Best Restaurant Patios in Dallas | Eater Dallas

"It’s hard to beat the expansive patio at this Deep Ellum spot. There’s a touch of class in the absolutely enormous chandelier they’ve hooked up outside, but the ground your feet stay on is firmly loose gravel. It’s usually a rowdy party, so come prepared to meet your neighbors and share a toast. It serves lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. The Deep Ellum Voodooo Death Chili is a solid order, as is the Cubano. There are a seemingly endless number of IPAs and that is just where this extremely deep beer menu starts. Parking in Deep Ellum is a game of chance, but street parking and paid lots are all around." - Rachel Pinn

Bars and Nightlife in Dallas-Fort Worth

"Forget the formal title. Locals just call this spot Dots. If the inside bar, complete with 100 craft beers on tap, wasn’t reason enough for a visit, wait until you see the outside. Accentuated by a giant chandelier, murals, and stained-glass art depicting Dallas landmarks and icons, this massive open-air courtyard is something to behold and a big reason why Dots is one of Deep Ellum’s best." - MATADOR_NETWORK

8 Best Margaritas in Dallas | Eater

"The boisterous, sprawling Dot’s spans more than 10,000 square feet in Deep Ellum, with much of that dedicated to beer (there are more than 99 taps!) — but don’t get misled, this is not your average brewpub. Dot’s stays true to its chic Dallas clientele with local art and a giant outdoor chandelier composed of 65,000 glass beads in its “cocktail courtyard.” The class extends to the cocktail menu, where the Repo margarita showcases Espolón Reposado topped with a floater of Grand Marnier." - Vox Creative

10 Dallas Sandwiches That Will Cure Even the Worst Hangover | Eater Dallas

"This open-faced Philly cheesesteak was made for the adventurous (and hungry) brunch-goer. As mouthwatering as it is mountainous, Dot’s has created a behemoth among other causal brunch items with queso-smothered duck fat fries and grilled peppers and onions that rest on top of a chicken-fried ribeye and a jalapeño-cheddar cornbread waffle with candied bacon." - Lauren Coe

Google
Dot's has an extensive beer and cocktail list, including several cocktails in tap. There are many indoor dining tables, booths, and bar seats. They also have a large outdoor space of tables and some shade, all scented by a large chandelier and stained glass monument to Dallas' sports victories. Located in one of deep ellum's main streets, there is paid street parking and paid parking garages nearby.

My wife and I dropped by for brunch with 4 friends a Saturday mid May just before noon. The service was nice and polite. The food selection nice - and served fairly fast. The waitress told us that the food is freshly made with ingredients for the local area - and there is no microwave in the kitchen. The music outside is really LOUD. We asked if it could now turned down a bit - but that was not possible.?.. Later we returned for some beers - they have 99 different beers to choose from. We sat inside this time - and the music is less noisy there. Very nice experiences all in all.

Google
Absolutely amazing service. Our server was Mercedes and she was excellent. She was always there when we needed her and never left us waiting for anything. She laughed and smiled, and we had a great time. Will definitely be coming back because the service here was excellent. Great job and keep it up!

Google
We hosted a going away party for friends at Dot's and the staff was so welcoming and very attentive! They went all out to help us with our event. Music was popping and drinks were fantastic! Amazing outdoor space, and the inside of the bar was also great. Ladies, there's also clean bathrooms!

Google

Google
Dots hop house and cocktail courtyard is an awesome place to grab anything! The food is artisan dressed and delicious. You can’t go wrong on the food choice. The amazing selection of beers are posted on the wall and numbered for your selection. Bar tender can help if you’re having trouble choosing. The liquor drinks are great and plenty of liquor to choose from top shelf! The seating area has tables indoor and outdoor with killer friendly good time vibes! The is a definite stop in Dallas you have to make! You won’t be disappointed.

Google
This is a fun dive-y bar with great atmosphere & an extensive beer list. Indoor seating along with a big outdoor courtyard. On our last visit, one bartender was great, and the other was the kind that sees you but doesn’t see you, if you know what I mean. All in all a great place worth visiting. They have a food menu - my dining companions said it was solid. No vegetarian options though.

