Dosey Doe - The Big Barn

The following is based on my personal experience. First, what went fairly well. The ticketing/seating process went well. The servers were pretty good. The acoustics of the building were impressive with no echo or reverb to be heard. Then my food was very meh, lacking flavor. I chose the chicken fried steak. My wife's choice was better with the salmon. What did not go well at all. The View was totally Obstructed (see photo). My wife did call and ask about the view before buying the tickets. The person at Dosey-Doe did say the view would be fine and that we could just turn our chair around or stand up at the railing. Well, it turned out that unless we wanted to sit on the floor or standup blocking the people's view on the other side of the table; the advice was very much wrong. The other 4 people in our row and our side of the long table sat Indian style on the floor. My wife just watched the performance while seated and holding her phone in her lap as sort of a periscope. I wound up sitting against the back wall under an overhang next to a servers station where I had a peek-a-boo view of the stage and performer (see photo) as we are a bit older and are disabled. Hence, I strongly advise against anyone sitting at table 202; a wing of the balcony with low/standard height chairs. If you turn your chair around, you'll be looking directly into a 12 inch timber at eye level (see photo) and if you stand up at the rail (see photo) to look over you'll be totally blocking the view of the other folks that you just sat across the table from while eating. Parking was very limited and I believe there was only one handicap spot, which we needed for both of us as we have limited mobility following multiple orthopedic surgeries and are still undergoing treatments under the care of surgeons. We do have permanent disability plates; not a hanging placard. After some discussion with the person who was directing traffic in the parking lot, we parked next to the one handicap spot, but with room to fully open the drivers side door so I could get out; knowingly leaving parking for the handicap spot tight a bit, but there was enough room for another vehicle to park, which in the end, they did. After parking, I was accosted by a karen while in line to enter the venue after she felt like she had to give ma a piece of her mind. While I was trying to explain to her why I parked as I did, again after discussing it with Dosey-Do's parking director, she told me to shut up and let her finish and I shouldn't interrupt her. Lastly, there was a portable AC unit or dehumidifier whirring (see photo) only a few feet away. This diminished the sound quality of the performance significantly; note also that the audience was asked to keep noise to at the most whisper as even a quiet conversation would carry across the room. The parking and karen incident, the peek-a-boo view, and the noise form the portable AC unit absolutely ruined the experience.

Well let me start by saying that Payton Howie herself got a 10 star for a fabulous, fun energetic show!!! The venue at the Big Barn is excellent. Great acoustic and fabulous service with a smile. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because they promised every seat has a great view. Everyone from my table left to better ones. Very obstructed views. Even though I paid for the $33 seats up stairs. I did have to stand up and lean on the ledge to see the show 100%. I ordered an old fashioned which was a 1 out of 10 for drinks in Houston. Secondly I had a Caesar salad that was also a 1 out of 10. And then there was the croissant peach cobbler that also rated a 0 because there wasn’t anything but a moistened croissant with some cream on the side. No peaches or flavor. So I wouldn’t go there to eat but definitely to catch an awesome show. I can’t say enough how good Payton Howie and her band sounded!!! Looking forward to next time I come out. Perhaps a floor seats better view.

Casual rustic venue. Very good food. Salmon with mushroom risotto & pork tenderloin with smoked gouda grits. The show was very intimate. Gave you the feeling of being on stage with the artist. We enjoyed every song with Harriet. The acoustics are perfect. Very reasonably priced for a show & dinner. We will make this a regular entertainment option.

Very cool place to go and see a show. The food was surprisingly very good as well. Not only was the food good it was reasonably priced. I plan on going back to the place again to see a show and eat. Check it out.

Food was Grrrreat! Phenomenal Experience seeing & listening to " Back In Black">AC/DC TRIBUTE BAND>>They are Only getting Better!!! Service was Excellent; just one Small Blip! Acoustics inside were Incredible-Tremendousky Enjoyable Venue!!

What a fantastic venue! the sound is incredible. And the barbecue was yummy! Love the look and feel of this old place. Have been here for several ticketed events but most recently for a private venue on a Sunday. Very well done!!

Maybe it was an off night but the chicken fried steak was not good. Meat was super tough and had zero flavor. My fiancé had to douse her’s with salt and pepper. After 2 bites I was done. Should have gotten the tacos :-/. Sever says if you would have said something sooner I would have gotten you something else. Hmm all I ate was the sides. Don’t get me wrong I Love the venue and the music.

