Google
Angela was the absolute best! Probably one of the reasons why I would come back Food was so good got appetizers and shared a plate. Amazing place for date night or family gathering. Vibes are good you can’t dress down or dress up good on noise level.

Josie H.

Google
Went on a date night with my husband to Dos Olivos, and hands down—one of the best dining experiences we've had! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. Angela took such great care of us—she was attentive, friendly, and really elevated the entire experience, from offering wine samples to ensuring everything was perfect throughout our meal. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the RGV! Dos Olivos truly has something special going on.

Yahaira G.

Google
The food here is a little pricey but tastes pretty good. My boyfriend said its the best steak hes had in a while. I got the Chipotle Salmon and it was so tender. Our waitress named Angela was so patient with us when selecting wines. She took the time to give us samples until we settled on something we enjoyed. Over all it was a great experience.

Google
We had a great experience at Dos Olivos in Harlingen. Our waiter Marco was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The chicharrones appetizer was fresh full of flavor. For our entrées, the fried chicken sandwich and the fried salmon sandwich were both delicious—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and well-seasoned. Overall, Marco’s service and the quality of the food made our visit outstanding. Highly recommend!

Google
We stopped in last-minute on a Friday and were so happy we did! Everything we ordered was delicious. Chicken karaage, patatas bravas, broccolini, and whipped feta with warm pita. Plenty for 2 people to share. Angela took great care of us. Fun date night spot!

Google
I had a wonderful dining experience at Dos Olivos in Harlingen. Our server, Angela, provided exceptional service—she was knowledgeable, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome throughout the evening. We ordered the charcuterie board, the steak, and the feta cheese board. Each dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The ingredients were clearly high-quality, and the combinations offered a perfect balance of taste and texture. From the ambiance to the service and the food, everything exceeded expectations. I highly recommend Dos Olivos for anyone looking for a refined yet inviting dining experience in the area.

Google
First time here and I loved the place. Great food, good vibes, and amazing service! If you go, ask for Anissa 😁 she helped with food recommendations and was knowledgeable of their ingredients.

Google
The food here here was really good. It is a one of the few upscale establishments located in Harlingen. We started with the Chicharon appetizer which had tons of flavor. I had the 10 oz. pork steak and fries. It was really good. My wife had the salmon which she enjoyed a lot. It had a sweet glaze and a tropical Pico. For dessert, benignets with a horchata creme sauce. They were amazing. They had a nice crispy outside with a soft fluffy inside. I was very pleased. The dining area isn't huge but it still felt roomy. They also have a nice upscale market with spices and sauces. If I had any complaint it, our waitress was okay. I have had much worse and much better.

Yelp
The wine and appetizers are so delicious. I have tried 4 of them and all were great. It is also a very relaxing environment

Kameron D.

Yelp
I like to go here for lunch, it's a great place to get an amazing burger or a really good sandwich. The food is very good. The service is good and the ambience is nice. We like to sit outside, but I do sit inside sometimes. They've got great deals on olive oil. That's for sure.

Yelp
Wine margaritas flight was an excellent choice to wet the palate. From mango watermelon strawberry to pomegranate flavors was creative. Risotto plate and salmon glazed pomegranate was unique presentation. This place is located near the expressway for being a Saturday evening I was surprised this place was not packed. Sat outside in the patio. The inside is like a contemporary rustic ambience. Plus they had live music. I recommend this place. The downfall in my perception is that the server had forgotten to check up on us. That can be easily corrected. The place is clean and has an inviting feel.

Yelp
I stop in just for desert!! I love bread pudding and make it a point to search for it when I'm out of town on business. The vibe and service was great. The dessert was amazing warm and served with ice cream.

Yelp
My experience here at Dos Olivos was AWESOME! Angel was our server and was constantly making sure everything was perfect! I can't wait to come here again! The vibes in here were gorgeous as well. FOOD WAS DELISH!
google avatar

Gina M.

Yelp
5 Stars service! Great atmosphere! I had the Salmon sticky chipotle salmon, Chemistry Pinot Noir and for dessert dark chocolate churros with French Press coffee. Everything was very flavorful! Well worth the price! Classy and best in Harlingen!

Sophie F.

Yelp
Really horrible service, waited around for around an hour for our food and then another 30 minutes for a check, we went to pay up front and they double charged us for tip. Restaurant only had 2 other tables. food was nothing special. Do not recommend.

Camila

Yelp
Had Angel as my waiter, she was amazing checked in a good amount of times and made sure we had our glasses filled up and made sure our food was to our liking. Food was great and very tasteful!

