I'm so happy! The doughnuts look great but I'm most happy with these little sesame ball thingys! I was eying them curiously in the store and I guess the lady noticed because she was super sweet and gave me 2 for free and said "Try them!". They don't exactly fit with in with my diet, but she was so nice I happily accepted. And OMG they are flakey treats of goodness! I don't know what that purple stuff is but it is so good! Like the whole thing is this perfect blend of sweet fried bread, but like it's not as heavy on you as a doughnut. I don't know if I'm just late to the party, but I'm in love! 10/10

Google
The Sesame balls are amazing! The Taro bread were fresh and warm. The coconut bread sells out fast, call and pre-order if you want them!

Google
The taro sesame ball is a must go. Taro, coconut bread and regular long bread is my must buy for my family each time I go. I like how they make it fresh everyday.

I was passing through this part of the state and recall some bakery that I had at gathering. I asked around and was told that this is the place. I stopped on the way out of town and picked up a box. Bakery is warm and tasty for my road trip. Will stop again in the future when I’m in town.

Google
Love lao cheng and coconut bread! It’s delicious! Only reason why it didn’t get 5 stars is that she is always sold out! Got to call early ahead of time and reserve the bread and even then sometimes it’s still sold out

Google
I LOVE LOVE their sesame balls and taro bread!!! I also recommend getting their donuts hole and LoCheng bread. It also goes good with coffee.

Google
Not a huge selection but good donuts. But the main attraction are the Taro Sesame Balls. They have a Taro Bun as well but the Sesame Balls are my favorite. Be sure to get there early because they will run out.

Yelp
Great place close to the Fresno Fairground. It's very busy! I was there twice around 8am during the weekend. More and more people showed up until there was a line during my time there. This is more a pick-up and go place. No chairs and tables to hang out there. I discovered this place when I helped pick up two huge orders for an event (two days in a row). The older lady (I believe the owner) took care of us both times. She was friendly and professional. She was also very nice and generous. She not only gave the family some freebies for their big orders, but also gave us (the people picking up the orders) a box full of donuts on our 2nd visit. The owner lady also had one of her employees help us carry the boxes to the car. The items I tried tasted fresh and as expected. Besides the donuts, our big favorites are the taro-filled bread, Long Cheng bread, and sesame balls. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Came around 11am and about 10 donuts- plain glazed and filled- were left for the day. We were pretty disappointed with the selection, so we got one plain glazed and headed else ware. Donut was fantastic- super soft, yeasty, and not overly glazed. Would love to try more varieties but the dough itself is so good, plain glazed might be the winner here.

Yelp
10/10 great service and must try plan bagel sandwiched and very clean and organized restaurant

Yelp
It was closed due to emergency. This was during normal business hours. Can't really review it if they are not open

Yelp
Love this place, they have the best Long Cheng bread in Fresno, made fresh every morning

Yelp
This place is your typical, classic doughnut shop - assorted doughnuts and coffee. How this place is different from your other shops, and is probably their best seller, is their Taro Sesame Seed balls! The taro is grated and stuffed inside in what seems to be a glutinous rice ball. It is then deep fried then coated with sesame seeds. They sell for .50 cents per ball. They also sell taro bread as well but the taro balls is what keeps me coming back here. I've been special ordering from them for the past 15-20 years. When I used to work nearby, I would hit this place up at least once a week. When I hosted parties, I would order around $20-$30 of these balls to add on to my dessert table. My family/visitors alike would rave about them, and in some instances, would ask if I could get some before heading out of town. However, since it's a doughnut shop, the hours are limited - usually they'll be closed right around noon or whenever they sellout. Call or order ahead of time is your best option.

Yelp
Best apple fritter donut and sesame a balls in town! Always my go to place if I need some fresh sesame balls. If you want some, you have to go early as they do run out quick.

Yelp
Sesame balls. That's all you need to know. Don't be fooled; this hole in the wall that you'll basically miss unless you have google maps lead you directly there, is amazing. Granted I've only ever had their sesame balls, but really, that's all you'll ever need. They're made fresh every day, filled with taro, and just perfect. Do yourself a favor and treat your taste buds while simultaneously supporting a small business during the pandemic! Winning all around. Just make sure you get there early, they only make one big batch a day, and they sell out

Yelp
Closed on Mondays. Was looking forward to buying some before heading back home. For sure next time.

