this place is very cute with a big reasonably priced menu. i liked the decor a lot and the seating options. this place just has a cute vibe. my cupcake honestly wasn’t my favorite but it wasn’t bad.

Really good. The baked goods are fresh and of the highest quality. My latte was pefect. The atmosphere inside is nice and cozy. Next time I come here (and I will come back again) I will try a few of the different lubch options they have.

Its great for your party, with $ 24.75 you got a dozen mini cupcakes with many flavor such as : Red velvet, strawberry shortcake, vanila squarer, chocolate coconut, and for special flavor that only made on friday/saturday/sunday they got rasberry lemon and passionfruit. Its complete your party with cute cupcakes and great taste!

I came in after a DMV appt (Pasadena location) and it was great. I grabbed toast with berries and cream cheese and a Rose Latte with almond milk. Very nice spot to stop by and grab a coffee. Next time I will have to try a cupcake.

Don't even know that Dots cafe sells family meals until my cousin tells me about it. My wife and I decided to try their Father's Day dinner special. For $130, I think it is worth it, the amount of food can last for 2-3 days. The ribeye has great flavor, tender and easy to chew, especially for my kids. The salad is refreshing. Potato Gratin and the Spinach Cream are a little on the salty side. The peanut chocolate dessert is excellent, moist and flavorful, not too sweet. I will definitely try their weekly dinner meals when I am too lazy to cook.

I love coming here for breakfast and cupcakes. So tasty and light flavors..I have tried most cupcakes and nothing is too sweet or over powering...today I tried the bakers choice of BP&J cupcake...as a person who doesn't enjoy peanut butter too much it was amazing..the way the peanut frosting blended with the jelly it was so yummy! I also grabbed a daily special with a vanilla latte and a bacon breakfast sandwich! They also offer meal preps and lunch! I love their small gift area also for cute mini honey jars and miscellaneous things like candles and dog toys!

There is almost nothing I enjoy more than the perfect breakfast burrito. I’ve combed through a lot of LA and had countless renditions, dots is very high on my list of favorites. I got the ultimate breakfast burrito and it was delicious I’ve already been back a second time. The eggs were fluffy and creamy and pared perfectly with the cheese and avo as any true Californian appreciates. What can’t be looked passed is the crispness of the bacon. No soggy bacon here. Reasonably priced, totally worth it given the taste and portion sizes. Also pictured is the ultimate breakfast sandwich another very solid option that will not disappoint, pro tip add the sundried tomato mayo. I’ve yet to eat the cupcakes but if they are anything close to the breakfast they will be the cherry on top of a perfect meal. Overall dots is a great location for a brunch and for those who have sweet teeth like me. The bright floral aesthetic and calming vibes make for a great start to a lazy Sunday.

Place looks cute, but not a fan of the food or drink, it was okay edible and definitely over priced for underwhelming no wow factor, staff were not memorable. The taste and flavor are off with the food and drink, it was a long wait yet not worth the wait and there was no line inside either. The coffee beans had a dull after taste, not flavorful for me. The cupcakes looks better than it taste unfortunately, it was dry, great decoration and photos though, it got my foot in the door, however that was it. I really wanted to like this place and find a new gem, but not it sadly. Free parking lot, but limited spaces.

My husband LOVES the mostess (like old school hostess) cupcakes. We've ordered for parties, holidays and even birthday gifts. Everyone we introduce to Dots is sold on their yummy cupcakes. We were sad the Fair Oaks and Arroyo locations closed but very grateful for Dots Cafe and luckily it's not too far away.

What a cutie place! We came for the New York pancakes. They have cupcakes and pastries too. It was a few people in here but not a long wait. We got our drinks quickly and my sandwich came soon after. Customer service is horrendous. I was busy at work but I asked my husband to pick up cupcakes for our daughter's birthday. He waited patiently, only to be ignored. An older woman asked the woman behind him waiting in line if she needed to be helped. When my husband told them he hadn't been helped the older woman then asked the woman waiting in line if "it would be okay if she could help my husband" .... Like what?? You need permission to ask if you can help a man who's been waiting?? You made a mistake. Apologize and acknowledge that. When I called and tried explaining the situation, the owner (I'm assuming because she never introduced herself) didn't apologize and then started to argue with me. Promising me that "she did in fact help my husband". Like really?? I'm going to call you out of the blue on a Saturday to complain just because I have nothing else better to do? Not okay. My husband also mentioned when he walked in he noticed the owner sitting at a table with her friends just hanging out. That the only reason she got up was to answer the phone. Not because he was in line, waiting. Owner doesn't take any customer service responsibility. There have been so many complaints but they're never acknowledged. Believe the owner on the treatment of her employees and her customers. I've reached out in other ways but there's never any apology and that's fine. Take your business elsewhere, like SusieCakes. They've given us free cupcakes on special occasions and the customer service is stellar!