Yelp
Food is amazing: Pan Tomate is worth feasting on. El Olivo: skip it. Burrata Salad: best you'll ever eat. Barbacoa Donuts: it's good but probably never again. Dessert? We had all three, very worth it. Service: spotty or perhaps they prefer every single employee to service a table and to never be present more than once? Not sure.

Yelp
I stopped in here after walking out of a disappointing restaurant. This place was super nice, fresh and clean like a kind of lounge. They have beer and wines both on tap. The service staff were very nice. I ordered a beer from a TX brewery and the eggs and sausage plate. The food was so good! The eggs were some of the best I have ever had. I definitely give this place the thumbs up, avoid the fast food and check this place out!

Yelp
For the TL;DR folks: run, don't walk, over to Dos Olivos Market because it is a really lovely little hangout. Time for the nitty gritty! My husband and I walked in and straightaway B greeted us warmly. Very nice introduction to the restaurant. For cocktail drinkers, it would appear that Dos Olivos only has wine and beer, plus some frozen margarita machines, in lieu of a full bar. This did not deter us because the wine selection is gigantic; we're not beer drinkers but that selection is really stellar, too. The APPY! We kicked off our meal with the pork belly chicharrones: cubed, fried pork belly over mashed avocado, to be scooped up with fresh, crunchy tortilla chips lightly dressed in a really terrific margarita-inspired vinaigrette. It was lovely, highly recommend. (Pork could've been crispier, but that's a me thing, not a them thing). The MAIN EVENT! We ordered a smorgasbord, and I'll break down each. -Caesar Salad Elote: Worlds collided- a classic Ceasar salad and a street corn- and it was decent, but nothing to write home about. The Caesar dressing was a super aggressive flavor, IMO, but the fresh, sweet corn stood up against it just fine. Order it or don't, it won't make or break. -Truffle Mac & Cheese: SO GOOD. Not sure what noodles they use in place of traditional elbow pasta, but goodness me it was cooked perfectly and the cheese sauce was delightful - creamy, not overly salty, thick and rich. Very nice! My only observation was that the truffle was practically non-detectable. Either way, order it because it was a very decent plate of pasta. -Broccolini: The broccolini was nothing special. Sautéed, lightly oiled, and I think it had bacon or pancetta, maybe some shallots strewn about the plate, but meh. Not memorable, but a thing to order if you wanna get your greens in. -Baby Back Ribs: Very yummy! The meat tasted like a breakfast sandwich, and I mean that in the best way possible - marinated in sweet tea, and dressed in a jelly, jammy red barbecue sauce, I'd definitely recommend those! Little chewy, but very good either way. -Pork Loin: This was an EPIC entree. The portion is absolutely gigantic, way more than enough for two (I'm having leftovers for lunch today). The pork was cooked very nicely, SUPER tender, and it had stewed, juicy tomatoes peppered across the platter, along with its own jus (not in a cup or anything, but just on the plate). The 'MARKET': Super cute, super cute. Gourmet oils, gourmet soup bases, wines, beers, and, my favorite thing: their own selection of artisan pickles (it's their own brand, even!). I ended up purchasing the pickled habanero garlic cloves (SO GOOD), and the pickled green tomatoes (too sweet, not my favorite).

Yelp
Cool looking place. Great food and service. So, so wine selection, but still with coming to.

Dean F.

Yelp
Great decor and set up. Interesting menu and wine list. Never got to try any of it sat for 15 minutes without service for three of us. Was a slow night there were 3 other tables. Waitress was behind the counter playing on her phone, other server was no better. Won't be returning.

