Ms Kim is the most kind hearted hostess, someone who genuinely enjoys feeding her customers and you can taste that in the food. Warm and inviting location, Highly recommend! You can also shop some genuine Japanese products while you wait for your order. All it’ll take is one bite to have you coming back for more. (I came two days in a row! lol)

Google
The food is delicious and the lady was SOOOO sweet! I took my mom and grandma on mother's day weekend for my mom's birthday and she was suggesting all kinds of goodies they keep on hand. Such a nice snack shop with a delicious hot food menu. Counters were a bit sticky, but everything was great.

Raquel G.

Google
Had lunch here with my younger sister. The food was fresh and delicious. On our way out we also bought some extra goodies. They have a neat assortment of Ramen as well as snacks. We will be back again!

Jason W.

Google
We go here for the Potstickers. They are amazing. It’s a small Korean restaurant that doubles as a store for Asian products. The owners are very friendly and food is great. Always hits the spot.

Sarah B.

Google
The Beef Bulgogi was absolutely amazing, it was so flavorful. The person who was working there was so nice and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back!

Google
The food was amazing and so was the service. The lady working seems to be doing everything alone so just be patient if you go. I called ahead and my order was ready in about 30 minutes. I ordered the kimchi jjigae and it was delicious. Definitely perfect for a cold rainy day. She also included some little fried vegetable pancakes and kimchi on the side. Well worth the money for the portions!! Can’t wait to go back and try more food :)

Thuy A.

Google
Wow! I ordered the bibimbap with Spicy Pork (not actually spicy). The meat was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The veggies were super fresh. The price was just right for the portion. Will be returning! Also, I LOVE that they have an actual water filter that you can help yourself to. No tap water.

Google
I just can’t say one bad thing about this place or the owner Kim. Every time I come in, the food is cooked fresh with love in every bit. The pork pot stickers (dumplings) are the BEST thing on the menu. The sticky rice pairs wonderfully and don’t forget the yellow radishes!!! I’ve never seen a selection so wide when it comes to foreign foods and candies!! I live over an hour away and I stop by here every time I get the chance !! Small businesses deserve the most love and this place absolutely is at the top of my list. Tell Kim Nancy sent you <3 I promise you won’t regret it. Highly highly recommended

Yelp
Small Cafe with authentic Korean Food made from the Heart and with love from both mother and daughter Most menu items made from scratch. My dinner companion and I both really enjoyed the bulgogi. I had the combination plate that was served aside kimchi, rice , 2 shrimp Tempura and potstickers and a cream cheese egg roll I can't wait to come back and try other menu items like their galbi They are closed Sunday so get your fix any other day Small grocery items also for sale with with snacks

Yelp
Food made with love! It was our first visit so we were unsure of what to order, but figured it out quickly. They were nice and accommodating to my picky 4 year old. We will definitely be returning when we are in the area.

Yelp
For those of you who know what good Korean food is like, this is pretty good tasting Korean food. The store is in a pretty good strip center, but decor needs a little work. My wife is Korean and she says this is a good as anything in Houston. For Conroe, this is pretty good tasting food. Their lunch boxes are pretty good, bibimbop is is very tasty, and the bulgogi is very flavorful and the quantity is generous. The problem with these guys is it takes forever to get served when you just walk in. We have been there many times and after we ordered, they were busy cooking away on food and someone walks in and gets their food right away (apparently pre-ordered, a regular or well known to them). So if you are willing to wait 30 minutes for your food, you are good. My 1 star review is primarily because of their slowness and the lady owner that works there seems to always be a sour puss and not friendly. The straw that broke the camel's back was when she was rude to me on the phone (I was trying to place an order for pickup in late morning). She kept hanging up on me when I called and I thought it was a mistake. After a couple of hangups, she finally said "Don't call back!" I don't go back and this was years ago - still remember it as one of the worst customer service experiences ever. My wife for years said, "let's go back - maybe she's sorry or is going through something bad." But I don't forget those experiences very easily, so we went elsewhere. She said she went back and the owner lady acted like she didn't even know her. She stopped going too.

