Google
After trying the Dot & Dough Covina location. So we thought we’d try the MP location. They have cute seating outside and lots of yummy flavored to choose from. The milk and cereal and chocolate and chocolate cereal are hot and super tasty. The sugar and cinnamon sugar masacala also served warm. They are really light and fluffy and they melt in your mouth. The Oreo flavor donut is not very good. The hot Cheetos donut was pretty good it was very savory with lots of flavor. The blueberry and banana donut were ok. The location was clean and the employee was nice and helpful. Ten out of ten would totally recommend.

Google
Donut and mochi are two of my favorite desserts. Donut + mochi must be amazing, right? Well, I don't hate nor love them. They smell like donut and has mochi texture, but I'm confused with the combination. The mochi part isn't quite chewy and donut exterior could be a little crisper. I wonder if they will taste better when served warm.

Dot and Dough is not your regular donut shop. They specialize in filled and mochi donuts and what I think really sets them apart is their flavors. Alongside your favorite classic flavors like vanilla and chocolate, Dot and Dough has a huge variety of innovative flavors such as Taiwanese Brown Sugar, Thai Tea, Milk and Cereal. They are always expanding their menu and switching out seasonal flavors so you can always have something new to try! FOOD: This time I tried their Strawberry Pocky Mochi Donut, Crispy Cereal Chocolate Filled Donut, Vanilla Filled Donut Strawberry Pocky Mochi Donut - The mochi donuts here are a must try item as they have such an incredible texture. The flavor was also perfectly sweet and fruity. I’d definitely recommend trying this flavor while it is still on the menu as it is seasonal. Crispy Cereal Chocolate Filled Donut - For any chocolate lovers out there, this donut is definitely for you. This donut was definitely a flavor sensation. The crispy cereal on top of the donut provided an amazing texture contrast to the soft, fluffy donut and the rich, silky chocolate cream filling. Vanilla Filled Donut - You cannot go wrong with any of Dot and Dough’s classic filled donuts. Covered in sugar and generously filled with cream, these donuts are an absolute delight. This donut is so simple and well balanced. I loved the vanilla flavor because it was not too heavy or sweet. This would definitely be my go to if I am in the mood for a lighter dessert. My personal favorite is either the Crispy Cereal Chocolate filled donut or the vanilla because Dot and Dough is one of the only places I know in SGV that sell this kind of filled donut and they do them so incredibly well. If you are interested in their mochi donuts I recommend going early as they could potentially sell out, especially with popular seasonal flavors like the Strawberry pocky. LOCATION: The store itself is a bit small but very cute. It is perfectly decorated and there is a display window filled with replica donuts so you can see what the donuts look like before you order. There are some cute tables outside the store for you to sit and enjoy your donuts. If you are lucky you might be able to find parking on the street right in front of the store but if not there is a parking structure in the back with plenty of parking. The plaza it is located in also has tons of great food nearby so you could have a meal and go to Dot and Dough for dessert or just walk around the area and enjoy the ambiance. I was craving malasadas from Hawaii so we decided to see if anyone sold some. We found this place. I was bummed that they didn't have the filled malasadas so we got the plain ones which were delicious. Also got some donuts for the kids. The loved the fruity pebbles. It a self kiosk so you get to order it yourself. The staff is there to help if you have any questions. I will have to go back to try the filled malasadas.

Google
Filled donuts are delicious but soooo messy! The mochi donut was a little too greasy for me. The service is a little weird since it's a one man shop, you order on the kiosk and then someone comes out with your order when it's ready. It's fine but just a little odd. Came on a Saturday morning around 9am and only one other person in line so was quick.

Google
We had the matcha, cookies and cream, chocolate, and cinnamon (no filling). Stuff is very similar to the malasadas in Hawaii (of course you can't really compare because..well.. you can never be Leonard's) With that being said, it was pretty good! I liked that it wasn't crazy sweet. The regular filling ones are $2.50 each, no filling is $1.50, and the special ones like the cookies and cream are $3. The inside of the cookies and cream is oreo mixed with the vanilla cream they have. I would definitely come again!

Google
$1.50-$3 donuts, are you outta your mind?! Cheap mochi donuts! I enjoyed the matcha filled one with fruit loops. Staff was so sweet. It wasn't busy so she allowed me to call in my order, pay outside the door and pick up outside of the front door. For anyone with extremely allergies, I don't recommend this place as they aren't absolutely sure.

