Cozy atmosphere and very spacious interior. They had a bingo game going on with fun prizes. Not too crowded on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered the margarita and salami pizzas, and they had the perfect thin crust and high quality toppings. Service was fast and the staff were nice. We also ordered the spring mix salad with feta cheese which was a nice palette cleanser. They have clean and accessible bathrooms.

Great Drinks, Tasty Snacks, and a Fun Atmosphere! While running errands in Hood River, we stopped at Double Mountain Brewery for a quick snack and drink. I was pleasantly surprised by their great selection of ciders, and the iced cider was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the loaded pretzel knots, which came topped with beer cheese, sour cream, green onions, and jalapeños—they were so good they disappeared in seconds! The staff, from the hostess to the waitress, was friendly and welcoming. The brewery itself is spacious, with plenty of seating and cool chalkboard art showcasing the beers they have had on tap over the years. They also have live music in the evenings, making it a great spot to hang out. I’ll definitely be back.

If you’re ever in Hood River and looking for a cozy, welcoming spot for lunch, look no further than this absolute gem of a restaurant. Tucked into the charming downtown, this place has everything you’d want in a laid-back, feel-good dining experience: warm ambiance, friendly staff, and most importantly—incredible food. We stopped in for lunch on a whim, and honestly, we couldn’t have made a better choice. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with a relaxed, homey vibe—wooden tables, soft lighting, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while. The staff was super friendly, making us feel right at home without being overbearing. Now, let’s talk about the pizza—because WOW. We ordered the margarita and sausage pizza, and it was nothing short of amazing. The crust was that perfect balance of crispy and chewy, with just the right amount of char from the oven. The margarita pizza had a fresh, vibrant tomato sauce, gooey mozzarella, and just the right touch of basil to give it that classic Italian flavor. The sausage pizza? Next level. The sausage was flavorful and slightly spicy, pairing beautifully with the melty cheese and rich sauce. Every bite was packed with flavor, and before we knew it, the whole thing was gone. But what really made this lunch unforgettable was the guy with the crazy hat. We ended up playing a game with him—totally unexpected but so much fun. He had this wild, colorful hat that looked like something out of a fantasy novel, and he was just radiating good vibes. It’s not every day you get to enjoy incredible pizza while sharing laughs with a total stranger in an epic hat. Honestly, this place is a must-visit if you’re in Hood River. Whether you’re craving a fantastic pizza, looking for a cozy spot to relax, or just hoping for a fun, unexpected experience, you’ll find it here. Five stars, no question—can’t wait to come back!

We went to the overlook location on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The music was flowing, the people were kind, and the food was delicious. We got the meatball sub that was a little spicy, but full of melty cheese, and on the best, perfectly crispy roll. The Caesar salad was insanely good, with just a few too many croutons. The kids cheese pizza was perfect, and the garlic chicken pizza had the best extra touch of fresh thyme. With a great selection of beer, ciders, and cocktails, this place is a gem. Sorry the photos aren’t the best because we ate before we took them.

We were coming back from Portland. Took a detour because of road work ended up at this Restaurant. We picked it because it was Dog Friendly. We walked up just as a wonderful lady was coming out the door. You need a table the dogs got a fresh bowl of water! Food was awesome service was great. Being a business owner every employee that walked by made sure you were ok! They have done an excellent job teaching their employees how to take care of their customers.

As an Italian on holiday in the US, what can I say about this pizza...well, it was awesome. Crispy as it should be, excellent ingredients, it was a surprise. Not to talk about their beers, they were really stunning. Service, good, maybe a little "too fast" for us Europeans, but that's ok, I understand that's the US style. Prices? Not cheap for us compared to our standards, but as I say as usual, that's price to pay if you want to hang around the planet. Well done guys.