The food was top-notch! I had the Chicken Fried Steak and it was Amazing! Service was friendly and quick! The waiters and servers were friendly and polite! They were all smiling! The attendants at the door gave a great first impression! A great feeling of being at a comforting cozy home-like restaurant and music venue! Here for a music show - GREAT sound in this place! First Class! An easy 5 Stars!

Been attending concert shows at Dosey Does for several years. It is a small "Listening Room" which offers a up close Artist experience. The acoustics are absolutely amazing. My main issue is that within the past 6-7 months,Management has not reminded, nor enforced the rule of NOT TALKING while the Artist performs. That is TOTALLY DISCREPECTFUL not only to all of the customers, but also to the Artist !!! Happens when the Cowboy Hat, Duster wearing Manager is working.

Went here to see Chad Prather. And it did not disappoint. I have been to Dosey Doe in the past but never for a concert or comedy show. This was an excellent venue! The people that were sitting around us were very nice, and it was very picnic style. The food was pretty good, but you can tell the kitchen was a little overwhelmed by the number of people ordering at the same time. That's OK. It was a prefix menu anyway. Chad was hysterical. All the staff were very nice. The drinks came out promptly. And they had a very good selection of beers. Rick Solid five stars

Came here with some coworkers while in town on a work trip to see Jake Worthington. Unfortunately had to work late so didn't get to see much of the show or eat, but I loved what kind of was able to experience! Staff were helpful in getting us to our seats quick. This was such a cool venue and it made the show feel really intimate. Would definitely go back

We have been in line for more than 40 minutes just to park. Apparently the only parking is thru valet, and apparently they have limited employees. This is ridiculous, missing the first hour of the show. Not cool dosey doe, not cool at all. We bought tickets and after an hour of waiting to park, we get shooed thru by two different men who we thought were valet attendants. They told us to park wherever we wanted, which at this point turned out to be nowhere. We are now leaving, not even getting to go see the concert we paid for. Not at all cool dosey doe. If I could leave a negative stAr review, it would be negative 5

We love coming here to here live music. The friendly staff and the homey feel is a comfortable setting to listen to favorite performers. Food is served which is consistently good and the menu is customized for each event. Plus they serve a wide variety of beverages including my person favorite, cappuccino. It is our favorite venue.

The music is always good, but the food was good this time, whereas before, it was just marginal. The waitstaff was also spot on. I had the chicken fried steak, which was huge and very good. My wife had the smoked pork loin, which was also good. A good surprise!

First timers last night with great friends and won't be the last. Had a wonderful time from the moment we walked in. Everyone was so welcoming and super friendly. We saw Mike Ryan with Kyle Hutton, Real Life Real Music, great show!! We had the dinner and the Chicken Parmesan was so delicious. Great experience and cannot wait to have another.

Stop in for a show and the World Famous Chicken Fried Steak. Get ready to know your neighbors because tables are close.

Awesome music venue. Includes a nice sit down meal prior to the concert. Acoustics we're fantastic. We had seats on the balcony and we're best in the house, in my opinion. Super cute spot. Definitely a must see if you're in the area. Saw Karen Waldrup she was amazing! She puts on a great show!

