We finally made it here!! Whoa, yummy donut overload 😋 All vegan donuts, sign me up!! We tried a variety and they were all delicious along with the donut holes (best I have ever had!) My favorite donut was the apple cider but they were all top notch!! Check them out and if you need gluten free, they have covered!!

I took a trip to black mountain this weekend to get some delicious donuts at Dough House Donuts. It was well worth the hour trip from Hendersonville. These donuts are on the slightly higher price point for donuts. I assumed at first the prices were a reflection on the product being gluten free/vegan as I know that can increase the price of ingredients, but what the price really reflects is the high quality of taste and generous size of portions. These were the best gluten free dairy free (vegan) donuts I’ve had in a while. The gluten free donuts come as donut holes but don’t be fooled they are enormous! They are easily the size of two donut holes together if not bigger. They are not the classic fried fluffy donut, they are better. They are perfectly fried and deliciously dense texture with a slight fluffiness to it. The fry on the donut is enough to create a perfect shell without overcooking the interior or leaving oily residue. The glaze perfectly coats the donut without overwhelming it. The glaze flavors taste fresh and not at all artificial. I got the orange creamsicle, French toast, and chocolate caramel coconut flavors. My favorite was the chocolate caramel coconut. I am definitely going to go back for more donuts another day, but what made today special was they had gluten free dairy free (vegan) cinnamon rolls!!! It has been far too long since I had a quality cinnamon roll and these were high quality. It had the perfect ratio of icing to bun, and just the right amount of cinnamon swirled inside. The dough was slightly denser like the donuts but it perfectly complimented the smoothness of the icing and the richness of the flavor. I was also fortunate that they had a whoopie pie left over from yesterday that was gluten and dairy free (vegan). The texture of the cake is fluffy and the filling is nice and smooth. The ratio of filling to cake was just right. The filling was a like a frosting so it was sweeter upfront compared to the other pastries. My sister had a regular (with gluten) orange creamsicle vegan donuts and said it tasted great. Her donut was also generously portioned. The pictures do not do the donuts/cinnamon rolls justice as you have to see them to believe the size/quality. Gluten free donate come as three donut holes, but the pictures only show two as I forgot to take a picture before I started devouring them. I almost forgot to mention, the staff was super friendly and helped answer any question I had. I highly recommend doing what I did and order a day ahead of time to make sure you can get the flavors you want as they sold out fast!

Every visit to Dough House Donut Shop is a treat — the donuts and donut holes are always incredibly fresh, soft, and full of flavor. The shop has that warm, welcoming vibe that makes you want another round of donuts. Staff is super friendly and always serve with a smile. If you’re in Black Mountain, this place is a must-stop for fresh, delicious donuts every time!

Wonderful shop we'd really enjoyed visiting today. Very tasty treats to be had inside. Friendly staff and a clean facility. I really wanted a Boston Creme Pie doughnut, but unfortunately they are only available on the weekend. Sad face because we were there on a Monday. We will just have to return again to this area again one day. They had toliets and free WiFi.

My partner and I stopped in for an impromptu sweet treat for our trip back to Jersey, and what an unexpected sweet experience it was. I’d like to first highlight the exceptional service by Julie and Gabriella, they are both so warm and welcoming, making a point to add a little positivity to your day. As we were leaving, they gifted us with an additional apple fritter and cinnamon bun! I can’t say enough about how fresh and subtly sweet these donuts were. They were as homemade as homemade gets. Nothing about these treats tasted artificial. I for one can’t stand when treats have so much sweetness that it makes your teeth hurt. The flavors in these donuts were so well balanced, and the dough was light and airy. At the same time it was also a little dense, which I thoroughly enjoyed because I’m a dough head. My favorite turned out to be the apple fritter, and second being the plain old vanilla. There was something so timeless and nostalgic about the vanilla even though it was so simple. A variety worth mentioning is the chocolate espresso. These donuts are seriously the best donuts I’ve ever had, and now I will be craving these when I am back home. Don’t hesitate to give this place a chance!

if you're in or passing through black mountain you shouldn't miss these donuts they are the flakiest, fluffiest, most delicious donuts, fried to perfection! we got a dozen to take home with us on our trip and every flavor was wonderful. the peach glaze and chocolate glaze were my favorite, the caramel coconut and mango glaze were my hunnies favs. also the ladies who run the place are exceptional humans kind hearted and lovely like no other! support their local business doing good for the animals! so much love for you from pittsburgh penna.

