Walking into this store felt like stepping straight into a world of luxury with glowing displays, impeccable lighting and rows of high-end brands that immediately catch your eye. Miu miu, The Row, Balenciaga, Comme des Garçons and so many new artists I had never heard of. Everything was beautifully curated, from the statement pieces to the subtle everyday essentials that still felt elevated. What surprised me most was that, despite how upscale the place is, it never felt intimidating. The staff was welcoming without being pushy and the whole atmosphere had that perfect balance of elegance and comfort. Every item felt thoughtfully selected, high-quality and genuinely unique. Whether it was accessories, clothing or standout designer pieces, the store made it easy to fall in love over and over again. If you want a taste of luxury that feels accessible, inspiring and totally worth the splurge, this spot is a dream.

Hello I was in town visiting with my a&r team earlier this week As I was looking at the different clothing pieces I was intrigued by a piece I asked for help and for 10 mins no one showed up mind you the store was empty. After finally being greeted by an employee I was asking prices and sizes on a few things the black light skin girl was giving me an attitude saying “ahuh yeah” “what else” She followed with grunting. After a short interaction I hear her talking about our interaction with another employee as their walking they give me a look. This isn’t professional at all I’ve been to multiple Dover street locations and this is by far the worst experience I’ve had. I didn’t end up buying anything based from what experience I had Update: I called in and apparently she’s the managers at that store

Amazing selection of designer clothing! This is not a store to find discount designer clothing! For the stylists, you also cannot pull/rent here (they are a store so think like a Nordstrom). Otherwise, amazing brands and the store layout is cool. The staff are also all very nice and helpful!

My first time to DSMLA, and wow what a space and nicely curated pieces. The boy that helped us was so nice and friendly, sadly couldn’t recall his name. We came at the last half hour of closing, and he was patient and walked us through the space and explained each collection. This was one of the highlights during my LA trip!

The location seems pretty modest from the outside and based on the location, however, once you walk in it feels like a venue for a fashion show. They offer brands ranging from mid to very high tier price points and designers. You can find the latest streetwear, sneakers, loungewear, formal, casual, and all kinds of apparel and accessories. Check it out if you've never been!

I love shopping at Dover Street Market Los Angeles. The blend of high-fashion and urban vibes is totally on point. The curated collection of exclusive pieces feels like discovering fashion gold . It’s a go-to spot for those craving something seriously cool and different in the fashion scene.

Been wanting to come to DSM LA for a while as have been to the DSM Ginza location and loved all the merch and vibe of the space. Located in the arts district the LA store is a single story version with lots of high end fashion with a sprinkle of urban brands ( stussy, adidas shoes) and even a little cafe. Staff seem friendly enough but worth a visit if you want to check out unique finds and high end fashion with an artsy feel.

A collection of eclectic and luxury items combined with artistic displays. Reinventing the shopping experience by creating a unique atmosphere for shopping. I love that they carry Jacquemus because it can be hard to know if you like something based on the website alone so that was really nice and I also loved the miu miu collection. However there was mostly street wear styles available as the luxury pieces were a lot more limited. My friend wanted to see the Prada section, but it was so small (and mostly clothes) Customer service was fancy they offered us complimentary drinks (champagne/wine) while we shopped. Parking was easy shockingly they have a parking lot! Overall it was OK, but wish the inventory was more extensive on the items we were looking for, but the focus seems to be something beyond my own person style preference.

Interior of this mega fashion market is interesting and a great time waster to walk around. They have all kinds of fashion brands and displays, just that everything is very very expensive compared to direct retail. Now I never did any research on this place before going in so I don't know if its some kind of third party reseller or whatever, but I can't see myself ever buying from this store. Its nice to see the merch in person though.

A scene. Edgy, creative, fresh quality of high end clothing, shoes and accessories. It's painted white outside. Plenty of street curb parking. You have to walk through this retail boutique to get to their low key cafe called Rose Bakery. The cafe outdoor space had much white, my gf said it reminded her of Greece. Be prepared to feel under-layered when entering Dover Street Market. Everyone seems to be wearing ten thousand layers here. I love the edgy and creative pieces in there! Super unique pieces. But its definitely not a place within my budget to splurge at. Undercover anit-mall feeling type of boutique store? The art and style of retail display to devor is alot of fun. The restroom could be smelly as it didn't seem like there was ventilation when I visited it. The toilet paper was partially soaked? Not a very functional restroom with even it's faucet fixtures. I'm very surprised about the restrooms being only 2 genders. This retail space is located across the street from Lot 613 where burner Halloween parties years back when the art district didn't exist yet or at least expand so far. Great events space.