Yelp
Sweetest lady she makes every by hand even though it's hard. Family owned and the food is high quality. Homemade was is SO good.

Yelp
So good! The beef bulgogi was to notch! Great dinner and portions were a good size. Food was out quick and the kimchi and pickled radishes were so good!
google avatar

Yelp
Was craving kimchi chigae and they had the yummiest kimchi soup Ive ever had. It's a very small mom and pop little shop with limited items so expect to wait a little longer depending on your order (potstickers or mandoo was out in less than 10 mins but the soup took a little longer) but that's because they do it all from scratch. They advised me that if I wanted something off menu like sundubue-jjigae id have to call in earlier or even the day before. I most definitely will the next time because I know they'll do it right. Everytime I find myself this far up north ill make sure to give them a visit! Will try the galbi and bibimbap next! Just removed one star for ambiance but other than that they were awesome!

Yelp
What an amazing experience! Literally felt like we walked into someone's house for dinner. The service was personable..the food..brought me back to the hawker markets of Singapore..simply incredible!!! Please please support this small business!!
google avatar

Alexius R.

Yelp
Dosirak is a hit with my family. The food is delicious and the ambience is cozy and personable. There's always a different snack for us to try when we go. We love getting the Kimbap and cupbap but recently tried the kimchi-jjigae since it's cold out and it's 10/10. The owner Ms.Kim is a gem and knows whats shes doing!
google avatar

Mary M.

Yelp
Extremely rude owner. Yelled at my husband about ordering on separate pieces of paper. Place was disgusting and dirty. Walked right back out the door. No thanks.

Christie C.

Yelp
The food is delicious. I've gone twice. I got bibimbap on one visit and japchae on another. The owner is very nice and prepares your meal when you order. The restaurant is very clean. I live in Houston but when I am near Conroe, this is my spot. If you want true Korean .. highly recommend.
google avatar

Linda P.

Yelp
Delicious authentic Korean food. Small place but excellent food. Owner is great and generous

David G.

Yelp
The best restaurant in Conroe maybe Houston! Cannot stress enough how good the food is and how kind and thoughtful the owner is. Everything is fresh and handmade and so tasty! Please support this local business! (I would have taken a picture of the food but I already ate it! I couldn't wait!)
google avatar

Denise W.

Yelp
We ordered beef Bulgogi, and it was so overwhelmingly sweet that it was hard to eat. Thankfully, the portion was small. If we were to judge based on the portion size, this is definitely the most expensive Korean restaurant we've ever been to (the side dishes were just a small plate of kimchi). Table was sticky and we had to wipe it ourselves. Definitely won't be returning to this store.
google avatar

Seann P.

Yelp
Beef Bulgogi Plate WAS OUTSTANDING!!! Ms Kim is the best she was just awesome, she brought the food out to us after preparing it and you can tell she takes pride in all she does. Simple store - restaurant and simply delicious!! I'm coming back for more!!!
google avatar

Rebekah M.

Yelp
We got the Dosirak plate and an extra order of mondoo and it was fast and fresh. The owner was so sweet in helping us order and offering things that were not on the menu as well. We purchased some food items from the prepackaged section and she was giving us tips on what to add and how to prepare it. Overall, I would say this is a nicer hole-in-the-wall kind of place and authentic feeling service. We plan on going back!

Uhhh g.

Yelp
Best Korean food we've ever had! Loved the decorations and snacks. Thank you!! Will be coming back soon

Tristan ..