Mixed feelings... We had tickets for 2 to the Bacon Brothers show September 10th. This was our first time at Dosey Doe Big Barn and our first evening out since Covid began. We arrived 15 minutes before the doors opened. The front lot is small and was filled, but a parking attendant guided us to the Pawn shop lot next door (also small). I can't advise how the parking was in the rear lot. Check in went relatively fast and smooth. The exterior and interior is rustic with cool touches of nostalgia and past artists. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful all evening. The wait staff were stretched thin and worked their butts off. After being seated, my chair was so uncomfortable that I switched with one next to me. It was smaller, rickety and with almost no padding (I could feel the bones). I switched to the next one and it was so tiny as if for a student desk. I ended up back with my original chair. Seating is very tight and you are shoulder to shoulder. After an embarrassing game of musical chairs our drinks came. Hubby had a beer and I, a Rum Punch. Usually this comes in a highball glass with a shot each of 2 different rums; but this came in a tall tea glass. It was weak and tasted watered down. (There was NOT 2 shots of Rum in it.) I thought maybe it sat for a while, but the second one came the same way. At $14 each - I stopped there. This was a Pre-fix dinner with a choice of (1 of 4) entrée and (1 of 2) dessert. Salad was the only choice as appetizer. The salad was a half head of little gem lettuce (not chopped), 2 wafers of spicy cucumber, 1 tiny piece of bacon (like 1" long by ¼" square - literally a sliver), and a sprinkle of breadcrumbs. We opted for no bleu cheese. The avocado dressing was creamy, delicious and served in a plastic to go cup. It was ok. When we ordered, we asked for dessert to be wrapped to-go because we anticipated being too full from the meal. Dinner arrived shortly after the salad was done. Both were cold. Husband ordered the Seared Flounder and I had the Blackened Chicken. He said his Flounder was cooked well and had good flavor; but the risotto was tasteless (I tasted his and agree), with a few slivers of mushroom and a lot of corn that didn't taste like it was roasted. He only ate the fish and mushrooms. There was no "bacon drizzle" flavor to be found. Don't ask what the dark things were in the dish... greens? Everyone was questioning it and leaving it. The Blackened Chicken had thick, white, rubbery skin and was dry - as if poached too long. No Blackened skin - No spice - no salt! I peeled it away because I was unable to cut through it. The farro was so bland and tasteless that after one bite I was done. Even salt and pepper couldn't save it. There was no black garlic flavor anywhere in this dish. The WHOLE greens were so undercooked that I had to spit them back out because they were too tough to break down! (Even hard to cut with a knife!) And no bacon flavor in them as well. The people on both sides of us ordered the same and it arrived the same as ours. One man commented that perhaps the executive chef was borrowed from a hospital. I have to say, sadly, I've had better food in a hospital. I saw many full plates going back after the meal. After the meal we didn't eat, we both had a cup of coffee. (A Mocha Cappuccino and a Vanilla Cappuccino.) Both were large and excellent. The only 2 desserts offered were very sweet ones. We ordered one of each to go. Our neighbors on both sides were not happy with them. The brownie looked like something you made at home with a dollop of whipped cream from a can and a hint of crumble on top. The Bread pudding looked odd and the caramel sauce tasted burnt. No bacon to be had. We threw them out. The show was excellent and the sound quality very good. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house because of the layout. If you get stuck behind a post, you are allowed to go up to the birds nest on the 3rd floor. We had premium seats, so this was not a cheap evening. I know we were there for the show; but if you are going to offer an executive chef meal with it - then do it right! I was very disappointed with the meal. I read all the reviews and no one said anything like this about the food. (I wish I had ordered the Chicken Fried Steak - It was the only one the ladies in the powder room didn't complain about!) I don't know if this was a new chef or what but someone there needs to oversee and TASTE what they are putting out! Oh, and if you are going to do a BACON theme in honor of the BACON Brothers... Put some dang BACON in there!!! Last but not least. It was a tad bit annoying that the staff kept standing in the way during the encore as they were scrambling to close out tickets.

Have been bringing my wife here for years. She loves it.. Just a great place to take your loved one out for date night. Good music, great atmosphere, good food.

I rented this place for a Casino Night fundraiser and couldn't be more pleased! The management was so easy to work and the staff was excellent! The space was incredible and worked perfectly! I would highly recommend if you ever needed to rent a space for a work event, fundraiser, etc

This review comes from a slightly different perspective. We performed at the Dosey Doe last night for an audience of the kindest, most receptive, enjoyable crowd we've ever seen! The venue was absolutely incredible. Ray and Paul worked to make sure our lighting and sound were perfection. And we couldn't have asked for better management/handling/Momma Birding from Chelsa, who facilitated our visit and made sure we had absolutely everything we could need to make our performance top-shelf. Pardon my saying so, but we were STELLAR. And that is due in very large part to the staff at Dosey Doe. The food was outstanding, as well. I enjoyed the flounder with tomato risotto. Seasoned beautifully, the risotto was the star of the show. The flounder was flaky and tender, light and delicious. And hey! Don't miss the COFFEE! I'm a caffeine connoisseur and the fact that they bring their beans in from all over the world to roast right here at home? Absolutely crackin' cuppa! And I drink a LOTTA coffee! Can't tell you how much we enjoyed the show and audiences in The Woodlands. Thank you so much for an incredible evening!

I love Dosey Doe last time I went saw a female comedian and she was fantastic, was a great night out . Problem is that it seems like all they ever have now are " wannabe country western singers ". We used to go here a lot in the past saw several different singers and the comedian but it's all just one type show now days.. REALLY wish they would vary the performers, some smooth jazz, cover bands ,some comedy shows etc...