Let's just say the store needs to start cracking down on people not being here and just leaving their belongings while they go home. People love to bring their buddies claiming they were here when that's not the reality of it at all. Tends to be the same individuals, from what I've noticed previous times. I come to Dover due to their professionalism and dope clothing but they did better when they took roll call for people actually at the store early. Let's hope this place doesn't lose its status to these bad apples.

i loved browsing and looking through everything here it felt like i was in an art museum !! there were so many brands, from well-known popular ones to super niche wealthy ones and it was interesting to see how out-of-the-box designers are creating certain pieces and change the fashion industry with their own style. really out of my tax bracket but i appreciate the art SAUR CAYOOT and unique ahhh

There is a Dover Street market online in Los Angeles, New York, Ginza, Singapore, Beijing, Paris, and Tokyo. They sell Prada, Gucci drops and Collabs, APC, Human Made Madewell, Marcelo Burlon, Rhude, a bit too much Comme de Garçons (so 2009 of them), Yeezy, Collabs involving Palace, Ralph Lauren, Brain Dead, Torishéju, Rick Owens, JW Anderson, Sakai, Nike exclusive drops, and many many more. All of their stuff sells out faster than tickets to Coachella. DSM releases new, awesome shiznit, like, erryday.

Dover Street Market is an ultra high-end multi-brand boutique featuring an exhibition space for various on-trend designer collections. This is one of seven locations in the world (one of the only two in America as of June 2023) and the retail space is hidden in the Arts District. You know this is a really high-end shop when they hire security guards on all entrances *** [Parking]: Free small prive parking lot, but the parking lot entrance is located on 6th St (1444 E 6th St, Los Angeles, CA 90021). [Exhibits]: This retail space offers department store like experience with some of the oddest & unique attire you will possibly find. And price tags? A random leather jacket? That will be $5k. A random sweater? That will be $3k. A pair of sock? That will be $40. A hat? That will be $250. The only reasonable items? Sneakers. I saw some really cool looking Nike sneakers selling for less than $200. There's also a tiny cafe (Rose Bakery) located inside of the retail space. *** Personally the visit felt more like window shopping and most casual visitors probably won't spend thousands on ultra niche attire, but this place is pretty interesting and it is still worth stopping by while visiting the Art District. P.S. - In-store restroom is available.

Great selection. If you come there to shop and not dress stylish , dont come, you dont belong there. The staff are well dressed. Maybe you should go to Walmart. Ask for Anthony, best service

Excellent clothing curation (street wear, high fashion) and displays as well ! It's a unique shop that you could spend an hour exploring because it is so visually stimulating.

About 6 years ago I left a negative review of this store. I had an encounter, while stoned, which left my disturbed. Looking back I'm not sure entirely if it happened. I was paranoid and angry at the time with many other problems in my life before this. And I want to apologize for the harm it could have caused the staff. The management did reach out to me shortly after offering to speak in person or over the phone and offered a discount. That was extremely kind of them. I never thanked them, I didn't even follow up as I moved out of Los Angeles by that point. I caused the trouble here and I want to thank whoever was running the store. It meant a lot and I'm sorry I had never let this be known. I can see more how my reactions cause trouble if left unchecked. I am truly sorry.

Super overrated store. Very low stock. Supreme section are only allowed 1 customer at a time. And each customer is guarded by a sales representative. Like why? Salespeople act like they are way too cool to work here so dumb! Do yourself a favor, just shop online. Whatever you are looking for, they probably don't have it

There's always those little hidden gems that you would never assume to pop up somewhere. This place being one of them. A cool shop in downtown off the main strip. Still part of the air district but hidden in a neighborhood that doesn't seem much of anything. Driving there you wonder if your going the right place as there's nothing around that seems to be opened. And it's more of the industrial area. But when u arrive, you'll be in awe. Street parking is available as well as a private lot in the back. Still from the outside it doesn't seem much. Beside an old and updated graffiti art school bus parked out front. There was a line when we arrived, social distancing. But still from the outside you wouldn't imagine what lies inside. Once inside, about a 10,15 minute wait. Your invited to a shopping Mecca. Oh, hand sanitizing was a must before entering. But inside, your just engulf into fashion and more fashion. There's loads of sections of designers that showcase pieces that you wouldn't normally see in the main retail. As well international designer that's not known unless your in the know. They have your well known, Balenciaga , Gucci, Botegga, Come de Garçon, Supreme, Prada and so on. The pieces are incredible. Loads of couture style pieces. The vibe was and feeling of the shoppers were more of street style. Hipster and fashion maven. Each corner you turn, there's another designer showcasing their craft. As well as the art display and figures. Everything was quite impressive. It's also a Fred Segal vibe with the different designer and layout. As well as a cafe towards the back of the shop. With an outdoor dining area. Each corner is unique in their own way. Display of each piece draws you toward them. A gem in downtown that you would never know existed. From the outside it's just a normal building you would probably just walk by. But inside, it was a shopping haven. Oh, there was an entrance and an exit where the parking was. Heads up, it is pretty pricey for a lot of the pieces. But they are labels, so be prepared and enjoy.

