Double Scoop Ice Cream Stonecrest

It was delicious 😋 sweet and creamy. I ordered the banana pudding which had bits of vanilla cookies in it and I also had the butter pecan. It was good.

Awesome place! Customer services is amazing as well as the variety of flavors. I even met the owners with my family and they were so nice and inspiring for the little ones. Strawberry cheesecake and Apple pie are my favorites flavors!

We tried the banana pudding, strawberry cheesecake, and cc cookie dough ice cream scoops. Everything was delicious! I wish the cc cookie dough had more cookie dough, but everything was worth it. The scoops were full of flavor! I will return.

I so wanted to like this place. The folks were really nice and they had a lot of flavors. They also had seating outdoors. Yet, I can confirm east of ATL, we live in an ice cream 🏜 desert. I ordered the oreo and did not finish it - very bland. I wish this business all the best but will not be returning. 😿

I wish I could give a zero! This is the worst ice cream I ever had in my life. My daughter asked for a refund and was told to wait for a refund. After sitting outside for 10 minutes they said no refund or exchange. I asked them to make it better and they said nothing they can do. It is a cheap flavor and bad customer service. This is why we can’t support our own people bc they don’t value service or quality and want to charge ridiculous prices. Don’t come here trust me.

This review is of the second location for the shop, whose original location is in Stonecrest. Everyone loves ice cream and this ice cream is superb! I was happy to hear of the business' expansion to the West side of Atlanta and had to be sure to stop in on opening day. The shop offers a wide variety of flavors, as well as options to fit dietary needs, such as oat milk. The location is not far from 285 and fairly easy to reach. I was greeted warmly by the staff who were eager and willing to answer any questions I had and provide recommendations. Got to meet one of the founders as well so I feel so special lol. There is parking available and even a drive thru! I will definitely be returning and recommend all dessert lovers to do the same.

Lucked up on this Black-owned ice cream shop, on Juneteenth of all days! Delicious. Great and innovative variety of flavors. Very reasonable prices. Glad to learn they have a shop on the westside of Atlanta now, and I'm telling everyone I know to give them a try!

Ice cream was great, no complaints there. However, I visited the location on 4/28, and not even a minute after we drove off, my 2y old son accidentally spilled his slushie. He was really upset, so I went back hoping they might show a little understanding—maybe offer a replacement or even a small discount. Instead, I was simply asked if I wanted to purchase another one. No offer of assistance, not even napkins( I had to request napkins and ask if they could discard of the cup). I was disappointed by the lack of empathy and basic customer service. For that reason, I won’t be returning.

Support Black and women-owned businesses!! Double Scoop Ice Cream is located east of Atlanta near the Stonecrest mall area which provides a perfect non-chain ice cream option for those that do not want to travel closer to the city. I ordered the "Cookie Monster" kids' cone (kid's cone comes with one scoop) with a Sugar Cone. The ice cream was so creamy and yummy!! It was the perfect way to end the oddly hot February day.

Very delicious! I love the flavors that they have! My husband loves that they offer Grapenut.

I love double scoop! It was a rather warm February day, and my fam and I decided to get some ice cream. We had to support this local delicious creamery. Pulled up on a Sunday afternoon and had to wait a little bit for a parking spot. This place was jumping! They offer a variety of ice cream's and flavored icees. I love the story of the two owners. They previously worked at this location when it was a different ice cream, and decided to purchase the place and make it their own. The service was amazing! And one of the owners was there! OTheir ice cream is the bomb. So many delicious flavors and options to choose from. I didn't get a picture because we all quickly devoured our ice cream.

Black owned. The staff is always soo nice. The ice scream is sooo good. I love the flavors. You can either sit outside or go to the drive through either way the experience is great!

I remember when this place first came to stonecrest there was a lot of hype but I totally forgot about it until a few days ago so I resolved to come check it out. Their drive thru was blocked off for whatever reason so I hopped out and walked up. (Thankfully it's wasn't cold that day) Aside from their long list of regular menu items, they had a large sign with all of the seasonal offerings. I really wanted to try so many flavors but opted for a rum cake sundae which consisted of a slice of warm rum cake, vanilla ice cream, caramel and whipped cream for $9. It was so good! The cake had a strong rum flavor which I thought was a nice balance to the sweetness of the ice cream. It's a little expensive but probably comparable to the other specialty ice cream shops, like Jeni's. I'll definitely add this to my list of places for when I'm ready to treat myself

I haven't personally tasted it. They don't offer enough vegan options for me. My Children loved it. I mean completely said their turtle Sunday's were delicious. We will be back.