Finally got a chance to try Dough House donuts during my trip to Black Mountain TWICE. I got nice warm vanilla donuts. Ate 2 of them in the car! Best donuts I’ve ever had. Love all the vegan options. Customer service is A+! Get there early, they sell out fast.

Incredible donuts! I'm not a big donut person, but ended up having a craving for them while staying in Black Mountain. I woke up early on Sunday morning and found Dough House. The people working couldn't have been nicer and those donuts were OUT OF THIS WORLD! The strawberry glazed was my favorite of their specialties. The dough was so fresh and dense. I haven't experienced a donut that delicious. If you are there on the weekend, don't miss out on the Boston Cream or the Apple Fritter!!! Thank you Dough House for turning me into a donut fan.

This place is just delightful. This is my second time there the first time we went the fryer was down and we were only able to try the cinnamon rolls (which are exquisite and the gluten-free donuts) also excellent. But this time I had a cold coffee that was absolutely wonderful just strong enough no sugar added. I was in heaven. Plus we got to try a different group of donuts this time I have pictures for you, you've got to give it a try. The service is absolutely wonderful. The people there are so kind and really glad to see people visiting their shop. They usually trow in a little something new to try, or one of your old favorites. The ambience is simple but sweet pick up and go or sit down and enjoy. You've got to give this place a try when you're in the mood for a yummy treat. That's just delicious!!

Another great day to get donuts from Dough House! We always get the Chocolate Espresso Glaze. We love that we can get Gluten Free, Egg Free, Dairy Free donuts! The staff are always super friendly and helpful, and the vibe is always welcoming and chill. Highly recommended!! A definite must try in Black Mountain!

Everything is great here; Donuts,staff, facility,pricing. My neighbor arrived when they opened yesterday & surprised me with a raspberry chocolate ...so delish!

Went here a few days ago as I had been hearing all about it from friends. And for good reason! Upon entering, it is an adorable and cozy cafe. The area could use a bit of a facelift as it's a bit shabby but that adds to the cuteness in some odd way. Inside you will find rugs and one cozy seating area. There's also a little table. I ordered the specials (there are 2 each day). I was interested in the originals (chai, chocolate, strawberry and vanilla) but how do you get those when specials are limited edition?! Maybe if I didn't want a special one (ex-pineapple) I'd go for an og The specials were matcha glazed with raspberry jelly filled and milk and cookies. Both were stellar. We were so impressed on how they were somewhere in between cake and traditional. Not too greasy but light and fluffy and dense enough. And they're vegan?! Whatttt They do make to order so you will wait a bit. Worth it. Friendly staff too- willing to make suggestions and help.

Get there early! I'm retired and get up late and it seems every time I crave a donut the store is already sold out! The other day was lucky. I came in the door and they had sad faces, saying I walked in just as they were closing. They had no donuts left but they offered apple fritters. I took some and found a few extra in the box when I got home! That was half the good news. The other half was biting into one! These aren't your overcooked store bought fritters with a tiny piece of apple, these were fresh, splump with apples and smothered in sweet glaze. I'm gonna have to get up earlier to get me some donuts.

Doughnuts are fresh and wonderful flavors! Great seating area with a fun place for little ones. Definitely recommend! And we will be back!

Oh my goodness... what else can I say but JUST GO! I'm a connoisseur of fine donuts, and I can truly say that their product is absolutely unique in the most delightful way. The base donut has the crackly margins of a good cake donut, and the pillowy structure and yeast notes of a yeast donut- an amazing hybrid of the best of both styles. To really appreciate that accomplishment, order the most simple topping so as not to obscure the subtle taste notes. I prefer powdered sugar, but they also have a nice assortment of gooey toppings as well. Try the caramel topping with Biscoff biscuit crumbs! It's also a cute little shop with friendly helpful staff, and very good coffee. It's easy to get to, and worth a visit- just get there early for the best selection. You won't regret it!

We were in town for 4 days and got donuts here 3/4 days..if that doesn't speak for itself, not sure what will! My boyfriend has dairy and gluten allergies so he hasn't eaten a donut in 3+ years- for him to be able to eat here, with no fear of cross contamination, was amazing- but besides that, the donuts are also amazing and have you wondering, why can't all donuts be vegan and gluten free?! My personal favorite was the raspberry lemon cookie or the raspberry lime, my boyfriend's favorite being the caramel vanilla or maple coconut bacon. We recommend to anyone in the area- just check their instagram beforehand to check if they are sold out yet!

