"And now for something completely different: This South Broadway taproom specializes in Peruvian chicha and Mexican pulque, brewed respectively from blue corn and maguey sap, as well as tepache, another Mexican beverage made with pineapple and cinnamon. It’s a whole New World, caps intended, to discover; don’t be afraid to ask questions about the history of these styles and their variants." - Eater Staff

Definitely one of my favorite Hispanic breweries in all of Colorado. I throughly enjoyed the unique tasty beers here. It was a tad pricey but it was well worth the experience. I appreciate the service and staff. I came in once for Bingo night and I had so much fun! Overall, great vibes and great culture. Also, there is ample indoor seating. Will go back again!

Google
Gluten-free, corn based alcohol. Awesome atmosphere offering a wide variety of unique drinks. Each drink has a distinct flavor. You won't find drinks like these at typical breweries. Great, friendly, service in this small, local, business.

Google
A wonderful and unique experience. We were in a bit of a rush to get to a dinner reservation. We tried the mini flight: They select the beers. They also had an option including all 10 of the beers they had, which I would recommend. The taste is very different than any beers I’ve had. Some are fruited, sweeter, more sour. They tequila barrel aged sour was my favorite. Perfect sour balance with a finishing corn tortilla flavor. One of the best beers I’ve ever tried!! Go have an experience!!

Google
Randomly happened across this brewery and so glad I did. It's walking distance from empanadas as well! Gluten free corn and spiced beer solution. Translation, a light flavorful beer option. Sours are good. Only one of the batches were not our cup a tea. We did a full flight. Recommend their peach offering for sure. Was favorite. Second is the mango jalepeno imperial sour. Decor is warm and friendly. Just like the staff. Of you haven't tried this, check it out!

Google
Wonderful location and comfortable space. The beers are all really smooth and approachable. Definitely the best gluten free beer I have had. The Incan Chicha has a unique sweet and sour taste with a very smooth body. Family friendly and great N/A selection. Follow the lights!

What a fantastic new spot! Dos Luces gives you a taste of South America in the middle of Denver and WOW! We were actually on our way to a different brewery and were drawn in by the fun artwork and happy crowd. We liked it so much we stayed and are already planning to visit again. The atmosphere is inviting with brightly lit indoor patio and tabletop seating, as well as a cinnamon tree that, when mature, will have its bark used to flavor certain beers. The manager (I'm terrible with names) was so wonderful in explaining their unique selection and interesting story. I would definitely highlight that you should not go in expecting the typical beer that you get at most breweries! Instead of wheat, their in house brews are made with blue corn and has a different taste and texture. Different, but oh so good!! (There are also a couple of partner beers on tap that are more like your traditional IPA but I would recommend at least trying the in-house options). We tried 3 beers: a mango and chili Chicha, a dragon fruit Chicha, and a Metztli Pulque. The Chicha beers were our favorite, so flavorful and a little on the sweeter side. The Metztli was also delicious and reminded me a little more of a traditional light beer. Prices were reasonable and there are a variety of sizes available, including a pitcher. The brewery also does monthly sip and paint classes which I can’t wait to try! The whole experience was extremely enjoyable and highly recommended for a fun and delicious brewery experience!!

Google
One of the most unique and lovely breweries I’ve been to. I had a strawberry chicha and my husband tried the Azteca pulque. Both brews were delicious. Melissa was our bartender. She was super sweet, conversational, and thoughtful. She even let us sample some of the brews before we committed to any. Amazing customer service, tasty beverages, and overall, it passes the vibe check. We will be back 🍻

Google
Love this place! We are visiting Denver on our honeymoon and just happened to stumble upon it walking. The brewery is all corn based and seems to have an Aztec influence. All beers taste light or similar to a sour. Do yourself a favor and try the imperials! 14% goes down easyyyyy! Service was amazing!