We all scream for ice cream!!! This spot is near stone crest mall. We're to begin...well you can purchase in the drive thru, or walk up. They have similar options like any of the other Ice cream spots. The only difference are the flavors. They have rum raisin, grape nut and lemon custard just to name a few. Everyone knows Atlanta summers are hot, so treat yourself and get a cold one. Lol

We went to double scoop on a Friday evening shortly before closing. The staff was attentive and patient, and even answered questions/suggested flavors we may like. The choice of flavors is wonderful and there's truly something for everybody. I got a sundae, my partner got a slushee, and our son got a double scoop. We walked up to order at the window and sat on the benches outside to eat. It was an enjoyable experience, affordable, and good size portions.

The ice cream is sooo good! I'm lactose intolerant so I've had to get the dairy free options more often than not. Even those are really good too! For regular ice cream, they have a lot of different flavors to choose from. The staff has been friendly every time I've visited.

Banana pudding ice cream so fresh and delicious. I really hope this flavor stays past the Holidays

Service is beyond great and they have a wide variety of flavors to choose from (icecream, Italian ice, slushies, milkshakes and vegan icecream) Will definitely be back.

The most delicious fire BLACK WOMAN OWNED ice creamery with really good vegan ice cream options. It almost tempted me to over eat but I'm single so I can't be doing all that.

After I spent about 45 minutes in line next door at Golden Krust only to be told that they do not carry the plant based version of the beef patty that was advertised all over the store, I needed a solution to my stomach sticking to the back of my spine after not eating for a day or two (TOO STRESSED TO BE BLESSED!) Fast forward to Double Scoop (literally, because it's right next door..) I decided to drink my dinner with a milkshake, which would provide me with sustenance and quench my thirst. Their ordering process is super simple, but even though my brain cells weren't getting their act together to process the very simple, user friendly steps, the employee coaxed me through it very patiently and pleasantly. I opted for a traditional chocolate milkshake, and asked if the pecans were small enough to suck up through a straw without having to receive the himelich maneuver from choking on a large nut (get yo mind outta the gutta), and she enthusiastically encouraged me that the nuts were small enough to travel through the straw, so I nutted the #@$* up. And, it was delicious. The texture of the ice cream and the chopped pecans were so incredibly satisfying for someone so hungry and thirsty that I forgot all about my disappointing visit to Golden Krust, and just like that, my hunger was but a distant memory, that would be back to plague me at a much later time. This place was almost 30 mins and 3 near death accidents away from where I live, I literally stumbled upon it, but you can bet your chopped nuts that I will be making the pilgrimage to this fantastic place again and again in the near and distant future!

I just recently stopped by here just because my son and I were in the area...and plus I owed him ice cream. He got a small waffle cone with a scoop of Cookie Butter and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Listen...that d@&# Cookie Butter is everythang' and a bag of chips. Now I wish I would've gotten myself some. The prices are comparable to Bruster's. So the small waffle cone was a little over $5 with tax. This business is black owned and the self checkout is a great idea!

Have not been here in awhile. It was better than I remembered. Great flavor on the Cinnamon Bun cup. We will be going back more often. Everyone support this black owned business in our area!

I decided to take my daughter and cousins to get some ice cream. There are two walk up windows to order and a drive through. There are plenty of options to order from and they even have a cone display outside. My cousins received a scoop cup of ice creams which is plentiful. It was actually too much for the three year old but no worries. I ordered the yellow batter cake milkshake which was delicious. My daughter ordered a cone and it was huge. Customer service is awesome and they did not take long to complete the order. I'm glad I stopped by to see what the rave was about because it was worth it.

Nice to be able to support a small local business it's located conveniently near the mall and has a nice little courtyard to sit and enjoy your ice cream we tried the Italian ice . It was decent definitely not the best around but it was acceptable price wise it was a couple bucks more expensive then the chain places around I will likely return when shopping in the area

Definitely go and support these young ladies their back story is inspiring. I decided to take my kids on a ice cream date and wanted to check Double Scoop ice cream out. They did not disappoint awesome customer service and I was really impressed when we were offered to sample a few flavors because when I tell you they have soooooo many flavors to choose from omg ice cream heaven. I was torn between cotton candy and banana pudding and she told me I could get a scoop of each wha wha!!! Oh yes I was doing a happy dance! Not to mention I got it in a waffle bowl yasssss! My kids got the Oreo cheesecake omg! I will be trying all their flavors and I have all of spring and summer to do it lol definitely go get you some delicious ice cream, milk shake, or snow cone. I can't recall how I heard about this place but I wanted to visit because I was impressed about its history. Two sisters who worked at this place when it was called something else... came back to purchase it once it closed. How cool is that? Anyway... went and ordered double scoop vanilla... which is my favorite btw... and it was really good. There are tons of flavors. I'm just plain. First impression was great... clean outer area, good amount of parking. Pulled to the drive thru to order and there was a pleasant voice that greeted me. Very welcoming. Pulled around to pick up the order and the cashier was very engaging. She even offered suggestions for flavors to try when I return. I was so busy eating my ice cream that I almost hit the curb driving off. Eeeek! No eating and driving. Lol. Check it out!

