The Best Pizza in Nashville | Eater Nashville

"The name says it all at this combination pizza and chicken spot from restaurateur Sam Fox (also behind Twelve Thirty Club, Pushing Daisies, The Henry, and other) that’s nestled into Green Hills’ Hill Place shopping center. Wood-fired pizzas and chicken are the main draw, though the entree-sized salads, excellent cocktails, and generally chill-but-upscale environs have made it a popular destination at lunch and dinner. Choose from hand-stretched or Detroit-style pies with all manner of toppings, but don’t miss flavor combinations like the Copper Hat with prosciutto, goat cheese, medjool dates, salted pistachios, and a pile of arugula on top. There’s also a killer happy hour, when beer, wine, and frozen cocktails are fifty percent off." - Ellen Fort

Google
Doughbird delivered a mixed experience during my recent visit. Although we faced an initial hiccup with not having a server assigned to us, the staff quickly made amends by removing an appetizer from our bill and a manager personally apologized, which was appreciated. The standout was definitely the chicken—cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. However, I found the rest of the dishes to be overly salty, which detracted from the overall meal. It's a place with potential and some great items on the menu, but seasoning adjustments could make a big difference.

Google
Amazing restaurant especially between 3pm-6pm Mon.-Fri. when they offer spectacular deals on their generous happy hour menu if you are sitting at the actual bar. All frozen drinks, select cocktails, wine, beer cheeseburgers, hummus with vegetables, roasted peppers, ceaser salads. That’s quite a list! Great managers, bartenders, servers, greeters and kitchen staff all working harmoniously! It’s a big beautiful restaurant with many sitting options including outdoors. On temperate days they even open up the windows to the outside which lets in the fresh air!!

Google
Took our son here for his birthday. It was really good. Service was great! The chicken parmesan was a large portion and flavorful. Pizza was delicious! The French dip was good but definitely not enough meat. It was mostly bread. The rotisserie chicken was flavorful and delicious. Would recommend the cheese sticks for sure. We will definitely go back!

Google
VIBE 10/10. DRINKS 100/10. FOOD 100/10. SERVICE 1000/10. Great pizza with gluten free options (thank you, that GF crust was bangin)! We had the BEST server, ask for Keke! She will put a smile on your face and good food in your belly! This place is also SO cute. Shoutout to whoever designed it! I had to restrain myself from taking one of their cute bar stools home with me haha! Plus free covered parking! It doesn’t get better than that!

Google
Very interesting choice of menus but surprisingly all of them tasted so good! Especially the quinoa that came with salmon was insanely interesting like in a good way. I got the margherita pizza and the dough was herby and fresh. Wish it had more basil though. Waitress was very friendly :) The music in the restaurant was a bit loud so I was having a bit hard time talking to my group, but still food was 10/10!!

Google
First time here and really enjoyed the food. We had wings for appetizers(they were just okay) and I had the chicken pot pie. The pot pie was baked to perfection, crust was buttery and the inside was flavorful. Our server was great and loved the decor!

Google
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Doughbird is an absolute gem! The buffalo wings are nothing short of amazing—perfectly spicy and cooked to perfection. The crispy Brussels sprouts were a delightful surprise, adding a unique twist to our meal. We also enjoyed some fantastic cocktails and cold beer that complemented our dishes beautifully. The highlight of our evening was definitely the Black Truffle Mushroom Pizza. It was rich, flavorful, and simply delicious! A special shoutout to our server, Jordyn, who provided exceptional service throughout our visit. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Can't wait to come back for more!

Google
Had the Gluten-free Copper Hat pizza and a half Mediterranean Salad. Delicious! It has to be noted how good the Gluten-free pizza crust was! Service was excellent! Crowd noise was heavy however. Probably not the best for a romantic night out, however the food is excellent!

Keonna W.

Yelp
Food was all around amazing! The Detroit style pizza was great and the garlic cheese bread.

Harrison M.