Yelp
This is probably the most unique brewery I've been to. First, it is not beer. I believe most of it is made from corn and everything is gluten-free! Dos Luces is located in South Denver nestled between several other businesses. There is a shared parking lot, but it fills up quickly and street parking is probably your best bet. We visited on a Friday at 6PM and were able to snag some parking in the residential area. The building is fairly deep and is larger than it appears from the front. When you walk in, you are greeted by kind and friendly staff, warm lighting, and a TON of houseplants. Looking at the menu, we had no idea what to order or really what any of the drinks were. Luckily the brew-tenders helped us out. You can try EVERYTHING in ~4-6 oz (five of their lighter brews and four of their imperial brews) for $40. So, naturally, we did that. The flavors are kinda funky ranging from sour, to bitter, to exceptionally sweet. It was a unique and fun experience and I'd love to come back when I'm back in town.

Yelp
After seeing this brewery featured on Insta by Yelp Colorado, I was excited to check this place out during our visit. The brewers, who spent time in Peru, Mexico and El Salvador, specialize in ancient corn based brews such as Chicha and corn and maguey-based Pulque. The decor here is also incredible with papel picado, paintings inspired by ancient Latin American cultures and a variety of masks. If I lived close to here, I'd come hang out and drink brews just to be in this cool atmosphere. They also have comfy chairs for lounging and windows that open to the street for a nice breeze. We sampled flights of tepache, Chicha and pulque in various styles. A previous reviewer mentioned that a lot of the brews taste like kombucha. I would definitely agree. The tepache was very light and not sweet like other versions I have had. My favorite was the pulque. We did flights of their three and five ounce pours. After 5 cups, I was definitely feeling the effects. We noted that it tastes better the more you drink! Located in Denver's Historic South Broadway neighborhood there's also a taqueria and empanada shop on the same street. Looking forward to returning to the area. Also close by is the International Church of Cannabis, which features art by one of my favorite street artists, Okuda, and that may merit a future trip as well! I enjoyed this place but TBH, more for the atmosphere than the brews although I'd definitely get the pulque again on future visits.

Yelp
Cool and unique spot. The guy behind the counter was friendly and you could tell he was passionate about what they served. Their beer is very different considering it's corn-based and gluten-free. We tried a full flight to sample a wide variety of their offerings. Unfortunately, we didn't find anything we liked, and one we weren't even able to finish. If you're used to beers like this I think it's worth checking out. But for those that prefer your more standard lagers and ales, you may be let down. While it's a cool spot, and nice service, the 2 stars come down to that we didn't like the beer to warrant coming back.

Talisa D.

Yelp
Love this brewery! It's super unique because the beer is made from local Colorado corn. There's a beautiful backstory about the Brewery name, the beers (chicha and pulque), and the cultral background. I love that the beer is served in ceramic cups like sake - somehow makes it taste even better! The flavors are incredible and so unique. The cornwine, which is the first in the world, is absolutely delicious. Finally, the owners are super passionate about their craft, which I always appreciate. I cannot wait to return! Highly recommend trying this place!

Jami W.

Yelp
This is an interesting brewery-- all gluten free (made from blue corn). The atmosphere is open and the staff is very knowledgeable about their beers. We were able to taste a couple before making a selection. Neat spot and experience-- would recommend.

Adam D.

Yelp
Great gluten free beer. Wonderful space and great snack selection. Get a flight and try them all!

Casey D.

Yelp
Kind of Corny Wow!! I was so impressed with the beer here! Dos Luces uses corn as the main ingredient for their brews, much like the Incans did. The taste and complexity is certainly unique. I really enjoyed the selection. They will even let you taste samples of different brews beforehand. Aesthetically, the store is really wonderful. Great for a day date!!

Becky W.

Yelp
Love love love this place! Great setting. The beverages are great and the service is awesome. John explained the flavors to us and helped us to decide what would be best. He didn't disappoint! Thank you!

