Kinda disappointed when we visited this popular spot truthfully. The restaurant was very crowded, as expected on a Saturday with football on. The wait was about 10 minutes. We were seated at a tall-top table. It was dirty so I kept a napkin under my spot so I didn't get sticky. When she brought our food out, I was already having problems overcoming the metal smell of the table, I felt as if I was eating off a dirty copper penny.. but the smell never left. I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger that I may have seen one or 2 mushrooms. Had to hunt down more ketchup as always, and fries were ok, but honestly nothing really exciting or impressive about the food or menu. I went to the ladies room, which had no soap. I tried to tell our waitress, but she really didn't seem interested. I'll give it an ok rating, but probably won't visit again.

We went to Double Dogs on a Tuesday evening around 6:00 p.m..We were able to be seated right away. Our server was very attentive, and since we knew what we wanted we were able to order rather quickly. For myself, I got the Big John Burger hot dog combination sandwich. It is a double cheeseburger and a chili cheese dog combined. Absolutely delightful and way more food than I should have eaten. The other person in my party got the breakfast hot dog which has to fried eggs on top of it. And the french fries at Double dogs are always amazing. A shoestring style french fry cooked perfection. The atmosphere is that of a sports bar with many televisions showing many different sports. There are high top tables and standard size tables based on your desires. Great place to go and eat with a small group.

Google
I had an appetizing lunch at Double Dogs on Kingston Pike in Knoxville this Monday! I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with French fries and it was absolutely delicious. The Grilled Chicken was juicy and flavorful and the French fries were very crispy. Highly recommended and looking for a great meal in Knoxville! The service was fast and friendly, making experience even better. The atmosphere was relaxed with several TVs, showing all the latest sports. Double Dogs is a casual restaurant and an excellent choice to eat with friends or family restaurants, clean modern and welcoming. If you’re in the area this is a must try! A great choice for lunch or dinner. I’ll definitely be back Highly recommended. 105 A+

It was the first time we ate here, and it was fantastic. The waitress she was awesome. She was so nice and she was sweet and we just love. The food was great and the next time we go, I'm going to bring my German Shepherd. I don't really remember the name of the waitress we had but she had like short black hair with bangs. She was super nice.Thank you for the excellent service! My mom and I ordered the same thing. We got the blue cheeseburger and fries and they had malted vinegar. Oh my gosh, it was great. I am so glad that we stopped there

Google
First time at this location. I have been wanting to try the stroganoff Mac n’ cheese. It did not disappoint. The tender sliced beef, roasted crimini mushrooms, caramelized onions, beef au jus, provolone cheese, sour cream was very delicious with the Mac & cheese. It all blended very well. Very filling so took leftovers home. Will definitely be trying it again.

Google
We were not impressed with this place. The onions were the best thing of the night; they were good! But everything else definitely didn't meet our expectations. First off they used small regular ice chips that would be found in fountain drinks in both my old fashion and whiskey sour drinks. That ice should NEVER be used in an alcohol drink like that! Secondly I ordered the mushroom swiss burger- when I order anything mushroom swiss, I expect a good melting gooey mushroom swiss mix. This very sad looking burger had small chopped bits of mushrooms (which had a distinct strong mushroom smell to them that told me they were mushrooms nearing their expiration) and a small sad looking piece of swiss cheese that was barely melted. The Mayo looked like it was just a quick small swipe on the bun, and the burger was so small, flat and sad looking that it didn't even fill the bun. Everything else we ordered was mediocre at best. The waitress was average- not friendly, not rude, but she was good at keeping my husband's drink refilled and picking up the empty plates so that our table remained clean and clear which is why I gave the service a 3 star. We really had such high hopes for this place but instead we were both highly disappointed.

Google
My first and only experience was great the atmosphere was cool! The service was first class, fast and very friendly. Management very professional and engaging. The food specifically the hand-breaded chicken tenders were out of this world, tossed in a sauce of your choice. I will be back and next time I will be eating on the patio.

Google
Double dogs never fails to impress me! We ate at the Bar outside! Awesome Jalapeño Burger and fries!