Google
I love a wide variety of beers and was amazed at their tap wall. I had one of my favorites the bomb, then tried a few new and unique goodies. 46 was a creamy pb jelly style, 58 was an outstanding hefe, and 78 the bomb. I loved the loaded fries! Can't wait to go back and keep trying the wall!

Yelp
Great beer selection, truly something for everyone! Service was good, the waitress checked on us a few times. There is a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. Patio heaters were up and running when we were there.

Yelp
Ordered one 2017 CBS from their 100 taps. Bartender brought my tab and it was $16.88. I asked why it was so expensive for one beer. "Oh, that's super rare. It's from 2017!" I've had this beer before and although it's vintage, it's not sought after. I've also drank many rare craft beers and $16 for a 12oz pour is rare indeed. They also managed to charge 0.49 for a credit card surcharge and a 0.15 for a "service charge." None of this (beer price, surcharges) were communicated by the bartender when I ordered. For that price, I could've ordered a craft cocktail. The bar was pretty dead on a Sunday. If you're going to charge so much for a beer, and also add a surcharge for using a credit card, either post it on something other than the bottom of the receipt when it's too late or have your bartender say something when it's ordered.

Yelp
We came upon a recommendation from the tap-tender at west lake brewery down the road. Great food, so much beer, and the Rangers/Astros were playing!! Cool vibes. A little Halloweeny at the time, but the furniture was cool and the ladies room was mirror-selfie-worthy. We sat at the bar and ordered two apps to split. We had the loaded fries and these spicy chicken bottle rocket things. Wow. Just wow. No need to choose between quality and quantity! The bartender was helpful with the huge beer list and easy enough to flag down. I think the manager or owner was also checking in on folks. Everyone was delightful and made it a good last night in Dallas for us!

Yelp
This is a chill place to meet up with friends and sit outside in the warm weather. The food is mediocre at best. Just bar food so expectations shouldn't be high. Most of the bartenders seem to hate their job. The drink menu is extensive and was rudely talked to when they didn't have what I wanted to try. After going back to the menu to reevaluate what I'd pick as second choice, bartender poured what my partner was having instead of giving me a moment. I suppose Tuesday nights aren't that lucrative for them.

Yelp
Great bar with a huge outdoor space that is decorated well and spacious for lots of people. There are tons of picnic tables and string lights that make it a really nice place to hang out. There is also space indoors. The fries and appetizers were good and the staff was really friendly.
google avatar

Anastasia W.

Yelp
I was only here for 10 mintues but it was nice!! Really big area. There was a ton of people with a party so I ended up getting my beer and leaving. Would come back.
google avatar

Yelp
We wanted to get another drink and more food after a whole day at the Texas State Fair, and casually finding this place was a pleasant surprise. They have a wide patio in a beautiful outdoor area that seems to be dog friendly. We ordered simple appetizers but they were pretty tasty. Drinks were plentiful and satisfying. We had a good time here.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is actually quite good. Their burgers, chili, and duck fat fries are tasty and are huge. Their beer selection is off the wall (literally). I generally like darker beers and they had a large variety to choose from. Service is quick and easy. Staff are plenty nice and you can tell they're enjoying their time. The bar is very spacious and has tons of outdoor seating available if you're unable to find a seat indoors. Overall I had a great time, enjoyed my food/drinks, music was great, and the people there are outstanding. Thanks Dots for an amazing St. Patrick's day celebration!
google avatar

Yelp
This place was really good! The duck fat fries were huge and definitely shareable. The chicken sandwich was also huge, and really good. We came on a Friday night and had quick service. I liked this place and hope to be back!

Yelp
I came here for a few drinks to only comment on that experience. I enjoy the fact that they have various options for beers and ciders. There is plenty of seating inside and outside in the courtyard area. The food looked delicious, but limited options, if anything at all, for me as I am both dairy and gluten-free.