Yelp
The owner is so nice, always a good experience at Dosirak. The food is very soulful and I've always had good experiences. People don't understand that korean food tends to be sweet even in Korea. That's what makes it korean food sometimes. The atmosphere is very home-y and always clean! Again props to the owner because she does everything mostly alone and thats hard for people to do these days!
google avatar

Yelp
I love, love, love this restaurant! Their kimchi is the best. The owner and her daughter are so kind and welcoming. If I could afford to eat there every week, I would! To the owner: You are amazing! Thank you for doing such amazing work and cooking such phenomenal food! Also fun to know, they have authentic Korean products you can purchase (I watch k-dramas and had seen this really cool pump soap. Went to this place and they had it! I purchased it immediately. It is amazing! ) I love going here! Keep up the amazing work!

Yelp
Very lovely mom and pop Korean restaurant! From a first impression, this restaurant is unassuming. Food is served on plastic trays. There's styrofoam water cups. Very simple and straightforward decor. But the food and owners were phenomenal! The food is comforting and tasty. You can tell that it was homemade with care. The ambiance was very inviting, warm, and personable. And I think that is what keeps customers coming back. The Dosirak lunchbox was a great deal! You get a combo of meat, rice, kimchi, tempura, dumplings, and the side dish of the day. The spicy pork was to die for!! Def my favorite! And the portions were very filling. The side of the day we received was a cheesecake eggroll- very interesting but good! We also got an order of dumplings, which were 10 for $8. Amazing deal and very tasty! There's also a mini grocery store inside the restaurant. There's a small selection of Asian snacks, such as ramen, chips, cookies, ice cream. I'm so glad I stumbled across this gem!

Yelp
this place is so yummy, service is quick, and it is a great homey ambiance. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Why 5 stars? Because of delicious food and friendly people. --- --- --- I've wanted to stop by here for a while now and I'm glad I finally did. I was hungry enough to order both the bulgogi and the galbi, but unfortunately they were out of the galbi so I just settled for the former. It was very light and very delicious. In addition, the woman who took my order could not have been more friendly. I bought some Hi-Chew's for the wife and she offered to let me have a second one for free because she thought I should try another flavor. It probably only would have cost me another dollar or two, but she couldn't have been more nice about it. That gesture was enough to push this up from a 4-star to a 5-star for me.

Yelp
We were passing thru Conroe and searched for a Korean spot and this place came up. Cute little place that includes grocery items which I thought was cool. The owner was there alone but served us well. I enjoyed the Dosirak Box while my brother had bulgogi. Kimchee is really good as were the pickles. The lady took a shine to my niece and gave her a mango smoothie. Such a pleasant homey casual spot!

Nicole H.

Yelp
The potstickers were absolutely fabulous. Would highly recommend as it's evident that Dosirak is a family owned business with it radiating through the ambiance. The service was wonderful, the lady who served us was super sweet. 10/10

Yelp
Best kimchi ever. Great authentic Korean food. Owner is very kind and remembers customers who haven't visited in a while. Place takeaway order at least 30 minutes before pick-up. They are usually very busy (especially during lunch hours), and it's sometimes just the owner working the kitchen.
google avatar

Madi M.

Yelp
Food is delicious and I wish I could give 5 stars. Things to consider are ambiance and cleanliness. This place definitely needs deep cleaning. Water machine is so dirty that I was thinking how safe is to even drink that water. She asked to use a New cup, but would it even matter? Floor and walls are dirty and that smell of grease inside. Service was good, I would not expect anything better though. Would I recommend? Yes, good food. Would I come back? Probably not.

Seth D.

Yelp
Amazing food, very friendly staff, overall I could not reccomend you try them enough!
google avatar

Paul C.

Yelp
Amazing. Even the kids cleaned their plates. Friendly staff. Had the beef bugolgi box and spice pork box with pot stickers. Will be back!
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
Loved this place! So authentic. Mom and pop type restaurant providing great Korean food to the people of Conroe and the surrounding area. Can't wait to go again.

Henry T.

Yelp
Amazing food me and my family are regulars. Bulgogi is to die for some of the best food I've ever had. Kimchi is very good and has the right flavor. Service is excellent. If you sit down you'll have your food in about 20 minutes. If you order take out it'll be about 30-40 minutes until pickup. Ambiance is great with plenty of traditional Korean snacks to snack on while waiting.
google avatar

Rachele F.

