A couple of weeks ago I had family come in from out of town to celebrate a birthday. We were super excited to come here since we all enjoyed their food. However, I arrived at the restaurant a few minutes after everyone had ordered their drinks, and waited for about 15 minutes before our waitress came to the table. When she walked up to our table, I was about to ask for water, and she immediately asked for our food order. After ordering our food, I was then able to ask for a drink. Once she took everyone's order, she went and put it into the system, and then stood there for a good 10 minutes on her phone/talking with co-workers. Keep in mind, that I still had not been brought my water yet. A few short minutes later, she finally brought me my water, which was then followed by everyone's food. I have always enjoyed Double Dogs, however, I had never experienced anything like this with waitresses/waiters.
Overall, I think the company needs to make sure their waitresses and waiters aren't playing on their phones on the clock. I noticed it with a few other workers as well, which was very visible to anyone sitting in the restaurant. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry, I understand we all have lives and things going on, but don't let it interfere with work, and don't let it leave a bad impression on customers.