Yelp
I recently visited Dot and Dough in Monterey Park and had a fantastic experience! The place has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a quick treat or a relaxed hangout. The donuts were absolutely delicious - fresh, soft, and with a perfect balance of sweetness. They have a great variety of flavors, from classic options to unique and creative ones. I tried the matcha and the cookies and cream donuts, and both were amazing! The staff was friendly and efficient, making the visit even more enjoyable. The prices were reasonable for the quality and taste of the donuts. Overall, Dot and Dough is a gem in Monterey Park. If you're a donut lover or just looking for a delightful snack, this place is a must-visit. 5 stars!

Yelp
This is my first time trying this place and also first time using TooGoodToGo app. I've always seen this place been never was into the mochi donut trend. I'm glad that I was able to try this place with the suggestion from the app. Food With the surprise bag, I wasn't able to pick and choose what I wanted but I was glad to try flavors that I would normally would not. I only had tried the pink malassada and was surprised with the texture with the crisp exterior and softness inside. It was not too sweet, which is my preference. With this single donut alone, I was already looking forward to trying new flavors in the future. The rest of the donuts were equally as good. Service Since it was around 8pm on a weekday, it was empty and we were helped right away! I was probably in and out of the store within 5 minutes. Ambiance The store was cute and quaint. Mainly order and go type of setting. Parking Never seen this parking filled during the handful of times I've been here. Some of the spots are relatively small and require head in parking only.

Yelp
This Dot & Dough location can be found right next door to Aliya Land with street parking and also a parking lot in the back. This Dot & Dough location took over the old Beard Papa. I came in here with my husband last Saturday, around 1:25 pm. No one was at the register/ behind the counter. We just waited there a little over 5 minutes until an employee came out from the curtain (which I assume the kitchen is behind there). He did not greet us and just looked at us. I ended up purchasing: Mochi Donuts ($2.95 prior to tax): Classic Sugar, Strawberry Pocky, Matcha White Chocolate Malasadas ($2.50 each, prior to tax) : Classic Sugar, Chocolate w/ Corn Flakes, Strawberry ------------------------- (Total= $18.03 after tax) My mom liked the strawberry pocky mochi donut and appreciated that it wasn't too sweet. My husband liked the classic sugar. I didn't think the white chocolate was good, it seemed a bit bland. We shared the malasadas with our friend but they kind of tasted a bit stale (but we did eat these 2 days after these were purchased). Service probably could have been a little better (if the employee helping us could have just put in a little bit more effort, that would have been nice). I can see why the overall rating of this location is 3.5 stars. I most likely won't be coming back anytime soon.

Yelp
I ordered on the app Too Good To Go where you can buy food at a discount. You basically buy food at discount that would normally be thrown away or whatever. I bought the surprise bag from Dot and Dough for $5.99 plus tax with a normal price tag of $18. It came with 6 donuts. Perhaps, it's not fair to judge them on donuts that aren't fresh, but they shouldn't sell a subpar product nevertheless. 4 of the donuts tasted stale. They were too hard and the other two were more edible. I pay like six dollars for two donuts that weren't fresh, but edible. It was not a good experience and waste of money. I won't be coming here for donuts anytime soon. However, I will say that the sign is pretty cool.

Yelp
This review is not the mochi donuts, but for an malasada. Online says it's a "Hand crafted Portuguese fried dough filled with homemade matcha custard." They fry it when ordered so it was fresh, hot and delicious. I went for matcha flavor filling, heard the Taiwanese brown sugar filling was the best.
google avatar

Yelp
Custard malasada with mochi 3/5 - I think I would have preferred the regular custard maladada bc the mocha was not as soft as I expected. It was more chewy in my opinion. Decided to give this place another try but maybe these donuts just aren't for me.
google avatar

Yelp
I had them when they first opened and I thought the mochi donuts were pretty good but I recently went on Tuesday with my son and tbh I feel like it went downhill. When you walk in it's so humid inside and there's not one person in sight. You have to self order which is becoming more common probably why nobody is visible lol the donuts were $2.96 each; we got the Oreo, strawberry pocky, and matcha. They did not taste fresh it left a weird feeling under the roof of my mouth like that smooth but weird texture..? Not sure how else to explain but anyways I probably won't be back! Sorry /:

Yelp
Yikes! This location is by far the worst I have ever been to. Disappointed in what and how the donuts came about. The donuts were thrown in brown paper bags. The paper bags were soaked up in oil. WTH! I am a fan of mochinut and tried several mochi donut establishments. Mochinut is cute and fun to eat-- soft and a bit chewy..the mochi donuts that I got were bad--ugly, oily, and smooshed. I feel robbed of my money. I'm not even gonna bother coming back to complain... The service was slow and mid--def not returning!

