"‘Zui’ means ‘fresh and lively’, which applies equally well to both fare and chef. His cheerful personality and energetic expression reflect his passion for cuisine and service. As a restaurateur who studied in Kyoto, the chef makes Rishiri kombu and light-coloured dried bonito flakes the foundation on which he works. Each dish is restricted to just two ingredients, so each component leaves a strong impression. He is especially adept at pairing ingredients with their own dashi, as seen in the sea bream sashimi accompanied by a jellied broth of sea bream dashi." - Michelin Inspector

What a wonderful experience and omakase meal! The husband and wife team that run the restaurant are so friendly and warm - they wrote out the whole menu for us in English and used their translation app to help with communication. The meal was extremely varied and everything was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The ambiance is clean and inviting. The price is a bargain for the quality of food. They had multiple omakase course options depending on how much you want, and we found ourselves wishing we had ordered the maximum just to try the other dishes. But what we ate (9 courses) left us more than satisfied! Thank you for such a wonderful evening and experience!

Chef Satoshi Kuwano has created a perfectly balanced set course meal with a mix of fresh, boiled and grilled seafood, a meat course and soups. Always using the freshest ingredients, we were lucky to try anago (conger eel) in different forms, as well as kinki (short spine tornyhead), flounder, and the winter special buri (japanese amberjack). The chef goes above and beyond to explain the dishes and the ingredients used, and if english becomes a barrier, he takes the time and effort to use an iPad to translate or show pictures. This was hugely appreciated acknowledging how busy the kitchen can be. I would give this culinary experience more than 5 stars if possible.

Found on Michelin as bib gourmand and this was a 15 minute walk from our accomodation. As a couple we went to this restaurant and got the 8,800 yen set menu option and the food was amazing! 9 courses and finished with a rice mix of your choosing in case you werent full after the first 8 courses (we were). There are some tables and counter seats and we sat at the counter and the chef was right in front of us preparing our food, it was an amazing experience! Would definitely recommend coming here for a little more of a fine dining experience. I believe the set menus range from 6,600-12,000 yen and we got the middle option which was amazing! Staff were very friendly especially the chef who made time to take our drink orders and explain the dishes in english and with the help of some flash cards they had prepared.

"Exceptional Omakase Experience with Impeccable Hospitality" Despite being a bit late to our reservation, the staff greeted us with the utmost hospitality and warmth, setting the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The omakase menu was a true revelation, each course meticulously crafted to take us on a delectable journey of flavors. Every dish was prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail, allowing the fresh, high-quality ingredients to shine. The harmony of flavors in each plate was truly remarkable, showcasing the chef's deep understanding of balance and restraint. Paired with an expertly selected sake selection, the meal was an absolute delight for the senses. The chef's passion and dedication were evident in the way he introduced each dish, despite the language barrier. What truly sets this omakase experience apart, however, was the genuine hospitality displayed by the entire team. The chef's unwavering presence at the storefront, graciously seeing us off until we were out of sight, left a lasting impression and truly embodied the spirit of Osaka's culinary culture. I cannot recommend this omakase restaurant highly enough. If you're seeking a feast for the senses and an unparalleled hospitality experience, this is the destination you must visit.

年末にコースを予約して訪問。 広めの居酒屋割烹という趣の店内。 季節のものを中心に提供される。 味のバランスや量が適切で美味しかった。
