Sunday dinner that lasted 3 days. Good serving sizes. Taste good. I got the herbal wings, mac and cheese and greens and it came with a piece of cake. Black owned

This was my first time coming here. I found them because they were close to where I live. I got the #2 combo: 2 catfish fillets, spaghetti, a side salad, and roll. The catfish and spaghetti was good. I liked how it came with a salad instead of a typical fry. You actually get decent sides. The only issue was that my roll had mold on it. I was very disappointed because I had already took a lil piece off of it. It had green on the roll. So even tho the food was good, having the moldy bread in with my food turned my stomach. I don’t know if someone is checking the freshness of the food but after seeing mold the food wasn’t as good as it was before and it was a constant reminder of why I just stay at the crib and cook. It’s thought I would treat myself and then it’s moldy bread in the same box with my food. Had high hopes as they fish and spaghetti was good. But disappointed about the moldy bread.

The good, the tilapia was outstanding as well as the grilled chicken salad. The customer service was great. The bad, I live 5min away, the spaghetti was ice cold which means it was cold when they packed it and the rice & beans were just not good. Overall I would go back & give a second chance to get it right.

So my partner and I are food reviewers and we purposely went into this establishment without telling them that we review food as a profession because we wanted to get the food that they served to the public And not “influencers”. Here’s my review: the red beans with rice and the macaroni tasted like they were from yesterday, the fried chicken was dry and overcooked, the greens were fresh but lacking seasoning, the “catfish” was Swai and there was more breading than fish, the herbal wings were OK, the spaghedough was good, the cornbread was a bit dry but very good, the sour cream cake was very good as well, and the Judy juice was a 10 out of 10🔥 they took over an hour to give me my jerk salad after previously telling me that it would take 20 minutes— the salad had a lot of chicken, which was great but no other ingredients other than peppers and lettuce🥲 no cheese, no boiled egg, no cucumber to balance out the spice. Overall experience, 6 out of 10 would not recommend. We drove a total of a 2 1/2 hours for food that was subpar—this food was not worth $73 but the customer service was GREAT! They deserved the 20% tip that I left for their hospitality 💯

jerk chicken salad. very tasty. I would only recommend that they add more greens to balance out the amount of meat.

The herbal wings are excellent! This jerk salad is phenomenal. The greens are always fresh and the chicken is superb.

5 stars!!! We stopped by Doughboys for dinner tonight and ordered the wings, spaghedough and jerk chicken nachos. Everything was a hit but the spaghetti or spaghedough is the best I’ve ever had, didn’t think anyone could make it better than me :) Staff were friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was dope! Love the artwork and vibe inside. Look forward to trying their other options when we return. Will be back soon.

Upon entering, there was a football game on the tv. But the inside is so chill. It has a variety of artists, actors, activists etc on the wall. I loved loved loved everything about it! I heard about this place originally through tik tok and it was about the Sunday plates. So of course I had to try it! It was sooooooo good I don't know where the candied yams went! It well all well seasoned and plenty I may have to go back to get a plate home to go! I was in Chicago for the weekend and I had to find soul food!! Not only was the food amazing. I had the pleasure with speaking to Nicole (the owner). It's rare that you get to sit and actually speak with the owner. The topic ranged from football to the local area. If you want to feel at home and also very full (like me) this is the place to go! Will be back on my Next visit!

Great food especially the seasoned wings and spaghedough. The Judy Juice is a knockout as well. We always get delivery and the service has been great each time. They did some catering for a couple of our parties, everybody loved their food. Overall a great experience!

I am always looking for a new place to try for lunch and I have seen IG Stories about this location and knew I had to try it. I ordered through Uber Eats. Food came pretty fast. I ordered Catfish Filet, Shrimp, Wings, Spaghedough, and Judy Juice. All Flavor wise was there. My came a little limp (Not Crunchy) But it may have been the travel from the restaurant to my job. The Spaghedough was just okay. The Judy Juice was a little too sweet for me. I would like to give this restaurant another try by either not having it delivered or ordering it fried hard. Price Range was average.

My fiancé really enjoyed the jerk flavored tilapia. He said it was delicious and something he has not tried before. He would definitely get it again. He said the spaghedough was different but he liked it. It was made with turkey. We ordered a grilled chicken salad, I thought the chicken was very good and seasoned well. My only complaint would be the salad itself was small and they forgot my roll. I didn't feel it was worth what I paid, which was about $13 or so. Lots of street parking nearby, easy access to restaurant.