Our first time at DM and Hood River; my son works here. Popular with the locals, for sure. We were there for a St. Patrick's Day dinner--all three of us had the Paddy Special, corned beef sandwich with cabbage on marbled rye bread. Delish!! As were the porters we consumed :)

Stopped by on the way to the polar express for some lunch on a recommendation. Able to accommodate our group of 12 quickly. We had the salami pizza but added onion. It was very good. Perfect crust, and flavor. I’m not sure I would have liked it as much without the onion as far as flavor but that’s a personal preference. Good service. Mom had a Reuben which she really enjoyed. The pretzel bites were 3.5/5. They came out piping hot. Would come back for the pizza!

Yelp
Double mountain is one of my favorite pizza places in the gorge! They offer gluten free choices and cider which are all tasty and delicious. They have a handful of beer on tap to choose from too. I'd recommend checking them out if you are craving pizza!

Dave B.

Yelp
Despite a full restaurant, we were seated immediately! We ordered the Cider Flight- which is a predetermined selection of 5 ciders. All 5 ciders had unique flavor profiles, but we both preferred the Lil Ice the best. We split an order of Pretzel Bites- which were served warm with buttery crusts & just the right amount of salt! The dipping mustard & cheese sauce were amazing! We also split the Grilled Tuna which was a grown-up tuna sandwich! It had fresh arugula, tasty pickled red onions, & a nice tuna patty served on a perfect ciabatta roll. We also shared the Irish Stout Brownie which was a wonderful, warm, dense brownie served under a generous scoop of ice cream. We would definitely eat here again!

Yelp
Service=6.2 not real busy, but service was ok. Salad=6.3 nice size, but basic. Beer=6.9 Pizza=7.9 great pizza, crust was very close to New Haven style. Sauce was tasty, but a little lite. Cheese was good, a little greasy. Overall the best pizza I've had outside PDX. Will definitely return every time in Hood River.

Christie B.

Yelp
Our food was delicious! The peppers on the pizza added a little extra flavor and crunch! We sat outside, the kids could move around and were not confined to sitting in one spot and that was nice. We came to Hood River for a couple of days and we will definitely be back if we are ever in the area.

Emily B.

Yelp
Excellent pizza! We got the salami pie with white sauce and it was phenomenal! The crust is perfection. The caesar salad was tasty, the cheesy break was divine and the mezze platter was great (yummy hummus). The beers are also excellent. This is a very great brewery that doesn't get nearly enough recognition!

Jeanie N.

Yelp
Give me more of that truffle shuffle!!! I don't drink but I know a good pizza place when I smell one. Loved the pizzas here. We got the truffle shuffle that had thick cut mushrooms, cheesy goodness and truffle oil. The heirloom tomato had thick slices of tomatoes hugged by pesto under a blanket of cheese. Then this meaty pizza was all the goodness we liked with a lil mama's pepper kick. Crispy pizza, great crust. Worth every single carb.

Jessica S.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best breweries I've ever been to with the best beer and food! We ventured here several times during our time in Hood River. I wish they had the hop lion up here in Seattle on tap! I tried the mezza platter for an app to go with my beers and it was perfect! Exactly what I was needing with the crunch and freshness of the veggies. The pizza is perfect! Cooked nicely with a little char, my favorite! Of course I had to leave with some merch and got a couple of stickers and a shirt.

Chanel T.

Yelp
Their pizza is always the best!!! My husband loves their beer and we always stop by when in hood river! Must see when in the Columbia gorge !

Tara R.

Yelp
Pizza was decent with a hard crust. Pretzels bites barely had salt. Beers and ciders were nothing great. Service was horrible. 3 hostesses that were oblivious to that tables weren't being serviced or helping out in anyway. Server took very long time to ask about drinks and wasn't concerned about refills at all. Isn't somewhere I would go back to.

Jeremy L.

