Dos Coronas

The food was flavorful, but as someone else stated, the shrimp was cooked dirty. Sangria wasn't very strong, yet very refreshing on a hot summer day. The waiter was awful. No personality, forgot my chips and salsa, had to ask even. They came after my meal. I asked for beans instead of rice, but got rice anyway. There are better choices nearby. You have to pay at the register, no table service which is super lame today.

This was the first time I have visited. This will be the first of many more to come. The service was great. I spoke with two employees, both we very welcoming and helpful. My co worker had a lot of questions, but the only I had was do you still have any cow tongue? The answer was yes, and we were both happy. A bad cow tongue tacos is still better than most, but these were awesome. Very very tender, incredibly flavorful. I got mine with just simple cilantro and onion with some salsa on the side. You can not go wrong with this combination. I am looking forward to the next time I am working in the area to come back for round two.

Have been here twice now. The first time was when Covid first hit, and I was not impressed in the slightest bit. The staff seemed less than enthused to be working, let alone having to deal with people for their job. When our food came to the table, it almost seemed like a stew because there was so much juice watering my plate and its contents down. Being completely honest, I just was not happy upon leaving, which means it just didn't hit the spot for me. However, we all deserve a second chance, and Dos Coronas has redeemed itself, to some extent. While I ordered my food to go this time, the girl who helped helped me when I got there still didn't seem to be happy about doing her job or couldn't even muster a smile while doing it the food was much better and my craving for a good authentic Mexican style meal was met. I will go back again and maybe try to give the person working more of a positive vibe and maybe I'll get the same in return .......or at the very least maybe it will help them with their bad day, hopefully.

Everything we had was delicious, especially the pork burrito. Quesadilla and arroz con pollo was very flavorful and the child steak and fries was a very nice portion. Michelada was excellent as well. Finally, the waitress was very friendly and attentive. Best Mexican food experience that I have had in a long time.

What's not to like about this wonderful family owned local restaurant. Always friendly staff, very clean and generous fresh made food with daily lunch specials and great drinks. Check your mailboxes. There are coupons and a legit excuse to grab lunch or dinner here where you're never going to be disappointed that you did.

Food is almost always excellent and hot. Servers are friendly. It can get loud when it's busy. There's a lot of tvs to watch the games.

ive been coming here for years and the food and service is always spot on. the restaurant is clean and welcoming, and the staff are very friendly. prices are very reasonable and everything ive ever gotten here was satisfactory. they have grilled pineapple and i love that :)

This was our first visit and also our last. I ordered an avocado salad with grilled shrimp. The dish came with uncleaned shrimp, full of fecal matter. My salad was taken away, and shrimp was replaced with grilled chicken. The amount of shrimp was significant. There was hardly any chicken at all. In addition to the issue with the protein, there was not a single slice of avocado anywhere on my avocado salad. The server was friendly but only stopped back at the table once. My chair had a split in the wood where clothes had been snagged by a previous diner, evident by the remaining fabric shreds. It also had dried salsa, lettuce, and cilantro stuck to the seat. Seats around us had dirty napkins on the floor. No other diners on that side when we arrived. When my husband went to pay the bill and informed the server about the missing avocado on the named dish, she apologized but never reduced the bill, nor did she offer to give avocado to take home. Never got a manager to speak with either. If you zoom in on the photo, you can clearly see the waste byproduct under the membrane of the shrimp. Disgusting.

Everything came out piping hot and fresh! The salsa is so good and the queso is the best.

We went in for dinner, waited longer than usual to be greeted by the staff. Took longer for our water to arrive. Waited longer to place order. For arrived quickly and was hot, correct and plenty. Sadly it ended there. There was a chicken bone in the food, when pointed it out to the manager, we got told you ordered chicken. Not an apology or anything! My friend nearly choked on it and was clearly distraught and red from the coughing. Nothing. They didn't even offer any kind of condolences or discount. Very very disrespectful and disappointed in this place.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant everything is always so good they have the best salsa and the service is always amazing

Don't listen to the bad reviews, they just have a stick up their... well you know where. Best chips and salsa I've ever had to start. The service was incredibly friendly, the atmosphere was impeccable, the food to die for. The perfect family restaurant, if I lived closer I'd be here all of the time. If you're reading this and looking for Mexican, look no further. This is where you need to end up.

The food is hit or miss. Usually miss. Service is above average. The atmosphere is just ok. There's better.

We were looking for a Mexican place to try while we were driving through. We should have kept driving! First, the chips are very generic! They have a very strong, odd corn flavor, unlike any we've ever had. Salsa was good. I ordered a seafood burrito. It was mostly onions and tomatoes. Very few shrimp or scallops inside (imitation crab was broiled on top). All of the seafood was tough and lacked any sort of flavoring. Zero cheese on it. My husband ordered a quesadilla fajita. He enjoyed his, but said it lacked flavoring, also. Both of us had rice and a salad on the side. Rice was, again, bland and while the salad was plentiful, it was obviously just slapped on the plate. My husbands had the core of the head of lettuce!! Service was amiss. While we felt the decor was that of other Mexican restaurants we've been to, the whole vibe was just different. I'd find another in the area, if traveling through!