Yelp
We were from out of town for a meeting and had a party of 14. We had a reservation and we were very excited about our visit. The decor was awesome and very relaxing. Unfortunately that is about all that was nice. We arrived at 6:30 (our reservation time) We ordered our drinks and food. I read the time that our order was placed in the system at 6:57. We waited, waited and waited, finally at 8:25 all but 2 of us received their meal. Everyone received their meals in 5-7 minute increments instead of all at once. We waited a few more minutes in hopes that the final two would receive their meal. They never arrived, we asked and guess what, those 2 orders were never turned in. By this time it's 8:50. We eat our cold food which was not impressive. I ordered the Texas Porchetta and sautéed mushrooms. I am still trying to figure out what kind of mushrooms I received. They were swimming in oil, and tasteless. The Porchetta was also less than favorable. The only thing that was edible was the slaw on top of the Porchetta which was burnt on the bottom and was tough. We finally were finished and received our tickets, after another staff member came around and had to reenter our orders. When we received our tickets we were astonished with the service charge (tip) of 21%! Now I have worked as a waitress and I know with a large group there is an automatic tip charge, and because of my previous waitress experience I always leave more than what is the automatic tip charge. Not this time! First our service was horrible, it was a charge of 21%, which was extremely frustrating. 2 people did not receive their food, we all drank water or tea, we were there until 10 pm and had to pay that much tip! After we all paid our bill they came back and did not add our drinks to our bill. They never offered any kind of discount, compensation or apology for the inconvenience of our time, they were worried about who was going to pay for the teas that were ordered. We were all so disappointed and taken advantage of. We left with absolutely no intentions of ever returning. By the way the two who did not receive their meals, stopped Chick Fil A on the way back to our hotel. We were all so disappointed and I have never experienced anything like this in my many years. I hope they can get their act together, because it could be a charming place where a group could enjoy themselves. I have included a picture of my receipt as well as the sautéed mushrooms.

Yelp
A lovely discovery in Harlingen- Ambiance - I loved it! On a Saturday night this place was full, but we didn't have to wait to be seated. The vibe was chill, live music was not too loud and you didn't have to fight the music to have a conversation. Overall this place is classy without being stuffy. We came after work in T-shirts and sneakers and didn't feel awkward. Part of the casual nature - You order drinks at the counter, take a seat with a number, order at the table and then pay up front when you're ready giving them your table number. Food - a couple of the steaks featured up front in the case were not in the best shape. (One was a browning/grayish.) But they assured a fresh cut and my friend had a marinated ribeye which is not pictured, but was very delicious with the LO sauce. I am a big gnocchi fan, so I ordered the butternut squash with gnocchi and WOW who knew butternut squash could be so well seasoned. It was buttery, caramel-y and savory all at the same time. The fried onions and jalapeño added heat and complexity just lovely. The only miss was the gnocchi. What is normally soft pillowy goodness was fried and tough and didn't add any flavor. It added texture, but not in a good way. It fought the perfect firm scoopable squash because it was chewy. So I would recommend a softer pan fry and perhaps an herbed gnocchi to compliment the squash. Burrata Salad - I mean Burrata anything is going to be an instant winner so this was no exception. It's a bed of shredded kale with tangy vinaigrette capped with burrata. The special pop (no pun intended) is the sprinkled toasty popcorn (I think). Just lovely contrast of toasty flavor and crunch. That said it was a little out of balance with the amount of kale and vinaigrette. I think a little sweeter dressing or an additional drizzle of olive on top would help. Because most of the moisture was coming from the burrata and I felt most of the salad was plain kale by the time I finished the cheese. Wine - they don't have many options by the glass. I went with a red blend but would have loved a Malbec. Perhaps as they get more data from customers they can expand their by the glass options. Staff: Professional, prompt. They all seem bought in and proud of the establishment. Perhaps it's family owned but that pride and ownership comes through. If you're in Harlingen or looking for a girls night or date night spot, definitely put this on the top of the list!

Yelp
Bad service uninterested, limit menu food bad burn and very expensive for quantity and quality just renaming of food to make sound expensive the items were stall Ing

Yelp
The barbacoa donuts were eye opening and life changing. Great ambience, great food, great service made for an excellent date with the wife. It is worth every penny.
google avatar

Leonardo F.

Yelp
Very delicious food and good service. Not too busy and aesthetically pleasing for a nice lunch/dinner date.
google avatar

Penny C.

Yelp
I love this place. Always excited to go eat there. I'm addicted to the barbacoa donuts - I know they sound weird but they are heavenly. They are spicy, the doughnut is only slightly sweet and so soft. The street corn was my favorite this time - it was a party in my mouth. My second favorite, which isn't shown because I ate it before I remembered the picture is the Karaange chicken. It's crunchy on the outside but tender, full of spice and flavor. The ribeye was tender and savory (I just had a few tastes from the hubs.) The mushrooms were very fresh tasting.

Yelp
I really like and enjoy this place. I am from LA. Here to see if I can call Harlingen or Brownsville my new home. I somehow just found this place, and when I walked in, the server was so nice. She said I could sit at the bar and she could keep me company. Everyone in there was so welcoming and friendly. The food and drinks were really good! I am so happy I found this place!

Hugo P.

Yelp
Dos Olivos has the best burgers in Harlingen in my opinion. The burger and fries are so good that I come here at least once per week. The service is great too. I've tried other things on the menu and so far nothing has disappointed me. Look at this view. I'm talking about the food by the way .