8/26 Gy-Su was AMAZING! She was extremely kind, patient, and accommodating. I've never had such a fabulous experience in a retail shop before. I tried on a lot of different items before making my decisions, which she had no problem with. She made helpful recommendations along the way and even brought us water!! The pasta and tea I had from the cafe were really good too! 9/8 Unfortunately, I was berated and humiliated by an associate named Vanessa today, when I needed to exchange items that no longer fit (as I'd rapidly put on weight within the past two weeks). Vanessa was extremely micro-aggressive and condescending. Two of the items I wanted to return were not in sellable condition according to her/DSM's policy and judgement which I completely understood and had no problem with. When I asked for a bit of clarification (for future instances), Vanessa became extremely combative and accused me of previously wearing said items. Being one of very few Black shoppers there, this was extremely embarrassing and uncomfortable for me because it was simply not true. I assured her I only tried them on during my first visit and again at home, and that the wrinkles she saw in the pieces were from me taking them on and off. She for some reason assumed I was a wardrobe stylist(?), who only purchased things with the intention of returning them after use. At this point I didn't even have a problem with not being able to exchange the items for a different size. I was more hurt that she assumed I couldn't afford to buy nice things for myself, and was the kind of person who scams shoppes by wearing/returning things after use. It's one thing to consider an item un-sellable, I have no problem with that whatsoever, but Vanessa was completely out of line for the accusatory and micro aggrieved remarks she made toward me. If you decide to shop at this location ask for Gy-Su! She's extremely friendly and her professionalism is remarkable.

4 STARS because 1 star was deducted for the long slow lines & lack of service outside at the line.. Since I can't expose my sensitive skin to the harsh UVA rays of the sun (even with wearing a hat, shades, & mask), I opted to walk away after I saw the discouragingly S L O W line in the uncomfortable heat.. Came back later once some bearable shade coverage appeared as the sun moved its direction. If you appreciate adaptive reuse conversions from oversized high clearance industrial spaces with sky light, I strongly suggest a visit to DSM. Maybe visit during the week day to avoid the lines??? Thoughtfully curated inside with avant-garde, haute couture, art gallery, museum design, street wear, & creative installations; Dover Street Market/DSM incorporates a conceptual fusion of edgy, theatrical, & unconventional in pushing fashion forward boundaries. It's an aesthetic ethereal experience & a feeling of inspirational artisanal curiosity... I am glad I returned back to check it out after doing my needed steps in the Arts District, bahahahaha!! I didn't realize it was founded by Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons with multiple locations in Ginza, Beijing, London, NYC, & Singapore. I enjoyed their fine jewelry department as well. Friendly service inside & helpful staff. A few were uniquely dressed to impress with fashion forward styling. Great gift ideas & unique finds that aren't available to the mainstream. The only negative is they close somewhat early (at 6pm), as I wanted to spend more time exploring, LoL! Abundant street parking in this industrial area. Watch out for the street signs.

Art installation/gallery space/streetwear/luxury fashion -- all of the above. No other way to describe LA's DSM outpost -- joining Tokyo, New York, Singapore and Beijing in hosting a truly exceptional curated space for cutting edge fashion in the Los Angeles Little Tokyo Arts District. Follow the deserted industrial warehouse area streets to DSM and their big parking lot. Founded by Rei Kawakubo of Japanese fashion label Comme des Garçons (red hearts on sneakers and t-shirts), DSM shops are a collection of mini-clothing and jewelry boutiques showcasing forward fashion and style that you won't see in mainstream shops. It's mostly $$$$$, but you are looking at limited edition stuff and there are occasional sales which bring things closer to earth. Of course all the Comme des Garcos merch is there. I snagged a Jil Sander sweater, on sale, that is so soft, it feels like I'm wearing a fantastic butterfly cocoon -- or something like that. And the size I wanted was not on the floor. Do not be afraid to seek out assistance, though staff at DSM is 100x cooler than us. My recommendation? Manager Carlos Bachlor. Super nice with an awesome fashion sense, he will drop everything to make it all work out for you. Did he talk me into that fur coat for when LA's temperatures dip low into the 60s? Nah. I did that all by myself. If you have not yet checked out LA's alternative fashion/shopping scene, DSM is a fantastic place to begin your adventure. If sustenance is needed, Rose Bakery is located at the rear of the shop. Sign up for their newsletter and see what's happening at LA's DSM. The art installations alone are worth the trip. You may wind up with a pair of kicks or more on your way out. Sorry, the giant fur is sold.