Yelp
This is a business that reflects owner's true passion. At least that was what I gleaned from yesterday's Elite event at this South Broadway's one of the hidden gems, Dos Luces Brewery. My side gig (aside from my main/day job) is that of alcohol promotion and marketing. As I have stated many times in my past reviews posted on Yelp, I'm more of a wine person but for what I do on the side, I have to know about beer, to some extent. But what was taught in yesterday's class was solid education of beer that had never been extended to me ever in the past. All the lingos that I had never heard of, I was fascinated as to how in-depth the word "beer" can represent based on what goes into it. The owner's (Judd) background as a beer maker is solid. He said he used to work for a big beer maker in Golden (I don't think I need to name it!) Being in the industry since the age of 23, his wealth of knowledge and experience in the industry is impeccably reflected in what his brewery produces. His beer making machines on both sides of the middle aisles are state-of-the-art; nice clean/welcoming interior where people can sit down and sip their choice of beer is very artistic with beautiful wall decorations; where we (Yelp Elites) sat for the class has ample amount of seating for several large groups to sit and immerse themselves in the mystical world of beer education. And we kicked off our tastings with Pineapple Gigner Tepache (4.5% ABV). Very light, refreshing, and tasted bit like a kombucha with a less kick at the end. We almost didn't taste any alcohol in it. Next came Chicha Inti (5.5% ABV). This was very much like the first one but a little bit of sweetness. Described as "amber colored" beer but it was more like light pink (beautiful color, though!) This was also very sessionable. The third one was my favorite: Micaela Cornwine. This was their first annual Women's History month release with 10% ABV. Its color was absolutely beautiful. Many at my table described it as "too dangerous"! Oh yes, I agree with that! Pulque Metztli was the 4th one for us to sample. 7% ABV. This is made with Maguey sap. The only other spirit that is made with Maguey plat being Mescal, this was interesting. And the last but not least, Tupac Amaru Imperial Chicha with the highest ABV at 11%. This was created in celebration of the legacy of the last emperor of Peru. Very earthy in flavors. A night of beer education yesterday was another fantastic/fun-tastic event. I saw some familiar faces; made some new friends; but most of all, I finally got my PhD in beer! I cannot thank you enough, Denver Yelp Team and Matt for this one-of-a-kind event!

Ashley P.

Yelp
The story behind this brewery is just as amazing as the chicha and pulque that they pour. Hands down one of my new favorite spots in Denver. Super chill But their beers are serious. All their beverages are gluten free and no one would know. Because of how they're brewed and made, the entire process is gluten free. Inspired by Aztec and Mexican traditions, don't miss this spot. The flavors are amazing and unique, and I cannot wait to go back and explore more.

Hannah S.

Yelp
If you want a unique and wholesome experience, check out Dos Luces Brewery. The owner has a passion for showing the world the true history of beer making in the Americas. There is an assortment of chicha, pulque and cornwine. They also do a rotating menu so you may get to try something new with each new season. My personal favorite was the cornwine! It had a ton of depth and complexity to it. It'd be a perfect sipper for a hot day by the pool!

Kelsey T.

Yelp
Ooooh my gosh, we had the BEST time at Dos Luces beer school. The co-founder was so nice and extremely knowledgeable about the history behind pulque and chicha. These don't taste like traditional beers you are accustomed to, so it was great to try something new. All the thought and car that goes into each beer is incredible and the result does not disappoint. We are already planning our next visit!

Tim F.

Yelp
I was at Dos Luces for the Yelp Elite event, and it was a great experience. The co-founder/owner, Judd, was a wonderful hosy and explained the differences between pulque (corn beer from the Aztecs) and chicha (corn beer from the Incans). Everything in the testing was excellent and there was a great variety from light ginger and pineapple brews to the imperial Tupac with cinnamon and anise. Highly recommended if you're looking for a tasty change from beers available at more typical breweries. Gluten-free beers made with corn from local farms!

Carolina H.

Yelp
First time here and we loved it!! Staff was very friendly and their beers are all gluten-free and very tasty!

Carly W.

Yelp
As my fellow brewery goers and I made our way down South Broadway, we were drawn like beer-loving moths to a flame by the the warm glow of Dos Luces Brewery. SPACE/ATMOSPHERE: Love the space! First off, it's actually rather large! It features a fun arrangement of chairs to kick back in, exposed brick, unique art, and an open brewing area. Def a great place to gather with friends and fellow beer-lovers! BREWS: This is where Dos Luces Brewery stands out from the others. They specialize in traditional Chicha and Pulque brews native to Mexico that are fermented with corn versus barley. Given that they specialize in two types/styles of beer, I highly recommend sipping on the base brew of each and then delving into some of the variants they offer. I found the Lime Ancho Chile Pulque to be one of my favorite sips of the night! SERVICE: In my previous experiences around Denver - the beertenders really make or break the experience. Unfortunately the girls and I found the beertender working on this particular evening to be rather underwhelming. He didn't have very much enthusiasm for the brewery or the brews. Disappointing since it was our first visit here. Dos Luces Brewery was a solid reprieve from more typical brewery scene here in Denver. Cheers!