Yelp
The food was amazing well seasoned and the Butterscotch cake is a must try. The device was wonderful from the hostess to the waiter it was top tier and you could feel their warmth. The location is beautiful and the atmosphere really allows for a little get away during your dining experience. I would highly recommend.

Yelp
I just picked up a pizza from here and it was beyond good. I got gluten free and the crust was insane! The sauce and flavor is top notch too. I'm so excited to go back and eat in person!! By far the best gf in Nash.

Yelp
Decent pizza previous cpk Wasn't busy the weekend we went. Started with the truffle cheesy bread. It was the best! We even ordered a second lol Ordered a margherita pizza but couldn't finish it because you know the bread was life, not to mention the ranch it was paired with Drinks were decent Definitely wasn't disappointed

Yelp
This review is one that makes me sad to write as I've watched Doughbird make some changes for the worse! Although the food at Doughbird hasn't fully changed, their menu and the availability of some great items has! In addition to this, the portions have shrunk. Our side of broccolini was literally one piece cut into 4. Doughbirds food is good but not great and unfortunately the other aspects don't make up for it. The service was a little slow & restrooms were a little dirty. This restaurant used to feel really intentional and was a favorite spot to bring guests too - now I'm not sure I'd return personally.

Yelp
I'll start by saying the highlight of my Doughbird experience was our waitress. She was so friendly, so patient, and so accommodating. She kept assuring us that all of our orders (despite having additions and removals) were not an issue for her at all, and she completely briefed us on the menu. She even told one of the people at my table that the salad she had ordered often got sent back, and suggested a different salad that would be better. In terms of food, most of what I tried was pretty good! I would say it's above your average pizza joint. In terms of pizza style, I like that they give the Detroit Style option. If you've ever been to Emmy Squared in Nashville, it's just like that, though Emmy Squared does it a bit better. It's a rectangular pizza with a super thick, fluffy base and very crispy edges. Delightful. If you're more of a purist, the handstretched crust is for you. Here's what I tried: -Roasted Tomato & Artichoke Detroit-Style pizza (+ caramelized onions and rotisserie chicken): 8/10 - It was good, I've had better. The base was delicious, and the edges of the piece were nice and crisped as they should be. i felt that there was too much cheese, and there was VERY little tomato sauce. The bites that I did get with the sauce (and the roasted red tomatoes) were delicious and flavorful, though. I regret adding the Rotisserie chicken to it, as it was pretty dry and came in fairly unmanageable chunks. Overall a good meal, and filling as well! -Broccolini: 10/10 - Well roasted, still had a bite to it. The sauce it came in was slightly lemony, and then it was all topped with parmesan for a little salty, umami addition. My brother and I ate it within seconds. -Mac 'n' Cheese: 6/10 - super creamy, but pretty flavorless. I love that they used fusilli (underrated pasta shape for mac), but the sauce needed to be more seasoned and taste more of cheese. My family members also got salads, which they seemed to enjoy. There was a resounding feeling that the wine wasn't great and was a little too warm, but you wouldn't expect your top-notch wine service here anyways.

Yelp
Had dinner at Doughbird Saturday night and it was a great dinning experience. From the food to the excellent customer service. I ordered a margarita which was really good and mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. For my entree I ordered the chicken tenders and Brussels sprouts. All were really good! There was a mix up with our appetizer but our waiter resolved the situation and the manager came out to apologize and check on us. It wasn't a big deal to us but we really appreciated the service! It was a great dining experience!

Yelp
It took 35 minutes to get my pizza. It had to be sitting out for at least 20 minutes. It was lukewarm and cold my the time I finished. Waitress was nice but I am very disappointed.

Yelp
The food is good. We get either half chicken or the pizzas. The prices went up recently with menu changes. they removed the sweet potato topping for pizza. Surprisingly that is good. So with the price increase the value has gone down. Starting to price themselves out of being a regular family destination.