Yelp
Wait Time: It took about 15mins to get our order, I walked in and placed my order on their screen. Service: When I walked in there wasn't anyone in the front, it looked like there was only one guy in the back working. When I was placing my order I did notice that there were some in the display case but not on the iPad to order. I asked the employee and he said if it isn't on the iPad you can't order it even though it is being displayed. After placing my order I came back to get it and rang the bell to ask if it was ready, the guy in the back yelled at us and said "it's not ready" it was off putting but I do have to mention it seemed like he was the only one there. Food: I ordered both the Malasadas and Mochi Donut. Malasada: I ordered Ube, Mochi, and Brown Sugar. I liked the outside more than the filling. My favorite was the ube because it wasn't too sweet but the filling didn't really have a strong ube flavor. My least favorite was the Mochi Malasada because it was very oily. Mochi Donut: I ordered Matcha, Taro, Strawberry Pocky, Oreo, and Salted Egg Yolk. In my opinion their mochi donuts are a hit or miss. Sometimes I go in and they taste fresh and other times you can tell it has been sitting there. My favorite was the oreo mochi donut.

Yelp
The shop is super small and only has an indoor bench to wait and limited outdoor seating. There are malasadas and donuts on display which was nice and staff was helpful answering any questions we had. There was no wait when I came around 8pm on a weekday and our donuts were made fresh in about 10-15min. 9/10 Ube Malasada $2.95 - ube flavor was solid in flavor, rich, and creamy! Definitely my favorite one. 8/10 Matcha Malasada $2.95 - matcha flavor was good but felt a slightly artificial. 7/10 Brown Sugar Malasada $2.95 - average in taste. It was same for creaminess and sweetness as the others, but the flavor was just ok. 7.5/10 Ube Mochi Malasada $3.35 - ube flavor was the same, but the main difference was the mochi dough. I think the regular malasada is much better in texture as it is crispy yet chewy, hot, and soft interior that mixes well with the cream. The mochi was way more chewy because it is more dense so also less filling. The ratio was off for filling to dough.

Yelp
Stopped by for a sweet treat last Sunday evening! dot & dough was recommended to us by a family member, so I decided to check it out while in the area. After ordering at the kiosk, the food came out pretty quickly, considering that they say 20 minutes for the malasadas. We were the only party in the shop then, so it took about half the time. The malasadas had a lot of filling, which I appreciated. But I think the dough was sacrificed in the process because it broke apart very easily as I took it out of the box. They were pretty sweet and kind of heavy compared to the mochi donuts, but still good treats. The Taiwanese brown sugar filling was my fave from the selection; it reminded me of custard! Their mochi donuts were denser than the ones I've tried from other places. Although the flavor was muted for me, the matcha mochi donut was my fave from the selection. The white chocolate topping was also a nice touch.

Yelp
I ordered the 12 mini mochi bites with chocolate drizzle and they were delicious but not as chewy of a consistency as I had expected. Overall was still a wonderful dessert. There's plenty of parking in the back and the store is pretty self serve--the employee only comes out of the back to hand over receipts or the food.

Yelp
I think this place is deserving of its overall 3.5 star rating. As soon as I walked in I noticed there only seemed to be one worker who mostly works in the back while occasionally checking in with customers at the front. There is one kiosk for ordering, so they take card only. I waited about 20 minutes for 4 baked goods. It seems as they bake the goods by the order, so I was fine with the wait. The experience of ordering from here was fine overall. However, my main qualms with this place are with the baked goods themselves. The matcha goods did not have any matcha flavor. I think they must have used cheaper quality matcha because I could taste floral notes but the flavor was just not there. The salted egg donut was incredibly salty. I know it was salted egg but I could only taste salt and oil. I think all the goods overall had a really strong oil flavor to them. I wouldn't go here again. The food is very pretty and they do make it fresh but the flavors were not on par, especially for a bakery selling Asian flavors in a predominantly Asian area. This is one of those places that value aesthetics over taste.

