Where to eat and drink in Duluth’s Lincoln Park - Eater Twin Cities

"Start the day at Dovetail Cafe for a cup of Almanac Coffee and freshly baked pastries or quiche. The interior is almost aggressively quaint with wood everything, a few plastic seats reminiscent of elementary school days, and a hum of activity. In addition to being an all day cafe, this building also houses a folk school offers all kinds of classes. Inside here anyone can learn to make that head, heart, and hands connection to build things and forge connections." - Joy Summers

The quiche was amazing! I've only had quiche once before, but this blew me away with how good it was. And the side salad that comes with it has such a good dressing that pairs perfectly with the quiche to balance the meal out. I got the meat quiche which was perfect, my partner got the veggie one, and although still good it wasn't as good as the meat one in my opinion, it may have needed more salt or something. I had a dirty chai here and it was one of the best I've ever had, they've got some really good espresso. Service was by no means bad, it just wasn't the friendliest, great food and drinks though

Great food, very cool and laid back atmosphere. You order, pick a seat and they bring you the food and you bus the dishes. There's so much to look at and explore. The staff are very kind. The drinks are delicious, we ordered mocha and an iced chocolate Chai latte. They are spendy but it's all local and natural ingredients and a small business so it is worth it!

Very good and fast service for a busy Sunday morning. The man who helped us (possibly the owner?) was exceptionally kind and it really brightened our morning 😊 I got the vegan Valhalla and it was very good! My only complaint would be that it was a little cold but I didn't mind. The sauce and tofu were great! I also got a iced latte with raspberry syrup and oat milk that was incredible. The building itself is very charming with a lot of other products you can buy. The sense of community in the space is very nice.

A true gem in Duluth. I come to this cafe nearly every time I'm around. It's my favorite to just chill out in. Love the laid back vibe, lovely wood, and cool aesthetic. Employees are very polite and helpful, and know how to make a good Latte. ☕

I was surprised how spacious it was inside. There are a few dining sections, some of which are suitable for working on your laptop and others for groups. A quiche, a bagel sandwich, a rice bowl were all great. I saw some interesting tap beer options on the menu so I would love to come back to try some next time. Their large brick wall gives an impression of being in a warehouse and I think it would be awesome to see some artwork by local artists there.

We got breakfast takeout on our way out of town, but I wish I could have stayed to eat and hang here! The food itself was delicious (I got the burrito bowl, my wife got the quiche). Unfortunately the bowl was so fresh and hot that it leaked through the bottom (but I realize this is hard with compostable containers, which I love that they have). Regardless, I will certainly be back next time I'm in Duluth!

An aesthetically cute and cozy place to enjoy your breakfast and coffee. The Affogato is strong yet sweet for the amount they give you. The breakfast food is excellent and great to start out your morning with. We got the Duluth traverse and the Skyline and both were more than enough for our morning breakfast. They come with a side of salad and the salad was great. The employees are very nice and helpful. There are items in this place to purchase coffee, stickers, gifts, pictures and much more, so we'd recommend walking around and looking at the neat items they have on sale. The bathrooms are very well kept and clean. Parking is easy but limited. You can parking around the block if you cannot find parking in the street. Overall, an excellent place to relax at after a long day OR an excellent start to a long day to get energized for the day. We came here when Duluth Grill was too busy and it was 100% worth it!