Cute cupcakes and even better drinks, which was a pleasant surprise! I stopped by the day after the Dodgers won the World Series and they already had celebratory cupcakes freshly made. The cafe itself is super cute and spacious. The employees were courteous and friendly. I got a 6pk of the minis along with an iced tiramisu latte, which was one of the best drinks I've ever had!

Dots Cafe is super cute and delicious! I got the waffle combo and it was not overly sweet, it was perfect. The chai I got was good too! The customer service was good as well and the inside is nice and cozy! They have such a great display of cupcakes that I hope to come back to try again.

Really liked this place! I liked the variety of cupcakes. I was super excited to learn they do tea party boxes and tea parties there. They have parties there and regular groups. The owner was there and was very nice. They also make coffee drinks. Dots is right off the fwy and you kind of have to know it's there because it's not smack in the center of things, but it's worth checking out. The cupcakes were slightly dry in my opinion, but still good enough - and super cute.

Absolutely yummy lunch at Dots cafe. They offer a menu with sandwiches, salads, and they even sell their popular cupcakes! This is a great location on Colorado/Rosemead and right off the 10 freeway! We all ordered their sandwiches and salad and it was all made very good. The food is very fresh, my fries were made perfectly crispy, and I love how my swiss cheese just pulls out. My only downside is the edges of the bread was a bit too tough for me. The lunch was a good portion. My colleagues loved their food as well and their salad was very good. Matcha latte was more milky but I finished the whole cup. The location is very clean and if you choose to dine in, then you would order first, and then staff would bring the food to you. Keep in mind lunch hours is usually very packed especially on a weekday so plan ahead :)

I love Dots Café in East Pasadena! I work in town in Sierra Madre one week a month and before work I like to come by and get a breakfast sandwich with a latte combo. It's one of my favorite places for breakfast and did I mention their cupcakes! They have the cutest little mini cupcakes and regular size cupcakes. Their packaging is adorable and the cupcakes are delicious!

The 5 stars is first for the very friendly service. But mostly it's for their blacken chicken sandwich. I only bought it on a whim and boy and I glad that I did. It had to be the best hot sandwich that I've ever tasted. As for the cupcakes, I guess I'll grudgingly give a 4 because i felt they are much better than 3 but not even close to a 5. They are very very dense and I like a more light cake. The icing's are amazing and they're what makes the cupcake.

Cute spot!! Love the mini cupcakes. All kinds of flavors. I loved my tuna melt. My husband loved his breakfast burrito & my co worker friend loved her eggs, bacon breakfast. The people that ran the place were nice. They were patient while I picked flavors of cupcakes I wanted. lol It was during summer, so it was very bright and welcoming inside. Love the decorations. Lots of places to take photos. Will definitely stop by again.

Always a hit for my parties. Every one always loves them. I love their packaging too. Their flavors are all unique and delicious. Their cupcakes are perfectly moist , not too moist but not dry.

This place is an absolute gem for breakfast, brunch, or lunch--and the cupcakes are AMAZING!! I've tried a variety of menu items, including their cupcakes, breakfast dishes, salads, and comfort bowls, and everything has been consistently fresh and delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which adds to the overall great experience. I also love the wide variety of food and drink options, including coffees and unique refreshments. The interior is beautifully decorated with floral touches and vibrant colors--definitely social media worthy! Their cupcakes come in both regular and mini sizes, and they are super cute! I am picky on cupcake icing, but I can eat Dots cupcake icing because they make it so tasty on top of a fluffy cake base. If you own a dog, they have dog cupcakes too. lol. The cupcakes also come in beautifully designed boxes, and they are always a hit when I get them for a pot luck or for my colleagues and friends. If you haven't visited yet, you're missing out. I highly recommend this place!