Yelp
Can I just tell you how much I love Dots Hop House? Like so much. My friend and I met today for brunch before checking out the Deep Ellum Art Festival, walking by and seeing the patio roped me in. I'm a sucker for a good patio. Let's just start with that chandelier. Love. There was ample seating in this open patio. It was about 1:00 on a Sunday and they were plenty of seats available. I do feel like the staff was pretty short because it did take a while to get everything and to be served. Our server was very friendly though. Once we relayed that we were in a hurry to get going she made sure to get us out of there quickly. I got the crab cake benedict that was served with breakfast potatoes and my friend got the chicken and grits. Both had really good flavor. Inside the restaurant there was a amply stocked bar with 99 taps! That's a whole lot of beer! The inside had a masculine rustic vibe going on. The bathrooms were pretty cool, my friend sent me a picture of the men's sinks, they are made out of kegs! The water faucets are taps. That's pretty cute. In walking distance of the restaurant there are so many things to do and experience. The Art Festival was about a 10 minute walk, we saw all kinds of really cool things on the way. I love the patio vibe of Dots, we will definitely be back! Oh, and they are dog friendly! They should give extra points for that!

Yelp
I am pretty impressed with this groovy little spot in Deep Ellum. The courtyard is sizable with enough tables to easily fit a crowd. We had smooth and easy table service that kept the drinks coming. The menu is simple with a lot of bar food options that are a notch above actual bar food. The duck fat loaded fries are a must, but forewarning you won't have room for much else! I loved being there on a Monday night and want to come back for brunch as that menu looks amazing.
google avatar

Michael Z.

Yelp
This place was great!! The entire vibe was perfect. Plenty of seating - the outside space is amazing! TONS of beers to order; good food. They also had a beer with the same name as my brother, so of course I had to order it. If I ever find myself back in Dallas, I'll definitely be coming back here!

Yelp
OMG I LOVE THIS PLACE. From Staff to Food to Drinks. This is legit my go to spot if I want to meet up friends, celebrate a birthday, or just chill out and relax. They have an extensive beer and cider menu, and if you're uncertain as to what you want, Go up to the bar and one of the bartenders will give you a sample of what you want to try. If you have no idea what you want then tell them what you like and they will recommend the PERFECT drink for you! Service like this is rare. I have never felt like I have annoyed the staff, or the bartenders. They always seem happy to help with anything. Another thing I always get when I come here are the Duck fat fries. It's something so simple yet so freaking delicious. Honestly the ambiance of this place is great and the bathrooms are soo clean and pretty. (which we know can be a hit or miss in bars in this area) So if you have been debating about coming here, don't debate and just come.

Yelp
Extensive draft list as well as cocktails. They have 99 taps at least according to their tap wall. More than enough great options to choose from. I personally enjoyed the cucumber margarita, so good. BF loved the raspberry lemonade. Ladies. The bathroom. Immaculate. Smelled amazing, clean. Y'all know how hard it is to find a decent bar bathroom. Wish this place was located at home in Houston, I'd be a regular!

Yelp
As frequent participants in Dallas Mimosa Walks, Dots has the perfect bar food for when you need to just sit and relax for a while! Indoor and outdoor seating, a few yard games like corn hole and foosball. The drinks are great and they have a wide variety of beer on taps. In our opinion the Duck Fries are a must for appetizers. We get them every time, great value to price ratio!

Yelp
Always been a fan to go to Dot's Courtyard for drinks but mainly because of the duck fat cheese fries! When it is a nice day out or nice night I like to sit in the courtyard and grab drinks with friends. Good environment and lots of seating inside and outside. Service has always been spectacular every time I have gone. The duck fat fries are $12 and a MASSIVE amount of fries. Definitely recommend sharing it with others. When I ordered it for myself and put the rest in a to-go box it FILLED it up and looked like I had just ordered it to go.

Yelp
We had a great experience on the patio. The patio is large and pet friendly. The beer selection is massive. The wait staff was friendly and the food was delicious. The old fashioned was tasty. The grilled chicken sandwich, chicken and grits and avocado bruschetta were great choices. We will be back.

Marc R.

Yelp
Really cool bar. Good people. Music playlist is awesome. They have 90 plus beers on tap. Plenty of tvs. We were in town for Seahawks game and wanted to watch Pac-12 Championship, we went to 5-6 bars and it wasn't on the TVs. These guys went out of their way to put it on. I highly recommend.