Alexy G.

Yelp
My first time trying their brunch and I absolutely loved it, it's so unique and delicious

Eugene T.

Yelp
Everything was delicious including the roasted corn!!!! Great service and when I go back to the valley I will be going back to this place !! Service was also great the ambiance was also really nice !!!
google avatar

Dave D.

Yelp
Good variety of drinks to choose from. Their burger was pretty good. Their hot sandwich was more sweet than hot. Service was okay. Live music and ambiance was nice. It's a chill spot
google avatar

Jen M.

Yelp
My husband and I were in town for work, and we came across this place. I was thrown a bit by the name that includes "market", but it's actually a very nice upscale café atmosphere. You can order custom wine flights and wines by the glass. They also have a beer selection, but we are not beer drinkers so we did not try anything. The service is really fantastic, and this would be a fun place for a night out with friends or a date. My husband had the hot honey chicken sandwich, and I had the roasted squash with gnocchi. We shared the homemade pimento cheese and chicharrones. Such a fun little stop - great wine selection for winos like us. I'm wishing that there was someplace like this near us at home, but if we find ourselves in Harlingen again, we would come here!

Yelp
This place is a nice surprise & addition to Harlingen. Went on my date night with my hubby & it felt like a getaway. There was live music(2 ladies singing amazing) that added more to the place. We ordered El Olivo as appetizer, which is an Asiago dom garlic olive monkey bread that is baked in a clay pot & is pulled apart. It is moist, tart with a taste of balsamic & so delishes. Then we had the Burrata Salad which was very fresh & tast with a white balsamic vinaigrette with some shiso leaves & petite tomatoes. Our main entrées consisted of the Fried Chicken Sandwich, which has came with a clay pot of French fries & I ordered a side if Mexican street corn. So, the name doesn't do it justice. It isn't your typical fried chicken sandwich. It's fried, but dipped in a Nashville Hot Caramel sauce, making sweet, tangy & garlicky which is super good. The street corn is not your typical with mayo, chili etc., but it's still very good with their cream, lime & Parm cheese. My hubby ordered the grilled chicken thigh with the campfire baked beans; he said it was good. ‍ They have this really good sweet mint tea that complimented our meal. This place is a nice date night getaway which you must try, or, could also be a getaway with friends, but not with kids.

Yelp
Great, fresh food and wine selection. A different vibe for the area! The share plates are excellent.
google avatar

Liliana M.

Yelp
We didn't try their food. We stopped in to take a look at their merch. Prices aren't listed on several on their merchandise so be ready for that. They do have a lot of interesting "canned goods" for lack of a better term, but to be prepared to pay a pretty penny.
google avatar

Viviana M.

Yelp
They have a small marketincluding spices, olive oils, etc. but also amazing food. I had grilled chicken with asparagus and it was delicious. Alex was my server and she suggested a great red wine for me to try. Aaron G. was singing and playing so the musical atmosphere was sensational. I would definitely like to go again and try something different on the menu. Thank you Dos Olivos for a great first time experience! I highly recommend your place
google avatar

Nataly G.

Yelp
Despite the other reviews, I went in last night reuniting with a couple of my great friends. We were greeted and seated promptly, attended right away with our drink orders. Our server was awesome and quirky. Ambiance was great although live music was a tad bit on the louder side and the lights were very bright for evening time. We ordered a great amount of shareables which each were different and flavorful. Our entrees were VERY well served and quality was great as well. I feel like I could have shared my tenderloin and side of truffle Mac and cheese because of the large amount of food. Everyone was very attentive including the manager! Definitely recommend and will be visiting again.
google avatar

Victoria M.

Yelp
Great place for date night, girls night out or brunch:) it is a market so you order ahead of time but that didn't take away from the experience. We when did date night and it was relaxing and fun! They had music and set the mood perfectly. Lots of options for food, drinks and desserts.

Gary M.

Yelp
food and service were simply average. prices were high. It was recommended but other than the wine, nothing stood out.
google avatar

Stephanie L.

Yelp
My husband and I took my mother out for dinner this evening and stumbled upon Dos Olivos. What a wonderful experience we had--from choosing our table near the wine wall, to receiving a knowledgeable recommendation from our waitress on a wine, to navigating the delectable options on the menu, to our last bite. The food was REALLY good. We had the rib-eye with truffle mac and cheese and street corn that the chefs were happy to cut off the cob for us, followed by a lovely bread pudding for dessert. It was all scrumptious! The atmosphere is laid back, yet sophisticated--no need to dress to the nines. We will most certainly become regulars here.
google avatar

Grisel A.