It's adorable but honestly nothing is mind blowing. The cupcakes are tasty but could be slightly more moist and the food itself is lacking in seasoning. Staff are friendly. Even with all that being said I still find myself here a couple of times a year. Perhaps it's the charm overall.

This is such a hidden gem! The place is decorated with so many cute things! Very chill place to have breakfast, lunch or grab coffee/desserts (so many choices for cupcakes)! I had the breakfast burrito and it was delicious! I ordered a side of sausage and hash browns for my son. The service was good! Its order at the counter and they will bring your food to you, but you buss your own plates when you're done. Self serve area for water and utensils.

The man that waited on us was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We got 8 cupcakes together. Two regular size and six mini's. The mini carrot was the best. It was very moist and flavorful.The others were dry and really wasn't very pleasant to eat. We spent a lot of money for cupcakes and we could only truly enjoy one mini cupcake. Oh, we also bought a cupcake for our dog. He enjoyed it as well. I am extremely disappointed. It was meant to be special celebration. Lesson learned.

Cupcakes were the driest pastries I've ever had, even supermarket ones were better. Dry as cardboard. Can't speak to their food items as I didn't try but wow so dry and waste of money.

Just happened into this cafe' for breakfast and so glad we did. Everything was really good, but especially the strawberry jam (homemade, I'd guess) and fresh orange juice. Best breakfast I'm sure to have all month!! Only way it would have been better if I didn't get pinned down by someone sharing her politics with us.

My #ThankfulThursday goes to Dots Cafe. I've became a frequent client of their family dinners ever since Covid. Their family dinners are so convenient, flavorful and a great value. They usually post the week's menu Sunday night. Their weekly menu has a good variety. I've really enjoyed their Chimichura steak, Brick oven chicken, Katsu chicken, Classic pot roast, and Lomo Saltado. We tried their Jambalaya and that one was too spicy. Wish they put if it's going to be spicy on the menu just to warn people who are more sensitive to spicy. Before I used to be able to call the same day to place the order for that night's dinner but lately I noticed that they've been sold out already early in the morning. So if you see a dinner that you like, make sure you order ahead! The cafe is very clean and always has really cute decor inside. It brings joy every time I walk into the cafe because of the vibrant colors. The staff has been very friendly over the phone and when we come to pick up.

The shopping_for_treats_to_share experience at Dot's was wonderful. They provided not only good-looking good-tasting cakes and cookies, but also reasonable suggestions and efficient solutions. The decors were cute, the holiday ideas came handy and the people were smart and reliable! Felt that I got more than what I expected out of their affordable prices. Before the morning of pick up, I specifically ran down to try their mini cake in case of 'dry taste' as some reviews mentioned. it turned out that the cake body was quite moist and smooth. Not super sweet. The coffee was good too. A low key but satisfying match to the desserts.

Very happy with their cupcakes selection and the male server today. He is very helpful and he will give you recommendations too. Very beautiful and tasty cupcakes. We will return for sure.

First time here for a meeting one weekend morning. It is a quiet place ( at 9 am on a Saturday) with adorable decor for those who appreciate lots of color surrounding them. Besides beverages and pastries, they also serve breakfast and lunch, and offer a family dinner plan. I only had iced tea and a pastry so I will return for the food next time. Parking is in the small lot, but street parking is available--friendly folks behind the counter are willing to take your photo under their huge balloon arch.

Great selection of cupcakes. Service was great until we got to the tip screen. Was picking up an order so I skipped the tip and just got a skunk face response from the worker after he realized it. No response after I still thank the worker for their help. Will now go back less often.will find another place now.

Ordered the 6 pack of cupcakes for pickup for a birthday. So disappointed. The cupcakes are cute I'll give it that, but the taste was so bad. The cupcakes are so dense and dry. They were flavorless and hard too. My guests all thought the same. Genuinely so disappointed.

I've been here many times but never thought to write a review. Was down at the location in old town and saw they moved :( The cupcakes are a hit. My fav is the fleur de sol(sp?). The people behind the counter is always friendly. Can be a neighborhood cafe. Close to residences. Has its own parking. Quiet music in the background to allow for conversation.