Yelp
Passing through on a road trip and wanted to check out a local brewery with food. This place delivered! We did have to wait a while for a table but glad we were able to entertain the kids long enough to get seated. Beer (5): outstanding! I got a flight to sample their list and all had good body and flavor. Great beers here. Margherita w Pepperoni Pizza (5): Got this for the kids but of course I had to test it out. It was amazing! Truffle Shuffle Pizza (5): They just do pizza really well. This one did have an amazing truffle flavor and the crust and cheese was the perfect comliment. Overall, amazing pizza's and great beer. Worth the wait!

Yelp
we were visiting hood river from out of town and decided to stop here for lunch. we got seated pretty quick. the inside was cute and had some beautiful views. we drank their artisan root beer and ginger ale and both tasted pretty good. we had a mezze platter as an appetizer. it had a good variety of veggies with some good dips. we also had the pepperoni pizza. it was alright, definitely satisfied the craving. it was pretty greasy and the cheese just slipped off.

Natasha M.

Yelp
I'm visiting from out of town and went to Double Mountain for a late night bite. I didn't go inside (because I had my dog with me) and I loved that they had outdoor seating. They had great wooden benches that felt private as well as some picnic tables. Even water bowls for dogs! Service was attentive, quick and the people were very helpful! Lastly, the food was decent! We got the Heirloom Pie & Salami Pie. They had pretty thin crusts (I usually like the thick crust) lots of toppings, and slices were large. Overall, not too shabby!

Nigel W.

Yelp
The pizza here is ridiculously good. You can't go wrong no matter which one you choose (as long as you like the ingredients, of course). Root beer is amazing for any NA drinkers. Really just posting because there aren't any current menu photos I could find easily so hopefully this will get higher in the menu photos.

Alli S.

Yelp
Dad told me he hasn't been out here in 20 or 30 years when he came out for a work trip. Definitely a gorgeous day today so worth coming out to the town. Amazing food Great customer service And amazing waitress who was very kind and helpful with the area since I've never been out here but will definitely recommend to a family member or friend

Richard A.

Yelp
Our group enjoyed a wonderful visit to Double Mountain on 6/23. The beers and cider poured by Andy were incredible. Andy provided excellent customer service and was very knowledgeable of the beers, cider and the local area. It was a pleasure meeting Matt and chatting with him about the wizardry behind the hard cider. Last time I had the pleasure of visit double mountain it was about a third of the size. Double Mountain is crushing the beer, cider and pizza scene in Hood River--cannot wait to come back again soon!

Alexander G.

Yelp
My first brewery visit in Oregon was Double Mountain and it set a high bar for the rest of the trip. Located in beautiful Hood River, there are a few brewery options nearby, plus gorgeous views and plenty of restaurants. This would make a fun weekend on a future trip. Double Mountain is larger than it looks from the outside with bar seating, plus two buildings of indoor seating. They have to-go beer right inside the door, plus colorful menus greeting you. It has open windows for natural light and lots of wood. High top tables give a great view of the street outside. The staff here was welcoming and friendly. We were here for the midpoint of our drive and got flights of beers and lunch. I wish I could've stayed longer as their taplist was long and varied with lots of special releases in a wide array of styles. I also had the tuna melt, which was much needed after a long morning of travel. I loved the quality of the beer; I can see why this place is so popular. I grabbed a bottle of one I missed on the way out and also loved that one later. If you're in the area, this is a wonderful brewery for food, beer, and good times.

Dennis M.

Yelp
Good place in Hood River, OR. I sat the bar. Prompt greeting. I sampled a few bevs from the tap. That turned into a very full cider. That cider led to let's order a small pizza (big enough for 4 peeps). I ate 1/2. Toppings were plentiful. Good vibe and ambiance Highly recommended while in HR

Anthony I.

Yelp
Come for the beer, stay for the pizza, and maybe even some great live music. Had a slew of pizzas here and all were spectacular.

Alex W.

Yelp
Pretty good pizza for Oregon and enjoyed the ambiance here. Also had some solid beers on tap

David T.