Dillon H.

Yelp
insane how wildly different this experience can be from one bartender to the next. its either 5 or 1 star with no middle ground. one moment you'll have one of the better bartenders you've ever had (i believe mike and joe are their names) then at shift change you'll have one treating you like an asshole for asking to get the menu item you actually ordred. The good bartenders I had were some of the best around but they aren't worth the lottery you play coming in here.
google avatar

Sierra P.

Yelp
This place has the biggest variety of cider I've ever seen. They serve local and exotic ciders. The staff is friendly, but they definitely favor young single ladies. Huge place with a great outside lounging area.

Greg L.

Yelp
What a fun place, great outdoor seating, quick service, and great drinks. Try the frozen margaritas they are amazing.

Yelp
LIVELY!!! Dots is a great spot to start your night out in Deep Ellum! Pull up a chair or grab a table on outdoor patio. Drinks AND food, everything you need for a good night out.

Yelp
Me and my coworkers went to this location after work Tuesday night the 13th of February we arrived after 11 and began ordering drinks but me and my boyfriend decided water would be okay. After thirty minutes of hanging out and sitting, one of the employees came up to our table snatched our water bottle that we brought from outside. He explained they dont accept outside liquid. We were of course confused due to the water bottle being nearly empty but we understood and by that point he already threw the bottle away, he gave us no chance to atleast put it back into our car or anything since he already grabbed the drink from our table. Barely a minute passes by and the worker comes by again asking for my boyfriends id specifically. He did not ID anyone else as we were ordering drinks and my boyfriend was not near the bar at all. He kept berating my boyfriend for his id with no explanation and we felt targeted as no one else was asked for their ID. We noticed the worker appeared to be drunk the second time he came around as he was causing a scene around my coworkers. We told him due to us coming from our job we weren't carrying all our belongings so we would leave, we turned to our coworkers and started to say goodbye, this man wouldnt give us personal space as we tried to leave the facility as he kept following us. This is entirely disrespectful and self entitlement from this worker. Its disgusting to see how we are treated over an altercation. We had no issue with this man despite his behavior and actions. This facility was not the best and as ive been to bars close to bishop arts, lower greenville and in deep ellum , ive never been in such an uncomfortable situation . The atmosphere of the place was definitely taking a toll on the workers it seemed.

Yelp
ordered: Cucumber Margarita Lemonberry mule Three of us were visiting Dallas for a girl's weekend and we popped into Dot's for some drinks Saturday night. The bar inside was weirdly near empty at 10pm. After bellying up to said empty bar and ordering a drink each, we realized there was a MASSIVE courtyard space outside and made the connection. It's such a cool atmosphere, and the cucumber marg (made with vodka...?) was our favorite.
google avatar

Yelp
Love their patio!! Great for afternoon drinks even in this time of transition from Covid-19 lockdown. All staff were wearing masks but customers were free to remove and enjoy the weather on the patio. I recommend the sweet potato tots.

Thomas M.

Yelp
Everything on the menu is delicious. It's a great vibe here. Tons of brews on tap. Get the duck fries. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Came here after several recommendations from my Yelp friends. I arrived with a kitten I am fostering and unfortunately I couldnt sit inside and yes, it is the middle of August and crazy hot. So, I went out to their patio that thank God has a huge fan as the heat is thick and unbearable (once the fall hits this will be the place to be!) Everyone came out of idk where to see the kitten I had brought. Everyone was loving on him including the servers and they apologized for not being able to let me inside. They let me try a couple of beers and I decided on the Trinity cider sideboob and a cup of chili. The chili was super delicious and unique as it had a green Chile base with chunks of pork. I never have had anything like it and I was super impressed. The pork was a little tough though and could stand to be cooked a little bit longer, but other than that it had a great flavor. I was also super impressed by the 65 beers they have on tap and their signature cocktails. I will definitely be back when I am out this way! Great place to get a cocktail or beer and just chill!