Wow, I would never believe that Dots that I hold in such high regard would ever bring me to complete disgust. I walked in to grab a cupcake and half a dozen to bring home to surprise my family during an hour drive home. There were FLIES on the cupcakes!!! Inside and outside the display counter. I could not believe this! It was just one it were multiple just having their feast on those precious cupcakes. I almost got sick and had to leave but so much worse I am soooo sad! I can't patronize this place anymore I've never ever witnessed something like this from ANY establishment. Please Dot's I can see someone else has mentioned this problem before so if you decide to do something about it and fix the fly or whatever is causing not common houseflies but like infestation flies there, I'll gladly come back and you can DM me. I need and love these cupcakes but won't get an illness over them. GROSS!!

This is a new favorite breakfast joint with my boyfriend. We have been here a few times. This is right by Yang Chow in a tiny plaza. They have limited free parking. I never knew Dot's have a cafe. What a wonderful place to get a cupcake and have breakfast. Service is amazing, breakfast sandwich is too die for and cupcakes are so yummy. What are you waiting for? You must come check this place out

Dots, once a beloved cupcake shop for my wife and I, but now just tasting stale. The shop was nice and offered a wider selection of food stuffs, but the appeal is the cupcakes when it comes to Dots. Unfortunately, it is nothing like how it originally was back on Dayton.

Dots is located at a busy intersection and they have an assortment of cupcakes. We decided to brunch due to the proximity of the location. Ordered the Breakfast Burrito and French Toast. The Ultimate Breakfast Burrito is stuffed with Guac, Bacon, Sausage, Hash Brown, Cheese, and Egg. Very filling and decent. They pair it with a Habernero Sauce and a Jalapeño. The place is spacious and clean. They have their utensils and water as self service. Had to try their passion fruit filled Vanilla Cupcake. It was not bad.

Finally dined inside and it was as beautiful as I thought it would be! I found a parking spot pretty easily. I loooove the floral wall paper and other floral decor. They have the prettiest water station! There is a range of food to choose from. I decided to try the waffle with meat option so I could get both savory and sweet! I also sampled my friend's quinoa bowl (that sausage was definitely a turkey sausage and doesn't compare to the bacon hehe). Will definitely come back and try pastries and their coffee. It's sucha great ambiance!

Cookie and atmosphere are amazing. Very lively and delicious! However not an ideal study cafe. No WiFi available. But it's nice to sit and enjoy good company.

Been coming here for years and it's been my go to spot for all occasions for my daughters. Let me tell you the service needs to improve with employees with a bad attitude. I had to double take a look at this rude girl who was helping me. I would have said something to her but my daughter was there but I'm sure she knew I wasn't happy with my face expression. The cupcakes are good, we always get their min size and it's perfect. The price is reasonable and this place is so pretty. It's spacious and they do serve food here too.

A nice neighborhood cafe that is great for brunch. This restaurant is decorated warmly, and is a wonderful place to hang around while getting some good food. The only thing is their lunch menu started at 12pm. So when we got there at 11:30am, we still have to order the breakfast menu. The servers are kind and greeted everyone with a great smile. The avocado toast that I ordered is fresh and tasty. I didn't order their famous cup cake. But I did see a lot of people came in for take out order of cupcake. They must be pretty good.

The latest cupcake I tried from here was the cute little puppy one, which appeared to be a frosted muffin at first but WOW it was a cupcake with such a unique taste and was so good! It had chocolate chips in it and was so moist and crumbly (in a good way), that I assumed it was like one of those deliciously-horrible-for-you muffins you can buy in packs of 2 at the grocery store. Despite the identical texture to one of those muffins, it was in fact a cupcake! I wish I could identify the secret ingredient. It wasn't supposed to be a flavored cupcake beyond chocolate chip, but it had such a unique taste to it. Something sweet that I couldn't identify, but was so tasty!

There's this lil' place called Dots.... They are hands down, THE best cupcakes. And that comes from a 'cupcake connoisseur'. But that's just semantics. I don't particularly love a ton of frosting, so if there are any of you out there who are like me, you should think about having Dot's Cupcakes cater something for you. Or stop in and take a bite of one. Even just a nibble. Yummm.

