Dough Zone Opens a New Beaverton Restaurant in July 2023 | Eater Portland

"I'm excited that Seattle-based Dough Zone is bringing its crispy-bottomed jian bao, slurpable dan dan noodles, and steaming hot xiao long bao to Beaverton, opening Monday, July 17 at Cedar Hills Crossing; the Beaverton location (2645 SW Cedar Hills Boulevard, Suite 105) will be the chain's 16th restaurant, and Dough Zone vice president Cindy Guan noted the business started as a mom-and-pop in 2014 and expanded due to high demand for its dishes." - Janey Wong

Dough Zone Dumpling House Plans Two More Portland Restaurants in 2023 | Eater Portland

"A Beaverton outpost is expected to open this summer at Cedar Hills Crossing mall (2645 SW Cedar Hills Boulevard); the shopping center-based location will likely be smaller than Portland’s first Dough Zone." - Clair Lorell

This Asian restaurant is awesome! I needed something open late, and I got my order in on DoorDash just before they closed. I ordered it to go, and it arrived at my room still hot. Seriously, I've never seen takeout packaged so nicely. They really put in the effort to make sure your food is well-made, hot, and looks good, even when you're taking it home. Everything, from the bag to their custom boxes and even the chopsticks, was impressive. I got pork soup dumplings that were cooked perfectly and a spicy beef pancake roll. The dough on both was absolutely amazing, and the fillings had great flavors. I'd totally order from here again in a second, and it was definitely worth the price; everything was super reasonable.

Probably the absolute worst "dumplings/noodles" ive ever had. Even though it was delivered it was still far from expectations. Those noodles wouldnt pass for .49 cent ramen noodles and the portion was horrendous. And the dumplings were undercooked and stone cold. Its wild that a place would let this quality of food leave its kitchen and be proud of it. Will definitely avoid this place at all cost and am definitely letting others know not to spend their money there and to go elsewhere. Yall got work to do.

We’re big fans of Chinese soup dumplings, so when a friend recommended “The Dough Zone” in Beaverton, we couldn’t wait to give it a try. The first time we visited, the restaurant was full — a great sign — so we put our name in and took the time to review the menu carefully and plan out our first meal. From that first visit, we were impressed: the dumplings (we ordered chicken and pork) were fresh, perfectly prepared, and really flavorful . Every dish we ordered was great, well-balanced, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere was minimalist but comfortable, and the service was quick and efficient despite how busy they were. Since that initial visit, we’ve been back four or five times in just the past month or two — and each time, the experience has been consistently excellent. Whether it’s the juicy soup dumplings, the savory beef stew noodles, the cucumber salad was exceptional. Honestly, everything we’ve tried has been outstanding. The Dough Zone has quickly become one of our favorite spots, and we highly recommend it to anyone who loves authentic, high-quality dumplings and Chinese comfort food. Prices are great as well. Definitely worth the trip!

I would like to mention our server, Anna. She was such "a breath of fresh air!" She came to our table with a beautiful smile and a joyfulness to serve us! I cannot say enough about her eagerness to help us navigate our menus, making recommendations, and guiding us ultimately to an amazing array of outstanding dishes! They were: Spicy Beef Shank Seet & Sour Cucumber Pork & Crab Xiao Long Bao Beef Pancake Roll Pork & Shrimp Potstickers Pork Wontons in Chili Sauce Uber Milk Tea (Cold) Also the ambiance of the restaurant was duly noted. Thank you, Dough Zone, Beaverton! We will happily add your restaurant to our frequent stops!

I really liked the steamed dumplings and the soup dumplings, the buns left much to be desired. Regardless, the food was good. Our server, Alexa was friendly, but was very busy. The atmosphere as a whole was good, but we were seated right next to the kitchen, and thus it was very loud.

Had a little lunch break and came here with our oldest for a meal. We were seated immediately since it was not very busy and the orders were placed immediately. There were quite a few servers but it is also very challenging trying to flag them down as they seemed busy all the time. Food came out fairly quickly and portions, I must say, are very skimpy. Perhaps, due the rise in prices for ingredients, they are trying to keep up but if charging a lot for each item, portions should also be kept reasonable. Taste of food is mediocre. The noodles are of good texture but a little dry to our preference and taste. The dumplings could be better even though, the texture of the skin is good. Would I go back? I would return for the convenience of not having to wait in long lines but I would suggest that servers be a little more approachable because after all, they "suggest" a tip as you pay for your check.

Our first visit! Food was delish and came out very quickly. Best part of our experience was the adorable, bubbly Christina. She was attentive and helpful and checked in frequently to make sure everything was alright even though the restaurant was packed and there were lots of people waiting. Highly recommend the soup dumplings and fried rice that was new on the menu as well as the minced chicken noodles. We will definitely return!

While the other location on River Road offers a beautiful view and a more relaxed dining atmosphere, this one is an individual store located inside a mall. It does have outdoor tables and a spacious setup, so after stopping by the REI store across the street, I enjoyed an early lunch here. I requested that the Xia Long Pao be served hot to prevent the temperature from dropping, and it came out perfectly, maintaining a very high temperature. However, the Kale Salad, which was ordered together, arrived the latest, so I ended up ordering wontons. Unfortunately, the wontons were underwhelming, as they were served lukewarm and the texture of the dumplings became too soft and mushy. The Jia Jangmyun had a slightly instant noodle-like feel to it, but overall, it was decent. The highlight of the meal was the male server's friendly and attentive service. I firmly believe that Chinese cuisine is best enjoyed with tea, and I recommend trying their Oolong tea.