Evangelia S.

Yelp
We stepped in expecting a regular Colorado brewery and we were happily surprised to find out that they brew and serve pre-colonial style beer. I had a beer with chocolate finish and I am certain we are coming back for more.

C J.

Yelp
Gluten-free, corn based alcohol. Awesome atmosphere offering a wide variety of unique drinks. Each drink has a distinct flavor. You won't find drinks like these at typical breweries. Great, friendly, service in t his small, local, business.

Carlos R.

Yelp
Came here with family straight from the airport after flying into Denver for a visit, on their recommendation. The vibes are definitely great here--the decor is on point and the staff are helpful and friendly. The stars, though, are the brews. It's not every day you get to try something completely new, and sampling a flight of beverages brewed with ancient techniques was awesome. I liked everything I tried, but particularly enjoyed the tepache, which is light and not too sweet with notes of ginger. The flavors range from mellow to pretty intensely tart and fruit-forward (almost like a fruited sour?), so ask the bartender if you have specific taste preferences. And come with an open mind--nothing here tastes like the hop-n-barley beers most of us are used to in the US. Definitely come here, you won't regret it!

Mark A.

Yelp
This place is unique! Beautiful space and informative, attentive service. They are lucky (or smart) to be located on the same block as Adelita's and Maria Empanada. I was surprised and pleased to find a brewery that is inspired by indigenous cultures but adapted to local ingredients.

Chris M.

Yelp
Great brew options which are ALL gluten free! They have chicha, pulque and tepache to name a few. These are all Latin American fermented beverages made from corn and other natural ingredients. They are great for your gut and for a beautiful sunny day outside! The staff is super friendly, all of the drinks are great, the flights are generous, and the ambience is super relaxing. Great music and so many plants!

Amy R.

Yelp
Denver is so full of breweries that it gets hard after a while to identify unique things about them. No such issues here! Dos Luces is a totally unique take on beer (and non-alcoholic bevvies as well). They serve corn-based (that's gluten-free ya'll!) Chicha and Pulque. The Chicha Morada is a beautiful purple-red non-alcoholic "beer" that tasted a lot like mulled wine, but lighter and smoother. I have enjoyed everything I've had here. The service is always fantastic, and I am head over heels with their decor. They have string lights! And games! And so many amazing indoor plants! Check it out, nobody I've ever brought here has been disappointed.

Ashley P.

Yelp
As a Denver native who takes her beer and local breweries very seriously, I am so excited to call Dos Luces one of our own! My boyfriend and I have been long time patrons of Black Project, a brewery specializing in sour beers and wild ales on the same street, and I can't believe we hadn't tried Dos Luces until just recently. Man, was that a HUGE mistake on our part. I didn't know what amazing beer we were missing out on! The beers here are corn-based as opposed to barley-based, so their offerings are gluten-free! I was curious about a corn-based beer, but WOW they blew me away. All of their offerings are super flavorful and totally yum. Some of their beers are barrel aged, and those ones are a must-try if you stop by! Aside from the delicious brews, the atmosphere here is the bomb. Super trendy lighting, greenery and an open-air feel. The staff does an incredible job asking everyone who comes in if they know about the corn-based beers, and if not, they explain the origins and taste to them. A much appreciated gesture! Don't make the same mistake I did and pass this place without stopping in!

Thomas H.

Yelp
Viva Mexico! Dos Luces offers unique mexican brews from gluten free ingredients with rich flavor. One of my favorite breweries in Denver. If you are looking for a chill night with lowkey vibes this is the place to be. I would recommend the the tupac amaru III/variations!

Hector B.

Yelp
This is my second visit here. The first was opening night. They'll expanded their options nicely! It's not beer, but corn type of liquor called chicha. Or corn and (?) called pulque. Interesting and gluten free! Service was quick and cheery. Environment was open and inviting. Different and nice spot

Ryan D.

