Dos Manos Pita Bar - Review - Gràcia - Barcelona - The Infatuation

"Dos Manos (which translates as two hands, referring to the only respectable way to eat a pita), is a kebab joint with a modern twist. On the surface, it’s a casual spot in Gràcia to grab a loaded flatbread on the fly, but there’s more than just shawarma. Most people order the Aliza filled with juicy beef and red cabbage, but the real star is the vegetarian sabij (or sabich), packed with fresh, herb and citrusy flavors: perfectly grilled eggplant, warm hard-boiled egg, roasted potato, salad, tahini, and loads of herbs (take the egg out to make it vegan). Add the starters, like grilled eggplant drizzled with date honey and tahini, or cauliflower topped with tomato, herbs, and lemon, and you’ll know why we call this Barcelona’s best bet for vegetarians." - Isabelle Kliger

A Hidden Gem in Gracia Neighborhood This charming tapas bar nestled in the beautiful tranquil Gracia Neighborhood is a must-visit. From the moment we stepped inside, we were captivated by the warm ambiance and the friendly, attentive service. The menu suggests a delightful array of tapas, showcasing the freshest, locally sourced ingredients, fused with some traditional eastern dishes. The chef clearly possesses a unique culinary vision, expertly combining traditional eastern flavors with innovative local twists. Every dish was a delicious, surprising set of textures and tastes. We particularly enjoyed the Chorizos, served with freshly made salad, the rich Greek pita and of course the crispy ‘Bravas’ served with a great sauce. We also really enjoyed the deserts. We had the Malabi and the Knafe which were both rich and delicious. Beyond the exceptional food, the bar itself is a testament to the warm and inviting atmosphere. The service went beyond, to make sure we enjoyed every dish. It's the perfect spot to savor delicious unique tapas while soaking in the local atmosphere. Value for money wise, it's highly recommended! We were lucky to have found a table, but it’s better to plan ahead because during the rush hours it’s fully booked, so make a reservation. Make sure to ask about the local wine, which was generously served. The place is perfect for sharing and is perfect to enjoy with friends or family.

Cool spot. Super friendly people. The food definitely is made with care and intention. The one thing I’d change is that the flavor is definitely lacking. To be particular, the hummus needed a bit more pepper or acid or something to give it a kick. The cauliflower could also have used a bit more acid. Things overall tasted good, we are happy, but hard to say things were “great.” We loved how large the portions were, and again, found the staff really nice. We’d come back for solid food and to try other things, hoping the flavor factor is higher across other dishes.

Food: Their pita was so fluffy! The Aliza pita was the star of the show as it was so juicy and had amazing flavors - I also enjoyed the crunchy onions on top! The Arayes pita was good but the fish needed more seasoning. Overall, one of the best pitas I’ve had and a go-to in Barcelona. Service: Service could be quite slow so be prepared to wait awhile if its busy. They typically only have one server and one to two people cooking as it’s a small place. Ambiance: They only have indoor seating and it’s a very small place. They can accommodate for bigger parties but you may feel a bit tight.

Amazing food quality. Wine leaves and the cauliflowers were so tasty. Very reasonable prices. Reservation needed.

Incredibly clean and fresh food! Loved the fish pita and salad that I ordered. All home made! Staff was so friendly and welcoming to a tourist from Las Vegas. Highly recommend on your walking trip to Park Guell and Guadi’s Home. Definitely a stop I will make while in Barcelona in the future.

My expectations for a pita-focused restaurant were just… “meh” but well, was I wrong! The Bonfire is absolutely perfectly executed, you must try it! Of course, any of the pitas are also fantastic, choose whatever sounds better to you!

We had the fish pita, lamb kofta pita and sweet potato fries. Genuinely could not fault anything, I’m so glad we were let in and allowed a seat at the bar. Wait staff were super friendly and warm, and the sangria and house beer on tap was 10/10. Very reasonably priced too. Highly recommend!
