"Want the one-line hot take? Dosa is kind of dull. But my job is to make this review exciting, so that three minutes of your day will be well-spent instead of shamefully wasted. So what makes Dosa interesting? It’s a signature example of an odious trend – the weakening of BOLD FLAVORS. Guy Fieri may have corrupted the term beyond cliché, but there’s a kernel of truth there. Subtlety is all well and good, but sometimes (often) we want our food to punch us in the mouth. Especially at an Indian restaurant. When the namesake dish requires liberal application of hot sauces and chutneys to taste like anything, we start to wonder. When the lentils that are theoretically “piped with tamarind and mint” taste like neither, we start to worry. And when the uttapam – a steroidal pancaked version of a dosa – resembles an undercooked savory Bisquik creation, we start to get a little upset. Wherefore art thou, bland flavors? What happened to the spices and sorcery we were promised? We’ve had more flavorful versions of vada pav and various chutneys at Curry Up Now, which is basically an active protest against the grammar of three different languages disguised as a restaurant (Quesadillix? Punjabi By Nature?). As for Dosa itself, we’ve only been to the cozy neighborhood outpost on Valencia. The Fillmore option looks palatial, but it’s hard to see ourselves venturing over there given the disappointments in the Mission. (Update: My co- reviewer has been to Fillmore and feels much the same.) We believe Dosa can rise again. But right now it’s just another okay Indian restaurant, and expensive to boot. Hard to argue there’s a good reason to run over. Food Rundown Chutney Sampler Chips and dip for the Indian set — a great way to start your meal, and the punchiest tastes you’re likely to get. Dahi Vada Lentil fritters with no sign of the tamarind and mint within. Pretty much the definition of bland. Dosa We’ve tried a couple of these and they all kind of tasted the same. They tasted like dough, even with liberal chutney application. But these are just too large (18-inch diameter?) to have so little flavor. Get whatever dosa has the most stuff on top of it. Uttapam Basically a heavier, gooey version of the dosa. We’ve done the onion, which is okay, but you kind of end up feeling like you’re eating an undercooked pizza. Not that that’s something we haven’t considered doing from time to time, but the dough has got to taste better for it to be a really attractive option. Hyderbadi Lamb Chops Pretty good, but a bit concise on the portion. We could have used more of the straight #meeeeeats." - Max Child

Google
I ordered veg Manchurian and I found a 🐜 in the recipe, I show that to the service guy in the front he gave samosas free but I finally say that the food was not fresh and food is getting bad smell like they cooked it long back and they are heating it and serving. And one of the major drawbacks was they serve food in plastic plates which is not good. My rating for food is 1 from 1-10

Google
The food was OK but but a little more pricey compared to a couple other places I tend to go to. The other issue was there was a couple of flies lies inside here that a few guests were constantly waving away from their tables. The drink selection was not that great that great so basically you're stuck with a mango Lassie blossy, a can of Is thumbs up or wate. There was also no chutney bar. Service was ok but felt very rushed and We were almost a little blown off because we weren't the normal crowd. We will have to come back after they've been open for a bit. The Spring dosa was tasty but some of the other items items were a little overcooked. The rice was a little mushy with my wife's dish.

Coming back to this place after a little while, I don't recommend it for regular Dosa, Idly & Vada because Dosa is more like a papad, Idly is basically an instant Idly & Vada is full of wet batter. If you want some chat or Vada pav for those is ok to visit.

Google
The food at Dosa n’ More is incredible! It is our favorite restaurant. This is REAL, AUTHENTIC Indian street food. We’ve tried most of the menu and have loved everything. Our favorite entrees are Dabang Dosa, Dal Tadka, and Vada Pav. This is also a great place if you are adventurous to say “give us a couple entrees” and see what happens! This restaurant is truly a family run operation. Please support them; their prices are very reasonable!

Google
The dosa is very good here, as is the sambar and chutneys. They make the sambar spicy, which I like because it tastes like home. I will say it would be nice if they used regular plates, instead of plastic for the food, since plastic isn't the healthiest material for us. Overall, it's very good local place to have dosa.

Google
Very much enjoyed this different style of Indian food that I’m used too. Had Dosa before but this was much better.

Yelp
Came here with my family on a Saturday night and we ordered a bunch of food. We ordered a plain paper dosa for my kids and requested it come quickly (because kids) and they obliged. My parents got a paper masala dosa and enjoyed it. I split a spring dosa, chole puri (they were out of bathura), and a Manchurian roll with my husband and brother. We could not eat the spring dosa because it was way too spicy for both me and my brother, but my husband could handle the heat. My kids were still hungry after the dosa and I got them an order of idli. The mango lassis are some of the best I've had recently! It's a very bare bones type of vibe, and that's ok as long as you're not expecting anything fancy. The people that work there are kind, but you can tell that they're feeling pressure while working. When in the area, we'd definitely come back here.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing! Great chaat, dosa and lassi! This lunch made my whole month. I can't wait to go back. Delicious for sure!

Yelp
So happy to stop by and had great vegetarian Indian lunch. I couldn't even make decision about my choice and the staff was beyond happy to help. Even that help I still ordered 2 dishes for just myself to enjoy. My lunch was delicious and above my expectation. I would come back for sure when I am around that area.

Yelp
Better than chaatpatay. Closer than chaat n dosa... Dosa n' More has a very specialized select street non meat street food options. The Chole Bhature is my absolute favorite dish as chickpea is among my favorite legume. The Curry is done in a way that's hard to pass up. It is medium spiced you can request a toned down spice. Or grab a mango lassi if you feel like it's going to be too much! The lady was a fan of the Mysore Dosa, which a large rice paper(thin) pancake rolled with spices, some chutney(salsa/sauce/ in the middle and spiced potato on top. It comes with some Sambar(Indian veg soup) The next thing you need to try is the Dahi or Dehi Puri - their version is the best in town. If you are looking for non meat/ veg options this is the place for you

Yelp
Food was amazing for this to be no meat! Staff was very attentive. Very fast set. Nice set for a quick meal. This will be my go to for vegan meals.