Yelp
This place is very nice, a little dark with the low lights but sets a nice intimate meal setting. Service was good, food came out hot. We got the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer and they had little to no flavor to them so we were disappointed by those. The Butterscotch cake is a must get, it was delicious. Pizza to me was ok, could use a little more cheese. Mac and cheese was delicious. I would say for taste menu is typical Nashville pricing but should be about $5 less overall for taste. Same for the drink I got it seemed to be very weak but overall we did enjoy are experience.

Yelp
Made a reservation before coming for dinner and was glad I did because it was surprisingly crowded at 6pm on a week night. There was still plenty of parking in the garage, which was nice, and we were able to get a spot on the patio. Our server walked us through the menu and made a few suggestions and we ended up just deciding to split a bunch of items instead of getting our own meals. She was super friendly and helpful, so we tried a few of the things she recommended! We started with a pitcher of sangria and the cheese bread. The sangria was really refreshing and fruity and $19 for a pitcher felt like a great deal. The cheese bread was good too, but pretty comparable to any others I've had before. We got a sausage and mushroom pizza (hand stretched), butternut squash pizza (Detroit style) and buffalo wings for our entrees. I really liked the combination of flavors on the butternut squash pizza! The herb ricotta and hot honey combo was super yummy and the crispy brussels on top were a nice touch. I'm glad we got the Detroit style because the hand stretched sausage and mushroom pizza was very basic and definitely skippable. The buffalo wings were also pretty standard, again not bad, but nothing worth coming in for. Overall the service and decor/vibe was really great! The food wasn't mind-blowing so maybe not the spot if you're a major foodie, but for a good decently priced meal it's your place. Our bill ended up being less than $100 for all that food and drinks which I thought was a steal! It also looks like they have happy hour specials until 6 which I will be back to try!

Yelp
Wow. Wow. Wow. We only ordered takeout but I freaking love this place!! I'm sad I moved from Nashville because this would definitely be a great go to spot. We had the mozzerella sticks, wings, pizza and the Ingredient salad with rotisserie chicken. Their pizza is amazing -- crust is a great thickness but still crunchy! (See pic ) Great amount of toppings! Everything was super fresh. I can't wait to come back and try more and eat inside! The vibe is really cool. There's a reason for all the good reviews!

Yelp
It was our first visit around 7pm on a somewhat busy Saturday night. We opted for the bar vs waiting 20 mins for the dining room. Our bartender was friendly and kept our drinks flowing. I had a glass of "The Seeker" Riesling and my partner opted for an Old Fashioned made with Elijah Craig. The wine was great and inexpensive. Paired nicely with the Hawaiian pizza! The Old Fashioned had the perfect ratio of liquor & bitters, and tasted superb. The dry rub on the wings was a great combination of sweet and zesty! Restrooms were clean and well stocked. Parking was a breeze to find & FREE (which speaks volumes for Nash!) We will definitely return.

Yelp
What a fabulous neighborhood addition! We sampled our way through the menu and found several standouts. Most notable is the thick crust Brussels and butternut squash pizza. Oh my! We did try a few of the thin crust pizzas as well but didn't find them to be anything exceptional... so my recommendation is to choose the Detroit style crust! That takes it up a full notch! Truffle cheese bread. Oh ya. Guac and Pimento cheese served in the same appetizer? You bet. The bar set up is great. Lots of space. This place is going to crush it.

Yelp
We have been meaning to stop by the place and finally had the chance to. Plenty of garage parking but little tricky to find the restaurant entrance (FYI it's through the garage). I will say staff gets 4-5 Stars! The host was fantastic and nice. The manager checked in and great customer service. Our server was fantastic, attentive and really great! The decor inside is nice and lots of booths and table seating. I am still don't quite understand how the decor and the food concept connect, so that threw me off. The bar itself is nice and those bartenders were working hard! The sangria was great (not too sweet which was nice), plenty of good beer and drink options to please all! The avocado salad was good with lots of bacon in it. Happy we could order a half order, which was great to share. We went with the mushroom & sausage pizza (we asked for no mushrooms on a side for our little). The pizza was okay but not the best I've had in the area. Ingredients and flavor were just okay for us. Best part of the pizza was probably the mushrooms they used and crust. We did have a hand stretched pizza rather than Detroit, so maybe that was it? ‍ We went with the teriyaki wings and again not really wowed by them. Sauce felt like more a bbq sauce and they were just wings. Definitely not in our top 5 for local wing places. Their ranch dressing is pretty good. All in all, the star was the staff, but the food was a little underwhelming after seeing all the other Yelp reviews! Maybe it's what we ordered and we'll try something else next time.

