Dover Street Counter

This place has such a wonderful atmosphere, the music is at a perfect level with a great track selection. We enjoy siting at the counter as we could see all the action from the bar an kitchen. The food is amazing and the service on point.

Beautiful restaurant and ambience, delicious food and impeccable service! It’s pretty expensive (£17 for a green salad!) but lovely for a special occasion. I wanted to shout out our waitress but sadly forgot to ask her name. Edit: shout out Ayat! (Found her name on the receipt) 💖

We booked well in advance for this place, as we now it is quite a popular place. The service and ambience is amazing- great location and felt very private. Sitting at the counter was great, the decor is great and it’s great seeing the chefs at work. We got the beef and fries which was good, but the peppercorn sauce could be a bit more flavourful. We also got the cheeseburger which was great- the ketchup was the star. We ended with a cheesecake and vanilla ice cream- both went great together. Price was roughly £90 for two which is on the pricey side but worth it.

Obsessed!!! The food, the vibe, the service - everything is perfect. We loved the tuna melt, the sea bream goujons, the sea bass fillet and the disco fries (apple pie was decent). The counter style seating gives you a front seat view of the chefs at work, which was really fun. Our server was lovely and attentive, and the service was pretty quick. The music is a whole vibe, perfect for a date night or a pre-night out. Will be back!

Food and atmosphere were excellent! Loved being seated at the counter to watch prep. Had to wait a bit for my table to be ready, waiter who led me to my table just left without giving me a menu and didn’t say that I had to order from the bartender.

WORTH THE HYPE 🎯 Dover Street Counter is the new sibling to the team behind Martino’s in Sloane Square and the Dover just around the corner, and it looks exactly how you’d expect. Proper Mayfair polish, soft lighting, and service that’s attentive and friendly without being stiff. What really elevates it for me is the food, music, and value. The menu leans into relaxed Americana and it’s genuinely delicious. Their take on a Big Mac is an absolute must. There was a lot of plate envy at our table, with everyone trying to nick bites from each other. Prices feel fantastic for the location and quality. The music was a joy too, loads of 90s and early 2000s hip hop and R&B, which gave the room a fun, communal energy. We sat in the back dining room, which I’d strongly recommend. The counter is lively but a bit odd, especially with people standing behind it doing very little. Great for dates, family meals, or a relaxed night out.

What a great new London spot. Service was top notch, food was on point, and music… full of millennial bops (10/10 for me). Highly recommend for a date night and found it to be good value. Excellent cocktails as well. Will definitely be back.

Food was very easy nothing complicated. What stood out was the service particularly our waitress (Iyat) who was so lovely and well knowledgeable in F&B details. Music was amazing classic RnB vibes!