Suggested by a friend, I decided to give this place a go! I love doughnuts and am pretty particular about the consistency and texture. I was immediately surprised by how delicious these doughnuts were. I've had some amazing ones before, but Dough House is doing something incredible because these are hands down the absolute BEST doughnuts I have ever had in my entire life. They are fluffy , full of flavor and are made fresh to order. The cinnamon sugar and the caramel are my favorites, but they do weekly specials and every one of those that I have tried are great as well! Highly recommend!

Run, don't walk, to dough house. Best new donuts on the block, hot and made to order, and 100% vegan. Sweet staff, and sweet flavors to choose from (don't know which is sweeter, the people or the flavors) including Chai, Chocolate, and usually a daily special (today's was birthday cake!) Highly highly recommend!

Had two (2) of their Classics this morning. They're made to order dusted Cinnamon Sugar and a Vanilla Glazed .... Both were hot and very airy and fluffy. These were far better than store bought donuts and were made to order and by hand so when they serve them to you they're still very hot and steamy. Perfect with a cup of joe that brew also made to order.

Ok, I've tons of donuts in my life. Although their donuts are decent they do not deserve more than three stars. I ordered three. They were doughy, meaning not cooked enough. Enough said.

12/10 the best vegan donuts and garlic knots I've ever had. Cute decor, friendly service, great coffee. Will go out of my way to come here any time I'm in western NC! For other vegan food in Black Mountain, they also recommended Cousins Cuban and Goldfinch.

Simply put: the best donuts I've ever had. They're made and glazed to order. You can feel the warmth when they hand you the box. Each bite was fluffy sweet perfection. Are they a little pricey compared to Dunkin? Yes. But a real diamond is pricey compared to plastic.

This place is amazing !! I've eaten at literally hundreds of donut boutiques around the country and this is in my top three. Trust me that is saying a lot. If you like donuts you need to go there it is truly worth the drive for taking time out of your day they are delectable treats !! They are super light and airy and the Boston cream was off the charts as well as the muscadine jam !! Eat these donuts and you'll feel like a kid again.

These doughnuts were incredible. The strawberry rhubarb with sumac drizzle was the best doughnut ever (though my partner insists that was the cinnamon apple butter variety he had). We also tried the simple cinnamon sugar kind, which were also amazing. And the coffee was great, made by such sweet staff. Simply perfect.

went to Dough House this morn bc a friend recommended i check it out. the staff were v friendly and the donuts were some of the best ive ever had! youd never guess theyre vegan and gf. they were lil crunchy on the outside but the inside was soft and semi-doughy. go check it auuuut. it slapped

The best donuts I've ever eaten. I can't wait to go back and try them all. The "peach jelly with tamarind icing" hot donut I had this morning beats every donut I've ever eaten in my life. Perfect texture too. AND ... the staff are wonderful too.

I don't know what type of donuts you would call what they make there but I am not a fan. Way too greasy and not very sweet.

These donuts are amazing. They came served hot. We got a dozen with chocolate glazed, vanilla glazed, cinnamon sugar, and apple cider glazed. I don't generally love donuts but these were fantastic. Doughy, chewy, warm. So good.

The best vegan donuts my husband and I have ever had, and we've done some traveling. The prices are reasonable, the staff are so kind, and the atmosphere, although small, is very welcoming and eclectic. Very LGBTQIA+ friendly as well. Will be coming back on our next trip to Asheville.

The absolute star here was the texture of their donuts - truly excellent. The flavors were great, but for me I wanted less sweetness, and more flavor. Still, absolutely deserved 5 stars - had a lovely time eating these donuts with coffee in black mountain.

Oh my gosh! You have to try these doughnuts! We stopped in with our daughter just because the open sign was on and we had read good reviews... really the best doughnuts I've ever had. They are made to order, served warm and not too sweet. Just go!

The best dough I've ever had! Stumbled on this place by accident and it is AMAZING! I live about 3 hrs away and I will put this on my short "must do" list when in town. I tried Choc/Van/Straw glazed and Cin/Sug peach filled.

Warm, fresh, fried and vegan. Even the GF cake versions are equally satisfying in their own way. What I love, though, is the simplicity. There's a few regular flavors, daily specials, coffee and lattes. Really feels like my neighborhood donut shop.

Ummm, don't know about the positive reviews, but I was thoroughly underwhelmed. The donuts were simply 'OK', definitely not 'the best'. Way overpriced and the menu options are incredibly thin.