Yelp
I love everything in this small hidden gem. You get the most fresh sesame balls, bread, and donuts. Their bread are so popular that it would sometimes run out by noon. I prefer to get sesame balls here because at other restaurants or store their sesame balls sit on the counter for a while and tend to have a hard texture. Which, isn't the best experience for me.

Yelp
The best! Check out the cartoon maple bar in the window that a customer drew for the pleasantly welcoming couple that owns this place. I wish nothing but the best for this establishment, decadent chocolate donuts, with a blueberry surprise in the dough! And a drive thru....

Yelp
Small parking but easily to find. Most known for their fresh Hmong bread. They also provide donuts and coffee daily. Very convenient for their opening time for the early birds.

Yelp
The main thing I get from here is the taro bread, which is consistently fresh and good. Occasionally, I get sesame balls but those are inconsistent in texture and taste. Haven't had donuts from here.

Yelp
WOW! What a hole in the wall hidden gem this place is! We were just looking for a quick place to grab some doughnuts and found some of the most delicious doughnuts we've ever had. Make no bones about it, this place is a dive, but what they lack in ambiance, they more than make up for with mouth-watering, soft doughnuts. They have a very standard selection, but they're also very underpriced. We would have paid at least double if we had known what we were getting. (FYI: The photos for this place are not correct. This location does not have a drive-thru, nor the signage, nor anything else, other than doughnuts, portrayed in the photos.)

Yelp
I live in Sacramento and whenever I visit Fresno I must come to this donut shop to get my fresh taro beard! It's so scrumptious delicious and warm. Sometimes I craved it so much I make a excuse just to come to Fresno. All they fresh bake breads are very moist and flavorful.

Yelp
I been eating their donuts ever since I was small. And every time my family and I go out of town, we always buy 5-6 box of donuts to get out to family members and they love it !

Michelle P.

Yelp
Limited parking and limited selection of donuts. The donuts weren't fresh. I will not go back. Very disappointed.

Yelp
It was an ok place. Me and my girlfriend ordered a dozen donuts the other morning but didn't count em till we got home and turned out to be eleven. Lady doesn't know how to count. Count your donuts before purchasing them.

Yelp
My favorite is their sesame balls with taro. But they have really good coconut bread, taro bread, and hmong bread.

Yelp
DoughBoy Donut's choice of service is poorly constructed. There was an occurrence that happened on two separate occasions. Saturday December 3rd, 2016 marked the 2nd issue. I called in that morning at 6:40am to place in an order of a certain amount of coconut buns. I also included clearly, the time of pick up as well which would be from 10:30am-11:00am. When I got to the location & finally was helped, it was 10:40am. I stated that I was there for my pick up, but was told by the elder lady who runs the shop that my order had already been sold off to another individual. Her reason was that she waited & I did not show up. Also that she did not have my contact info as well. As a side note, most of the time when they take orders over the phone, they never bother to include a customers name & phone number with the order. I looked at her, & at the clock on the wall, & obviously I was only 10:40am not even 11:00am. Normally I don't make comments in regards towards a business choice of services In public but this time, I had enough & gave her a piece of my mind. I informed her straightforwardly that this was the 2nd time she had done this. I not only had called in advance, but my time was not even up yet, & if I was to place an order most likely they will be pick up according to schedule. I also included that if she continues with this type of service, I won't be coming in anymore due to the fact that this was a big inconvenience for me & walked out. Never had I been this angry at a local Hmong business before. The first time this issue occurred, I was nice about it & let it slide, however today, I did not feel the need to tolerate her service & was blunt about it. If Dough Boy Donut continues to utilize this type of service approach, I am positive their business will be closed down due to the great inconvenience that they chose to provide. What type of business sells off an active customer's order to another individual just because they feel anxious to make a sell that day? It appears that Dough Boy Donut seems to fit that description pretty well.

Yelp
The place is amazing. The people are sweet. My mom loves this place, their bread and donuts are great. They're soft and smooth, not hard. Whenever we're in town, we like to get about 3-5 boxes to go because they're that amazing, also we like to microwave them when they're cold, and they're still the same amazing-ness and softness texture after microwaved. Definitely recommend this place!!

Yelp