Yelp
Lovely meal and great service! Get the Brussel sprouts & mozzarella sticks! The chicken tenders were really nice-crispy outside and tender inside.
google avatar

Lindsey J.

Yelp
Dined with a group of 5 on a Saturday afternoon and service ran at a slower pace, but our waitress was very professional. The Truffle Cheese Bread absolutely delivered with 6 slices - enough for everyone to try. A hand-stretched pizza is big enough for two to share! We made it a meal by ordering some Crispy Brussels Sprouts on the side.

Yelp
The new kid on the block in Green Hills is turning heads with stellar reviews on numerous platforms. Doughbird offers exactly what their name implies; pizza and chicken. With delicious pizza options on both traditional and thick Detroit-styled crust, clever toppings range from charred corn and jalapeños to herb ricotta and spicy honey. The truffle cheese bread is also worth ordering, with an ample trio of cheese on crispy, thick bread with a wonderfully unique and tangy house-made marinara. The crispy ranch chicken sandwich is definitely a highlight. The shredded lettuce is mixed with ranch dressing, and the provolone-topped fried chicken breast has a thin, beautifully crispy batter. The warm butterscotch cake is another highlight, resembling a cross between crème brûlée and a blonde brownie topped with vanilla bean gelato. We got our appetizer an hour after we ordered on a Friday night, and the entrées arrived about 90 minutes after ordering. So the service is going to be painfully slow on a weekend because the place is packed and the cooks are either slow or understaffed. We also highly recommend reservations! But our server was fantastic and kept us happy and entertained despite the slow kitchen.

Yelp
I was very excited to try this new spot in Green Hills, and Doughbird did not disappoint! Without a doubt, the mozzarella sticks were the best I've ever had in my life - and this sentiment was echoed by the two people I was with. I wished for more sauce, but I always do, so I'm ready to admit that's a personality flaw of my own. The prime rib dip sandwich hit all the right notes -- I could not stop talking about the bread it came on! So soft and just ... yum. Oh and the shreddy Caesar salad ?!?!?! Love. I'd come back just for that. Our waiter was so nice! I checked the receipt and I think his name was Matt? Hi Matt :)))))) Will 100% be back to sample more of the mouth watering menu items!
google avatar

Kristin O.

Yelp
The ambiance is great and there's always something for everyone on the menu, whether a date night, bringing visitors to town, or a family night out. We have been here about 5 times and the service has been quite slow at least 3/5 times. So don't come here if you're in a rush!
google avatar

Bailey P.

Yelp
I've heard so many good things since this place officially opened their doors a few weeks ago. The food is definitely the highlight but the service and ambiance earns high remarks. I came on a Tuesday night and it was fairly busy, especially for it being a week day. I was between ordering the ingredient salad and the butternut squash pizza. Our waitress had nice things to say about the salad and so that's what I went with and it did not disappoint. There was so much flavor. I also added rotisserie chicken to make it more do a complete meal. I definitely hope to come back soon to try the pizza!

Yelp
I was on my way to California Pizza Kitchen and low and behold it wasn't there anymore. Luckily I still found pizza! New Doughbird pizza opened today, just hours before my little adventure. How did I know? My server was friendly and I got seated right away. He recommended the Spicy Hawaiian pizza...I mean...do I look like someone who puts pineapple on pizza? Because I am... how did he know? Because of my controversial pizza preferences I am no stranger to dining alone. I was glad to be treated with the same courtesy as a larger group. I tend to be a big tipper...do you think he knew? When my pizza came out I saw that the pineapple had been caramelized before they put it on the pizza and it was the most delicious pineapple I have ever had. Almost like an upside down pineapple cake. The palette was balanced with the spicy jalapeños and savory ham. The chili oil on the table was a nice topping and overall it was a luxurious dining experience with casual prices. IYKYK...and now you know!

