Spent a beautiful afternoon at Down The Rabbit Hole Wines, and it truly lived up to the hype! The location is absolutely stunning — surrounded by rolling vineyards, open green fields, and that signature relaxed McLaren Vale vibe. It’s one of those places where you can unwind, sip good wine, and forget about time. The wines were incredible — smooth, well-balanced, and full of character. I especially enjoyed their reds, perfect to pair with the delicious food from their seasonal menu. Everything felt fresh, wholesome, and made with care. The presentation and flavours both stood out beautifully. As someone who loves photography, this place is a dream — from the charming bus bar and rustic seating to the sunset views over the vineyards, every corner is picture-perfect. Whether you’re going for a tasting, a relaxed lunch, or just to soak in the scenery, it’s worth every moment. Overall, Down The Rabbit Hole is a perfect blend of great wine, great food, and a beautiful atmosphere — a must-visit in McLaren Vale! 🍇✨

Every moment here was sublime. The setting, the vibe and the service were all brilliant. The lunch was superb and Chelsea took absolutely wonderful care of us. The rest of the staff were also so friendly and welcoming. We loved it so much we stayed for a couple of extra bottles of wine in the magnificent garden. Thank you-we will be back!!!

We arrived early before the kitchen opened, but the owner was very welcoming and let us explore the space and order ahead. The place is beautiful, with a relaxing vibe and lovely surroundings. We had the potatoes and pizza—both were delicious. Sadly, we didn’t try the wine as we were on a road trip, but the friendly staff and great atmosphere made it a memorable stop. Definitely worth a visit!

We loved this place! We’d heard such great things from our Melbourne friends, so when visiting Adelaide it was on the list and it matched and exceeded our expectations. The location, the sunset, the music, to the table setting and waitstaff, especially Cassie, was 10/10! Highly recommend 🙌🏽.

Upon arrival, the staff were welcoming but we were then confronted with the highly disappointing wine tasting wait time of 40 minutes. While the atmosphere was pleasant and very “insta worthy”, the food did not uphold that same standard. Our chipped plate and old tasting water had us hoping for great food, but again, disappointed to their very limited food options that were in no way child or family friendly. Their child friendly area was quite underwhelming with very scarce options for children to play. It was an experience not worthy of a drive unless you’re paying for the atmosphere and honestly, quite ordinary wine. Whilst being very photo friendly, that’s all this place has going for it.

Friends and i came here to celebrate a milestone birthday! It was such a superb experience!! The ambiance and setting, the staff, the meal all exceptional. Thank you for a memorable time… just love it!

Absolutely loved our visit to Down The Rabbit Hole! The mushroom arancini balls were outstanding – perfectly crispy and full of flavour. The pizzas were equally fabulous, fresh and packed with delicious toppings. I also have to say, their rosé is hands down the best I’ve tasted in the region – so refreshing and beautifully balanced. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, and the staff were professional, warm, and genuinely friendly. A must-visit spot in McLaren Vale!

We came here for a birthday dinner after spending some time in the Adelaide Hills region and were so glad we did! Our only regret is not finding here sooner! The place is beautiful, we absolutely loved the aesthetic, outside and inside. The food is amazing, we came on pizza night and tried their new menu and it was so tasty. But the most memorable part was the amazing staff! So friendly and chatty, we never felt rushed at any point, I’ve never had such friendly staff ever before. Especially Talia who served us all night. Thank you for making our evening so special.
