The 14 Best Pizzas In London

"The Spurstowe Arms—an unofficially Ganni-sponsored Hackney pub—serves excellent pizzas courtesy of Dough Hands. They fall somewhere between classic New York-style and Neapolitan. The toppings—tomato pie with stracciatella, or ‘nduja with hot honey—lean NYC, while the charred pillowy crusts and flop factor can lean slightly Neapolitan. Our favourite is the tomato pie, followed closely by the citrussy, spicy tuna. They also serve the same, great pies from The Old Nun’s Head pub in Nunhead." - rianne shlebak, heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, daisy meager, sinead cranna

Dough Hands at The Spurstowe Arms Review - Hackney - London - The Infatuation

"On any given weekend The Spurstowe Arms is filled with more cowboy boots and mullets than the Texas State Fair. And from Tuesdays to Sundays the unofficially Ganni-sponsored, Hackney pub serves excellent pizza courtesy of Dough Hands. They're self-proclaimed ‘London-style’ pizzas that fall somewhere between classic New York-style and Neapolitan. The toppings—tomato pie with stracciatella, or ‘nduja and hot honey—lean NYC, while the charred pillowy crusts and flop factor can lean slightly Neapolitan. Either way the thin pies are excellent. Our favourite is the aforementioned tomato pie, followed closely by the citrussy, spicy tuna. photo credit: Koray Firat photo credit: Koray Firat photo credit: Koray Firat Food Rundown photo credit: Koray Firat Tomato Pie This is our favourite thing to order here. The bright red marinara is spread evenly across the crisp base, and if you add the stracciatella as an extra (which you should), you’ll get bites of creamy, light cheese and rich tomato sauce that balance out perfectly. photo credit: Koray Firat Spicy Tuna A fiery, zesty number. This Calabrian chilli tuna, lemon, and red onion-topped pizza is a fun mix of flavours. Grandma Pie We had high hopes for this wedge of square pizza. But it lacked tomato sauce and we found it a little dry. Stick with the excellent thin-base pizzas." - Rianne Shlebak

Wow, this is easily one of the best pizzas I've had in Europe—right up there with the greats on the East Coast of the U.S. The toppings are carefully chosen to complement each other, and the pies are as visually stunning as they are delicious. That dough is phenomenal, not so thin that is like a cracker, crispy and chewy, the sauce is rich and so well-seasoned. Do yourself a favor and check it out—you won’t regret it! Also the boozer is super charming and the staff were so lovely.

Pizza was insane! 🍕 Tasted the Shroomy, can’t recommend enough. Only £15 with a Parmesan crust, also hide the garlic dip! Perfect

Popped in here on a Saturday evening having heard the hype. It was absolutely packed, but we with some patience and expert pub manoeuvring, we found a seat. Pizzas took 40 minutes to come but to reiterate, the place was absolutely packed, so this was to be expected. We absolutely LOVED the pizza. Our previous favourite London 🍕 was the Wickerman at SoDo. But this is a very, very different type of pizza, so it's not a straightforward comparison. This one is much crispier. But this isn't just a well done or overcooked pizza. It's tricky to accurately describe the experience, as you bite into it, but it collapses gently, rather than being brittle and overcooked. Not a clue what they're doing with the dough here, but 🎩s off to them. I think the toppings could possibly be better. But I'm scraping the barrel to find feedback. We'll be back. 🤤

Best pizza in London. We came on a Sunday at noon and grabbed a table immediately. Shortly after ordering our pizza arrived. It was perfectly crisp, the flavors were incredible. ZERO notes

London Style Pizza has made a remarkable entrance into the culinary scene, and it’s nothing short of extraordinary! Dough Hands Pizza is undoubtedly the best pizza in town, featuring a delightful combination of textures and flavors that elevate the pizza experience to new heights. The crust is a perfect balance of crispiness and chewiness, providing a light yet satisfying base for the toppings. Each bite is a heavenly experience, enhanced by a tangy tomato sauce that adds just the right amount of zest. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out on a truly exceptional pizza experience!

I have to write a review for this place because I was so impressed with the pizza at Dough Hands. It was honestly so delicious with a nice crispy base with quality ingredients and flavour, probably one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had in london. The pub it is located in is very relaxed too with lots of seating and great alcohol choices. There is also outdoor seating too. I’m already thinking about my next pizza trip here. The pictures speak for itself!

Superb pizza, thin and crispy. Hard to find in the UK which is dominated by soft, doughy Neapolitan style. One of the best I've had even compared to ones in New York and all over Italy. Get the Jode you won't be disappointed.
