations right behind our booth that were a little distracting but other than that, all good! Started with the queso with chorizo - so good!! The chips and salsa were good except chips were very salty. We got the taco plate - you can't mix and match but you can add additional tacos for $4/each. We got the birria and blackened fish - both were great! Don't sleep on the tortilla soup - it was the clear winner of our meal! Looking forward to going back and trying the margaritas!! There really isn't street parking to speak of but there are several parking decks near by and one connected to the building.

Ajay M.

Yelp
Food was good, service was quick and friendly, and the vibe is chill. Overall no complaints for Dos Caminos. The Cadillac Marg is a solid choice for a marg on the rocks and the Patron Tower is a good choice if you dig frozen margs. The quesadillas were good and you can't go wrong with their pollo or carne asada. They are also kid friendly, which is cool. Overall solid choice.

Cierra G.

Yelp
Quick drop in for a drink and side of street corn. Had the tropical storm which was refreshing with heat, well balanced. The street corn was really good 5/5. Sat at the bar and received complimentary chips and salsa. The place is pretty large with a bar and plenty of seating inside and outside patio. Would recommend and ready to try some of their entrees.

Jimmy W.

Yelp
Service was great, food was great too! I got the fajitas combo with chicken and shrimp mix and woo was it was tangy and spicy. It got all the flavors you wanted for Mexican cuisine. A come to place if you in the downtown area.

Yelp
The Patron Tower is such a fun way to serve margaritas! For $50, you get four amazing frozen flavors. It's well worth it in my opinion. I will order again and again! We loved the Camarones Alambres appetizer! The pepper jack-stuffed, bacon-wrapped shrimp with Chipotle BBQ glaze, cabbage slaw, jalapeño, and pastor mayo were delicious, especially in the tortillas they serve with it. The Dos Quesadilla exceeded all expectations - it's the best I've ever had (I'm not exaggerating)! I recommend trying it with carne asada beef for an unforgettable experience. When a craving for a burrito strikes, this place hits the spot! I opted for beef, and every bite was pure satisfaction.

Yelp
This place is located in downtown Charlotte, at a walking distance from the Mint Museum & BofA Stadium. They have the best ambiance and by far the best tasting chips and salsa. As expected, this place was packed on Saturday evening. Patio seating, a DJ on site playing cool Latin music, bar seating as well. I ordered tacos dr asada, the corn tortillas are handmade and very thick. Food was good, the friend beans w cheese reminded me of the authentic food I had when I visited Mexico. The interior decor is pretty cool. I think I got lucky but I would assume they take reservations. Anyhow, this is nice Mexican restaurant to visit again

Yelp
Mexican chain huge in NYC, now in uptown charlotte. Has a great big city vibe to the place. Lots of space and great music and very traditional menu. Tacos, burritos, enchiladas and margaritas! Our server was really good and filled every request we had without missing a beat. We made reservations for a Saturday night and got prime spot outside in the patio which also is a great people watching spot. They had a nice varied drink menu. Wine, beer, cocktails and margaritas. On our table we had the mezcal Paloma, grilled grapefruit, guava coco blossom, and a Dos Equis. All cocktails were really good and fresh, I just didn't notice anything grilled about the grapefruit in mine! The guava coco was a definite favorite! I liked the Paloma too. The chips and salsa was good too, for some bizarre reason they put chicken stock in their salsa and that was an issue as well had a vegetarian with us, Mexican food is usually great choice for vegetarians so didn't really understand the stock in salsa which was weird. For non veggies the salsa is still good ! Tasty. On the table we had several dishes. I had the Dos enchiladas, with chicken, half was salsa verde and the other half mole, so a little sweet. The chicken was good and the sauces were good but I'd have preferred all verde ! I loved their rice and refried black beans, really good and tasty. The burrito we got for our vegetarian without any protein. Stuffed with rice, beans, veggies and cheese, with a little salad. This was the only disappointment as it was kinda dry as she couldn't use the salsa and the pico was not really saucy more chunky , we ended up getting some queso for her to pour on top . Was better then. The shrimp enchilada suiza was also really nice and had great flavor and plenty of shrimp. Great sauce. The Oxacan shrimp quesadilla was good but again kinda dry. So with some salsa tasted better. All dishes served up a huge amount of food and we all enjoyed the experience there. Just suggest they have a vegetarian salsa for the future as they will have a lot of vegetarian diners. The place was busy and the staff seemed to flow well, food comes out in good time. It will definitely stay busy in this part of town ! Good vibe !