Well never say never ! I was there again this Christmas holiday 2022 because family n friends wanted to go. We were there around 4 pm and to my surprised some of the brands that used to be there no longer has items on display. Regardless the store is full of stuff to choose from but overall some of the newer brand isn't my cup of tea. One thing that stayed consistent is the coldness from staff. Ended up ditching DSM to shop elsewhere. Maybe I am getting older and DSM just not appealing to me any longer.

I love this store! Great variety, but pricey. I'll normally spend during seasonal sales. Staff is friendly as always. It kind of low-key smelled like s**t in certain areas last time I was there during the holidays, but great experience regardless.

First it can be really hard to find parking here. There are two parking lots but on a busy day if these are full you're in for a challenge. Second once you are inside it can be hard to figure out who works here and then find someone who can help you. The store is very, very different for LA, extremely thoughtful and considered unlike a lot of boutiques in Rodeo or cookie cutter streetwear stores on Fairfax. There is a mix of brands and prices too. You'd be correct in guessing that this place can be expensive but with some exploring, you'll find something you admire in a price range you can agree with. I ended up buying a small item from Palace and was helped out by a sales associate named Patrick. I looked at a couple of items but ultimately decided on something small. He was helpful and informative and showed me where my item would be waiting, where I could check out, and also checked on me as I walked the rest of the store. Although it was extremely busy I still had his attention. I also visited their cafe in the back and had a slice of a chocolate cake with a really interesting flavor. It wasn't too sweet and there was a hint of bitterness that I really liked. This wasn't Starbucks fare, there was a full menu with options I don't think you'd find anywhere else. Overall this was an interesting experience for Los Angeles. I didn't feel like I was waited on hand and foot like in other stores, but I did feel like I could just explore at my own pace and not be cornered into buying something. I would definitely recommend checking the store out if you're in the area but I'd maybe consider an Uber next time.

I'll just say this much the customer service needs work here. The only helpful and customer service oriented workers are in the Supreme section of the Market. Multiple occasions I have come here and browsed other areas of the market or even made a call tot he market and the associate helping me either seems impatient, they didn't want to be there, or wasn't trying to understand me. I browsed the market wanted to see what Palace and Stussy had in stock. I go to the Palace section first and saw a pair of Vans that Palace did a collab on and so I waited until an associate walked by to get some assistance. Took 7-10mins til I could get help (felt like no one was around; I actually asked a security guard to call an associate over come to think of it). Then when an associate came they already had a presence about themselves like I was burdening them which was a bad look already on them. So I proceeded and asked for a size. They replied "I don't know ill see." He came back and said they had my size and would put it on hold. I said "great, I'll look around still, thank you." And he replied "mmkay." As I was in the Stussy section I was curious about a design that Dover did with Stussy. And asked the same associate if the design of the shirt was the same as the design/ font the in black tee since it wasn't out for the customer view. All the other shirts were printed in black font and had this unique DSM design on the front. As I went on to ask him about the black colorway tee he tells me "it's the same." But too my knowledge it was a black shirt with black writing I wanted to see the complete design to see if the font was printed in a different color or style. But he proceeded but making his point and exclaimed a bit more firmly to me "It's the same!" And I don't understand why he couldn't just explain it in a way where it doesn't seem like he is annoyed and I feel like an idiot. Anyway I ended up purchasing the tee and shoes but luckily checkout out with the Supreme team. I can go on about my other experiences but the saving grace of this place are the fellas that work at Supreme and the Security Guards who are always helpful with an questions I may have and display great customer service and character.

Shoutout to the concierge team over at Dover Street. Hanagie and her team always answer my questions on sneaker drops and palace drops as well. I can definitely tell they care about their customers and clients. I've also had the pleasure of speaking with Glenn who has also helped me out multiple times. I've been to the store a few times and the layout is unique and a work of art in itself. Thank you Dover Street Market.

Checked out DSM LA today mostly for the ambush Tokyo popup. I'm familiar with the arts district but,no longer living dt, it's streetscape seems to be forever changing. Ended up walking a few blocks from factory place complex where I parked. Thought I was heading in the wrong direction as the narrow segment of 6th street from Mateo seemed unlikely to open onto a high end fashion boutique, especially when there was no one else out and about. Soon enough though, I happened upon a group of hip youngsters and, loandbehold, the all whiteness of the building facade presented itself before me and, like a prophet on a desert pilgrimage (la midday concrete summer), I felt as though I had found Mecca. One enters through a high security metal gated parking lot. A suited security man opens the door for you. He smiled and seemed friendly enough. The store layout is, typical to the other locations, arranged in small capsule boutiques. These days I online shop so frequently that the thought of stepping into a brick and mortar store creates slight anxiety. The most frequent guest to my home is an amazon delivery package; however, I do have a soft spot for high end retail design, preferably of the conceptual type, and this did not disappoint. Dover street market is designed to be a curated experience. Sure, you can go to Barney's for cdg or vetements but it probably wouldn't be as enjoyable. This location has an outpost of the famed Paris rose bakery. Menu skews to the healthy la side. Outdoor seating area available. Staff was all very pleasant and friendly. Even the other shoppers were friendly. Admired the eyewear and struck up a friendly conversation with a designer visiting from London. Will surely visit again. How glorious to be sipping a macchiato, surrounded by racks of immaculately tailored goods.