Yelp
Absolutely the best Korean food I have ever had!!! I was greeted promptly and the food was AMAZING! This is a family owned and operated establishment- all of their food is made from scratch! They have fun drinks and snacks that you can buy as well. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back soon!!!

Yelp
I called one evening and placed an order so large, I later realized it seemed like a catering order. From the pork and kimchi soup, to the chicken japchae bap, to the rice cake soup, to the mondoo soup, to the galbi with rice, this order took out a chunk of the menu. When I went with my family to pick it up, I quickly felt guilty--there are only two women running the entire operation, a young woman managing the register and interacting with the people, and the older lady preparing all of the food--from scratch and made to order. This chef might as well have been a magician, because she worked with such deftness and speed at her cookie station (which is in view of anyone in the restaurant and her cooking tastes so very good. The kimchi soup was exceptional and a spicy food-lover's dream! Yet the place is worth going to even for the packaged and jarred Korean food items they sell. Looking forward to my next visit. Give Dosirak a try!

Yelp
Honest little korean cafe, mom and pop, plastic plates and cutlery, but very authentic and a good value. not date material, but fine for a meal on the go. take out or eat in.
google avatar

Kate K.

Yelp
Tried this place after a little shopping on 336 and did not disappoint. We ordered 3 dishes (one was a soup) and the lady behind the counter who I am assuming is the owner told us she cooks big portions and we ordered too much! We took the advice and canceled a dish and got soup and the bulgogi. Both were so flavorful. Thankful for some authentic Korean in the area!
google avatar

Xander S.

Yelp
This will blow your socks off I promise you that. I had to resuscitate my mouth after it was blessed with the flavor of authentic Korean cuisine. The family that runs this are the GOATs so don't bother looking elsewhere when you are craving the sweet taste of the Republic of Korea.
google avatar

Yelp
Not impressed. Came here Friday evening for dinner because I had a taste for Korean BBQ and this spot was the closest. Unfortunately, when I lived in IL, I had a really good Korean BBQ spot that I loved not too far from where I lived so it was only fair that I compare my experiences. Called in my order, Beef Bulgogi for my wife and Spicy Pork for myself with an order of pot stickers to spilt. When I picked up my order, the bag felt pretty light to my surprise. Got home, opened up the dinner plates and just as it felt, the portion sizes were incredibly small. Most restaurants of this caliber that I've been to usually give you enough to fill you up that evening and maybe some to have leftover for lunch tomorrow. Not here! I BARELY had enough to fill up on. Taste wise, the Spicy Pork was good. Not the best I've had but it was good enough for a quick dinner. The pot stickers were borderline terrible. They were cold, gummy and almost completely devoid of flavor. I guess next time I'm in the mood for Korean BBQ, I'll have to just go ahead & travel a little further.

Yelp
Food was SUPER YUMMMYYYY!!!!! My bf took me there for the first time tonight and I'm in love!!!! 10/10! Amazing service , awesome vibes and food is superb ! Definitely returning :)
google avatar

Yelp
If you want an authentic Korean experience then come to this place! We walked in and the person behind the counter started talking to us and then yelling at us. It sounded like yelling but did not feel like yelling. Finally, the lady said, "Ask the white girl there". I turned and asked, "Do you work here?" She said "No, but she wants to know that she'll be a few minutes and could you seat yourselves" It was perfect. My buddy and I both ordered the Bento Lunch boxes and were thrilled. I don't even know what everything was in the box but it was a lot, it was a variety and it tasted great. We were both impressed and got great service from the person we thought was yelling at us. She wasn't at all!!
google avatar

Steven M.

Yelp
Family owned and I support local business. Would be better if several of their dishes wasn't so sweet and could do less salt. I would definitely give it another star if it wasn't for that. Not much K food competition anywhere close. Prices have gone up since last I have been, but understandably due to Biden's economy.
google avatar

Judson S.