My friend took me here and it was awesome! The chips and guacamole were fantastic and the Summer Burrito was the BEST burrito I've EVER had!! I'll definitely be back!!

Food is excellent service is very good. It is a family friendly restaurant which seems to accommodate all sizes of parties. It is noisy but well worth it.

We go here at least 2 times a month and have been doing so since we moved to the area. The food is always fresh and delicious and we always are treated so kindly.

Some of the best salsa out there. Service is always fast and friendly! You can't go wrong with anything that you choose.

first off 1 star is being nice if i could not put a star i would. got to the restaurant walked in no one was anywhere to be found went and sat at a table and server didn't even come to our table for at least 10 minutes their was only one server and the entire place was packed once we ordered she "forgot" my meal as i sat their and watched my entire family eat waiting for my food, food is gross shrimp tacos were under cooked, didn't get a single water refill the entire time we were their everything over all was nasty this place is dirty i don't recommend eating here especially don't bring your family here if you don't want to get food poisoning.

Great food, even better margaritas! Staff is super awesome, and fast! Low lighting, perfect for date night! Or a quick lunch next to the windows!

This food was not very good. Sorry! I'm from the Southwest and just used to eating REALLY good Mexican food. :( If you don't know the difference, you might think it's great! Just my opinion.

Me and my good old friends decided too visit this restaurant this past weekend. Let me just say it took them 10 minutes too even offer us drinks. Then we sat and waited for our food for about a hour. The food was very disappointing it kinda tasted like what the back of a ballsack would taste like. I will not be coming back here and I suggest no one does. P.s chips and salsa were fire

Been enjoying their place, food and friendly people since they opened. I recommend both the Ravenna and Sagamore Hills locations.

Good food, but in serious need of cleaning and updating. The plaster is falling off the walls, the bathrooms are disgusting. I hope they survive this pandemic but they have to find a way to clean up this place, or move on.

Hands down the best salsa I have ever had and I have had a lot of salsa. I had been wanting to stop in here for awhile now and I was not disappointed. The prices are fair and the food was great. We took awhile to decide on what to get because I wanted to try everything! We went on a Wednesday early evening so it wasn't very crowded but by the time we left it stared to fill up and I can understand why. If we lived in town we would probably be there once a week. I ordered the veggie quesadillas. I was very satisfied and and couldn't finish everything. My boyfriend ordered the Guadalajara Especial. I highly recommend this dish it came with a little bit of everything. My favorite was the pork tamale. Maybe this was why I couldn't finish my own food. The staff was also very friendly. We will definitely be back and soon I hope!

They treat you like family, great food and service. My wife and I dine here at least once a week. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

It is difficult to find good Mexican food in this region. Dos Coronas has super tasty dishes similar to what I am used to from restaurants back home in California. They also have a variety of margaritas that pair great with the food. The service is fast and friendly.

By far my favorite Mexican restaurant in North East Ohio. Great food & great portions. Service is always very quick inside the restaurant and they always have pick up orders in a timely manner! My favorite thing on the menu is by far the deserts. Very delicious!!

Well, what can you say about another "just fine" Mexican restaurant in NE Ohio. There are a ton of places that serve reliable Tex Mex style food and I'm glad that we have these kinds of places around. Not everything needs to be fancy shmancy, and a basic place serving tacos, fajitas, enchiladas, etc. is great to have as an option. Wish I could offer more than 3 stars, but that's the high end of the range imho for a place that meets expectations. Give em a try if you're in the area.

It's decent Mexican. The salsa and chips arrived promptly and were warm. The Salas was very tasty, although very mild, however there were several bottles of Tapita on the table to spice it up. The steak fajitas were good and sizzling when they got to the table. The lunch portion was the size of a dinner portion. My daughter got the taco salad, and said it was yummy and she can't wait to get it again. Was it good? Yes. Would I go again when traveling to Ravenna? Absolutely. Does it stand out from other Mexican joints? Not really. It was good, but same as other Mexican restaurants.

Excellent Mexican food! Don't let the out of the way location or the small exterior stop you from trying this place out. We had both beef and chicken chimichangas with rice and a chili relleno and everything was literally the best we've ever had. The chips came out warm and weren't too salty and the salsa had an excellent flavor with just the right amount of heat. Don't miss this gem!

I love Dos Coronas. The food is always just as I ordered. The staff is friendly and make you feel welcome. My meal was brought to me correct, quick and HOT. Any time I'm near Ravenna I stop in to see Roberto. You should too. You can't go wrong.

We had been going to Mi Rancho in the area more often because of their special's on Dollar Tacos on Tuesdays, and $5.99 Fajita's on Wednesday, but decided to get Dos Corona's again after awhile on a recent Friday. I ordered using their menu that was linked to their Facebook page as they don't have a website, and we stopped after work and picked it up. My entree for Fajita's had jumped $5 in price to $15 (which was similar to Mi Rancho's $5.99 special), and my GF was very underwhelmed by her burrito, as it was very small for $10 and she told me she likes the same one she get's from Mi Rancho better. It's a shame because we used to love this place, but there are just new options in the area that are less expensive.