DO NOT SHOP @ THIS STORE Customer service is horrible Everyone just stands around and don't even greet you or ask if you need help. A bunch of snobby people who dress poorly thinking they are better then others.

Visited today after a few years, and received one of the worst retail experiences I've ever had: I was checking out a shirt on the Stussy display - when I had picked it up to check out the design, a worker wearing a white stussy t shirt, spiky white shoes, dashed over and immediately said, with much attitude: "can you NOT unfold the display, they're already a showing both sides". I've never more quickly apologized for a misunderstanding that you can't "touch" things on display... for the amount of high end streetwear and luxury goods that are peddled in this store - I've never received a lower bar of service. ANY luxury store wouldn't mind if you took something off the wall/display to see - but here you get yelled at attitude from a worker. Not really a great experience nor what I expected, sure I'll chalk it up to a bad day or that worker having to refold the shirt; but on the Stussy display - keep in mind you can't see the full design, just a square shape preview of the back... and front... I was taken aback from this rude experience - clearly searching "rude" on the yelp reviews here just reflects how poorly trained the workers are - and a reflection of how snobby/toxic some members (who choose to work here) of the streetwear community can be. Sadly disappointed by this experience - and they lost what would've been a customer.

I've been waiting for Dover Street Market to open a location in LA, and I'm so glad they finally have one here. I've been a fan of their New York location for a while because of all the cool designer spaces inside. Although, DSMLA is not as good as the New York location, having a DSM in LA is better than no DSM in LA lol. Also, their parking situation is terrible. It's hard to find street parking, but you can also pay for valet parking. I'd say my favorite thing about Dover Street Market is seeing the diversity in the ways people dress there between the customers and the staff. This is where fashion and streetwear collide, and it's a really interesting place to shop if you're into clothes! I'd highly recommend shopping here when visiting LA.

The Staff are horrible and very rude. Recommend not coming here. I can today for a supreme (Thur.) drop and every staff doesn't greet you. They are very rude for no reason. This place is a huge space and very open inside. I don't know why the staff are very rude for. There is no need. It's like a museum. Very artsy and dope. Other then the building. The staff here are rude and recommend not coming here.

Customer service could definitely use a knock, but engaging with a staff member (after waking around for 15 minutes) was well worth the connection. Store is laid out capsule style with no exterior branding on the building aside the parking lot entrance.

Captivating. Chic. Stellar. Amazing. Singular. Inspiring. Wildly Creative. I may be talking about the woman I saw in the Gucci section at the new Dover Street Market, but I am also talking about the store itself. I've been to the store in London and loved it, and the too funny but too true 'energy work' videos that DSM was posting on IG showing how they were preparing the space were awesome. So many stores move into LA with a sort of resistance -- DSM was embracing the city and all its New Agey quirks. Wonderful. And reminding us that fashion should be fun. CDG and Rei have created an empire on this notion, and DSM LA is clearly founded on a similar idea. It feels like a living gallery inside, from the installations and fixtures in each of the different shops to the way the glass door throws a rainbow across all who enter close to sundown. The salespeople were stylish, warm, talkative, and eager to share all kinds of information about the goods for sale. Zero pretension. When I was there on Black Friday, they had incredible complimentary treats like tiny carrot cakes and coconut chocolate cake, and there is a back patio off of the café that has a wall of long white stucco benches that you can sit on and selfie to your heart's content. And let it be known: there is a certain piece of Danish designer jewelry that I can't seem to get my mind off of. Can a straight mid-40s creative dude rock a black chunky ebony wooden chain? We will soon find out, people.