Yelp
A friend was 'hounding' me about trying this place so I told him I would 'fur sure' give it a try. I enjoyed the sausage queso appetizer, though it tasted more like a gravy dish than an actual queso. The Philly steak sandwich was decent and portioned well, but didn't have anything memorable about it. I heard they are known for their hot dogs and my friend simply ordered 2 plain hot dogs and was charged $12, so I didn't see the allure there. If your 'dogs are barking' for a sports bar, Double Dogs should be fine.

Yelp
After a long gameday we wanted something easy but delicious so Double Dogs it was. Shout out to our server Cameron for being so attentive and great. We split some wings which were just right as well as some spicy cheese bread. You don't come here for super fancy dining you come here for the cold beer, environment full of TVs to watch football, and solid wings. Never disappointed here

Yelp
Been coming here since they opened occasionally, but overall service has declined on my last few visit. Takes forever to get you food after ordering every visit. Even when simple orders. You can see from previous reviews. We love the place and quality of burgers and dogs. But several times in a row just makes me not come back as often. In order a chili dog that comes pre wrapped in aluminum foils that I need to unwrap and apply my chili from a bowl. No big deal. But the aluminum foil is so cheap it sticks to the bun so I have to pick it off before I can eat it. Ordered an appetizer that came out pretty quick then sat for 30-40 minutes waiting on our food. Most of that time waiting on drink refills and finally had to ask someone to go find our server. This was on a Sunday while place only 50% of tables filled.

Yelp
We had our pup with us and it was a pleasant day so we wanted a place that was dog friendly. Double Dogs definitely fit great bill and what a super cute place. We ordered the jalapeño burger with green beans to split and added onion rings. Everything was delicious but the onion rings were disappointing because they weren't hot at all. Our server, Emily N, was awesome! She was very friendly and efficient and checked on us just the right amount of times. We'll definitely return!

Yelp
Overall, we really enjoyed this restaurant but of course the good and bad mix. We went for lunch and skipped appetizers. My daughter loved the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese. My wife did NOT enjoy the Tillamook cheese spread as it seemed to have onions and peppers in it. I thought the chili cheese dog was absolutely delicious but was so doused in chili that I had to eat it with a fork. The fries were awesome as well so that all worked out. My wife and daughter loved the milkshake and found it extremely thick. Almost too much so. Our server was awesome and attentive. She was great. Overall we would certainly come back.

Yelp
Impromptu night out led us to Double Dogs! It's a solid choice for a sports bar with food that's a decent quality! Their double crunch wings are amazing and the dog bowl nachos are top notch. The beer also comes in a large 32oz stein and worth it. It's become a favorite!

Yelp
I have been a regular at Double Dogs for several years, but after my most recent experience, I will not be coming back. I had been at a meeting until about 7 p.m. on a recent evening and decided to stop at Double Dogs for a bite and to watch sports. The bar was typically busy, but nothing beyond the norm for a weekday evening, after sitting for at least 10 minutes, the bartender finally took my drink order and then brought my iced tea. She did not ask if I wanted a spoon or a straw (so that I could stir my tea after adding sweetener). After that, I tried to get her attention so that I could 1) get something to stir my tea with and 2) order some food. After a further 20 minutes of being completely annoyed, I put $2 next to my full (and still unstirred) glass of tea and left. Total time in Double Dogs, over 30 minutes. I went to Abridged on N. Peters/Parkside which had a fairly large bar crowd as well. I was served my beverage within 5 minutes of sitting at the bar at which time they took my dinner order. I was served my food within ten minutes. In addition to the great service, the food quality at Abridged is much higher than Double Dogs.

Yelp
Double Dogs off of Kingston Pike is a great spot for a chill and simple bite! It's a casual setting with American-Grill based food i.e. burgers, sandwiches, salads. The service is very nice but, not overbearing and they're nicely accommodating if you want to sit inside or out. The best part is you can bring your pup!