Yelp
Just stopped in for a quick bite after a work meeting with clients. Wonderfully fresh salad, and these little pepperoni cups are killer!!

Yelp
Traveling from out of town and this place is my new found gem in Nashville! Food, Drinks, and service were excellent.

Yelp
Loved this pizza place! Simply cannot go wrong with a nice pizza and wine. Would 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time last night! The pizza was delicious! I love the small pepperonis they use! Our waitress was so positive and upbeat and provided amazing service! It was pretty crowded but service was very quick and the music was provided a great atmosphere! The management staff was attentive to the patrons! I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Enjoyed a stop here this past weekend. Wait time was reasonable, about 15 minutes on a Sunday evening at 6:00. Tried a couple of pizzas, one on Detroit crust and the other stretched. I preferred the Detroit style, but that's just a personal preference. Both were very good. Not quite Emmy Squared, but a good option nonetheless. Worth a visit if you are in the market for pizza. Kid had a burger, fries, and Mac and cheese, which he licked the bowl of once finished so I'd say he was pleased as well!
google avatar

Yelp
If I'm being completely honest, I'm not crazy about dough or bird. They say picky eaters will outgrow being picky eaters and I'm proof that's not always true. But hubby and I were looking for something different for date night tonight so we gave it a whirl. And it came to PLAY! Hot damn! 1. You need a reservation. Just like everywhere else in town these days. Yes, you can walk in and take your chances but just go on Open Table and plan ahead a little. I got a same day reservation just fine with a little advanced planning. The very limited number of availibilities told me it must be worth the wait. 2. The reviews mentioned some happy hour specials and Brussels sprouts, which we tried and both were really good. Really good. Reviews also highly regarded their mozzarella sticks but that just seems like such a throwaway dish. I couldn't bring myself to waste time and calories on that. 3. The lesser reviews dinged the restaurant for service. I will say everyone we encountered from hostess stand to wait staff to management was warm and approachable and friendly and welcoming. 4. CPK is a distant memory. They've done a lot of work in there and it's cute. Nice vibe and, despite a full house on a jammin' Friday night and being seated near the bar and kitchen, it wasn't loud and we could carry on a conversation. 5. Entrees. The main event. Husband got the pizza with prosciutto, goat cheese and arugula. Said it was inspired. I got the butternut squash pizza. Listen to me: I don't like pizza and I devoured this thing. I felt guilty as I wasn't sure if it was dinner or dessert. It had squash, Brussels sprouts, fontina, and ricotta and a good dose of Heaven. Holy Moly. And although I've raved about their pizza, they have lots of other items: chicken tenders, wings, salads, burger, sammies, fish and so much more. I can't wait to go back but I can't promise I won't order the exact same thing again.
google avatar

Pete C.

Yelp
what a nice calm clean place I had the aviator pizza well done gluten-free all I can say is OMG that was the best pizza I've had in a long time and thank you Grace you're very good waitress, listening to old man talk
google avatar

Christina D.

Yelp
Came here for a weekend brunch with 2 others. Together, we shared the brussels sprouts, Copper Hat pizza, and chicken tenders. The chicken tenders and brussel sprouts were both good, but the copper hat pizza really stole the show! The pistachios gave it a nice crunch, the goat cheese and prosciutto a savory touch, and the dates a slightly sweet ending. The crust was both fluffy and crispy at the same time. Definitely recommend if you're looking for gourmet Detroit style pizza.
google avatar

Lara S.