Yelp
First time bringing my family here and we LOVED this place! Definitely a new FAVORITE for us! Everyone was so friendly and helpful and every dish was delicious!! We highly recommend the Burrata salad, The squid ink Carbonara and the Churro waffle. Try them, you won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Erica D.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere and delish food and wine. Loved so much we went back a week later!
google avatar

Alyza R.

Yelp
Good food and unique dining experience. Love how they also have like a little market inside the restaurant.

Brenda P.

Yelp
The ambiance is nice. Great variety of wines. Food is good. Need more sitting room around the bar area.

Lisa C.

Yelp
Wanted to try a new restaurant with my boyfriend on date night. We like to support small businesses and try new places, so we decided on Dos Olivos Market. I am not much of a person who writes reviews but decided I needed to for this restaurant. I have to admit the salmon was not tasty & steak was well overdone. Waitress also seemed like she was having a bad day & was not happy to be working at that time. Gave the restaurant 2 stars due to the fact there were not many people - now I totally understand why. Will NOT be returning. TWO THUMBS DOWN
google avatar

Mitch W.

Yelp
This restaurant is more of a wine and beer bar, as the selection of food is somewhat lacking. The food is overpriced with the quantity less than satisfactory. I ordered the Caesar salad with chicken and for almost $20 the amount of chicken equaled maybe a tender at best. Since I served as the designated driver, a coke was charged at a $5 premium. I had the bread pudding for desert and it had more crumbled Oreos than bread pudding. I won't be going back.

Liliana R.

Yelp
Food was absolutely delicious and the portions were perfect to fill a stomach. The ambiance was captivating and welcoming. I loved the wine wall and comfortable lounge chairs. Service was the only thing that could've been better. They are sweet, but rarely checked on the table for more water or to ask how the food tasted and if we needed any other condiments or wanted to try another dish.
google avatar

Mary M.

Yelp
Went to visit with a friend...Way too overpriced for product. Beers are tiny (bc of this, again, Overpriced). Food is ALL "show", no real substance. Macaroni was good, though. 3 items, and about $100 poorer, not worth it. Disappointed.
google avatar

Holly F.

Yelp
Come here if money is no object. They won't advertise their $4 for a 1/12 ounce tasting until you have already had a few tastings. What a waste of space in Buda!

Treasure T.

Yelp
Came here for the first time tonight. The barbacoa donuts were a winner for sure! The scallops were delicious but on the smaller side and the pork schnitzel was perfectly crispy but could've used a little more flavor. We got the wine flight and it was good. I wish they also served liquor but will definitely be returning to try out other menu item.
google avatar

Linda F.

Yelp
Dined in the other day at Dos Olivos, great atmosphere and even better customer service. Definitely gonna visit again soon!

Brandon R.

Yelp
Best salmon and steak in town, bread pudding is by far the tastiest thing I've ever eaten. The barbacoa donut is a must try!! Great service and huge variety of wines

Oscar T.

Yelp
The food was superb. Service was great. The decor was magnificent. The ambiance was warming.

Laura L.

Yelp
While visiting Harlingen, a local friend suggested Dos Olivos for a late lunch. The staff was immediately friendly, and the decor and overall ambience was very nice. They have an all-day Sunday brunch menu which is different from the rest of the week. The menu offers a lot of shareable options and the portions did not disappoint. I had a chicken sandwich on croissant with a fried egg, asparagus & hollandaise sauce, my friend had a short rib burger & fries, and we shared roasted corn and a side of pork belly. Everything was decadent, delicious and we each had leftovers to enjoy at home:) Bellinis and wine on tap were a special treat! Such a lovely space - I would love to return another evening to relax and enjoy wine and more of the menu options. Highly recommend!!

Luis F.

Yelp
California prices in Harlingen Tx overpriced local beer dont order the chicken sandwich they somehow managed to ruin thigh chicken meat and the fries had a hair on It really not what you would expect for the price

Jaime R.

Yelp
This is an update on a previous review I gave. They realized it wasn't too working as planned as this restaurant is viewed as an upscale restaurant in the RGV versus the Texas Hill Country. I tried it again and now they sit u and take your order there. In the past u did not know if u would sit in a table (dinner shift); bar or in a chair with no table. Noticed they opened outdoors as well. Maybe reservations will be accepted in the future? In a nutshell; great food and venue and is tailoring to community expectations. Thumbs up