Yelp
Wings....... Wings.... Wings....Oh and Beer!!!! This is a great sports bar with a cool atmosphere. This place is dog friendly with several four-legged furry pups enjoying the patio. I had the buffalo wings and they were cooked to a great crispiness. The buffalo sauce was tangy and had a great flavor profile. As a self-acclaimed wing snob, I found these wings as being top notch. My wife had the breakfast hang-over burger which consisted with a fried egg on top of the burger. She said it was pretty good but the egg could have been a little runnier for her liking. I did find that when we sat at the bar it was difficult to see all the TV on the walls behind me. The bar has one big TV that faces you while at the bar. The other restaurant walls were plastered with a plethora of TV's making watch numerous different games enjoyable. Definitely next time, I will sit in the restaurant to enjoy the multiple TV's. Looking for solid food, great atmosphere, and great drinks this place hits all the spots.

Yelp
We were in town moving our daughter in at UT. We stayed at the Drury Inn and this was walking distance which was great. Loved the bar continuation to the outside patio. Great sunset while we were there! Our server was friendly. They had a great beer selection. I ordered a shake that was delicious!

Lieu N.

Yelp
Me and my husband stop by here for lunch we ordered the chip and dip / burgers/ steak and green beans/ mac and cheese / and chipotle wings everything was sooooooo goooddd!!!!!!!
google avatar

Sylvia R.

Yelp
Great casual spot for beer and quick bites. Typical bar food, great service and friendly atmosphere with lots of TV's for game day! Not much to choose from with their draft selection, but your brewski will always be ice cold!
google avatar

Yelp
The one thing that Knoxville lacks is a great wings place... Well I think this could become my favorite wings place. It checks all the boxes. The atmosphere is really good. Their facilities are clean. The building is awesome with cool indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was great (Catelyn is a rock star waitress) the crunchy wings are unique and very delicious. My only complaint is the onion rings suck but that is super minor.i really think this place is worthy of a visit.
google avatar

Courtney L.

Yelp
Average bar food place. Chicken fingers are kind of small... you can get bigger ones at Zaxbys tbh. But they came out fresh hot! Wings are decent. Jalepeno cheese sticks had good flavor but lack crunch. Mac and cheese had good flavor, it's worth a try. Service was great!
google avatar

Ken S.

Yelp
I really liked it - and that would be upgraded to "loved it" with one or two more dark beers on the menu. Even from the outside, I knew I would like the place. Inside, with all the TVs and wall-to-wall Vols fans in orange, it was a great environment! Our server Rejanae was nice and made her job look easy (and I know it's not). What blew me away though was the nachos served in a dog bowl. As soon as I saw them, I knew I had to get my own. I did, and they were good. A very enjoyable visit.

Chris H.

Yelp
Fun place to eat and hang out! The atmosphere is great, open, and TVs everywhere to watch the big games! The burger and fries are a must, and hotdogs are not far behind. My girl gets the pizza and will tell u it's a must. Love Double Dogs, go check it out!

Yelp
I had my first date of my last marriage at the Hardin Valley Double Dog's location on January 19th 2020 and we celebrate that yearly by revisiting and ordering the same items. Well fast forward to today, my wife is out of town and I decided to visit the other location on Kingston Pike and make the same order. Well maybe I jinxed it, or maybe this location just screwed it up. I arrived at 2:06 pm by myself. The restaurant was still pretty full of people. I was seated quickly. But it took nearly ten minutes to see a server. When they finally showed up I ordered my drink which was delivered promptly but not full. Twenty minutes later and my food arrived, half cold I might add. I ordered a Bo burger with pepper jack cheese and onion rings for the side. Let me just say that was no pepper jack cheese I have ever seen. It was more in line with some cheapish Kroger American white spicy cheese they keep for school lunches. The onion rings in which I came in for were luke warm and nothing like what I have had in the past with double Dogs!

Yelp
Always great, food is fun. Drink choices are good, people are nice, love the patio layout and all around good hangout place! Bar tender is a great gal.

Jeremy N.

Yelp
Always a good time at Double Dogs! Staff is friendly and always checking on on patrons. Would recommend to others!
google avatar

Mike C.

Yelp
The atmosphere was fun with all the TVs. The management team was a little short with us. We had a party of 8 and they had a hard time finding us seats. The service was excellent. The wings and fried pickles was yummy.