Yelp
Good little spot to hang out with some friends. We came here to grab some lunch before the rest of our day and got there as the place opened. Ordered some sandwiches and sat at one of their tables outside to enjoy the view. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The servers came to check on us every so often and made sure we were hydrated, as it was a very hot day. The food was average, but it was solid for the place being a brewery. Will be back when in the Hood River area again.

Amy V.

Yelp
Best pizza ever. The Heirloom tomato pizza was covered in delicious slices of homegrown tomatoes.

Colton F.

Yelp
Visited from Cedar City, UT. Food was great. Our waitress was the best. She was very sweet and kind.

Cori H.

Yelp
visiting hood river from out of town and we decided to go here for NYE! there was live music, friendly staff, and the 'Rudolf' pizza special was sO good! since it was new years we went all out, also had a salad and both the brownie and cookie dessert options with ice cream, i can't remember what the salad was but truly this place doesn't miss. i had heard good things and they did not disappoint. good vibes and nicely decorated place, felt very welcomed and was happy to spend the holiday here

Stephen K.

Yelp
I came to Double Mountain to see The Good Long Whiles (AWESOME Portland band) perform, and I'm happy that I did. Overall, Double Mountain is a great place. The good: *The pizza is respectably good *House-made ginger ale is not overly sweet, and is very refreshing *Staff is SUPER friendly, professional, attentive, and overall great *The establishment is clean and big *Chocolate chip cookies are baked to order *There are two large parking lots nearby, so (paid) parking is pretty easy The not so good: *The stage is sort of in its own area, and there was no seating in that area (until later in the evening, when they set up a bunch of tables there) *They do not take reservations, so getting a seat can be challenging on busy nights *Non-alcoholic beverage selection is extremely limited (e.g. there's no iced tea available) I'll definitely be back for future shows, and am looking forward to the next one.

Bill R.

Yelp
On the second night in Hood River, after a day of hiking the scenic gorge waterfalls, we (as we often do) felt like pizza. Our B&B host recommended the Jersey Pie at Double Mountain. It was amazing. Loved it all and left stuffed. Just the right amount of flavor (lots) and heat/spice (a nice kick).

Macklin M.

Yelp
Stopped by here for a quick beer and pizza and WOW this was a fantastic place! We got the Truffle Shuffle and you will not regret it, it is seriously one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Had two beers and both were equally 5/5, I cannot say enough good about this place. Also the service was great! Samantha (Sam) was our server and she was fast, professional, and made our experience 10x better. Food came out fast and perfectly made, beer was quick and poured perfectly. If you're nearby, STOP BY HERE!

Amy T.

Yelp
The Truffle Shuffle Pizza and Salad #27 are delicious!!! The house made root beer and Margherita pizza were mehhh - I don't recommend. Good service overall, and will visit again soon.

Amy C.

Yelp
Update. Double Mountain GM emailed me to make it right. He also refunded me and is looking into the issue so it doesn't happen again. I have great respect when a restaurant manager apologizes and tries to make it right. Thank you Aaron!

Mieshia N.

Yelp
A nice pizza place! The restaurant has room for group gatherings. It is casual and comfortable. A nice place for families who have children who cannot sit quietly through a meal. Good music. Lots of conversation. Great food.

H G.

Yelp
Great food, but really I'm in love with their ciders. We had a big party (like 12 of us) and everyone there were super hospitable. Will be back for sure.

Kim G.