Yelp
I was super excited to try this place and the food did not disappoint. The pizza was probably some of the best I've had in Nashville. I highly recommend adding the caramelized pineapple as a topping! My friend loved her salad and the cheesy bread was good too. The reason why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is mainly due to the service. Everything took longer than it needed to take. Also, my friends got the pitcher of sangria, but said the sangria was not good so if you're considering getting it, maybe don't.

Elizabeth W.

Yelp
Ambience was nice. Food was extremely okay.. I got the avocado salad which was heavily dressed, I regretted not getting dressing on the side and the "smash burger" which was not a Smashburger at all, it was just a regular burger that seemed like a preformed patty. But the worst part about the experience was the service. I sat at the bar and the bartender was so rude on several different occasions. I'm not sure what I did to offend him, maybe he was having a bad night, but that's not my fault. I will say that the hostess was extremely sweet but that's not enough to bring me back. Would not recommend.

Paula C.

Yelp
Love this place! Went to Doughbird for the first time last night. We didn't have a reservation and got there at 6:30 on a Friday so it was packed but we were lucky enough to get to seats at the bar right away! Definitely seems like a family oriented spot but also a good place to go get a casual drink after work. The bar service was amazing! Our server Tim was awesome and on top of it even though they were super busy. The food was delicious! We did not try the pizza this time but the wings, sandwich, and salad were all great! Very reasonably priced for Nashville. 5/5 will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Service has sadly changed since they opened-the server was very rushed and even took the dessert from table before it was completed so he could take the check. Food was good but some items like the chicken strips tasted as if they had been under a heat lamp for a while. The server did not offer additional drinks. Does not feel like a team environment anymore and there is no longer anything t that sets this apart from another chain restaurant. Visit was Monday 3/13 at close (left at 9:05 pm when the restaurant still had a large number of tables).

Eunyoung L.

Yelp
Their food is really good when you get it. We've been here 2 times. The first time was midday on a weekday. Not busy. We ordered the chicken tenders and 2 pizzas. Waited over 40 minutes for our food. Our server wasn't very attentive either. Only offered my husband for a drink refill when we got our check and forgot the side of sauce for my tenders twice. The second time we waited 15 minutes and wasn't even approached by our server. We took it as an indication that our food would take as long as last time or even longer. So we decided to leave and probably won't be back again.

Tristan C.

Yelp
Definitely a go to place this was our first time going and it was fantastic our waitress was also amazing I would highly recommend this place for anyone in Nashville!

Yelp
This is one of our favorite date night spots!! So delicious!! Great drink selection, friendly staff, and the spicy Hawaiian pizza and crispy Brussels will knock your socks off!

Yelp
Food was bomb! Try the Spicy Hawaiian Detroit Style and get the wings, dry rubbed with lemon garlic sauce. Start with their Shaved Brussels salad. Service was great! Our waiter Troy was attentive and helpful to provide recommendations. Ambiance was casual !

Yelp
Came in for happy hour. Good spicy margarita and frozen pina colada. Delicious truffle cheese bread. Tasty Detroit-style pepperoni pizza. Liked that the dough was light and airy which didn't overstuff me. Enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. Jade and Lori at the bar were very nice. Free parking in the attached garage is a plus.

Sunina G.

Yelp
Checked out this place last Thursday for girls night. To start off, we shared a pitcher of the sangria and it was delicious! One of my friends needed some caffeine and asked for an espresso martini that wasn't too sweet, and they were easily able to meet that request. For a starter, we got the cheese bread and it was yum! That was followed by the Detroit style bbq pizza and the margherita hand stretched pizza. Those were only okay. We felt like the bbq pizza was too sweet and the crust a little undercooked for Detroit style pizza and that the margherita pizza needed more flavor in the crust and sauce. We did love the ambiance though, so will probs be back for drinks and appetizers!

Yelp
Very disappointed in the pickup process. I followed all directions and waited in the curbside space #4. At 3:15 I went inside as nothing seemed to be happening. I went inside and there was no one to help. The hostess sent me to the side saying there would be someone to help me in "just a sec." After 5 minutes there was still no one. Eventually someone came and said she would check, had my pizza on the counter getting cold while French fries were being made. After 5 minutes waiting for the French fries she came back and then needed to make my drink. I ended up with a cold pizza. Very disappointing. And more disappointing that I had given a tip at order, but the service never materialized. Please do better.