DSM is a rare gem hidden in the heart of DTLA's Art District. The exterior is as plain as slice bread but the content inside these walls is pure magic. As you step inside the store, you start to get that feeling like a kid at a candy store. DSM is like an art gallery curating some of the world's most influential and avant garde ready to wear pieces on display like Comme des Garcons, Raf Simons, Thom Browne, Gucci, Palace, The Row, Simone Rocha, Maison Margiela plus exclusive collabs like DSM x Nike, Junya Watanabe x Comme des Garcons, Stussy x Comme des Garcons, Jean Paul Gaultier x Comme des Garcons, Gosha Rubchinskiy x Burberry. From high fashion concept pieces to street wear culture brands like Noah and Stussy. DSM has something for everyone. There's also a small collection of fine art books. Mostly photography monograph, exclusive fashion x culture zine like Purple and a few rare books sprinkled amongst the area. Of course, best part of the store is the sneaker collections...from Off White x Nike to Balenciaga and many more. The jewelry space collection is exquisite and it's wall is graced with a piece by Cindy Sherman, (although it would be amazing to see a piece from her "Untitled Film Stills, 1977-1980"). There's also a small cafe in the back of the store (Rose Bakery) in case you need to take a few minutes to marinate what you've just experienced. So stoked that LA has it's very own Dover Street Market. Can't wait for my next visit.

Beautiful store but the customer service is lacking -- possibly the worst I've ever experienced. Kazumi, the older Asian woman with glasses was very impatient and rude. I almost didn't want to buy anything because of her attitude! Who knew a bad shopping experience at a store can ruin your whole day.

We got here at 4:40 and their hours said they close at 5pm. They were super rude and locked the door early. Horrible business practice. I will never shop here again. Unbelievable.

There wouldn't be a need to write this because all the other reviews are spot on with what to expect. I'm not sure what has happened the last year or so but to call what the staff offers as customer service is an insult to retail workers and to the prior DSM image. Brace yourselves for a lengthy review that will no doubt be ignored by the DSM team. I certainly don't expect the royal treatment but this is next level. My last lets say 5 times I have been neglected by the same employee in very similar ways and I know I'm not the only one because I have joked with other random customers that we're never getting the item we inquired on. The focus is the gentleman that runs the footwear section. The guy that's like a discount version of Virgil Abloh who kind of just stands there. I've asked him if they had Salomon's, various ERL, some supreme, etc. in various sizing and the guy just disappears for like 15-20 min then walks back scrolling through his gram. Doesn't acknowledge you and just goes on having conversations with the other employees. I came back a week after saw him there asked for the same pair in the same size, just to see what would happen. I kid you not it was like a reliving the weekend prior. Once he reared his head again I asked if they didn't have it and it was like he was just seeing me for the first time. I let him know once more what I asked for and he then asked another employee to go check the back that he was "busy" helping another customer, I was the only one in that section. My guy had the audacity to the. walk into the room where they hold your items and chills with his phone in hand doesn't even close the door to be discrete. I mean this guys dms must be nutty if he can't be bothered to do the simplest task. And when the other employee he sent came back with the pair I asked what was up with this guy since he had done it before. The employee sighed and sarcastically said "you aren't the first and I'm 100% sure you won't be the last victim". Another notable time I went to get some Christmas shopping done and at this point I'm dreading going to that part of the store but sadly I was doing some shopping for Salomon's. This time I waited to see if literally any other employee would help since my guy was just posted on the Nike section doing what he does best. I must have got him on a good day because after only 5 mins he asked if I needed anything and I gave him the shoe & size. And just when I thought I was too soon to judge my guy disappears only this time he doesn't come back lol I left went to bodega and got the same pair and wrapped at the row all in about 8 min. Honestly every encounter with this guy is miserable and I know for a fact at least one employee and a handful of customers feel this way. I mean if your own staff feels like that something isn't right but it's DSM you go for the clothes not the people. Just be warned unless you're dripped head to tippy toe with Hypebeast gear you probably won't get help from this guy. Aside from that the intersection of Palace, Margiela and Kiko smells like BO and the last few Jordan 1/ Yeezy drops are getting backdoored but thats not news to anyone. Honestly idk what is going at this store anymore.

Came here to check out the store and buy the CDG Converse shoes. Parking is okay so no real issues there. Waited in the shoe section for about 20 minutes and not a single worker greeted me or told me if I wanted to check out a particular size. All the workers just randomly paced around, bunched up in the back and talked among themselves. Had to go directly to them to another section and ask a worker. Horrible customer service, I get better service at Walmart. I didn't bother buying the shoes, I'll buy the converse at Nordstrom when they come back in stock.

Location is beautiful, variety is plentiful and the staff is gorgeous. However they're all very condescending, rude, and not helpful. Came for a exclusive release and after waiting in line for a pretty long time they 1. Gave me the wrong sized items & unfortunately i didn't notice until i got home 2. Acted as if doing their job was a burden. They do have items you can't easily find online so that is definitely a perk but the lack of service isn't worth coming out here for. Better off going to Barney's ‍

Dover street market offers an interesting shopping experience. The shop is filled with amazing artistic displays representing each brand. With so many options and styles that fill the shop it was hard to know where to begin. Thankfully, Dan was patient and helped me navigate the shop and grabbed all items I was interested in. I left with A LOT of supreme and some new sunglasses. Dan also helped me with boxing the items and carrying them to my car! It was a great shopping experience and the workers made it fun and personal.

