Dover Vineyards

The wines are unimpressive, but that seems on par with other wineries in the area. The donkeys are fun, definitely the best part of our experience. What we were most disappointed in was the space, the website mentions that everything is outside so we were prepared, but the website also mentions heat sources, it was in the 30s and they were all "out of propane"... as if propane could not easily be purchased nearby. There is also an absolute menace of a cat on the property that refused to not climb on us, and when one of our group tried to push the cat off her lap it bit and clawed her until an employee picked it up and put it inside a building.

We stumbled on Dover Vineyard on our way back from another vineyard to Charlotte raceway. At first it looked like just a roadside vegetable stand. But once you get in, there is an area for wine tastings, a beautiful wood stove with very comfortable seating. In addition, outside there are heaters, comfy seating and live music. The staff was over and above. We were the only ones when we first arrived. However, it got very busy and the girls were able to keep up and make everyone feel special and welcome. And if you really are missing your kitty they have us very friendly one there that's always looking for a little palm oil. Oh, I should mention that the wine was really good.

This is a charming roadside market. It's outside but covered. Nice selection of wine which we taste tested. Surrounding area has seating to sit back and view the vineyards. Market has canned goods and preserves. Don't forget to visit the goats. Ha ha!

@dovervineyard was amazing!! We did a wine tasting for 10.00 a piece during which we sat in shaded seating right next to the vineyard. The staff was very knowledgeable about the wine, helps to pick to harvest, and answered other questions we had about the vineyard and wine tasting. The vineyard also sales varies jellies and other home made goods. It was such an awesome experience in such a beautiful place. I recently went to Dover Vineyards to see a friend play there. There was an older woman who had just lost her husband after 60 years of marriage. I asked someone on the staff if they sold flowers. Although they didnt, after hearing why I was asking one of the ladies working there grabbed a jar and went out into the field to cut flowers for the older woman. This was so kind I was very apprieciative. The staff there were all so friendly and kind. I really enjoyed our time there. They have tables and fireplaces outside to sit around and roast hotdogs. Really cute little place. Wine was great as well ! Id recommend !

Great local farm stand with a lot to offer! In addition to fresh produce and local bread & eggs they have wine tastings. Show up on weekends in the summer and fall to listen to music on the farm. My kids love to feed the goats.

Cute unassuming winery right down the street from the speedway. I attended their spritzy rosè release party and it was great. Had live music, free tastings and free small bites. The building is a quaint lil old house wkth even more quaint old style furnishings. Very cute.

What a wonderful bucket list item right in my own backyard. Lastnight I had the pleasure of having a 4 course dinner with wine pairing in a local vineyard in Concord,NC. The dinner was Autumn/Fall inspired by Chef Treasure Williams and all the wines were from Dover Vineyards. The wines were available for purchase that very night. The food was amazing..the chef out did herself. Her pumpkin tiramisu was the stuff that dreams are made of. As for the wine my table mates and I all loved Cyrils Blend ($30) and the Mellifera ($60). The Cyrils Blend reminded me of a juicy balanced Argentinian wine and the Mellifera is a late harvest wine which has a sweet dessert taste.