Yelp
Seems like there's a new taco spot opening weekly around here. At this rate, I'll be Taco Tuesdaying well into 2025! This week, we checked out Dos Caminos. Love the colorful decor and open air atmosphere. Our waiter was terrific, very knowledgeable and made good suggestions. I LOVE a good salsa and house-made chips. These did not disappoint. Once again I almost got full before my entree arrived. Almost. I really enjoyed my jalapeño margarita. It was fresh tasting with a good punch of spice. So you can't mix and match your tacos here. Like, what? I was so confused. Lol. Literally haven't run into that at any other place. So I decided to try the fish tacos. Yall the size of the pieces of fish in my taco was laughable. I mean, they were like fish nuggets--almost as if they took one small filet of fish and cut it into thirds. See pic. I'm used to tacos with a good about of meat/filling in them that it nearly falls out of the shell at other places. Guess I've been spoiled. They were tasty but we had to tell management about this. It was that bad. The manager was kind though and said he'd talk to the kitchen about it. He also gave us a free order of churros for the trouble. The rice was fine. Wasn't crazy about the beans. My companion enjoyed his shrimp dish (below). Hopefully these are early opening wrinkles that will be ironed out over time.

Yelp
My husband and I had a really excellent dinner experience at Dos Caminos! Everything was fabulous, from the vibe and service to our cocktails and food. Both of my cocktails were delicious, and we loved the guac and queso fundido (we literally scraped the skillet clean). Also, the churros! They are a must! The entrees were great too but the highlights for us were drinks, apps and dessert. We were SO full afterwards but it was super worth it. Highly recommend for date night!

Yelp
I've now been a couple times to the new Dos Caminos in Charlotte. Once for a birthday party for 10 girls. Dos Caminos accomodated our group and everyone was impressed with how quick the service was. The margarita towers are a MUST! The flavors are so tasty. The queso and guac was also delicious. All the entrees have been a hit as well. I even love the chicken quesadilla! I will definitely be back.

Yelp
This may be my new favorite Mexican spot in Charlotte! Love the location, vibes, drinks and food. To start with the good: my Queen City margarita was delicious. Love the charcoal agave syrup and the darkened sugar rim. For our meals, we went with the pork tacos and the shrimp quesadilla. Both were really good. The quesadilla was super cheesy and so large that I couldn't finish it. Also came with pico and guacamole. Not so good: although our server was super sweet, we had to track her down a few times. At the end of our meal, we waited for our check about 15 mins. Another server was able to grab her and the manager came by to clear plates and ask how our meal was so that was nice but would have loved just a sense of urgency after our meal considering how much you pay for parking here. The other not so good: price of parking. We were there for maybe an hour and a half yet paid 15 bucks for parking. Also 11 bucks to add shrimp to a quesadilla is wild but again, it tasted amazing so I can deal with that. Will def be back!

Yelp
Omg so much fun! We went here for Cinco de Mayo and was not disappointed! We did have a really long wait but it was worth it.

Yelp
So, I have been here twice now. Consensus after a few visits is it's great for drinks, NOT good for pricey food. Entrees like fajitas are $33, and not a large portion. Same with the steak and mole ribs. I also got the carintas tacos, and the amount of pork in each one was laughable! It literally was a tortilla with a tiny scoop of pork and a couple pickled onions. Such a waste. We were a table of 6, and no one was happy. I will say the drinks were great, though drink service was extremely slow. Margaritas are $15. It's a cool spot with potential, but the portions are way too small for what you pay.

Yelp
First thing first, make a reservation! This restaurant is extremely busy and pretty new so the buzz is out, and for good reason. We went on a Tuesday for my birthday. Reservations were set for 6:30 and the place was packed with people leftover from Happy Hour. We were sat within 10 minutes of our reservation time. We were sat in the back of the restaurant which was wonderful bc it was away from the noise at the front. Ambiance here is awesome. Lighting is perfect and seating and decor is spot on. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I suggest the fajitas. They are sure to be sizzling hot when presented. Other meals were the Skirt Steak Asada, Birria Tacos, Chicken Cobb Salad (this can feed two), and Pollo Tacos. Now, I will admit that I felt for the amount of food, the Skirt Steak Asada was way overpriced, but still very tasty. Additionally, the drinks were not cheap at all. One glass of wine priced at $13.50, and I am not sure what they charged for the margaritas as they forgot to print off the itemized bill. The skinny margaritas are awesome btw. Overall, the meals and the drinks were delicious. Lastly, I need to talk about our server V! She was excellent from the time we sat down! She was bubbly and enthusiastic and recommended menu items, and drinks. She was precise and diligent in getting both drinks and food to the table timely. Additionally, she made sure to clear finished plates from the table twice. She also brought us churros for the table for my birthday and had no problem taking a couple of pics for us. We will definitely be back!! Can't wait!

Yelp
Food is not good. I would not recommend coming here if you're hungry. If you're just grabbing drinks it would be okay though