I'm new to the area and remembered I had driven past this place a few times dashing and figured I'd give them a try. I really had a taste for Jamaican so opted to get the jerk salad but then realized the ballin on a budget menu had lots of things I was interested in so I ordered the catfish nuggets, jerk salad and spaghedough. The catfish nuggets were okay imo. big portion but would have preferred a more flavorful and crunchy batter. My fries were soggy. Maybe I caught a bad batch of chicken in my salad, but the jerk chicken was crazy salty and hard. My favorite by far was the spaghedough. I probably am biased because I love spaghetti and don't think anyone can make it wrong. I did notice chunks of mushrooms and sausage, as I inhaled the snack sizes portion in a few bites, but I can't remember if there were any other surprises in it. Customer service was great. I was greeted at the door when I arrived, my food was ready and labeled I would go back because the service and spaghedough - maybe even to try something else

I've ordered from here twice and the grilled chicken salad is great. The seasoning and taste of the grilled chicken is what actually makes the salad since it only includes onions, tomatoes, and multi colored peppers...I usually order and add boiled eggs and cheese when I get home lol. Also the Judy Juice / Kool-Aid is bomb. Get you some.

Sent me one chicken strip I ordered a 3 piece Pizza puff meal and fries were Burnt and they left my food on the ground I don't play that

The food is super delicious and the prices are berry reasonable. The cheesecake is a must have! I enjoy the chili and chicken. Also don't forget the Judy juice. The manager is very professional and courteous

Oh this food is Goodt! I enjoyed the chicken and love the spaghetti. It's just the right sweet. Now let's discuss the collard greens... OMG! I don't even like collards! Theirs are absolutely perfect! They are flavorful and tender. Where they do that at?! Oh the salad!...Fresh! The sliders were good too! I have already gone back! This is definitely a treat for me.

I like to read the reviews before deciding to order from an unfamiliar place. Unfortunately, I hadn't seen the comment about the greens before I added it to mine. Upon handing them to my wife for tasting, her first words were "everybody can't cook greens". She explained that they lacked flavor, precisely what I read in one of the earlier comments. Otherwise, our meals consisting of catfish, chicken wings, spaghetti, salad and rolls were pretty good. It arrived in a reasonable amount of time. I won't dismiss it from future consideration, minus greens.

I had a taste for spaghetti and knew their recipe would not disappoint. While ordering I discovered they also offered a turkey burger. Say less! My dinner was delicious and fresh, seasoned to perfection.

Food and service here is always great. Food seasoned well and spaghedough tastes like family reunion spaghetti!. The worlds greatest greens are REALLY good as well.

Everyone enjoyed their meal, which is enough to get a 5 star rating! Fried wings and catfish had great crunch and taste, while the inside was perfectly cooked. I typically don't try most peoples spaghetti. But I figured since it was featured on the website, I'll give it a shot. It was excellent. The bonus was the little roll, which was slightly sweat! Will definitely go back!

As much as I wanted to support and give a small business a great rating, I have to be honest and cannot. Ordered the combo that is chicken, side salad and spaghetti. I also paid extra to order a small greens. I did not get my salad. The greens had no flavor. I mean NONE. Straight up bland. And I ordered close to open so expected the food to be fresh, hot, flavorful. First and last time supporting this business.

OMG the food was sooooo good!!!! The spaghetti omg I ordered delivery and I'm debating on saving my husband some nope I'll order him some later.

The delivery was fast, food hot, and tasty. First time every ordering or eating here! I recommend give it a try.

I was excited to try this place out. But it looks like their employees are more focused on getting high than taking orders and making food correctly. Don't forget that smell is in your clothes and it can turn a customer away! Never again. -Natasha

This is my second time visiting this establishment my first visit I had the wings fried hard spaghetti and greens it was amazing the second time I came I bought a large spaghetti and a large greens and the chocolate chip cookies I have not been disappointed next time I'm going to try the fried fish this place is approximately 71st right off King drive going west street parking

I just had the vegetarian plate from here and it was delicious. The collard greens were delectable and the spaghetti was sooo tasty, add the mixed veggies and hush puppies and it was an awesome meal. I will definitely return for this dish!

This little cozy spot was found while I was searching for Spaghetti. I ordered online and then went to pick up my order. I ordered catfish and spaghetti as well as some wings. I was starving so the wings never made it out the car. However, I later ate the catfish and spaghetti. No complaints!

This place was soooooo good! I got the combo #3 with a slice of the sour cream cake! Everything I had was fresh, hot and tasty! Plus I love the addition of the side salad and a roll. Made me feel like I cooked it at home. This was my first time eating here and definitely not my last. I had to take the time to write this because this sour cream cake is filled with the Holy Spirit! Thank you!

Food was fast. Made fresh. My only complaint was that my chicken was fried too hard. Judy's Juice was amazing!

THIS PLACE Never disappoints!!! The food is always fresh and delicious. My favorite is the Dofriesen Turkey burger!! EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT!!!