Yelp
I had wanted to check this place out for years and finally stopped in this week. Awesome vibe and atmosphere. All of their beer is made from corn and is gluten free. It was definitely a unique experience. I'm not a huge beer drinker but definitely know what I like and don't like. I ordered a flight of 5 and although these beers were different, they weren't my favorite. It was a one-and-done for me.

Deya Z.

Yelp
First things first...I'm a Latina and, a budding craft beer lover, the typical brewery scene is fairly...how do I say this...not diverse (Still love it though). When we came across Dos Luces I was skeptical at first but then I learned it was cofounded by a person of color, I was in. The decor and vibe had me at hello. It felt like a few wonderful ice houses in San Antonio or an amazing zocalo & I immediately wished this place had been around for my wedding 5 years ago! The space is filled with light, greenery, and life- loved it!! Pulque and Chicha are fairly new to me. We tried one or two of each- the mango Chicha and Metzli. Both were rich and definitely not your typical IPA. Each drink we savored was filled with aromatic spices, something that caught us by surprise at first but had us eager for more.

Bec O.

Yelp
Brad and I were hitting antique row on Broadway when we decided to grab a beer. We saw Dos Luces and thought we would try. They brew Peruvian corn beer (chicks) and Mexican agave (pulque). I mean who knew? The taproom is clean, open with a nice vibe. The earthenware pitchers and cool ceramic cups. The woman working was super nice and well versed with the product. We ordered the taster which consisted of Chicha, Pineapple Tepache, Blackberry Pulque and Agua Fresca Dura. I think it is important to know these do not taste like beer. The pulque is sour and really no distinguishable flavor and kind of reminds me of kombucha. In fact they all reminded me of kombucha. The agua fresca was sweet and tangy (too sweet for me). I think the tepaches is supposed to be between a soda, kombucha and beer, but for me it was more soda/kombucha and a little like rotted pineapple. I think it is great to have this in the community, but not my jam. Not sure if it is the product or my taste (do not like kombucha). My recommendation would be to give a try and make up your own mind.

Joselle S.

Yelp
We love Dos Luces! We have been a couple of times and the beer is so unique. The bar tenders are always so sweet and helpful. Also, if you are hungry, you can grab your food and bring it in to enjoy a beer! Definitely would recommend if you are looking for something a little different.

Kevin N.

Yelp
This place doesnt get enough credit for adding some culture to Denver. Great beers. Certainly different from everything I'm used to having. They draw brewing inspiration from the Aztecs and Mayans. They use a corn to make their beers which gives it a different taste. At times I think it makes the beer less strong, but I like it that way. The coffee beer was a winner in my books. The brewery itself is very open and relaxing. They have games available. I'd say everyone should give this place a shot. Definitely a new and welcoming experience for me.

Steph J.

Yelp
My hubs and I ventured out on our date night to check out the new brews in town, and were pleasantly surprised. All of the beer is gluten free since it's made of corn only. Interesting, isn't it?! We shared a flight of everything on the menu and I can say it was all very tasty. Many of them I would drink with a meal (like tacos, perhaps?!), and were quite refreshing and light. I think they all pretty much had different combinations of cinnamon, clove, ginger, so think of those warm spices in terms of flavor. I could see some of the corn sediment at the bottom of each cup. They are sweeter-tasting than what we are used to with our regular grain-based beers, so that's something to note. I would say that as an avid beer drinker, I don't know if this screams beer to me, but it is pretty tasty. Too bad it's not a restaurant too, because some food would go great with this stuff. Open your mind to the world of beer made with corn!

Thaung M.

Yelp
NOT Pulque! I repeat: NOT Pulque! Went to try it on my visit to Denver because I was so excited to see someone make the drink in the US. These guys make a cider and call it pulque. It tastes, looks, feels nothing like the actual pulque. Don't fall for the lie and spend your money there. For what an actual pulque is like go look up Pulqueria Los Insurgentes in Mexico City! This is from a guy who's drank the actual pulque in Mexico.

Y R.

Yelp
Nice ambiance, great explanations and information of the beer from bartender, and the beer is so unique . We love it and found each to be so different from the next. Will most definitely be back!

Victor C.