Gorgeously displayed high end street wear! I absolutely love the concept of this art/fashion/retail market. The clothing is placed within art pieces ranging from Gucci to Sci Fi and Commes des Garçon! There are art installations hanging from the ceiling on the floor and basically everywhere you look. There's a little coffee shop in the back, which looks like it would be a good workspace with outdoor seating as well. Parking lot available, don't waste your time looking for street parking like we did!

A lot of people complained their customer service, but not happened to me. Shopped here 5 times, every single time I was helped with nice staffs. There are so many fun brands and young designers brand, such as Noah, brain dead and undercover. I'll come back for more and more. Haha! One of my favorite shopping places.

I'm going to give it to you guys straight. *Hope DSM LA reads this and if you're curious if DSM is worth the visit, you should read this* Many of you looking at this are probably going to be out-of-town'ers, local LA people would probably already know this. I visited this store with a little to no expectations, I do enjoy the DSM brand and its global presence but not all the stores live up to the name. Without going too deep into comparing the physical stores, let's talk about why this place is horrid. Upon arriving, you will be greeted with a number of security guards and then the maze begins. I like how the layout is very "free to roam" type of infrastructure and I will emphasize my deep appreciation for the brands carried here. However, my problem is with the team that runs DSM LA and the lack of service they provide. Maybe I'm poor, maybe I'm wealthy, they will never know because I don't flaunt my wealth or lack of wealth. I browsed the shop with a few items in mind to either try on or purchase if they had my size. Unfortunately, after a good 20 minutes roaming the store and pointing out items I am interested in, a sales rep finally approaches me and gives me the stare down along with a condescending "that piece is very expensive." Mind you, I shop at Barney's and Maxfield's when looking for designer goods or exclusive items, I'm not stranger to all the brands carried and its price point. At this point, I know what I'm in for because this is not the only place in LA that does this. But I'll tell you know, their attention to the Asian kids who drench themselves in Thom Browne, Off-White, Balenciaga and Rick Owens will get all the attention, and it's obvious, those kids look rich. I don't care about the stereotypical judgements or anything of that nature, I'm Asian myself and I know how it's like to be misjudged in my advantage or disadvantage. All in all, I could say DSM LA is 10/10 in concept/design, selection 7/10, and last but certainly not least service 1/10. I really hope DSM LA's upper office sees this feedback because what me and my group felt today was extremely unacceptable. Yeah sure we aren't looking to spend $10,000 in the store during our visit, doesn't mean we are not capable. Sorry, you lost a few prospective clients.

Mediocre, the visual merchandising and the product offering was very good. The first day I went I came in the last hour which is bad because the COVID capacity was reached. Everyone in the line had left once the security said he wouldn't let anyone in. It was a waste of time because some people had driven 1-2 hours to come to this store. There should be a better system for that. The second day, I waited for 30 minutes and was able to get in. I wasn't greeted or acknowledged once which is fine, but is surprising for high end retail. The store is more like a museum. It carries a lot of CDG items, Noir Kei Ninomiya, Chopova Lowena, Levi's x Miu Miu collab, Rick Owens, etc. Some were special items, but majority were wholesale items that I could find at another store. I went to the Rose Bakery to try. I got the chai latte and the black berry lemon cream scone. The person working at the Rose Bakery was in charge of doing everything: serving, cooking, ringing customers up. I was a bit surprised at how much she had to do. Also, the chai latte was very weak/poor due to the lack of taste. The black berry lemon cream scone was good as she said she made it in house. She did ask me for feedback and then told me apparently that the "chai concentrate" she made was too weak. I didn't want to be mean and say anything else so I just ended up smiling. Overall, after eating, I located the exit which basically ejects you into a parking lot that leads to a street that looks like a freeway entrance with no sideway. This visit was more like a once in a lifetime visit. It was semi bad and I felt that I came and expected way too much from Dover Street Market Los Angeles. I don't think this store is for me, but I saw people come and endure the conditions and shop.

If A$AP mob, Odd Future, and hype beast has Russian babies. They would probably hang out in a place like this. I was pretty satisfied with the amount of effort that went into each and every section of this "Market". Really inspirational and very thought out. The staff was super friendly and very casual, but that was a little confusing for me because I couldn't tell if people were just saying wassup or they worked there? Really loved how they had a closer to home section with graphic tees I would actually buy and can afford. (I ain't gonna lie and pretend like I spend bread on fashion) If you're in LA or NY I would recommend stoping by these "markets" if you're into fashion, art, and street culture Dover is a great one stop shop.