Yelp
The only reason I am not giving this place a 1 star is the Avocado Toast Baguette was great. The tomatoes were fresh and just the right amount of balsamic. The rest of our experience was beyond terrible. The service is well below sub par. They do not attend or pay attention to you if you sit on the patio. We got up multiple times to get our own water, silverware, and extra sauces we had requested from our waiter. We would wait about 5-10 minutes and she would come out with nothing we had asked her and not even pay attention to us. As for the food, mediocre at best. My friend had the voodoo chili which is hyped to be spicy which has no kick at all (to be fair, our waitress did pass this info on it not being spicy as the name leads on). The sweet potato tots were extremely mushy and the sauce that comes with it, not good. The side house salad is hard to mess up. The grilled vegetable side is only brussel sprouts, something they should warn ppl about. Our waitress did at least mention it has bacon bits. The sitting area outside is nice, especially as the days are giving us some good patio weather before the scorching heat. However, the service is beyond slow and the food is subpar. If you have all the time in the world and want to go for a drink there, it's doable. Just know that when you still have 3/4 to 1/2 a drink left, order your next so you don't have to wait for a while after finishing.
google avatar

Clara S.

Yelp
Margarita was on the sweeter side, but the loaded fries were sooo scrumptious and everything you need in heavy bar food. Chips and salsa were tasty too! Great place to get drinks with friends.
google avatar

Diana V.

Yelp
I actually come here a lot and have fun with my friends. The space is great for eating outside with your dog; it's a great atmosphere! However, every time I come here, the service is consistently pretty terrible. The staff are nice enough, but I'm pretty sure this place doesn't have enough people working there. I only saw 2 waitresses on a Friday night. We had to ask multiple times for drinks, silverware, and our checks. My waitress was really nice, but I could tell she was overwhelmed. I got the chicken strips for the first time and they were pretty bad. Don't recommend. The chicken sandwich and the cheese fries are stellar though! My favorite drinks are the Larry Chimade and the strawberry lemonade. I love fruity drinks that don't taste like alcohol, and these are great. My friends always love the beer selection too. Overall I keep coming here but my service is what keeps me from having a 5 star experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome for groups! We came here for brunch after my birthday and ordered a whole bunch of food. Perfect for the cooler weather and so causal cute. Food shoutout: Breakfast Schmitz Burger My absolute FAVORITE was the Breakfast Schmitz Burger (not to be mistaken with the Schmitz Club Burger). Seriously, GET IT. 50/50 sausage/ground beef, tomato jam, bacon, fried onions, sunny side up egg on a biscuit with potatoes. Your arteries might hate you, but it's well worth it. Drink shoutout: Dot's the 46; Peanut butter Coffee Jitters Ridiculously amazing creamy cold brew with Skrewball Peanut Butter Whisky Other things that were awesome were the Avocado Toast Bruschetta, American breakfast, and waffle and Bri grilled cheese. Personally, I think the waffle and bri grilled cheese could have used some more texture, so if you order this, add in some crunchy bacon and ask for your waffle to be extra crispy!!
google avatar

Melanie C.

Yelp
Loved the atmosphere at Dot's! It has several different seating areas, each with different vibes. The chandelier area is fancy enough for a special event, and the open courtyard area has a lively beer garden 'vibe' while the indoor bar area is just right if you crave more of a darker and louder space.
google avatar

Lily N.

Yelp
The bouncers I guess, were so funny! We had our laughs and giggles over a word haha. They check IDs before you can enter! It was very empty when we went (Tuesday around midnight) lots of empty seats. They have a big outdoor area and small seatings inside. We sat inside because it was a little chilly for us that night. I got a lemonberry mule with a little less alcohol because I hate tasting the alcohol in my drinks so I prefer to be able to taste it. It was delicious, has to be my second fav drink! We also got a couple of green tea shots and it tasted like you were drinking a soda. The vibe was very nice, definitely will be back for the drinks! My boyfriend got a snake bite and it was okay. It's not what he expected.
google avatar

Jasmine J.