Yelp
Started hesitant with the Mango Arbol Chile Chicha, which was delicious! Once I had that it was open game, went to the collab purple guava ale and was hooked on this place. Coming from Idaho we don't have a huge selection (slowly coming along) yet alone finding a brewery to have the guts and take a chance in something unique which is what this place has done, cool art throughout the walls with a laid back environment. You can smell the aroma of the beer as it hits your mouth; the description on the menu hits your nose and you take a drink with all the hints of flavor hitting your taste buds and soothing your through. This place is a must when we return.

Sebrina B.

Yelp
Like most of the other reviewers I am a fan. I was in town for work and decided to hook up with a high school friend. After traveling through a crazy windstorm I arrived like Dorothy. The brewery is so inviting. Great colors, lighting, wood, diverse seating options, greenery, and art. I was greeted not only by friendly fellow patrons but also the staff who were patient to let me get my bearings. Never having tasted a pulque I was told it was similar to a sour to which I gave an involuntary frowny face but asked for a taste. Although I didn't make the pulque my final selection, it was not horrible. It was smooth to the palate and bittersweet instead of bitter. In the end I ended up with Saison from another local brewer and my friend, who doesn't drink enjoyed one of the nonalcoholic options a carbonated acai drink. The only drawback to this location is really that is closes at 10pm. Living in New Orleans, this was quite weird for me but I am sure it has something to do with zoning or maybe just quality of life for the owners. I will definitely be back to taste one of their chichas.

Jessica A.

Yelp
Beautiful place. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Great beers. Get the flight and I promise you won't be let down.

Jessica B.

Yelp
You can make "beer" out of corn?? If you like a brewery with a story, this is a place to visit. It's a unique process of brewing and the only place in the world that does this large scale. Dare I say they've mastered it? See for yourself! If you have a special place in your heart for sour beers, like myself, you'll have to try the Pulque. For those searching by key words: YES THEY HAVE GLUTEN FREE BEER -- great tasting ones!

Kurt G.

Yelp
After learning about the drink 'pulque' from a book a recently finished, I was intrigued enough to go out on a mission to find it. Simple enough, right? In the 21st century global economy, you ought to be able to have basically anything you want right? Nope. Come to find out, there's about two places to get pulque within 1,000 miles of Denver: Mexico, or Dos Luces on South Broadway. Given that I was not in the mood to jump in the car and drive down to Juarez, I opted for Dos Luces. I have to admit, after trying this drink from fermented maguey juice I found it is probably not for everyone, and is likely acquired taste for those who love it (hence its lack of widespread availability in the USA). That being said, I guarantee you it's unlike anything you've ever tried - somewhere in between tequila, milk, and beer - and I thought it great that Dos Luces is putting it out there. Given that I went there just for this, I didn't give much of their other drinks a try, but I sensed that the uniqueness of their offerings did not end at pulque. Very cool environment/atmosphere, and some central/South American board games to top off the theme. PSA: if you want to play the Tzolkin one, set the board before you have your pulque.... you are not figuring that one out unless you are stone old sober. I gave up. And I was pretty darn sober.

Patricia H.

Yelp
Man. I was excited to go in here after reading the reviews and just as excited when I got there. I'd never tasted any drink like these before and because of Dos Luces, I have a new favourite! It's incredible the painstaking details they take to try and replicate authentic indigenous beers made with corn and agave. Judd who works there is awesome too - he guided me through every step of this brand new experience I knew nothing about and gave me a plethora of perfect information on what to expect from each drink in my flight. Dos Luces is an absolute do not miss!

Luke G.

Yelp
The atmosphere is modern, clean, and inviting. The staff is friendly but the ordering process is strange. You order at a counter and then move down to the register. When I took my first sip of the INTI I didn't think I was drinking beer. Almost tasted like a kava drink. They brew a unique form of "beer" that is blue corn based and originated in Central/South America. It's very cloudy and almost grainy. The pricing is rather expensive for this corny drink. $6 for 8oz and they don't serve pints! They offer some normal beers from other breweries but they are also overpriced.

Tasha D.