Yelp
NOT MALASADAS & BOX IS NOT SEALED I ordered via UberEats and the box was not sealed. The malasadas were not made well. Usually the malasadas are usually a little bit more round. These were a little flat. After eating one, these malasadas are just tough donuts that look like malasadas. There was a wet spot in one of them and the dough was definitely not malasadas dough. What I received and paid for does not look like the photos on here. I called in to confirm whether or not they seal boxes when using food delivery services. Yohei confirmed that the boxes are not sealed when using a food delivery service. He also stated that what I received were malasadas. Nice guy who is wrong.

Yelp
I love their mochi donuts but it seems that the store has been abandoned according to a letter on the front door. The letter was posted on August 7th. The doors are completely covered up so there is likely no intention of reopening the store. There is no update on socials or any where else from the business owner either as everything says its still open. It is a shame.

Yelp
TOO GOOD TO GO order. Placed on 2/14/2024, first time here, and they gave me 6 donuts. The staff was friendly.

Yelp
Ok so there's a disclaimer to this review. We did purchase these donuts around 4/5pm on a Sunday evening so it could be very well the reason why we weren't not the biggest fans. So we had a mochi donut craving and saw that this place was the closest to us. We were looking at what was on display and ordered on the screen. We shortly found out by staff member that if it is not listed on the screen, it means it's sold out. Therefore we didn't get to try the salted egg yolk mochi donut. Bummed but it's ok. We got 2 mochi donuts and 2 malasadas. The mochi donuts seemed stale? When you think of mochi donuts there like a goodness to it and there wasn't for these. I didn't even want to finish mine because I was that disappointed. The Cheerios were stale too? Idk, again. Not sure if that's the way it always is or because it was the end of the night. The malasadas. It was our first time tasting these and the ube one was odd to me. It was almost as if I was eat jam. I was expecting more of a cream? The matcha one was good in terms of the creaminess but the donut itself was kind of mid. Don't think we'd come here again but if someone told me otherwise, that these are the best in the morning when shop opens then ok. Can't rate the place on staff either. Staff was nearly non-existent.

Yelp
PROS: I can't think of any. :( CONS: -I noticed a funky smell as soon as I walked inside. -There was water all over the floor (VERY dangerous as I could have slipped and fell). -The Asian guy (possibly in his 30's wearing glasses) working the evening of Monday 1/22/2024 had a flat/stale personality. Didn't even greet me when I walked in. No customer service skills whatsoever. -The taro mochi donut that I ordered was still hot when he threw it into a small brown paper bag, so of course all of the frosting got all over the bag. Look at the picture. Does it look yummy and appealing? HELL NAWWW! There was barely any frosting left on the donut itself!! They should have small boxes to place single donuts in. Not everyone orders multiple donuts at a time. So...did I even eat it? Nope. Besides no frosting, the donut was super oily. I ended up tossing it in the trash. Waste of money. Never again. I'm NEVER coming here again and I don't recommend this place to anyone. Stay away for your own good!! I believe D&D is a franchise and unfortunately, this specific location is giving it a very bad name! Owner: make some positive changes or else this place is going down!

Yelp
I was craving mochi donuts and this was right next to where we had dinner so I had to make room for dessert. I really liked that it was nice and warm when we received the donut, for this reason there was maybe a 10 minute wait but I think worth it to make sure it's fresh. I had the Salted Egg donut and the flavor was very strong with a fluffy airy texture. It's definitely on the saltier side so you need to make sure you get a good bite of both the sweet and salty, or drink water. My friends got cookies and cream which was a little heavier and more condensed than my salted egg partly due to the cookie crumb topping. They also tried the ube filled malasada which they said the filling was too runny so it was messy to eat.