Yelp
I was so nervous when this spot was recommended to me but after ordering my food and eating it, I was amazed, excited, happy and I even did a little jig because the food was so good. I will definitely bring friends the next time I come. I ordered what was recommended by the nurse and what was recommended by the cook and it was absolutely delicious. I can't wait until next time. Idella :)

Yelp
New Menu!! At least from the last time we came here. So many more great choices, you really can not go wrong. If you are not sure what you want, the staff is super helpful at recommending dishes to you. We have had many different dishes recommended to us and none have disappointed.

Yelp
This place used to be great and I apologize for not leaving a review earlier but not ast of Jan 2024 this is a big . Food quality in the toilet and service to match.

Gary L.

Yelp
Great staff and great Indian street food, sampled several dishes, all were great, give them a try.

Yelp
I was surprised to find this spot in the middle of Tega Cay/Fort Mill area! I went with a girlfriend who says she likes Indian food but had not had any street food. I like Chaat n Dosa over in Ballentyne so I really had to give this place a shot too. The menu is clearly split into sections for Idli, Dosa, Uttapam, Chaat, and beverages. They had all the staples. They were out of a few things, but that was fine because they had lots of other choices. The dahi sev puri had 8 pieces that were deliciously tangy. The masala dosa was thin and crispy and large! The idli were large and fluffy - I liked the ghee and spice mixture in terms of flavor, but I didn't really care for the crunchiness (but I am quite sensitive to small crunchy things - like I don't really like the seeds in a blackberry). The place was very similar to Chaat n Dosa in terms of self-service for utensils and cleaning up after yourself.

Yelp
We ordered Masala Dosa and they tasted great!! Both the plastic compartment plates and the plastic utensils were cheap. The oversize dosa is impossible eat with the utensils. We ended up eating with hands. It may be customary for some but others it is very messy. It would help if the Dosas are served on a plate without compartments and serve the chutneys in small disposable bowls.

Britanny T.

Yelp
It was more than I was expecting, i dont believe I will return for customer service reasons. Customer service really impacts despite flavor, preparation, or even decor. It's unfortunate because the food was good, I wasn't sure what I was eating but it was good lol

Grace C.

Yelp
Food is outstanding! We ordered the Samosa Chaat and Mysore Masala Dosa and it was delicious. An explosion of flavors. If you love Indian food as much as I do, you must try this gem.

Yelp
After eating the yummy food , I was sitting in restroom with toilet paper In my hand all night the food bothered me. So be careful as the quality of yummy food is going down.

Yelp

Yelp
Most pathetic South Indian food one could ever ask for surprisingly their name is Dosa n more but everything I ordered as takeaway while passing through the town had to be trashed. To start with - Idli was hard as rock and I am not exaggerating and same was Uthappam - guess the same batter was used. Their chutneys were rotten as I can tell from their sour taste and smell. Sambhar was okay but what to have it with as idli uthappam and dosa were all indedible. Pav bhaji and chole puri were all sub standard too.

Vineeta B.

Yelp
Great place and amazing Indian authentic food!! Always makes it fresh and energizing...

Matt F.

Yelp
If you want authentic this is it. Very casual street food cafeteria style. Have to order on line or on tablet. Only bad is they charge for using credit card.

Alan A.

Yelp
For the vegetarian who likes spicy Indian foods, this is for you. The dishes offer a perfect blend of ingredients and spices. Fairly unique menu. Gourmet versions of Indian street food. Great change of pace from the usual restaurant fare.

Sarthak P.

Yelp
Good place for Indian food. I love the crispy dosa and the noodles. I would love them to add some beverages in their menu.. Tea and Coffee will be a big hit.

Venky Y.

Yelp
Dosa is yummy & tasty felt like Banglore ...a great service. I had dosa several places in Charlotte area but this place made feel like I had this back in India

Jaymin P.

Yelp
Decent menu and quick self service spot for south Indian dishes. Tried few items but liked the pulav and dosa more than others.

Jonathan A.

Yelp
The food is spectacular, we've tried several dosas and apps like samosas and vada pav. Everything is extremely flavorful and balanced with the right amount of kick. Definitely going to be back

Jack H.

Yelp
SO GOOD! Best of luck to this place - they don't need it though :) Grab anything on the menu and I'm sure it'll be great

Sweety S.

Yelp
Casual spot for great dosas and chaat. Everything tastes freshly made. The service was good and fast.

Luna P.

Yelp
I was considering moving out of town until I discovered this place nearby. Unbelievably delicious. Everything I've ordered has been incredibly good. Seriously. I can not get stress enough how delicious the food is here. Amazing. I've decided to stay.

Yelp
Bad stale food, they serve the same food , refried! Stay away! Really should be shut down.

Mary Beth C.

Yelp
Had lots of fun trying out this restaurant. The mango lassi was a treat, and the vegetable uttapam was delightful. Service was quick and all the entrees were reasonably priced.

Ashish P.

Yelp
The idlis here are my favorite. Sambar seems to have more turmeric than usual. Their lunch specials are good too.

Malhotra R.

Yelp
Great place for street food .We ordered dosa and thali , it was very tasty and quantity was really good .

Brian L.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the service was great. The owner helped explain the various menu items and even made us a noodle dish to try for free. I highly recommend trying this for a taste of Indian street food.

Kacie L.

Yelp
Everything we ordered here was delicious! Our favorite was the samosa chaat, but seriously delicious and large amounts. Highly recommend!