Compared to Dover Street Market, Fred Segal seems like TJ Maxx: Like the famed L.A. quasi-department store (be it the "real" one now on Sunset or the one everyone actually considers Fred Segal on Melrose), Dover Street Market is a collection of fashion brands, accessories, bric-a-brac, and whatnot, much of which is featured in small store-within-a-store settings. But the mastermind behind Dover Street Market is Rei Kawakubo, founder of Comme des Garçons, possibly the most avant garde ― and influential ― fashion houses of the last half-century. This, kiddies, is what bleeding-edge cool looks like. This is the sixth Dover Street Market in the world: The original opened in 1994 in London (originally on Dover Street ― hence the name), followed by New York, Tokyo, Singapore, and Beijing. This Los Angeles iteration opens with a heavy focus on (expensive) streetwear, with brands such as Off-White, Palace Skateboards, Stüssy, Undercover, Noah, Nikelab, Paradis3, Better Gift Shop, and, of course, the Comme des Garçons Play line. BAPE and Supreme suddenly seem so passé by their exclusion. If those brands are a bit too "music festival" for one's taste, never fear: Prada, The Row, Jil Sander, Thom Browne, Balenciaga, Maison Margiela, Vêtements, and Raf Simons all have a presence here. Chanel has a display for fine jewelry, and Gucci has a large corner full of that ridiculously popular hypertackiness by Alessandro Michele. (I just do not get it. I really don't.) And then there are designers you've probably never heard of: Xiao Li? Grace Wales Bonner? The Vampire's Wife? Paccbet? Kiko Kostadinov? Well, whoever they are, they're here, too. DSM ain't cheap: They sell Gucci, after all. But it is a place where one can get closer to affording the fancy life than, say, Neiman Marcus. The large selection of Comme des Garçons wallets, for example, is in the same $150-$250 price range as Longchamp ― and much better quality. There were t-shirts on opening day for $40-$50. I would have bought a pair of Junya Watanabe New Balances at $135 had they not only come in tiny, Japanese-only sizes. The staff was very courteous and helpful, especially considering the harried circumstances of the opening day. More than the merchandise, the store itself is a visual treat. A series of mannequins dressed in white are topped with dinosaur skulls. Stephen Jones Millinery is displayed on a mound of tumbling chairs. A variety of strange art pieces ― from a floor lamp encased in a Lucite box to what looks like a chandelier made from a tangle of Mardi Gras beads ― hang from the ceiling. And is that a Cindy Sherman hanging over the jewelry section? Dover Street Market is a very special place, and Los Angeles is lucky to have been chosen to host one. I look forward to my next visit ― it's worth the trip to the far-flung edge of the L.A. River to experience something so truly unique.

If i could give this place negative stars i would I went into the store for the first time and instantly felt eyes on me and this rude short white lady names Sarah came around the corner and started following me around i am half black and Hispanic she acted very rude she said a racist comment about a tee-shirt looking better then a dark skin person. I felt really uncomfortable when she stated that. I don't know if she thought I was trying to steal or what but being followed isn't my ideal choice for shopping i ended up leaving and not getting anything due to me being uncomfortable at this establishment never experienced this in my life will never go back

great selection of designer clothing from a plethora of luxury brands from maison margiela to comme des garçons to streetwear brands like braindead studios. staff was checking in with me throughout my shopping experience but they ended up not having my size in anything i was interested in. will be back soon though!

I had walked into the store to purchase some online ceramics gear like normal. Been coming to Dover LA for some time now and their service is always top-notch professional from all employees. Except for today when I went to try on the two T-shirts that I was interested in and Henry and his co-worker (didn't catch his name but he had the Union Agon blue dunks on with a black zip-up & was working palace at the time) discriminated me by suspecting myself of stealing because I was in the fitting room for about 2-3mins, 5mins TOPS. Henry had banged on my fitting room door for no reason and then called his co-worker for back up lol. Store cameras & my friend are all witnesses to this. I am not upset too much or don't expect any type of repercussions. I just ask that management speak and educate staff on proper/logical signs or someone trying to steal because I buy from Dover all season long & will continue to do so. But this is just plain disrespectful on Henry's part please do better sir. Thank you have a good one.

I wanted to dislike this place because it's so precious and totally not my scene. But the staff was surprisingly down to Earth and not at all snobby to me, even though I arrived on a skateboard and was filthy and dressed like a 15-year-old boy (I am a grow-up woman ) Thumb's Up, DSM!

Love this store the manager is amazing and kind Jeff is amazing highly come by and shop.

Manager Jeff is the best, highly recommend to shop over here, can't say enough good things about them.
