Great people and authentic South Indian food. Call in advance if you have any onion & garlic allergies, they make adjustments for you.

We had Rava masala dosa and regular masala dosa. Everything was so good and at unbelievably lower price than market! I usually do not post reviews but I need to tell others how good this place is. It is a small place but food is Five star! They also gave us "paan shots" free of cost to try which were amazing. We loved the hospitality of the owner. He came to us a few times to enquire about the food. This place is awesome and authentic taste for south Indian food!

We were craving for south Indian food so we looked up on internet and found this place which had good reviews regarding dosa. So we decided to eat at this place. DosaHut is a small restaurant with a limited seating capacity. For dinner we ordered Chole Bhature, Jaipur Paneer Dosa, Urad Vada, Masala Dosa and Chilli Rava Masala. We got our order quickly in around 10 mins. Chole Bhature was okay but the dosas were amazing. The best dosas I have had in Tampa. The standout was Jaipur Paneer Dosa. It was amazing in taste and had right amount of spice. The rest of them were also amazing. Do try out this place as they are serving amazing dosas. For Saturday brunch, we decided to have dosa from DosaHut. Since we had dosa from DosaHut before so, we kind of knew what to expect and what was the menu. When we entered the restaurant we got seated and after browsing through the menu we ordered Mysore Masala Dosa, Chili Rava Masala Dosa and Masala Idli. The service was good and soon we got our dosa as well as Idli. First we had Mysore Masala Dosa. The masala in dosa was cooked perfectly and dosa was delicious along with sambhar and chutney. Delicious dosa. Then we had Chili Rava Masala Dosa which was spicy with green chili and that made it delicious and tasty. Then we had Masala Idli which was soft and cooked perfectly and we had it with sambhar. The dosa and idli that we had at DosaHut was amazing especially dosas.

How much do I love Dosa Hut? I drive two-hours round trip regularly to dine on their South Indian delicacies! My favorites are the Mysore masala dosa and pani puri. The spices are perfect and everything is always fresh. The family that runs the operation are lovely, as well. Especially the young fellow - he always remembers our favorite items and makes us feel welcome. Be sure to stop in and taste for yourself!

We ordered: Cheese and Onion dosa Ghee Masala Dosa Urad Vada Masala Dosa Chili Rava Masala Dosa Uttapam Everything came with a delicious, slightly spicy lentil soup with vegetables as well as some chutneys. The green one had a lot of ginger in it which I love. The Urad Vada was crispy. The batter was good but I would try the masala vada next time for some added flavor. The dosas were all delicious. Crispy where it counts and packed with filling. The cheese and Onion dosa had a ton of onions and the other dosas were filled with potatoes. I don't see the uttapam on the online menu but that was tasty as well. Covered in toppings you could barely see the dosa. The owner said they do a lot of catering and let us try a little bit of stuff from that as well. There was a sweet dish called almond halwa that was incredible. Not overly sweet and an interesting texture had us keep taking bites of it even though we were stuffed. Great experience, the owner is very nice. It's kind of a long way for us but we would go out of our way to go here.

Google
Dosa hut is a neighborhood south Indian restaurant. The quality of the food has improved over the years and provide consistent fresh food .Infact I would its better than what you will get in the Hindu Temple canteen . We always go for the Mysore Dosa and the Masala Dosa..Both have tasted great in the recent past. The Mango shake is also good Highly recommend incase you are craving for south Indian Food.

Yelp
Went on a Wednesday night to Dosa Hut. There were hardly anyone at the place. Seems they were waiting. We ordered Baby Corn Manchurian, Kanchipuram Idli, Masala Dosa and Rava Dosa. The batter was so much fermented that you can smell the sourness in the dosas. I was expecting good dosas as the name says Dosa Hut. Our dosas at home are far better than this place. The red chutney served, I can definitely say that was not made that morning. Sambar was also seem left over. Overall didn't had a good experience. Comparatively the Kanchipuram Idlis were streamed and fresh so they were good, but definitely not any of the chutneys or Sambar. And not to mention the Baby Corn appetizer was also ok. Revisiting this place- not in my list. Seems like a family owned restaurant or not, my suggestion is to maintain the quality, so that customers will revisit.

Yelp
Called in for a carry out order. 2 Dosa's nothing crazy. They told me 20 mins on the phone. I arrived 25 mins later and they told me something happened in the kitchen and that it would take another 20 mins. An hour and 30 mins later still NO food. Mean while I have watched 3 other customers come in and leave with their food. Never again will I give that filthy establishment my money.

Yelp
Flavorless food, bad ambience. Not sure if it was a bad day or food is like this on daily basis. We had to leave half of the food we ordered. Hope they improve soon.

Yelp
Great dosas - simple and perfect just like you would expect in a road-side Dhaba in India .

Yelp
The spring dosa and rava chile dosa were excellent. The chutneys were good but the sambhar was ok not tasty and too salty. The bhel puri was good. We didn't like the papdi chat. The portions are huge. Small restaurant but we liked it and we will go again.

Yelp
Superb idli's and Mysore Masai dosa. Really good. Please order and support your local dosa place in these times of COVID. Tastes really good. Best to take out.

Yelp
Dosa hut is our go to for Dosa! Everything is fresh and delicious! My husband is South Indian and he says it is very authentic!

Yelp
This restaurant is the former DosaHut off Hillsborough that was recently shut down due to lack of business. The restaurant had a soft launch this past week and I'm very sorry to say that the quality is extremely poor. My family and I arrived to dirty tables that were then cleaned with a used wet towel that left a horrible stench. The menu was hand written on a piece of paper and was limited. I ordered a masala dosa which was served crispy however the masala filling was cold and presumably made the day before. I've had Campbell's canned soup that had better quality, consistency, and taste than the Sambar served here. It appeared that the sambar was diluted with cold water for cost savings. The coconut chutney had no flavor and needs a bit of everything. I was asked to purchase soft drinks from the restaurant next door because there were none available. This establishment puts a major blemish on Indian cuisine and seems to be a disappointment to those living in the New Tampa area. I'd recommend Curry Leaves or Bay Leaves as a much better alternatives to great South Indian food in Tampa Bay.