Yelp
Tried Doughbird today and was pleasantly impressed. First thing I would say is get a reservation. The place is busy. The restaurant is very nice and there is plenty of space for larger parties. The food is good. We had a little everything. The wings were good and I recommend stepping out the box and trying the lemon garlic sauce. It's really good if you like garlic. Next we had the hummus and I was nervous about ir but it was good as well. The pizza comes in two options. Either Detroit style or hand stretched. We chose Detroit style. The pizza is a little small for the pics but is made with very fresh toppings. Overall I will be back to try some more food.
google avatar

Zoraida K.

Yelp
The food has been very good for my 2 visits. They fixed the service issue that plagued the California pizza kitchen but didn't change the footprint at all.
google avatar

Brian K.

Yelp
Reviews As far back as I can remember, this was a California Pizza Kitchen which lacked the trendy vibes & fun food variety of the new tenant. Although the pizza wasn't perfect, the wings, Brussel Sprouts, and butterscotch cake was on point. This layout bugs me though. Most folks will enter from the rear, but during high volumes expect to wait outside in a limited space, so reserve a table. Other minor annoyances, like the waiter not providing serving spoon for neither the sides nor our pizza. They also left the menus on the table which seemed wasteful since they appeared to be reusable based on the card stock & the catch all under the counter. Bathroom is small but nice, with a touch of class and a Dyson dryer. With a few tweaks, this place is poised to do well.

Yelp
I visited Doughbird a few months ago when I was in town visiting a friend. She had been here before and thought it would be a place I'd like so we came for dinner. We arrived about an hour before close and put our name on the list for a party of 2. We were told about 5 minutes but ended up waiting closer to 15-20 which was odd as we saw other people walk in and get seated before us. There were also many open tables. Maybe it's because we stepped outside but we think they may have forgotten about us or thought we left. Either way this wasn't ideal but it is what it is. I ordered the rotisserie chicken with the lemon garlic sauce and their mac and cheese. All components of the meal were delicious and well seasoned. Our server didn't seem pleased to have a table sat about 30 mins prior to close but I don't think it's fair to treat us negatively because of it. We were there much earlier and ready to be sat. The food is what is making up the 4 stars and it probably would have been a full 5 if better service had been received.

Yelp
Food was DELICIOUS!!! Such a cool place, great design. The server recommended a specific dessert (butterscotch something) and it was absolutely amazing. I would give 5 stars, but there was a bug in my drink--pretty sure it was just a gnat. I very discreetly removed the bug. I didn't say anything to our server because everything else was so great. I definitely recommend Doughbird--will be going there again!

Yelp
I normally don't write Yelp reviews but I'm very disappointed. Would have sent back if I was dining in but picked up to go. Think it was a pizza someone else had already sent back and they kept it for to-go orders. It was cold and rubbery. Was shorted on my added items: sausage, basil, & prosciutto. Where is the sauce and cheese? This is supposed to be a margarita pizza... Usually dine in and get the chicken which is great, but should've stuck with Jets.

Yelp
When entering into Doughbirds, you're welcomed by a friendly, hostess or host. I selected to sit at the bar as it was fully open and available. The bartender greeted me and told me she would be with me in the moment. As I entered I noticed the beautiful ambience of the restaurant, the green hues and the urban boutique look. I ordered frozen Miami Vice and also the spicy blackberry margarita. Both drinks were very great. I wanted to try a variety of items on the menu, so I ordered the aviator pizza, Caesar salad, and the dry rub wings. All came out in a timely manner at an appropriate temperature and I was offered additional sides of ranch dressing since that's what I requested. Overall my experience was wonderful. You can also make reservations via the OpenTable app and possibly on yelp I'm not completely sure. The website was user-friendly and I believe this is a place I would return to.