Yelp
I brought my mother-in-law to the beer garden because she loved beer. She said that she enjoyed herself so I'm glad I made a good choice. I wish the restaurant had a larger menu, but the meals we picked were good. She had the grilled cheese and side salad and I had the crab cakes and grilled veggies. My mother-in-law enjoyed her blond beer and I had the lavender hibiscus lemonade. Both drinks were good. All together our meal costed $51 which is pretty reasonable for two entrees and two alcoholic beverages. We enjoyed the ambiance of the patio because it was spacious, good mood lighting, and the crowd was pretty easy going and chill. I would definitely come back.
google avatar

Yelp
Interesting spot in Deep Ellum - I didn't get to try any food but based on their enormous list of beers, I will definitely be back to try more options. I enjoyed the Dream Crusher IPA while my buddy Charles' choice of the Mango Cart was tasty! I applaud this place's hours - open late all week!
google avatar

Jmi R.

Yelp
First time visiting here. Never been to the area but it reminded me a lot of Austin! The outdoor patio is awesome, heaters for when it's cold and I'm sure during the weekends it is the go to place. Over a hundred beers on tap, good food and great atmosphere and dog friendly! Definitely did not expect Dallas to have a place like this but I enjoyed it a lot. Since it was my last night in Dallas I had to try their most appetizing item on the menu..the F Philly cheesesteak. This was a monstrous meal for one. Jalapeño Waffle with a steak and fries with queso and more queso, green and red peppers. This was delicious as it was filling! Definitely stop by if in the area for cold beer and some eats

Yelp
This place looked kinda neat from the photos and from the outside. Both time we've been it has been CRAMMED inside, so obviously they are appealing to a good amount of people. When the inside of the bar is full, it is 100% impossible to have a conversation.. it feels like you are in Uptown.. lots of trendy beautiful people screaming across a bar at each other over the other screaming conversations going on. The drinks are okay, they have a tasty old fashioned on tap, but I can get a good old-fashioned at a lot of places. 2 out of the 3 people in our group that placed orders with the bartender had a bad experience. He was rude and condescending. Zero patience for new people who aren't familiar with their menu. One comment was just for the sake of being a jerk to someone mis-speaking. I think their patio is really cool, that's probably the best place to enjoy this place when the weather is nice. Sitting inside is just terrible. Places like this opening in Deep Ellum are attracting a certain crowd, nothing like the grungy, music scene looking people I'm used to. Lots of tanning bed frequenters, rompers, and flat billed hats. More power to the people that are into this kind of place, I'll stick to the dive bars.
google avatar

Ula J.

Yelp
They are not being greedy with liquors in cocktails. My friends and I were drunk after one whiskey and cola (never happened in any bar before). Love the outdoor seating area. My favorite spot in Deep Ellum
google avatar

Jason G.

Yelp
The Club Schmitz Burger is the reason I ventured to this bar. Now that Off Site Kitchen has departed, taking with it my favorite cheeseburger, I was on a hunt for a new favorite. Dot's doesn't have the same crusty atmosphere as the original Club Schmitz, but perhaps that's not all bad. The burger was a four star and the fries, omg, the fries...they are five stars! These are the best fries in Dallas! So I will definitely return again soon!
google avatar

Yelp
Service 3/5 Environment 4/5 Food/drink 3/5 This is one of those places that is definitely worth visiting at least once but not the best place to hang out weekly. It can get pretty busy/loud but where else can you find a giant outdoor chandelier?! There is both an indoor and outdoor area, which I would imagine to be perfect in the fall.

Yelp
99 types of beer on tap! Dots is a beer lovers dream. It is amazing to see nearly 100 nozzles perturbing from the wall behind the bar, knowing on the other side of the wall there are just as many kegs. That's right, they have 99 beer taps. The space is huge and the patio is reminiscent of an East Texas backyard. However, they have the most beautiful chandelier hanging. Ummmm I need that in my house. When you walk in, a guy at the door scans your drivers license and your age pop up in huge font, ummm excuse you sir lol The Bar Tender (Collin) is really cool and make sure you have everything you need. Food Review: French Fries - had cut thick fries that taste more like bland potato skins than fries. I tried hot sauce, ranch, salt and nothing could revive those flat lined fries Cheeseburger - average at best. The meat was thick, the cheese was evenly melted and it was juicy enough that no condiments were needed (yahoo, spare me a calorie or two). The bread had a British flare to it as if it was UK inspired. Overall, this is a cool place. I'll go back but not on purpose. ‍