Their ice cream is still good..................BUT their waffle cones seem to get thinner everytime I go. This place used to be my "Sunday Afternoon Spot", but the last few times I've gone their waffle cones were paper-thin. AND, they just jacked up the price!! Everything is ~$1 more... Their icecream is good, but I'm not paying ~$7 for a plain waffle cone. EDIT: In response to management: I've never ordered a large... The first time was a small and all other times have been a medium ("regular"), which went from $5.29 to $5.99; with tax it was ~$7 (I think she said $6.80-something).

Flavors are fabulous the calories are well worth it. I've tried many flavors, never disappointed.

We have been twice now and it's so delicious. Such a cute spot and I love that the business owners worked there as teens and now own it! That's ambition. We've had the cookie butter, Graham central station, cinnamon bun, and deep dish apple pie. All so so delicious. Milkshakes are my fav and that's how we ordered them. Definitely will be back to continue to try all the flavors!

I absolutely love Double Scoop Ice Cream!! I am addicted to the New York Cheesecake flavor ice cream. OMG. OMG!!! They have a huge variety of flavors and their customer service has always been spectacular every-time I go. This time around, I got a small 2 scoop waffle bowl with Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Fudge Brownie. My son got the kid sized Superwoman flavor and my husband got the medium 2 scoop waffle bowl with New York Cheesecake ice cream. The waffle cones were super fresh too! Anytime you're craving ice cream Double Scoop Ice Cream should be your go to! They're in a central location in the Stonecrest area. Right off highway 20 and the Stonecrest Mall is literally walking distance away. Plus they're BLACK OWNED!!

We were in the mood for some ice cream and decided to go to Double Scoop instead of Cold Stone or Brusters. That was the best decision!!! We tried everything from shakes to sundaes and when we left everyone was happy. What a wonderful place to eat delicious ice cream, listen to great music and enjoy the day. Also let me also add that the customer service was on point.... that goes a long way with me....Double Scoop we will see you again soon!

Ice cream is always great! Only had one encounter here that sort of rubbed me the wrong way. An employee made a smart comment when I asked about an item. However, ice cream is always delicious!

I want to be positive BUT 3 stars is being nice enough.they are expensive, so I need their quality to be better. I got a small milkshake for $6 and it wasn't good. Also I'm confused on how they're able to keep Bruster's menu and stuff but they are not them. It was weird. That was my 1st and last time . I need better for the price

Hands down the best ice cream in the ATL/Dekalb area. They have SO many delicious and unique flavors and the staff is super friendly and helpful. They're also black owned and women owned which so great to see. By far one of the best spots in the area. A must visit if you're heading to the mall or Atlanta in general! P.S they have some adorable flavors for kids and *stunning* ice cream cakes.

Amazing customer service! The selection is great and so are the prices. You can customize everything you order. They also have a rewards card that when you return on your next visit you receive a point, and then after 3 visits your ice cream is free

We have been trying a lot of BOB lately and came across this gem. The ice cream is amazing and doesn't get rock solid after being in the freezer (which we really appreciate). The selections are unique and pricing is comparable (if not a little less expensive than) to Bruster's. We will definitely be back to try more flavors. Banana pudding is my next to try.

I have been a big supporter of this business since day 1. I have bragged about their awesome customer service and their products to everyone I know. My favorites strawberry cheesecake and pecan praline. I am in love with the sweet potato sundae. Please support this beautiful business. I have not been disappointed yet!! Everything was amazing. I bought my parents 2 cups of butter pecan, and I got a cup of red velvet/ yellow cake batter. It was really good, and the service was fast. AND there's a drive thru, which is great because I HATE getting out lol. Definitely my new ice cream spot when I visit my family on that side of town.

I can't say enough about this place. The owners are so awesome!!!!!! They do so much in the community; even started a scholarship fund. Their products taste amazing and they are always adding new options to the menu. I have had nothing but amazing experiences the times I have gone. My son wanted to get an ice cream cake from here for his birthday and it tasted wonderful. My children are ice cream connoisseurs, so for them to frequently ask to return here is big. There are so many options to choose from. You could go daily and there would still be something new for you. They are located right next Golden Krust in the shops surrounding Stonecrest Mall. They have drive-thru, so you don't even have to get out of your car. Their prices are so good, after purchasing frozen treats for five people I had just barely spent $20 and they have a rewards program. Going to Double Scoop has become my weekly treat to myself and my kids. It gets us out of the house and allows us to support a small, black-owned business in our community.

Best Icecream in ATL and the customer service is awesome. I ordered the caramel cheesecake and is was so good. Definitely my new favorite Icecream parlor.