Love polo con crema and cancun cheese steak the chili is awesome the atmosphere is nice the people are friendly

Husband and I went there to eat for the first time. The salsa was hot for medium but so good! The food was so fresh and so tasty. And wait time was quick. We will be going back!!

I'm completely enamored with Dos Coronas. I don't get to go there often, only on my trips to or from Hiram, but their fajitas are seriously freaking awesome. I've had the Dos Coronas Grilled Cazuelada, which is a dinner for two, but I happily made 4 meals out of it at Hiram. The combination of the chicken, steak, shirmp, and chorizo was fantastic, plus it comes with two salads with guacamole and pico de gallo (because it's meant for two people, duh!). I also had what I think was called the Fiesta fajita when I went with my bro. It has chicken, bacon, and pineapple. Totally knocked my socks off. Seriously. This stuff was like crack and for a one-person meal, I had a hard time eating a third of it! The flan. The flan needs it's own paragraph to describe the explosion of amazing in my mouth. It was sweet and so flavorful and so creamy that I really think that instead of ordering fajitas, I should have just ordered four of the flan. And a tamale.

Found them in yelp. Passing thru town. Ordered burrito supreme and skillet fajitas per waiter suggestions. Cheap food with outstanding taste. Bathroom clean and cold coronas. Done!

Still very delicious love thin crispy chips...love true authentic Mexican food. Been having cravings for Mexican food for weeks everytime few weeks going into ravenna kent go in and eat delicious!

This is a wonderful little hole in the wall. Serves all the basic Mexican fare, but my favorite is Pollo Con Creama! Basic decor with tables that face the main windows. Staff is nice and helpful. Very clean, neat and friendly.

Ever time I have ordered a to go order they always rip me off and do not give me what I ordered! Example tonight I ordered the Guacamole Salad Beans and Rice the steakFiesta meal that is supposed to come with guacamole sour cream lettuce tomatoes and pico di gio and they didn't give me that just the steak and onions and green peppers as the 3 soft shells! I also ordered 2 other meals and the same thin! It was expensive and when I got home was once again disappointed by bad service for high price!

Okay food and usually quickly served. Cleanliness of the tables and booths could be better. Establishment is not well maintained. Pretty standard Mexican fare but no standout items. We usually look elsewhere when in the mood for south of the border.

Really, really good Mexican food at very, very reasonable prices. Sure, the atmosphere of the place is a bit...nonexistent, but the food speaks for itself. How these people take rice, beans, and meat, and make those simple ingredients so darn tasty...we may never know. Super fresh food, and lots of it, at less than eight bucks? I'm definitely going back.

Enchiladas Cozumel is awesome! Very good Mexican restaurant. Highly recommended. Fajitas very good also.

Average Mexican restaurant but super fast service!

The food is good, and delightfully, not as salty as most Mexican restaurant food can be. The service was quick and friendly. Unfortunately, the margaritas leave something to be desired.

Went there on a Saturday around 1:00 pm seems like they were disorganized . There was only about 10 people in there and looked like one waiter for all. Ordered Un sweet tea and added splenda , and to be honest tasted like pee water not very good. Then ordered 2 chicken enchiladas with rice and bean on the side, had him throw in a quesadilla on the side. I eat a lot of Mexican and although it was authentic is was not very good the enchiladas did have lots of chicken but the sauce was not good they were pretty plain. Nothing to write home about. the rice was terrible like something you can whip up blindfolded and the beans were not much better , although I seen some food coming out very sizzling hot, my food was not, seemed luke warm, price wasn't bad but over all quality places it in the 2 -3 star range. The chips were pretty good. If your on a budget yeah maybe but don't take a date there cause you might be going home by yourself.

Dos Coronas is the standard to which I compare all other Mexican food I try. We order take out at least once a week, and no matter what I order, it's always fresh, filling, and affordable. My only complaint is that they've recently raised all of their prices in general. But, it's certainly still a great deal for such wonderful food!

Bland food. Would not recommend it to anyone. I was very disappointed. They basically brown some burger and put it in a shell and call it a taco.

The best Mexican food around. We've missed the Macedonia location waiting for Sagamore Hills to open. The food is the same here and tastes excellent. The prices are reasonable and the the service was quick.

Good food, nice atmosphere (bright, clean, nice layout) and quickly served the food. Servers were kinda cold and not very interactive. Had a gift card and there machine wouldn't take it? Said to try it at the Macedonia location. That was a bummer and not very accommodating about the situation.

Great salsa, great margaretas, FAST kitchen. Portions are just right. All in all pretty great for a local Mexican place. Atmosphere is a little lacking though.

Holy coronas my chicken fajita dinner was huge and yummy! The veggies were fresh and the chicken was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend and I loved the salsa and guacamole here. He ordered two burritos, one chicken, one beef and liked them both preferring the chicken though.