Yelp
As a little bday present, my friends put in a GrubHub order for Dot & Dough donuts this past Sunday, 2/5/2023 at around 3:30 PM. The donuts came in this cute pink box with their logo on top and I was excited because it was my first time trying them out! They ordered the following Mochi Donut flavors, which were all priced at $3.15 along with their store descriptions. Blueberry --Deep fried mochi donut (chewy bouncy texture) coated with blueberry glaze, topped with fruit flavored rainbow sprinkles and chocolate sprinkles. -pretyy yummy. Although sprinkles are cute and give so much color, they were kinda hard so it hurt my teeth especially the star ones, which was sad cus their so adorable! Flavor was good though. Crispy Cereal --Deep fried mochi donut (chewy bouncy texture) coated with Belgium chocolate, topped with crispy cereal. -cereal were either chocolate frosted flakes or cocoa pebbles. They tasted stale so did not particularly enjoy this one Matcha White Chocolate --Deep fried mochi donut (chewy bouncy texture) coated with house made matcha glaze, topped with white chocolate flakes. - pretty tasty, white choc is kinda too sweet for my liking but the overall donut/matcha was just the right amount of sugar -really cute aesthetically, one look and you def know it's matcha haha Oreo Sugar --Deep fried mochi donut (chewy bouncy texture) coated with Belgium chocolate, topped with crispy Oreo cookie -pretty tasty. Not sure about the Belgium chocolate but you really can't go wrong with Oreos LOL. Def enjoyed this one with the hubs Rainbow Taro --Deep fried mochi donut (chewy bouncy texture) coated with house made taro glaze, topped with fruit flavored rainbow sprinkles. -Husband really likes this one. Taro flavor wasn't too strong but too light either. You can still tell it's taro and it was yummy. Again, the sprinkles hurt my teeth. Original Sugar --kinda boring but still good. Not one of my favorites because it was too simple but I mean it's not bad lol. Overall, we enjoyed the donuts. We didn't eat them until night time so they were a little dry but that was to be expected. Def yummy and would come back or order again!

Yelp
I choose masalada and mochi donuts which I prefer better than regular donuts. I would rate 4.5 star just because I love the mochi would be filled in more, more chewier the better. The store is cute when I just got in. Overall, I love to come back.

Yelp
Soooo disappointed. This place literally sucks. We ordered doughnuts, and they were tossed into a brown paper bag. The bag was soaked in oil, and because the doughnuts were hot, they all clumped together into a huge disgusting mess. To add on, the place doesn't look too clean. I literally feel like I was robbed for what I paid for. It is very unlikely that we will ever return.

Yelp
Was super excited to try this place because the photos look really good, but ended up pretty disappointed. [Ordering] Wasn't greeted when I arrived but there was only a self-order station at the register. [Drinks] They were out of coffee and americanos the day I was there so wasn't able to give this a review [Mochi Donuts] Ordered a box of assorted flavors and one of the donut flavors they gave me wasn't the one I ordered. If they were out of the flavor I understand, but I wish the guy that boxed my order came out to ask me what flavor I wanted instead of the one that was out. Or maybe he just got the flavor wrong, not sure. Donuts were crunchy and oily, not chewy like mochi donuts should normally be. Flavors were underwhelming and overall did not enjoy them. Might come back to try the malasadas some day, though!

Yelp
Parking: Easy garage parking in the back and plentiful street parking right in front of the plaza for a shorter walk. Food: Loved the variety of mochi donut flavors and filled mochi donuts. Probably the best mochi donuts I've had because they make them fresh to-order. Beware of the 20 min wait time! But it's worth it for those warm donuts, compared to other places that have had theirs sitting out for the day. Ambiance/Service: Super clean and bright interior. Only one bench for indoor seating, but a few tables and chairs outdoors that look more inviting if you're dining-in. You order at a large tablet and there is a display case right next to it for reference. Worker was attentive and kind!

Yelp
Got good worth of mouth from friends about this place but for me turned out to be disappointing. Ordered two mochi donuts, a malasada and a fresh bake double chocolate cookie. Mochi donuts - too chewy Malasada - too chewy and the filling was way too sweet for me Cookie - heavy, dry and light on chocolate
google avatar

Winnie L.

Yelp
Pro-tip: Don't have your heart set on any flavors because they could be out of it! Highlights: I really think the concepts are good having filled mochi donuts and mochi cream puffs - I've never really had either of those before. I think the filled mochi donut is better because it's softer and has a nice chew to it whereas the mochi cream puff is a bit harder and drier. I also enjoyed the flavors on the menu and wish I would have been able to try the ones I wanted. Lowlights: My friend said orders usually take twenty minutes because they are made fresh so hers was warm when she had it but when we went again, ours was ready in five minutes and just room temperature so she said it didn't taste as good. I was really disappointed that half the menu was sold out when we went in the afternoon.