Mark C.

Yelp
Ordered carry out for lunch. Good chili, cheese, onion dog. Had to assemble at home-=no problem. Fries were average and they kept them warm until I arrived. Nice interior with lots of tvs. Looks like a sports bar with a typical bar food menu. Thought it was going to be a hotdog specialty grill based on the name. A cajun dog would be a nice addition. I would recommend their chili/ cheese / onion dog.
google avatar

Buck S.

Yelp
Pretty average everything. Nothing outstanding. Chicken fingers and fries was what you would expect. Sports bar atmosphere. Beer is a little higher priced than I would like. Service was average as well. Nothing bad, nothing great.
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty nice place , good was great had the chicken pot pie which was phenomenal had great flavor enjoyed everything about it. Daughter had hot dogs and fries and the fries were some of the best I've had at a restraunt anywhere .....only hiccup we had while there was the boy ordered grilled chicken tenders , he wasn't eating them I asked what's up he said they tasted bad , no seasoning didn't seem cooked.. talked to server she apologized and returned with a fresh order of regular breaded strips that were delicious. Our server was great very polite and overall just a nice young lady .....I would recommend a visit here if your near Knoxville
google avatar

Trinity E.

Yelp
For a burger and hot dog place i had higher expectations for their burgers... maybe i should have went with the hotdog. The fries were good and we did have excellent customer service. If you like sports then this is the place for you they had a wall of tv screens so you could watch a variety of games.,., even one. In the ladies bathroom.

Kimmberly T.

Yelp
$2/wing or an $11 hot dog. I opted for the wings. They were literally burnt with no seasoning whatsoever. Inedible. My second time giving this place a go since it's next door to my chiropractor, but I won't be doing it again.
google avatar

Chad B.

Yelp
Great food and service at the bar! Would definitely head here again! The chili cheese dog was amazing!

Yelp
A couple of weeks ago I had family come in from out of town to celebrate a birthday. We were super excited to come here since we all enjoyed their food. However, I arrived at the restaurant a few minutes after everyone had ordered their drinks, and waited for about 15 minutes before our waitress came to the table. When she walked up to our table, I was about to ask for water, and she immediately asked for our food order. After ordering our food, I was then able to ask for a drink. Once she took everyone's order, she went and put it into the system, and then stood there for a good 10 minutes on her phone/talking with co-workers. Keep in mind, that I still had not been brought my water yet. A few short minutes later, she finally brought me my water, which was then followed by everyone's food. I have always enjoyed Double Dogs, however, I had never experienced anything like this with waitresses/waiters. Overall, I think the company needs to make sure their waitresses and waiters aren't playing on their phones on the clock. I noticed it with a few other workers as well, which was very visible to anyone sitting in the restaurant. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry, I understand we all have lives and things going on, but don't let it interfere with work, and don't let it leave a bad impression on customers.
google avatar

Dionne F.

Yelp
Double Dogs has the best dog gone curbside services on the planet. My two son's really enjoyed their famous double dog kids meals with hand cut fries. Our server was Fetch n go f; their house sauce for the hand tossed chicken tenders was good.
google avatar

David T.

Yelp
This place is an awesome eatery. I had the Bo's Dog Bowl Nachos. YES, an ACTUAL DOG BOWL, not used by the dogs I'm hoping. Lol. But OMG AWESOME!! The small container to the left is Italian Sausage, which I'm not fond of so the waitress had them put it to the side. But all in all a great place. The name comes from the owner having two dogs. So, there you go.
google avatar

Mac S.

Yelp
A ballpark dog .... Sorry, (2) dogs for 4.99 is a bargain and they were tasty too. So many items looked so good. I doubled down with a Fried Chicken Salad, and that was delicious too. I will return, the next time I am in town...

Bill M.

Yelp
While it gives off a sports bar vibe, the food is always good. Ive tried most things on the menu. Even the plain hot dogs are good. The fries are excellent.

Mike K.

Yelp
Great shop. The people are helpful and kind. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a dispensary.
google avatar

Donald R.