Yelp
Fabulous food and service! For the price you receive a good portion of great food. The lady who owns the place and cooks the food is Korean so you know it legit! The ambiance is eclectic but I am not there for an elite surroundings.
google avatar

Jason M.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the owner was very friendly. The restaurant was very clean and quiet as well.
google avatar

Brooks B.

Yelp
10 dumplings for 5 bucks? Hell yes. We used to order like 40 or 50 at work and send someone to pick it all up, they didn't last 5 minutes once they got through the door, absolutely delicious and the owners are the nicest people.

Johnny W.

Yelp
Yo, the food was so good and the customer service was great. I'll def be going back here!!!

Henry W.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch. The spicy pork was extremely flavorful. All the food was prepared quickly and it was delicious. The service was excellent. The woman taking orders and making food was very kind. If you enjoy Korean food I would absolutely recommend.
google avatar

Eunice R.

Yelp
Staff is super nice I ordered the Chicken Bulgogi. It comes with chicken with sautéed onions, white rice, and oi muchim. Also tried the Beef Bulgogi. Food was great, has plenty of flavor. Personally, I found the portion size to be plentiful. Remember, other parts of the world are not accustomed to eating a '5 servings worth' plate of food. I found their portion size to be sufficient for me ¯\_(シ)_/¯ Anyway, super chill place. They have a variety of snacks and drinks available. Also have some anime merch. They don't necessarily have menus, but they do have a menu near the front counter that has pictures. See pictures for reference
google avatar

Sheryl C.

Yelp
Very authentic Korean foods. I had japchae and my husband had beef bulgogi. We also love their potstickers and you can't beat $5 for 10 pieces! The owners are very nice, too! We will be back. We definitely recommend this place!
google avatar

Doug M.

Yelp
I called ahead and placed an order for pick up. I had approximately 10 orders (1 bill, not separate). I had not been there before so I was not sure of all of my options. However, she walked me through it on the phone and everything went OK. However, when I arrived, the food was not ready. I ended up having to wait an additional 20 minutes before the food was ready. It is definitely cooked fresh and only when you order it but not having it ready when I was on a time crunch threw a wrench in my plans. The food itself was good. It was my first time there so I was not sure what to expect. Since my customers had requested that food, they knew it was good and got what they expected. It was my first experience with this specific restaurant that serves Korean food. It turned out that I enjoyed it. They did have problems with the credit card machine and had to try and try and try and try and try to run my American Express card. It finally worked. Bottom line - Good food made to order. A little slow in having it prepared. Overall, I liked my food and will go back upon request.
google avatar

Philip P.

Yelp
The food quality and presentation was pretty subpar considering the great reviews. I ordered the chicken and beef bulgogi plates to-go. Chicken was over cooked and dry. The beef flavor was mild and really small in portion. I would not recommend this place to people trying out Korean food. Especially for the gouged prices here. If you can drive to Houston Spring Branch area, you can get much better quality Korean food there in K-town.
google avatar

Michael W.

Yelp
First time trying this restaurant. The store is pretty interesting. There are all kinds of authentic Asian foods and drinks there to choose from. The food itself was pretty good. I have been to other Korean food places and I have had better. The pot stickers were very good. The food was a bit over priced for the amount of food received. I am not sure if I would try this place again.

Yelp
This is a true hole in the wall, family run business. It has its complete own personality and it has so much to see. I got the spicy pork lunchbox that came with tempura, dumplings, rice and some cucumber kimchi. I got my girlfriend the chicken bimibap which had a sunny side egg and sliced cucumber with rice. It was delicious. I think it's a great meal I love love love Korean food and to see this cafe in this plaza I mean a gem. I'm more than happy to come back and try some more. they make it to order (the older lady is a sweetheart) so maybe try calling ahead and placing your order over the phone for to go? My wallet may be a little unhappy but my stomach sure is smiling!