Yelp
Was visiting my niece and her family in Alhambra and was craving some malasadas and since this shop was close by, we gave it a try! I've not found a place yet that compares to Leonard's in Waikiki, but this place is delicious! My kids loved them. Super fresh! Made to order. We got a half dozen of the cinnamon sugar and the classic sugar! What I love love is the crunch on the outside and the pillowy goodness on the inside! Super cool staff as well! Would definitely go back and order these and other items on the menu! Chef's kiss!

Yelp
I have to start off with a disclaimer: I am not a huge donut fan. I wanted something sweet and was in the area. I had heard about this spot but hadn't had a chance to try it so I figured today was a good time as any! You walk in and notice that the spot is small. You place your order by way of a screen/tablet that gives you lots of visuals. I wanted to try a malasada (since I never had). You pay and then put in your cell phone number for order updates. I was informed that my order would be ready in 15-20 minutes. It was ready in just over 10. The employee was super sweet. Came out warm and packaged in a cute, bright colored box. Overall taste was good, but I definitely don't feel like I'll need another one to live. Again, I am not a huge donut fan. If you are- give this place a shot. Lots of options.

Yelp
Finally got to try the bolo mochi bun! I tried the malasadas before and those were great! For the bolo mochi buns, I didn't feel it was worth it. It didn't taste like bolo baos and didn't have that texture I was looking for. As for the mochi portion, definitely was good.I would recommend the malasadas for sure! Taro: light taro flavor Chocolate: taste like chocolate pudding! Earl grey: strong, but not too strong flavor, floralish taste

Yelp
Been to this shop several times before and the quality has definitely gone down. This place used to but good, but won't be back after this last experience. Picked up the donuts on 1/28/24, Sunday afternoon @ 2pm...expected the donuts to taste soft and fresh. Unfortunately this was not the case. I ordered 4 moochi donuts, 3 cookies, and 1 chocolate masala. After placing the order, I was told I can take the 3 cookies home to bake myself or wait 15 minutes. Why would I pay for cookies that I have to bake myself? Doesn't make any sense. I'm going to a bakery expecting them to come out fresh and hot from the bakery. They should have a sign that informs customers of the cookie wait time. I asked to get a refund on the cookies. The employee said .."ok, it will take awhile to get my refund back to my credit card". I asked for a receipt to confirm the refund, he said he couldn't do that. I'll have to monitor my credit card for this. So disappointed to receive 4 dry/stale moochi donuts; tasted like they were 3 - 4 days old. The cereal on the pumpkin donut also tasted extremely stale too. This place is not cheap either... $2.95 for each stale moochi donut was a waste of money. Even yum yum donuts taste softer and better than what I got today. The chocolate masala was decent, tasted soft and had a lot of chocolate filling.

Yelp
Quality of the food has changed. I would not recommend their food anymore. Food seems stale and old

Yelp
Great malasadas in Southern California! My partner and I were hunting for malasadas since we went to Hawaii. We were craving them and found this place on Yelp. It was a great suggestion. There was little to no wait, came warm and fresh, and were the perfect little treat. The malasadas were light and fluffy. As having had Leonard's Malasadas, these are not too far from comparison. We got the matcha filled, custard, ube, and taro malasadas. They were all wonderful flavors and we'd love to try more next time!

Yelp
The vibes are impersonal. You walk in and head striaght to order and pay on their touch screen and someone comes out to take the order receipt and start making/compiling my box of donuts. They don't even greet you when they come out. I love mochi donuts and they are lacking on the mochi and taste more like a regular donut. I have tried real and better mochi donuts and don't see myself coming back again.

Yelp
/)/) ( . .) ( づ disappointed about this place. Wanted to try for myself but most of the bad reviews are right... first of all the mochinut was not fresh. Milk and cereal flavor was a really good flavor if the mochinut was fresh and chewy. The ube Malasada was fresh but no ube flavor at all. It was very meh overall. Would not recommend going. It's not worth it :( if you want mochinut stay with the original mochinut place! Still the best.