Seriously the Cutest Little cafe! Very friendly Staff and Delicious food! This is such a beautiful establishment the entire inside was decorated with love and light! I came in today on a whim and I'm so pleased I did! It's so cozy inside and absolutely beautiful to boot! I'll definitely be back. I also purchase some sweet treats on the way out I cannot wait to dig in later today! Everything is priced reasonably and it's all Fresh! Thank you for a lovely lunch & a relaxing experience. PS the cupcakes and cookies were phenomenal, especially the chocolate chocolate, cupcake, carrot cake, and mint chocolate cupcake! Definitely satisfied my sweet tooth!

One of my favorite cupcake spots! The original is in Old Town Pasadena where they know our order! This location is super cute and larger with a cafe! This location offers more than just cupcakes, they have breakfast, sandwiches, salads, coffee/tea drinks, plus house made family meals and meal plans! There are some satisfying savory meals available! This last time we were here for a quick snack and it was yum! Steak Chimichurri Sandwich - skirt steak, swiss, mayo, roasted red peppers, lettuce, tomato, chimichurri on a soft French roll - the sandwich was yummy! The bread was thick but soft with great texture. That chimichurri sauce was so good! I used the drippings from the sandwich as a dip for the fries! The steak was cooked well, tender, and thin enough to eat easily. Fries were okay, tasted like they were sitting out for a bit though. BLAT - turkey, bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato, & mayo on housemade bread - this is your typical BLT but it is huge! Pretty good. Fleur de Sel cupcake - my favorite cupcake ever! This is my usual and since it's been a while since I've been here, I had to get my fave. Iced Lychee Black Tea - this is super yum! Make sure to mix it real good, otherwise, you get lots of sweet at the beginning and no sweet later on. It tastes like they use canned lychee bits, and the syrup from the can as the flavoring. It's still good & yummy! This is my go to drink! I've had pretty much all their flavors of cupcakes as we get them for team meetings or celebrations! My fave is definitely the Fleur de Sel, but all the chocolate cake based ones are great! The other flavors aren't as great for me, sometimes a little dry. But they all taste great! They also offer meal plans or family meals, they come out to about $10 per portion. Great for when you don't want to cook, big groups or picnics! They have the weekly menu up on their Instagram page. The little cafe is the cutest! Great service! Great food! Great ambiance. Parking is available in the small shared lot, otherwise, street parking is available. Definitely recommended!

First time visiting the cafe,been a fan of Dots cupcake for many years since Fair Oaks and Arroyo parkway branch days. We ordered few dozen of mini cupcakes. They have the regular flavors and Daily special flavors. Check the website for daily flavors. My favorite Chocolate Lovers , Red Velvet and Dulce de Leche. Not too sweet and it's always moist. Also tried their Lavender Latte- cold, it was very good but probably too strong of caffeine for me so I will stick with Ice Black tea/peach flavor. The place has indoor dining area and I saw one outside table outside, they have display of merchandise that are cute, so check hat out. The person helping us ,Elisa so helpful and sweet.. thank you. They have good parking area.they are open early for Breakfast will great selection 0f food. This is definitely a great local spot for Brunch.

I really, really wanted to like this place. Especially after seeing all the high reviews, all the love from the community, and definitely after seeing how affordable their family meal plans were. I decided to take the risk and order the holiday family meal for Thanksgiving. This family meal was slated to be picked up on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. There's a time slot that you have to pick it up at and just know that the parking lot is pretty small for such a popular cafe and other businesses in the plaza, so be ready to get street parking. Other than that, pick up was pretty hassle free, you just let them know your name and you're good to go. This family meal came was $70 and intended to feed a family of 4. It came with: -A bourbon orange glazed ham -Maple glazed Brussel sprouts and sweet potatoes with cranberries and pecans. -Roasted beet salad. -Dinner rolls. -An 8 inch German chocolate cake. EVERYTHING tasted medicinal. Like this strange after taste that tastes like menthol medication or a cough drop. Even after following the proper storage instructions and cooking instructions, it still tasted this way. None of that sweet maple glaze or the orange flavor was detected. I am really unsure of how this happened and everyone in my family made a comment about it. When I didn't taste that strange menthol flavor, the ham was dry and overly salty. Out of all the savory course dishes, somehow the dinner rolls were the best part of it all... The German chocolate cake was alright and great if you have a sweet tooth, but it was WAY too sweet, especially for my family since I have older Asian parents (who crave the "not too sweet" sweet taste). The addition of coconut on top blew the sweetness out of proportion. It was alright with a glass of milk, but I could feel myself getting tired of eating it as I pushed myself to finish leftovers throughout the Thanksgiving weekend. I don't mind coming back one day to try their cupcakes, but I think I'm good on the family meals.