Wow, what super fun place! I didn't know this place existed until we decided to go to an ABBA tribute band show. Very interesting and unique history with this building! It was dismantled, moved, and reconstructed! I was shocked at how good the acoustics were! I thought it was an excellent venue. There are several types of seating. Long tables and smaller high top tables on the first floor, then there is an upstairs also. I wasn't able to check that out, but I would make it a point to see it if I go again. Most of the parking is in the back, and while it wasn't obvious at first, it was easy to find. It was maybe 50 yards to the door from where we parked. The waitstaff all were super happy to please. Those people work hard- They were busy making sure everything was taken care of! The food ranged average to excellent. We certainly cleaned our plates! I got the chicken fried steak and my wife got shrimp and grits. Not a giant portion for the shrimp (which we expected) and so we shared plates. The desserts were really good! I am not a chocolate fan, but I tried the brownie dessert and it was quite good! The coffee and drinks were great! There were a number of interesting coffees. The one I chose was fresh and delicious. It was pretty noisy with conversation, so this is not a place for a quiet meal, but rather for a fun time at a cool venue. I suspect it might be a little quieter upstairs. Overall I we loved this place and will go back when we get the chance!

The food is very good, the wait staff was spot-on with the service, and the atmosphere is excellent. You will be hard pressed to find a spot where the music isn`t good.

Been here for concerts twice in the past few months. Incredible music venue. Food and drink prices/quality/service were excellent. Easy access and parking right off hwy 45. You get to select your seats when purchasing tickets. Well organized and run facility. One of a handful of excellent small music venues in the area. If you enjoy a night of live music, good food and drinks, this is the place. It's definitely a gem!!

Food was good , but the service was excellent!!! Our waitress Shelby was so sweet and attentive!! We will definitely be back and ask for her!!!

With it being so close to us we really want to enjoy this place. I think we've been to about 8 shows here. About the only positives are that the sound is pretty good and it's a nice intimate venue to see an artist you enjoy. Other than that the food is bland to bad and very over priced, the drinks are probably the most watered down cocktails I've ever had, the seating is very uncomfortable, the servers are stretched to thin such that it's pretty bad service, and management seems to to care one bit at all.

I like this event concept, we went to see Crystal Gayle and the space doesn't have a bad seat in the house. However the tables are crammed so close together and one person has to get up so the other person can maneuver to get out. Way to many people in there at once all squished up. My food was good, I had the shrimp and grits and it was tasty! The salad before the meal was bland with barely and dressing at all. Someone next to me had the gumbo and it looked very unappealing. One of the servers was trying to maneuver down the isle to bring everyone their water and spilled an entire ice water glass down my back I was soaking wet on one entire side down to my undies! This other guy came over and I asked for some real towels as the paper towels they gave were not working and were actually shredding all over my black outfit. The guy said "what happened" kind of accusatory to me! He looked up and said did someone spill from up there???!! I said no this guy behind you had an accident and spilled the ice water on me. He didn't say anything else just sauntered off, not even an apology! He came back about 30 min later and said oh i am sorry I misunderstood what happened! The poor server who did it was humiliated and I told him I understood it was an accident. I felt bad for him really. The server offered to buy me a glass of wine but I told him no. As he was doing the water as a favor to our server. No other offer was made for anything, not even a 10% discount on the bill which was shady if you ask me. As close together as we were all sitting it was very unsettling. I don't go back there until covid is gone, if ever. If you want to see your fav musician up close and personal, and the claustrophobic seating doesn't bother you then this place might be your jam, wasn't mine.

We go for the music, and again Mr. Tab Benoit did not disappoint. The choices for meals were outstanding with the Smoked pork belly and grits being my choice. The beer is alway cold and the staff is always super nice. Would give more stars if more were available. I just love the entire atmosphere here.

We are here for the first time tonight. We love it! The food is great, atmosphere is amazing. Definitely try it.