Yelp
Pretty cute spot to grab a freshly made masalada either plain or filled. Either way you'll be pleasantly surprised by its crispy doughy yummy-ness. Glad I dropped in early, no line and self serve kiosk was easy to maneuver. Coffee was equally as tasty, freshly made, milk alternative available too, lactose or dairy free. I'll be back again soon, gotta try some more goodies here.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been here but their mochinuts are soft and fluffy. They're great to bring to parties or for work events. The designs are so cute and presentable. They also have a wide variety of different flavors. My favorite would have to be the taro rainbow. There is a self ordering machine in the front along and they also come with photos of how each mochinut is designed. The mochinuts are made extremely fresh and may take a while, but is totally worth the wait. They are not too sweet like other donut places. They are crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy in the inside. There are also plenty of street parking in the front of the store, and additional parking in the back plaza. Would come back and recommend to others.

Yelp
Not bad to try them out. The mochinuts are good but i prefer a fluffy donut and a mochi separate then having them together. Some things are better separate lol. Don't get me wrong a cronut is amazing! But not so much for a mochinut. Although compared between a mochinut or a custard filled donut, I'll choose the mochinut unless you have a super sweet tooth and one who likes to scoop a blob of custard or whip cream into your mouth and not feel like you will get diabetes or a heart attack over night. That's how i felt. The custard was way too overloaded and can probably take it down a notch. Let say, we got a box full for a party and everything was half tried. A few were left even for the sweet tooth peeps in the house. So that tells you something. If the custard was perhaps half less and exchanged for more fluffier and meatier donuts and a tad less sweet, i would totally be a regular customer!! For now, unless to another party, ill stick to mochinuts for the curious peeps at the party. Although i will also add, they were quite costly. Forgot to mention, parking is small in the back or a few street parkings available on a busy large street.

Yelp
Mochi donuts were okay. The Malasadas are better. Park in the back. + Malasada flavors: Matcha and Earl Grey Must be enjoyed fresh, and the gooey texture of the inside vs. the break apart exterior were good! The bread is still a bit much for me and the sugar on the outside made the malasadas seem similar to donuts. + Mochi Donut Flavors: Cinnamon, I think Mango, Strawberry Pocky, Guava, and blueberry. Blueberry & cinnamon were the best flavors. Strawberry Pocky was too sweet. Must be enjoyed fresh. Decent attempt at a mochi donut, but I would come back only for the malasadas.

Yelp
Took my wife here yesterday because we were in the mood for something sweet. Generally, I always go to Mochinut but my wife insisted on going here since it was closer to where we were. It was raining so I parked right in front while my wife went in. She was relaying the different kinds of flavors they had and the whole time no one even greeted her yet. She said she even rang the bell - it mustve been almost 5 minutes til i saw her talking to someone. We ended up getting 1 plain malasada, 1 pink pocky, 1 cookies n cream & 1 regular mochinut. It took about 10 minutes or so to get everything, which I thought it meant that they were fresh but no, just the malasada was warm. It lacked flavor and I would just honestly spend my money elsewhere

Yelp
0 stars. If you want a dry, dense, flavorless mochi donut then this is the place. I understand that I happened to walk in on the later side with my boyfriend. I don't think that justifies the service we received. We placed our order and it seemed like no one was working. I thought I'd receive my order in a box. Turns out that the person working decides to smash all 4 mochi donuts in a brown paper bag. Doing this ruined the topping and frosting on each donut. The donuts are super dry and for a fact sis not taste fresh. I won't be coming back. I advice you don't waste your time and money on this place.

Yelp
Husband came here on a whim while I was at Lavaland next door. He ordered: 1 vanilla custard filled 1 matcha green tea custard filled 2 caramel macchiato custard filled The mochi texture makes these donuts really good. Glad he bought 4 of them to eat!

Yelp
They have salted egg yolk mochi donuts here, and honestly I love them so so much. After I tried my first one I went back and bought 4 more salted egg yolk ones :p The mochi donuts here aren't the best, I wish it were more soft and chewy but they felt not as soft as I like. You order at a tablet and then they prepare the sweets for you. I'd say this isn't the best place for mochi donuts BUT their salted egg yolk ones are amazing. I love salted egg yolk in general, and the donuts have the perfect mix of savory and sweet. The matcha white chocolate is really good!! I think it's one of the best matcha mochi donuts i've had bc you can really taste the aromatic matcha flavor, unlike other places that use really sweet matcha.