Yelp
First time here for my wife and I. The place is BIG, open and airy. An industrial/rustic vibe. We shared the double NY hot dog meal, and we each had a draft beer. We enjoyed our meal. The hot dog was very good, and the one meal was satisfying for two people. The beer was ice cold and came in a VERY heavy mug to keep it that way. Price was reasonable as well. Beer was on the cheap side. The service was excellent. We recommend it. We'll return to sample other items.
google avatar

Tiffany L.

Yelp
The food here was alright. The Buffalo mac n cheese was flavorful but dry. The jalapeño mozzarella was good and interesting, the jalapeño added a bit of Spice to a mozzarella stick and I enjoyed it. The wings and tenders were alright. I found the tenders to be extremely dry and almost tasted kinda powdery from how dry it was. The wings on the other hand were very fatty, which made eating them a little bit difficult and you get tired of eating it after the second wing. The waitress was alright, she was not seen often and often time we had to flag her down to get her to come back for anything we needed.

Yelp
I've been to this restaurant with friends for lunch twice in the past month, and have had an excellent experience each time. The food was delicious (burgers, Hebrew National hot dog, nachos, entree salads, onion rings and mac'n cheese) for the most part. Our only disappointment was the French fries. While all the other food looked like it was made from scratch, the fries looked like they started out frozen and were then undercooked (for two different plates). Still, since French fries are not a deal breaker for me, I'll definitely go back for another meal soon - especially since the service was great both times. I guess we could have complained about the fries and gotten something different (like the super yummy onion rings) but the people who got them didn't really care enough to do so.
google avatar

Brandon P.

Yelp
This place is my low-key new go to spot that does not get too crowded you don't have to deal with salivating men either. the TVs on the wall are very ample easy to view and they even have the Chive channel which is really awesome for not focusing on a game or sport for a few seconds and getting a laugh in. It's constantly running anytime of the day which I highly appreciate. the lunch specials are the bomb.com and the wings and nachos are to die for! I never really gave this place a chance until I came at least two or three times and now it is definitely my Knoxville staple. Go enjoy some food different scenery and decent service. It doesn't really get too crowded even on the big game nights.
google avatar

Richard C.

Yelp
I politely asked the bartender how he made the margarita? I wanted to know if it would be pre mixed with poor tequila etc. He smugly and quite rudely told me his way and it sounded legit, fresh lime juice, top shelf tequila etc. IT WAS THE WORST MARGARITA IVE EVER HAD. And it was served in a glass you'd expect a kid's lemonade to be served in. Not even sure it had any tequila. I'm only posting this because the bartender had such an attitude and clearly, apparently has never had a real margarita.
google avatar

Mark L.

Yelp
Great atmosphere at the new location. Same great food, service was awesome. Tip: try the Chili Cheese Fries and / or the Tennessee Carbonara! Cheers!

Susan D.

Yelp
Worst Hot Dog ever.... $29.00 for 2... go to Costco for a great Hot Dog$1.50. don't waste your money!!!!

Yelp
If you want bar food, this is one of the better places in West knoxville. It will compete with Carolina Ale and K-town tavern. I think it beats both although I do think Carolina Brewery has a better outdoor bar area and superior beer selection. Let's break it down: Atmosphere 3.5 Stars - large high ceiling makes this a loud place when it is full. They do have a really good large tv that is superior to anything I've seen. I like the harden valley feel better. It's smaller and has a more warm feeling to it Service 3 Stars - not bad just average. I will cut them some slack because it's a brand new restaurant. Really nice server, just didn't know much about the menu. I'm sure it'll get better. Food 4 stars - for barfood I thought they did an above average job. I had the hotdogs and fries, and it was very good. Value 4 Stars - again, above average. Bro I would give this a solid three stars. If I am going to have this kind of food, this is the place I would go. I just don't eat like this that often.
google avatar

L A.

Yelp
We have been to this location twice and each time enjoyed it. Their food is delicious. We've tried appetizers and a number of meals between the family ordering. The staff is always nice. Good selection of sports on the TVs. Overall just a great eating experience. When in the area it's something we will definitely be going back to as a treat.