I don't know where to start with this review so I'll just go for it. I've been a fan of Dots since the beginning of their journey. The cupcakes have been a huge hit in my family. I used to love going to their location on Arroyo many years ago, where the original staff and bakers planted their roots for this establishment. I've been honored to meet a few of the back of house staff; which are the main reason why this business has bloomed. I see a lot of the original members have left their legacy and original recipes behind and now the cupcakes just don't taste the same. These cupcakes used to be delicious, now just dry and overly sweet. Once the cafe opened, I was able to try their new menu, meet new faces, including the owner, Hailey Kwon. After meeting her several times, I really wonder how her doors are still open. This lady plays a whole facade on her socials and if you pay close attention, she never takes a moment to honor the people who work hard behind her doors who make her business possible. The times I've interacted with her, she has been rude, grumpy, almost bothered that she has guests at her overpriced cafe. I'm done coming here because I simply can't understand why she's so cold, and I've seen her intimidate her staff right in front of customers. She hires young people to pay them less and intimidate them. and I was hearing the stories from past staff on indeed where it's confirmed she's taken advantage of a lot of good people, including the main baker. No wonder the cupcakes don't hit like they used to. I hope the owner finds happiness and turns her place around. And now that the building is white, it definitely feels plain, like any other cafe. Treat your employees and guests better! Your cafe has lost its spunk.

We purchased Dots Cafe Easter Family meal for our Easter dinner. The food from the main course of roasted ham and turkey to the side dishes and dessert were expertly prepared, flavorful and delicious. We will definitely order this again.

It's the case of a game gone bad not called Duck Duck Goose but Dot Dot Don't! So I'm going to make this short and sweet kinda like my stay. Boom! Their cupcakes are definitely delicious with daily flavors and new ones popping up throughout the week. The honey cinnamon specialty latte was good and that's about it for the highlights of this adventure. So this is where it goes bad. I ordered the avocado toast that had all the fixings and a very special one inside. A long dark hair accompanied my toast and luckily i saw it while I was splitting the toast in half or else I would've coughed up a fur ball or something! The employee I talked to didn't look shocked and didn't offer any apologies just if I wanted something else? Really? To make even worse she looked upset that she had to refund me? What? Oh well, you win some and loose some. And that's my take on this, Peace...

Stopped by here briefly because I always passed by it and wanted to finally try it. Got a couple of cupcakes - the vanilla milk chocolate and the strawberry one. The strawberry was...underwhelming. There was literally only one strawberry. At least it was kinda fresh? The frosting was good, at least. This is what the review is only 4-star instead of a solid 5. The vanilla milk chocolate was excellent and I can see why that particular cupcake would be their biggest seller. The decor was divine, and the staff was lovely. I might come back to try their lunch menu. It was quite busy when I was there so it was rather popular that day (Saturday).

Staff was very friendly and greeting when I walked in to pick up my phone order. Food is delicious. I ordered the breakfast burrito and added sausage (you get a choice to add sausage, bacon or avocado) I paid extra for the avocado. Side Salsa is delicious! Tortilla is crunchy on the outside, just how I like it

Real nice, earthy feel right when you walk in, view of flower decor on the walls and succulents on the table. They changed the layout to provide a small private event setting for a party of 10 on the side, blocked by a wooden shelf with faux flowers all around. Place gets really busy so we had to come early in the morning to beat the crowd. Place looks like they're low on staff so its best to come here when it not crowded in order to get the best service. I usually come for their breakfast/brunch menu because I can't get enough of their waffles and pancakes. Prices are reasonable. Even though they're known for their cupcakes, I'm actually not a fan of their texture and flavors; only a fan of their designs. It's great to give as a gift not the best to take home as an indulgence. Overall, it's a great venue for breakfast or brunch with your family or meet up with your buddies. Two thumbs up for me and my family.

Literally every single time I place an order it's wrong. No exaggeration the last 10 orders have been wrong. Price of cupcakes also went up. I no longer will continue to support.