Yelp
The beer at this place is enjoyably unique. I would definitely say, as with all breweries in CO, go in with an open mind. I had their Tupac Amara III which is an imperial chicha and it was a very creative beer! I really enjoyed it. It had a lot of lovely spices reminiscent of Latin cuisine. Extremely creative and very unique. Their guava ale was also beautiful to look at and highly refreshing and light in flavor (but not in a bad way). It will be the perfect summer beer I imagine. Also, I was looking for a place to have a sendoff party for a friend who is moving away. My group also had a weird request that we wanted to do some partnered swing dancing. Judd could not have been more accommodating. He let us use the space in the back of the brewery, speakers included, and we had a proper sendoff!! Judd and his employees could not have been nicer or kinder. I, and all my friends, are extremely grateful to him.

Yelp
Dos Luces is an awesome addition to S Broadway and the neighborhood. I love Dos Luces because it's culture fusion done right. Colorado is known for its beer and breweries and Dos Luces gives a warm and familiar "spin" on that. The brewery has a rotating guest tap but what they specialize in is Pulque and Chicha, both traditional south (or central?) American beverages. You can still watch the game, you can still play some board games, you can still get some beer with friends, but at Dos Luces, you get it to do it in a style that you wouldn't at any other place in Colorado. Love the space and became a big fan of pulque. Also, the owner, Judd, is super friendly and knowledgeable.

Yelp
I felt the energy of this place from the first step in the door. The space is open and bright and the bartender welcomed us warmly. She asked if we had been in and explained their process and all the flavors. We didn't even have to ask. What great service! Everything sounded good, so we got some bottles to go. I liked the spices, and the gluten-free aspect is a plus for many of my friends.

Yelp
The place was nice, no appetizers or food, which made me leave faster then I wanted to, but I do think this place is a hidden gem in the area.

Yelp
Chichas and pulques! These corn-based brews, which are naturally gluten-free, are both delicious and refreshing. You get a free non-alcoholic version when you order a pint or more, to "cleanse your palate". The atmosphere is sunny and relaxed, with games to play and vibes growing on the walls. Don't miss this great find!

Yelp
This place is unique due to their ingredients! I tried all of their drinks and they're all unique in their own way. They're light, yet more acidic and similar to kombucha so... they're healthy, right!? I'd take my friends here when we are back in CO so they can try it. I'd recommend everyone to try this type of beer at least once.

Yelp
My gf and I walked in here on a Sunday afternoon. It has a cool kind of vibe. Very cool decor, but it feels more like a "coffee house" than a brewery. I have a hard time calling the drinks here "beer". No hops or barley, but a corn based brew. TOTALLY different then a traditional beer. I can't really equate it to anything I've had before. I had the mango/chile Chicha and the Pulque Metztli. The Chicha was the better. It's good. Quite good. Just not beer. Sorry guys it's simply not beer. They do have guest beers on tap that are the beers I wanted going in. The prices are kinda high. You get an 8 ounce pour for slightly less than a traditional 16 oz. pint at a brewery. That's expensive. I would have only given 3 stars due to the style of drink not being what I call a beer. However, they did a good job with the place and for a different kind of taste, it's a good drink. Just don't think I could handle more then 1 or 2 drinks (even at 8 ounces) per visit. I would definately come back, but not when I'm in a beer mood....

Yelp
Super unique brewery and definitely something new in a pretty packed beer scene! We got a sampler of 6 beers, three of each type that Dos Luces offers- the Chicha and the pulque. The cranberry lime was especially delicious, and all were refreshing. Prices are fair, but not a steal. I think if I were a gluten free drinker I would especially appreciate this place, but definitely will go back when I want something light and refreshing, especially in the summer! It's a great stop on a weekend, and can be paired for a fun and different combo with Black Project a few doors down.

Yelp
Super cute space with interesting beers- not your normal brewery! Definitely a cool vibe and will be coming back to visit!

Yelp
Delicious beer. Happy to help celebrate their 1st Anniversary. Just a relaxed vibe where you can enjoy a distinctive beer and conversation. Just the fact you can have conversation without yelling is treat.

Yelp
Great change of pace from the many many other breweries that Denver is graced by. Beautiful open space that is full of amazing light (in the afternoon at least), would be a good spot to do some work and enjoy pulque...which is lighter than beer and can keep your energy focused.