Great show.Highwaymen.service was friendly. Food, average..I had food poisoning that lasted days as the waitress gave me some dirty water from the bar.She thought it was my lemonade.Headaches and stomach pain for days..Sort of ruined the experience. Then never received a response from the restaurant. Bad business

Did we get over charged?? We have to call. Rippingtons show on 6/22/19 was fabulous! We love this venue and they get some headliners! To see Russ Freeman in a small setting is priceless. Ok well maybe not because we aren't rich. So we pay a $50 deposit on each ticket - Tickets were $138 each and it includes dinner (dinner/concert tix). This is what I hate though. You have to eat there and then you never really know how much the concert alone was. Also their seating is . . . sit tightly together in these long tables! Again this is not my thing. But to see the Rippingtons we go anyway - every year. The Food is more on the comfort/southern style which tastes good if you are up for that (5 entrees only - nothing fancy). My husband orders vegetarian plate as he doesn't eat meat. They should give you money back for that entree. You'll see our receipt attached. $88 plus 1 glass of wine (not so big - order the bottle next time). Our bill from the waiter was $200. So how much do we tip (we don't know the price of the meal) . . . We give the guy $30 (way too much!!). Our grand total (plus the $50 deposit x2) comes to $330!!! This is so pricey for a venue with subpar food and to sit like a sardine! Sorry What I think each time I'm there - 'why can't they just sell seats at the tables on the upper level for just concert goers'? Make it a two drink minimum and offer appetizers to order - keep the food/drink tab separate than the concert ticket. For those that want the full meal they sit on the main floor. I would LOVE that. They actually may get sold out evening - get more people in the upper area. Then I'd give this place a 5 star!!

Total lack of respect for customers. Although they email you tickets for a concert (Marshall Tucker Band- 4 premium tickets $800.00+) they don't email you when a concert is canceled. Don't do as we did- drive through rush hour for 1 1/2 hours only to arrive and read a note on the door. Take my advice and Dosey Doe your rear end away from this business. ** update: I appreciate the owner reaching out acknowledging our frustration. I did not receive an email ( may of gone to spam) or a voicemail. The other concert goers I met in the parking lot - obviously- were not aware of the cancellation. Thank you.

Dinner was amazing and service was exceptional. The show couldn't have been any better. We will definitely be going back

This is a great live music venue in the Woodlands area. Most music performance tickets come with a full three course meal. The food is very good. I only gave four stars because the waitress overcharged us on the bill. Check your bill for extra items not ordered. Extra drinks were charged. Asked for "house" vodka, charged for Tito's. Iced tea included with meal, charged $6 on bill. Patron should not have to check bill with fine tooth comb to find numerous errors! Seems very deceptive. Shot of Baileys with coffee, charged $12. Again, check your bill.

Fun! Fun! Fun! Yummy food, good service and great atmosphere. Love it!!! Check it out!

Entertaining murder mystery. Fun times spent with colleagues. Food was great, service was great, would highly recommend.

For an entertainment experience - WOW. Coolest Concept! Acoustically, Amazing. Thoughtful & Robust Line Up/Schedule. Friendly Staff. A Hidden Treasure! While a Restaurant, and housed in a truly an historic museum, this is a crazy cool and unique entertainment venue that knows how to create a memorable experience - from start to finish. Went to see The Marshall Tucker Band last night. Our table was upstairs behind the tables against the railing and we had absolutely NO view of the band whatsoever! Which was very disappointing. There were six of us and our bill was over $300 For that kind of money, we should have had a better view. Or just a view at all!! So disappointed! Also, The building was so hot upstairs it was miserable! We were sweating. No fans. Just Too hot up there

UPDATE: After calling the manager, I was told I could get a refund. I'll try to go back when I can call ahead and reserve seats, apparently this is the way to have a good experience. This says a lot bc I don't usually ever write a bad review but... I walked in, couldn't find a table. Went upstairs and sat down for literally 10 min a very wobbly tall chair and decided to leave. Was charged $25 for being there with my son a TOTAL of 15 mins and didn't even get to hear one song, a guy was making a lengthy speech that I wasn't following on stage. VERY disappointing, was hoping to return but now I don't see a reason. Most expensive 15 mins of my life and no music.

I'm so done with this place.. we have been going here since day one. Music is always good and the only reason we continue to go. We will continue to see certain artist no matter what. Knowing they get paid to play is first on the list. As for service I can only blame myself for expecting anything but the the worst. I need to set any expectations at the VERY lowest level and be happily surprised if it comes anywhere close! I have spent my last dollar here on food and drinks.. It makes no difference if how much you pay to see a show $0-100+ dollars you can be completely overlooked. We left $20 on the table tonight thanking them for ignoring us!!! I know this won't hurt their business and it's not my intent.. but it sure will lessen any expectations and allow me to spend my hard earned dollar somewhere that that appreciates my business. I leave these comments regarding both locations.

