Double Trouble Wine Room

We had decided to go to a winery and went to this little gem. Luckily the weather was perfect and we could sit outside. The wine was amazing. The one downfall was that the waitresses didn’t come outside we had to go in. Otherwise it was a solid way to spend a Saturday afternoon. #sunshinereviews

Great friendly service, love the place. The wine tasting selection was great! Inside it was bice and clean. On Saturday nights they have a live band playing. No food is served but they do have an Italian food truck right outside. LA LA LASAGNA...which was excellent. The patio was cute and inviting but the only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because the patio was dusty. Maybe prior to opening get the leaf blower and dust off the patio furniture and floor. Other than that ot was excellent.

Excellent service by Candice! They had a live band the Saturday Night we were there. Laid back comfortable atmosphere. Nice patio space. Prices were reasonable and the wine was great. They partner with the place next door for food options.

Both wineries hosted here have a fun and friendly staff. Both Hoi Polloi and Pagter Bros have excellent wines and I have rarely come across one I didn't enjoy. The atmosphere is open and inviting and they play great music, because a few of them have been in the music business. They also have live music on one or two nights a week. My wife and I are happy to have this great place in the revamped Old Town Newhall area.

If you are not a regular you will be ignored. My cup was empty for 30 minutes while "regulars" were tended to. I asked if there was food and was told no yet two tables were brought cheese boards. Will never return nor recommend this place.

Fantastic place to Hang-out. So many excellent wines to choose from. Your only problem will be deciding which ones to sip there, and which to take home. Comfortable laid-back atmosphere with great staff.

One of our favorite wine clubs. Great wines and a wonderful atmosphere. Two wineries in one location. Live music and food trucks on the weekends. Seating inside and outside on the patio.

Great wine. Great music. Two wineries in one. Hoi Polloi and Pagter Brothers. Hoi Polloi has a great classic Burgundy light, minerally pinot noir and several amazing syrahs including the amazing Double Exposure, lush, multi-vineyard blend of grapes from warm and cool climates and the Comrades cool climate syrah, which is lighter and earthier. The "Party" blend is a big, delicious wine you can serve at a party that will appeal to novice and veteran wine drinkers. Pagter Bros Notorious and Melodious are flipped blends of the same two grapes, grenache and syrah. Notorious has a beautiful cocoa note in the long finish. Melodious is a bit more cherry in the finish (or vice versa, I might have them mixed up. The music the night we were there was Gary Coppola and the Time Machine. These guys are amazing. Everything from Zeppilin to Stevie Wonder performed flawlessly. Lots of people were dancing. Also, they allow outside food and are surrounded by various restaurants with bbq, Mexican, sandwiches, etc.

Pagter brothers is just one part of the wineroom called "Double Trouble". Incredible wine, epic live music Fridays and Saturdays without a cover charge, and a super warm and cozy ambiance both inside and out on the patio. During the day, the wine-tenders provide an intimate wine experience and at night-- it's a party that you don't want to miss! If you can catch the winemakers, they are super friendly and knowledgeable and the entire staff is so warm and accommodating. It's like going wine tasting up the central coast without leaving the SCV. Whether you are novice or a connoisseur, they will absolutely take care of you. My family became wine members 3 years ago and we are so happy with the experience thus far. Comedy nights on Thursdays once a month, live music Fridays and Saturdays, and free tastings every time you go in if you're a member. Can't beat it! Having a local wineroom that provides central-coast wines is an absolute dream. Definitely try them for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Fun little place in Newhall. I did a tasting and I enjoyed the wines. The place was busy and it seemed like they were short staffed.

Known as double trouble this wine bar supports two local wineries, Hoi Polloi Winery and Pagter Brothers Winery. You can opt to include one or the other in your tasting, or both! We went for both and it was fun to compare between the two. The wines are from wines from Paso Robles, Santa Ynez, and Sonoma and were really good. I did like some better the others, but I liked them all. The best part was that we were not rushed during the tasting, which happens at a lot of wine tasting places. And the wine stewart was very knowledgeable and fun to "hang out with". They have a new patio that looks pretty large, and was well decorated. When I return next I will give the patio a sit. Support local business, this one is well worth it!

New to the neighborhood and wanted to get out of the house on Sunday afternoon. What a lovely little neighborhood winery. I was greeted warmly upon entry. They had live music which is always nice. Cute decor, cozy, friendly crowd. You kinda feel like your at home here. Will definitely come again. I don't think they serve any food. At least I didn't see any. Some small bites would be nice even if it's just a charcuterie platter. Hint, hint.

The owner is fantastic and so caring!!! Our first time here and welcomed with opened arms.Ended up joining the wine club. I will be returning as much as I can!!!

Buckle up and get ready for a review of your life!!! I just turned 21. It's everything that you hope for. Another year of living. So, what do I do? Vegas? Nope!!!!! Winery time!!!! I'm such an old fashion soul. I could drink Pinot noir for hours upon hours. My liver is still THRIVING! Let me get back to my review. It was a typical Saturday night. I called up all my girlies. I wanted a night in France and let me tell you, Pagter Brothers Winery & Tasting did not disappoint. I was served by the sweetie, most knowledgeable server ever!!! Her name was Delaney and boy, was I in for a treat!!! She knew ALL of her wines and made it her duty to educate me and to make me feel welcomed. We were there for a couple of hours until we ubered our way to LA to club it all up. For anyone that wants a wonderful wine experience, you NEED to check this place out. Both the inside and outside are absolutely stunning. I wish that I could give this place more than 5 stars. My best friends and I will be return ASAP!!!