Yelp
Best pizza in Hood River! Legit NY style thin crust pizza with the perfect chew, topped with high quality ingredients. Reminds me of Apizza Scholls in Portland, which imho is the best pizza in Portland. Having lived in NJ for 40 years, I'm both particular and passionate about pizza. We always get a half Margarita, half pepperoni and split a salad, the Caprese or Cesar. The Caprese has delicious mozzarella and large slices of juicy tomatoes drizzled with olive oil and balsamic. In the summer, this is definitely the way to go! They offer lots of craft beer and it's fun to do the flight to sample and compare several. Hard cider is my preference and I'm happy they always have several on tap. You can purchase beer and cider to go and they do growler fills. This is a super popular spot and in the nice weather, there is a long wait. I tend to visit in off hours as I don't have the patience! Service has always been great, sometimes slow when it's crowded, but that understandable since the pies are all made fresh to order. They are worth waiting for! If pizza isn't your thing, there are lots of other options on the menu. The NJ sub is exactly what it should be, an assortment of Italian meat plus provolone topped with shredded lettuce, tomato, onion, hot peppers, oil & vinegar. Totally hits the spot. They have several other sandwiches and salads on the menu, too. Seating indoors and out with views of the River, legit pizza, craft cider & beer - everything you need while in Hood River.

Sandy R.

Yelp
Beer and food selection is good. We arrived late evening and all options were available.

Robert K.

Yelp
Pretty cool place and awesome beers here. Be careful because these beers pack a punch. If you have a couple you will have a good buzz. They have a wide variety of different beers. I did not eat here but the pizza looks pretty good. The waitress was really nice too. If you sit at the bar make sure you have your vaccination card or else you won't be able to sit at the bar. If you want a killer beer come here.

Brian C.

Yelp
Good beer and great pizza! Really liked the atmosphere and the bartender was cool. Hooked me up with a personal pan pizza and a couple of beers. Everything was real good.

Laura G.

Yelp
Their pizza is delicious!!! Every pizza on the menu sounded amazing but we landed on the Heirloom Tomato pizza. It is a seasonal special that was recommended by the waitress. The pizza had a light touch of basil walnut pesto followed by cheese and loaded with thick sliced locally farmed heirloom tomatoes. It was simple and yet packed an explosion of flavor. The pretzel bites were also delicious but I didn't love the in-house made root beer. It was warm and tasted watered down.

Brent K.

Yelp
FUC......... aaaamaaaazimg pizza in my humble opinion. X2. Had pesto heirloom season pizza. From the amazing crust to the pesto base with ghetto heirloom tomatoes. Three days later pepperoni with added heirlooms. Taste buds were in heaven. Beers are solid too. Top ranked pizzas of my life.

Richard L.

Yelp
First time visit and when I return to the area will definitely visit again. Local brewer - tried their Seven Seconds pale ale and one word - Wonderful! Light, hint of orange flavor and quite refreshing. Oh... don't even get me started on their pizza. Visiting from NY, well we know our pizza. The Margherita style pizza I ordered with half pepperoni, half sausage and all mushroom... WOW! Thin crust, great sauce, right amount of cheese, topped with fresh basil.... Again, WOW! Staffs was friendly and accommodating... highly recommend.

JT T.

Yelp
Very good sandwiches, decent beer. Some limited outdoor tables and lots of tables inside along with a bar. It can get busy so plan ahead if you have a time constraint.

Cassandra A.

Yelp
Came here looking for a quick bite before our train ride. The inside is welcoming and typical of what you'd expect from a brew pub. The employees were all friendly and we were quickly greeted and served. We got the chips, salsa and guacamole appetizer. Nothing special, the guacamole has a very strong lime taste. 3.5/5 I got the 10in truffle shuffle, I wish it had more goat cheese and mushrooms but it was okay. 3.5/5 My friend got the club which was huge and came with potato chips (you could get a salad as well if you wanted.)

Michelle R.

Yelp
We stopped in for drinks only, mid-day on a Thursday. They have some outdoor booths located on what used to be street parking, which are a great outdoor option. Strict COVID protocols in place. A line forms outside until they are ready to seat your party. Friendly staff, very personable, helpful with samples of drink options and had great recommendations. We didn't eat but would have loved to try some of the options.

Christina N.