BUYER BEWARE. It's a great venue but ticket policies are really restrictive. No refunds and you can't transfer tickets to anyone else. I had tickets for which I paid almost $200 deposit for. I contacted them more than 5 months prior to the date of the show and they wouldn't allow me to transfer the deposit to any other dates that I could attend. Such inflexibility will make me think long and hard about ever booking there again.

I saw Marc Broussard months ago and got the dinner package. Super unimpressed. So much you could do to not have the boring banquet food. Why not choices from your BBQ location? Cajun food? Crawfish? A decent grilled ribeye? The food was so bland I thought I was at a relatives 50th anniversary party or something. Come on guys... You can really have some fun here and make this place special and not another dumbass banquet hall with music.

last nights show was amazingly entertaining 4 men doing songs from 4 super groups. the food was also fantastic as usual. the crowd was the best respectful of any we've ever seen at any venue. these were mostly older gen who understands this is not the place to visit and socialize. the evening was one great experience. this place knows how to get it right.

I went to see a live music show - my first time at Dosey Doe! Great entertainment and friendly staff! Unique building and lots of fun antiques/history to look at. Chicken fried steak was awesome! Have dinner before the show starts... Got the smaller order of CFS. Looking forward to going back for again! Such a fun concept!

I've been to Dosey Doe Big Barn many times to enjoy some great live music at such a great venue . After tonight I would like to suggest everyone to watch the charges on their tab closely especially the TAX ! It makes me wonder how many times I have as well as every one else has been overcharged .

Not impressed. Online photos tell a different story. Arrived with the family for breakfast; found it difficult to locate parking. Had to find a spot next door in a tow away zone; risked it. We were immediately pushed onto the buffet. First appearance was okay; decor was nice as well. Turned down the $24 buffet per adult is a little steep for us; not about to eat $20+ of food. Ordered off the menu, but quickly found out they didnt have some items on the menu. Had some coffee, but it was watered down; no taste. Plate arrived; eggs lacked seasoning. On the up side, the staff were very friendly; great waitress. In summary; looking for breakfast on Sunday, this is a nice novalty establishment, but only if you have the $$. Doubt I'll be back to this location.

I've been here several times, for concerts and meals, always together. They always serve a three course meal, today that started with a Texas Citrus Salad. It was a new taste experience for me, but was good. I had the Ginormous Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans. The chicken fried steak is always hot, and doesn't seem over breaded. The mashed potatoes and string beans are delicious and fresh. The musical acts are always excellent.

Do you want a different experience? Check this place out. Casual dining and live music in a old barn. Food is good, the service friendly, and boy is it great to hear live music and dance again.

What a great home cooking kind of place. We loved the live music and the southern hospitality. Robert our host was such a great guy. He was very personable and made us feel at home. We will be bringing family back soon that's for sure.

First time here. We came to see Kraig Parker, an Elvis impersonator. Really cool place. We had the Chicken Fried Steak, it's huge ! The Food is good and the service is quick and friendly . Get here early , parking fills up fast .

I am going to give Dosey Doe a 2 for the entertainment aspect. The atmosphere was great, really neat old tobacco farm. The food was good. The only drawback to the venue was that they seated you so tightly that you were very close to the person next to you, ok if you knew your neighbor but not so much if you were sitting next to a stranger. The entertainment not so good. Darby Ledbetter performed and his music was ok, however we felt like intruders at a family gathering. His banter felt like you were at a personal party with many inside jokes that were very hard to understand if you were an 'outsider'. We left early. Very disappointing.

We went to see Ward David at this location and we're not disappointed. Every seat in the place is a great view and the food portions were plentiful.

Nice listening room. Seating diagram online is confusing if you haven't been there before but there doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the house! Sound was a little muddy. Food was mediocre. Service was slow but new girl hostess who sat us was the bomb and had more personality than any other employee in the place. Overall it falls short of the somewhat comical (and pretentious) self-description of DD being "one of the greatest listening rooms in the world. . ." and sadly, no "life-defining memories" were made here ~for us, anyway. :D. But the BAND is what we came for and they delivered like I knew they would. So, hey, it's all good!

Well high expectations going here the place looked great and had a music brunch offering. But we were seated and after 15 minutes of waiting for our server we decided to leave. It was not packed. On the way out one of the servers told us oh well! Very disappointed and still not be back, which is sad because it is a great looking place and they do have good coffee from our last visit but this is unacceptable.