Yelp
My wife and I dropped in on Double Dogs (Kingston Pike) on a Tuesday night. My 1st impression is a sports bar with food. Formerly Rafferty's filled this space and now redone by the parent company of Rafferty's for a better financial margin. I was bummed when I heard that Rafferty's would close, as they had several dishes I liked, so I had to try out this new spot to compare. The service was excellent and fast. The beer was cold and served in iced mugs so all good. Lots of large TV's and lots of sports and all of that was OK with me. The food was much better than average and tasted better than it looked. My wife ordered the Hickory Smokehouse Burger with onion rings. The burger tasted Smokey and was well spiced. A good burger but not at the level of Stock and Barrel but better than Red Robin and Culver's. The onion rings were homemade and crisp. I had the Spicy Buffalo Chicken Salad which was excellent and reminded me of the Rafferty's Buffalo Chicken Salad and the honey mustard dressing was homemade as well and light and very tasty. This a nice chain restaurant and much better food than what one expect from a sports bar.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this place, but it's just typical bar food. I splurged on the chili dog which was $12 because I thought it would be something flavorful, but it was nothing special. I can make a better chili dog at home for a cheaper price. I liked the consistency of the fries, though they could also use some more flavor. The best part of my meal was the moose tracks milkshake- it was GREAT!

Smoothie T.

Yelp
Service was good and fast overall, BUT! I ordered the (buffalo chicken Mac n' cheese) thinking it was going to be ok at best but surprisingly I received the most breathing assortment ingredients mixed together I have ever laid eyes on, it was so good that If I was sentenced to death row this would be my last meal that I would ask for 10/10

Jim L.

Yelp
My family eats here weekly and have always had great service. Today was terrible! I'm a very easy person to wait on. Basically get order correct and keep drink full. Chicken fingers were dry and everytime I looked up my waitress (Andrea M.) was busy on her cell phone and I constantly waited on refills, to go box....pay too much for poor service. So probably my last time here!
google avatar

Jordan M.

Yelp
This place is really cool and I loved the atmosphere. Outside dining was perfect. Waiter was very friendly and easy going. Didn't pressure us at all. I ordered the spicy chicken buffalo Mac n Cheese and holy cow was that good. Best spicy Mac and cheese I've ever had, hands down. It was very creamy and it had a nice kick to it, if you're into hot food. We also ordered the queso, pico de Gallo and chips for our appetizer and the queso was delicious. If you're looking for an easy going and cool place to try, I would definitely try this spot.

Yelp
Hubby and I went on a Sunday afternoon. $3 mimosa & bloody Mary's till 3pm, both were yummy! Great tap beer selection. We sat at the bar and the bartender, Heather was great! He got a burger with no bun and slaw; I got the nachos, both were great! I love the Italian sausage they add to the nachos, gives you a nice little surprise. Love the atmosphere here, especially sitting at the outside bar section.

Yelp
Visited Double Dogs on Hardin valley road in Knoxville with a friend Tuesday. Place was clean and seemed like a great place to watch a game and have a few beers etc. But really need to change their name. I Ordered to basic dogs with Relish and Onions, Mustard. WOW, it arrives on a plate with Two dogs wrapped in Tinfoil at best barley Lukewarm, a small cup with Relish and one with Onions. The mustard at the table was empty. I guess they put the dog in the bun wrapped in Tinfoil a few days earlier. Some may think this is a good Hotdog. But I ate a few bites after putting the fixing on myself and getting the mustard of the table beside us. Never unwrapped the 2nd one. I've had Dogs all over the country, but This Hotdog could not even stand up beside a pack of Hotdogs and buns from Aldi's with a .89 can of Castleberry Chili. This place looks to be a nice place to watch a game but with the name Double dogs, they really need to learn how Dogs are to be made. I did not try anything else on the Menu but most likely never will.

Yelp
I love this place! Some friends recommended it while I was in Knoxville on business. Great atmosphere, amazing energy and A LOT OF TVs. :) Add in the amazing food and menu choices and you have a winner!!! Will definitely be back while in town and look for more when I am traveling, thank you!!