Yelp
Came here on a holiday weekend and this place was packed! Checked in with the hostess stand for a table outside and while we waited for our table we grabbed some beers from the bar. Pleasantly surprised that our wait was shorter than the quoted time. Our server was prompt and friendly, no complaints on the service at all. We ordered: -Mezze Platter ($13.50) - appetizer plate, solid choice with hummus and pita with feta, olives, etc. -Salami Pie ($29.50) - pizza with salami and mozzarella with a big heap of arugula piled on top. The pizza crust and salami were great but the arugula was a bit overpowering. Wish they had added less and maybe dressed it with balsamic or even some simple olive oil/salt and pepper. The beer selection was fantastic. My favorite was the Jiro Japanese lager. Also note dogs are only allowed outside and that's strictly enforced. Fun stop, I'll definitely be back for a visit next time I'm in Hood River!

Shariee P.

Yelp
Rosey is the absolute 5 star service of what you want coming into a restaurant. Her suggestions were great and so helpful. I feel it's rare when you get service like hers anymore! The pizza was delicious. So delicious. Beer was great too. We will definitely visit again. Side note- Rosey explained the barcode on their to go beers. They pair up the beer with a Spotify playlist. Love this! Cheers!

Kishi M.

Yelp
Decent Pizza and Good Service. Tried two different Pizza's, Truffle Shuffle and Pepperoni. The Pepperoni was very tasty and made well on a thin-crust. You can sit inside or outside. The service was good as well. Location was super convenient. Highly recommend trying the Caprese which is made with Heirloom tomatoes from a nearby farm so is a seasonal item. The tomatoes were WOW... they popped in terms of taste and texture... They don't serve hard liquor which was a little disappointing but decent place to come for a thin crust Pizza...

Joe K.

Yelp
We love this place. The pizza is always good. Get arrugala on it. The Irish stout is one of my favorites.

Cate V.

Yelp
Would give it 0 stars if I could. The service and attitude of every person that worked there was arrogant and rude. I have given this place multiple times to correct and it is ALWAYs bad! Avoid like the plague.

Cole R.

Yelp
Have not been here in 13 years and this is the first time having food. The beer is always phenomenal and the pizza is even better. Sit out front with a fire pit or inside. A to-go/ service window has been added to help restrict over crowding while a beer garden has been added in the parking lot across the street.

Eddie L.

Yelp
food is always amazing. the pizzas are the best in town. tons of craft beers. its cute and cozy inside. service is usually good. great spot to go if youre in town

Roger M.

Yelp
During pandemic eating-out I recommend this is a place to go to sit outside and soak up the sun and feel the strong winds that wind surfers ride in the Columbia River. Hood River is internationally called the windsurfing capital of the world. And Double Mountain brewery is called the hang out for locals and tourists after a day wind surfing the river or hiking and mountain biking the trails in the Columbia River Gorge - which I call the 9th wonder of the world. Pizza is cooked at 700 degrees in a Brick Oven. Crust super thin and not limp like some. Firm and good crunch and well balanced with toppings. Standard or light charr produces a good flavor on the crust. We went with the large Jersey pie with hot capicola, provolone and Mama Lil's peppers. And a pint of Idaho IPA - good brew selection of their own. Delish! We took left overs back to camp but it did not last over night. During Covid times Double Mountain took over the street side and built some really cool cabanas with a picnic table. You can tell a finish carpenter built and finished the wood to perfection. There are planters between cabanas to add to the convivial atmosphere - if sitting outside was not enough. It's social distance safe! Fiendly chat! Awesome service. Pizza & beer great!

Bill C.

Yelp
Late on this review as we visited with a large group in August 2022. We had 8 people and the place was very busy, yet our service was great. Friendly and since no one knew the menu or the brews, we had questions and the server had answers...lots of answers...it was great. I personally got a pizza with my wife and we really enjoyed it (Oregon is not a good pizza state btw). I enjoyed one of their beers and everyone else were commenting on how great their beers tasted. You have multiple beer/food choices in Hood River...I suggest you do not overlook this one!