Yelp
I came by again to get doughnuts for my clients. I was very much impress how this business takes constructive criticism. Very customer focus! There packaging is now beautiful! They have a colorful box that looks really nice and presentable. To begin with, these doughnuts are really good. They have variety of flavors that are mouth watering. Their mochi taro/ube flavor is my fave. It's not too sweet, the chewiness and the texture melts in your mouth What I love about these doughnuts, it doesn't taste oily even the next day. Whenever I have left overs, I just warm them in the toaster oven. There you go it's fresh again! I love to start my day with sweetness.

Yelp
Wherever I am, I keep an eye out for mochi donuts. We stumbled into this place while walking to dinner. I LOVED their malasada but I have to say the mochi donut was average (tried Oreo chocolate and rainbow taro). You order via a kiosk (only one at the store but we only had to wait 5 minutes when we went on a Wed evening). It's not a sit down place, there's a single bench while you wait for your order. Would definitely come back for the malasada.

Yelp
Dot & Dough offers a selection of Classic Donuts, Filled Donuts, Premium Filled Donuts, and Mochi Donuts. The parking is behind the plaza and you'll need to walk around to the front to access the store. I recommend parking towards the middle or on the outer side to walk around towards the street. I got a vanilla filled and Thai tea filled donut. The flavors are what you would expect from both and I enjoyed the filling. There was ample filling and the donut was bursting with filling so you'll get some filling in every bite. So you know what to expect, the donuts here are not usually hot/fresh out of the oven so it was room temperature, but not stale. I'm more of a fan of hot donuts but if you're looking for certain flavors you can't find anywhere else, you can likely find them here.

Yelp
TASTE: Good but not particularly special. The filled sugar donuts are really just that. We tried the Belgian chocolate custard one and the filling was really good but I'd still rather have a Beard Papa. Texture is where I was really disappointed though. We also purchased 2 mochi donuts and I was really excited to have my first mochi donut ever but while I was expecting a little bit of a crisp shell but it was instead soft throughout. VALUE: For the price of one donut I can get at least two elsewhere. That usually means super gourmet special topped with custom designs or something or maybe like a comically large donut. These were neither. SERVICE: What service? It's as about impersonal as you can get. It's downright off putting. You walk into a tiny little space with a display of preserved donuts and a single iPad type kiosk on the left. We ring the bell, and tell the guy it's our first time there. Without a word he just keeps pointing at the kiosk. My husband asks about the mochi donuts and the guy says he can't really explain it. I don't need to buy overpriced donuts from a robot. Customer service is a big part of going out and some businesses are just forgetting that. TAKE AWAY: I'm really glad I finally got to try this place. But I probably will never come back. Taste is fine. Everything is overpriced. There's no warmth.

Yelp
We love, love, love getting our cravings at dot & dough. I discovered this from a review and hope to reach this to you as well! First time, we ordered the Belgian and Ube Mochi Malasada and men, they serve it to you hot which is a big plus! Taste wise 10/10 but in the long run, it gets too sweet. Not a problem for me but yes to my husbands since he's not really a sweet tooth type of a person. Second time, just today. Ordered online: 2 types of mochi donut & 4 flavors of Malasa. We got there a little bit late so it's not warm enough to enjoy. So a pro tip is to consume it while it's hot :) Everything tastes good as usual except for the Ube Malasa which taste funny (tastes and smells sour; more like it's spoiled) I called them about it and was able to get a refund. Both me and the bakery didn't know where it went wrong but hopefully they get it checked since not a lot of customers will let you know what is wrong and will just do a negative feedback through word of mouth. To sum it up, I would still go for dot and dough whenever cravings kicked in. We'll probably pass on Ube though

Yelp
I found this listed on the Eater LA Best Donut website. I was in the area and stopped by. Walking up to the store, I actually thought it was out of business, as the front door was so dirty. Things were no better inside. Floor needed cleaning, etc. My donut was over-cooked in oil that was clearly not fresh, then filled immediately with cold custard that of course melted and flowed out all over the bottom of the bag. Worst business I've seen in a long time. Eater--do your homework!!