The experience here is the perfect combination of going to wine country and a going to a favorite local place . They have some of the best wines I have ever tasted, and are locally made from some of the best grapes from Paso and Santa Ynez. The owners are the winemakers, and are really kind and welcoming. I always feel at home, and very special when I'm there. Don't be confused about the name of the tasting room. It's called the Double Trouble Wine Room. They share it with another winery called Hoi Polloi. So cool to try wines from 2 wineries in one place!

Sorry I have to give them a 1 1/2. They are very nice however the tasting amount is tiny! You can't even get a feel for the wine you are drinking. See pics. I generally only like whites, they only had ONE TONIGHT! I wine taste all over California and have never had such a small tasting sampling for the price. I wish it were better as I live here in the valley.

We came in a half hour before closing time and still received awesome service from the owners themselves! We mixed it up with two different tastings (one from each maker) and took home a yummy Cab/Petite Syrah blend called "Duet." We will be back for sure!

What a wonderful place! Great wine, friendly owners! A place that you feel like your at home sharing a great bottle of wine with family. Love this place!

We had a great Hotspot mixer with Scott and Sidney Pagter. The tasting room is comfortable and allows you to enjoy the downtown Newhall activity through the large front windows. Great place to meet and sip! Plenty of comfy seating. Yummy wines!

Best place in town for wine.customer service awesome. Very kind and humble owner's . My wife had been there with her friend she love it . The restroom clean . This ambiance is great. They wine taste much better ( my wife and friend can vouch for that ) They are locals . Must try this place. I don't drink wine but hang out with a few friend who love wine at this place . We will be back . Now others can discover this hidden gem . We support small and local business.

Could not be more excited for this place! Not only is Scott so incredibly helpful but his wife Sydney is so nice she has everyone's best interest in mind. this place is great!! Great mix of personalities and professional tastings!!!

Local wine tasting room that has been opened for 4 weeks. Excellent service and delicious wine, we had the Hoi Polloi wine and Pagster brothers wine. Both owners came over to introduce themselves and shared wine facts. Definitely a fantastic spot for girls night out or a date night.

Fun place, amazing people, incredible atmosphere and all of that extra stuff is true... but the bottom line is that Pagter Brothers have some of the absolute best reds in the business, and certainly in SoCal. Taste the Syrah, the Grenache, and then the blends of each... you will find yourself understanding and enjoying each sip so much more. Amazing stuff really... and the Pinot is hands down amazing as well. The '14 and '15 Tempranillo will blow your minds too... but you must try them back to back. Ultimately what it comes down to is that Pagter Brothers have always had amazing wine, but now with this tasting room, they bring a new level of service, education, and fun to wine whether you are new to the game, or been in it a long time. Stop by, do a flight of Pagter wines, and you will *not* be the same. In fact, I would expect you will leave with a bottle or two and a wine club membership! ENJOY!

Very knowledgeable about their wines. Comfortable atmosphere to just go sample wine and relax. Owners are very friendly and always available for any questions. You can bring in food from outside restaurants which is nice. Back patio area is nice and open with twinkle lights that make it a little romantic in the evenings.

Walked in about a week after they opened and we were greeted by three friendly faces (Ted, Dan and Scott) who were very happy to tell us about their wines and to have us taste the wines. There are two wineries sharing the space: Hoi Polloi and Pagter Brothers Winery. We had a tasting from each winery and they have some real winners! We ended up joining the Hoi Polloi wine club and took a couple of bottles home with us, including a Chardonnay from Pagter Bros. Go check them out!! We'll certainly be back.

Here at Pagter Brothers winery. I am SOO happy to find a winery with my kinda bigass awesome wine! The proprieters are warm and personable. I will be back! I love their wines so much we just joined the wine club!!!

Love this place. It is shared with Hoi Polloi. The sign says "Double Trouble" I believe. The wines are tasty and the owners very helpful when selecting. You can also purchase a "tasting".

Great place to stop in and taste some excellent wine. You can speak with the wine maker, Scott and learn about the grapes and what they love about each hand crafted bottle. This is a great new local business and worth a visit. I'll be back.

First and foremost...outstanding wines!! Each and every is absolutely amazing! We tried this winery a couple weeks ago during their first open weekend. This local tasting room was a very pleasant surprise. We enjoyed it so much that we joined the club. Excellent wines, super friendly and knowledge staff. This place is a hidden jewel in SCV!

We were so excited that this little gem made its way to Old Town Newhall! I felt as if I was a winery in Santa Ynez. The owners are incredibly knowledgeable about wines and you can tell it is their passion. Not only are they knowledgeable, but they make you feel as if you are a guest in their home. The wine flight we had was wonderful. It is a perfect addition to this up and coming area!!!

Reserved the outside patio area for a last girls night before our friend gets married and it was perfect! We where allowed to bring outside food so we brought our own meats and cheeses to go with our wine. The atmosphere in this wine room is classy and everyone who works there is always very friendly! Highly recommend visiting this wine room!

This was my first time here, it looked cute inside, service was not bad but the wine tastings were such a small amount it was a joke! and I have gone to many tastings before and nothing like this one, I will definitely not be returning!