Yelp
I checked this place out late on Saturday afternoon with a friend. We sat outside at the end of one of the community picnic tables. There is a lot of outdoor seating, which I was nice. And the HUGE outdoor chandelier is so beautiful! I bet the overhead lights really add a cool touch in the evenings. This place has about 100 beers on tap, something for everyone! I ordered a summer seasonal draft that I very much enjoyed. I believe they also have mixed drinks if you're not a beer person. The food menu is pretty limited, but we did enjoy some chips served with yummy queso and 2 types of salsa. I liked the chill vibe of this outdoor space, and I'm sure the inside bar is nice as well. I will be returning to try more beers in the future!

Yelp
Dot's is so cool. Maybe too cool, but I don't even care. AMAZING selection of beers on tap. I'm not kidding. It's more than I've ever seen. So many TX beers. (I don't live in Texas anymore - Nashville transplant - so finding Texas beers that I used to enjoy is really important to me. They had my all time favorite IPA - Lone Pint's Yellow Rose - so I was sold on this bar right away.) The inside of the bar is cool, but the outside patio is even cooler. Huge chandelier hanging outside, murals, Dallas-themed stained glass...it honestly couldn't be cooler. Downsides? Crowded (everyone else thinks it's cool too, and there were no tables outside, but we were able to find a table inside - but then we just stood outside, because it was just too cool, and the weather was kind of nice!). And it's so cool that I felt uncool. But their beers are insane. And it's cool. (I know I've said the word "cool" a million times in this review, but that's how cool this place is.) Go try it out. You'll either fit right in because you're cool or you'll realize that you're not as cool as you thought.

Yelp
This place has a great selection of beers on tap. There is a lot of space inside and out (and dogs are allowed outside!). My Ace Pineapple Cider (#42) was spot on, perfect for a hot day, sharp in flavor but not overly sweet. 4 stars.

Yelp
I usually come to dots hop house for the patio ambience and the great selection of craft beers, but today I tried the brunch and it was awesome. I tried the brie waffle grilled cheese and it was pretty tasty. It came with a blueberry compote, breakfast potatoes, and a whistle pig syrup. It was light, fluffy, and packed with flavors. Potatoes were cooked crispy and well and I highly reccomend it.

Yelp
My friend and I came here for a quick drink, but ended up loving the vibe so much that we stayed to watch 1.5 games in the NFL divisional round. The beer is good and the duck fat cheese fries are better (seriously they must be deep fried in lard or something, SO good). The bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely go back!

Yelp
Their courtyard is amazing. Beautiful lights, art and heaters! They have a huuuuuge draft beer/cider selection. They serve their full food menu until 11pm. I love tortilla soup and have to try it whenever I see it on a menu. Got their Chili Ancho Chicken Tortilla soup, it was amazing, up there with my top 3 favorite. You have to request avocados and cheese, and it costs extra, but they give you a good portion of both so it's worth it. My friend got the duck fat cheese fries... it is definitely Not portioned for a single person. You need at least 4 people to put those down... he tried though. I just saw on their menu that they serve house made corn dogs (with a Luscher's jalapeño cheese sausage) And their chicken tortilla soup on their late night menu, 11pm to close.

Yelp
First time at Dot's was at the anniversary party. We had brunch and drinks. There was live music and live screen printing for T-shirt's. Obviously it was very busy but we were able to secure a booth near the stage and really enjoyed the two performances we saw. Our waitress was extremely busy but she was very nice and very prompt even though she had so much going on. I would say the food was pretty typical bar/brunch food. I had an omelette and fruit and I tried a cider and a poinsettia. The poinsettia was my favorite! Let me reiterate how awesome our waitress was! She even got me and off menu side of fruit instead of bread of hash browns which was really nice. We also go free screen printed tees at the event. With an extensive beer list, cool outdoor space, cozy indoor space, and huge TVs for game watching, you can't really go wrong at Dot's.

Yelp
